Now that Christmas has successfully been completed and the upcoming New Year in 5 hours will be completed too, I can finally get back to coding.
I miss it so much, I am rusty. I feel like I'm back to square one (being dramatic here) but I need to up my React.js and C# skills again before I start my new job in 2 weeks~!
Also, I have received a lot of asks since I've been busy and I will get to answering all of them tomorrow - I haven't ignored you guys on purpose oops~!
ALSO don't forget to make some coding/programming new year resolutions!! (Should post about them so I can get inspiration please...) I'll post mine later tomorrow as well! [my post on making coding New Year resolutions]
Have a nice day! 🥰🙏🏾✨💻

I think i would like sci-fi a lot more if more stories took the evolution route to it. so many sci-fi stories focus so much on the technology side and "Let's go to space! let's see capitalist hell!" and like, yeahh those have their purpose and place in sci-fi. But personally i love when sci-fi gets speculative with biology. How will the earth change? what animals developed from changed ecosystems - which animals evolved and which ones went extinct? I want people to take the science part of science fiction and explore biology and ecology and how the planet and animals change with the world. I"m tired of it only focusing on technology and robots and being more cyber fantasy.

i love getting to see strangers opinions online today i saw a counterpoint post abt how the torment nexus joke is from ppl who r just afraid of scientific progress and privately i thought well i dont think the torment nexus joke is about ppl being ‘scared of progress’ i think its more about like, eugenics. fascism. etc. and ur epic counterpoint being to ignore that and use an argument that the ppl who r down w the eugenics use is kind of. bizarre

Body Duplicating Sci-Fi Adventure The Alters Gets First Gameplay Trailer
The Alters is a fascinating new sci-fi survival game from 11 Bit Studios, makers of Frostpunk and This War of Mine. First revealed last October, the game stars a man named Jan shipwrecked on a desolate planet with no one to rely on but himself. And by “himself,” I mean multiple versions of himself.
Jan is a miner who crashlands on a hostile planet closely orbiting a star, resulting in deadly hot sunrises. His only method of survival is a high-tech mobile base that requires multiple people with various skills to operate. Thankfully, he harnesses a resource called Rapidium that allows him to create several copies of himself, each their own sentient being with independent specialties and personalities reflecting the “what if” scenarios of Jan’s life. These copies, or Alters, also have their own ambitions and fears, which will lead to conflicts as you try to work together to survive and, hopefully, escape.

The Alters is launching sometime this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Today’s Xbox Partner Preview also revealed it’s coming to Game Pass for console and PC.
