Pro Tip: If you get dizzy or lightheaded when getting blood drawn then ask to lay down for it, doing so significantly improves it.
#also make sure to hydrate before and after#chronic illness#postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome#pots#chronically ill#blood draw#i used to get terrible symptoms when getting blood drawn#like i'd get super lightheaded#and i'd get this weird uncomfortable warm pins and needles feeling on my scalp#and i'm pretty sure it conditioned me into being afraid of needles#because i used to be totally chill with them#laying down when getting blood drawn significantly improved my experience#i don't get the weird pins and needles feeling#and i only get a little bit lightheaded#it's like night and day#it goes from a horrible awful uncomfortable annoying bad experience#to just a horrible one#and most of the horribleness is just because i'm afraid of needles

God damnit... So, I'm slightly genderfluid. Most of the time the shifts happen slowly or infrequently, and mostly stay on sort of genderless-demigirl-demiboy-??? scale, if that makes sense.
And I've been sensing that shift is about to happen, and was hoping it would be towards more feminine end of my scale, but nooooooo, obviously not, it went towards more masculine because why not.
It's also strong enough this time, that I may need to cut my hair short and get a new binder bc my old one is too small now... Hair I can luckily cut myself, but binders won't come cheap... 🤦

My gender still seems like a completely unsolvable puzzle, but the one piece I’ve been able to hold on to for the last couple years is that I feel infinitely more kinship with lesbians than with straight men. I assume that means something, at least.
