The second part of Youhei Azakami and Junya Enoki interview is here. Part one is here, if you are interested!

Apologies for the rough translation, like always. (Still bedridden, but yes, there are times of lucidity.)

Some things:

* Enojun at first referred to Winter as they/them. Azakami then referred to Winter as a girl. He even mentioned Alice Moriarty. It seems the two actors, especially Azakami-kun, are reading the manga.

* Azakami is looking forward to Psychology Lab murder arc

* Enojun is particularly waiting for the Plateau Auberge arc. I am darn curious how will the two interpret the manga!

* The two are having fun messing around with Taku Yashiro and his character Spitz.

-- The "Shibuya Apocalypse Serial Murder Case," depicted over three episodes, was more serious compared to previous cases.

Junya Enoki, who plays Totomaru Isshiki (hereafter referred to as Enoki): The way of killing was gruesome.

Yohei Azakami, who plays Ron Kamonohashi (hereafter referred to as Azakami): From the very beginning, a person was impaled on a unicorn's horn. It's quite rare to start with such a shocking scene. The "Hand Collector Murder Case" was brutal too, but this one was even more shocking. Additionally, the presence of the Book of Revelation hinted at a different kind of development than before.

Enoki: The card tricks and how Ron seemed to struggle with the deduction. Moreover, the enemy was more vicious, and there was an overall sense of tension.

Azakami: I was surprised at how often Ron was shaken.

Enoki: He was being toyed with.

Azakami: Yes, exactly. But he managed to corner them properly.

Enoki: In the end, he saw through the disguise. Though I wonder if it was necessary to pour black syrup on it (laughs).

Azakami: That was part of the direction too (laughs).

Enoki: It's like making someone taste humiliation once (laughs). But in the end, we couldn't catch them, so it feels like we were outsmarted.

—Winter Moriarty, despite being an enemy, had a cool side that probably left a strong impression on the viewers.

Enoki: That's right. I liked them because they were cute.

Azakami: It turned out that she was actually a girl. When I think about it, I wonder if she was trying hard and pushing herself. It makes me think she's kind of cute (laughs).

But with her sister Alice having passed away, it seemed like a character you couldn't empathize with, yet could. I realized that she's a character loved by the creator, and while I'm not sure if she'll appear again, her future actions are something to watch out for.

—What did you think of Yumiri Hanamori's (Winter Moriarty) performance?

Azakami: I was surprised because Hanamori-chan had a strong impression of playing cute characters.

Enoki: I've seen her play quite a few cool characters, so I was familiar with it. Hanamori-san doesn't make the flavor too strong; she adds a bit of spice to a simple dish.

Azakami: It's a performance that doesn't feel like an anime character, right?

Enoki: Yeah, that's true.

Azakami: I think they trust in the power of the visuals. Also, from watching on the side, I noticed there were many directions to avoid adding too much inflection. It seemed like they were balancing the overall performance by holding back in parts that were too agitated and expressing emotions in parts where they wanted agitation.

-- In "Shibuya Revelation Serial Murder Case," Ron's cornered situation was depicted. Did you consciously consider the lack of composure while acting?

Azakami: Yes, that's right. The scale of the incident is large, and Ron is being cornered, so I felt I needed to match expressions like a sweaty, anxious look.

ーーThroughout the entire 2nd Season, there are more instances of Ron being flustered, aren't there?

Azakami: It increases towards the end, doesn't it? There will be situations where he is cornered, like in the "Shibuya Apocalypse Serial Murder Case," so I tried to keep the acting consistent during those times.

ーーWhat did you think of Toto's performance?

Azakami: It was rare for Toto to go in for a punch, wasn't it?

Enoki: Indeed. He got taken down quickly though (laughs). Personally, I was touched by the interactions between Toto and Amamiya. Amamiya couldn't just leave a serial killer on the loose, so she staked out at the hotel. I felt a sense of humanity there.

ーーPerhaps Toto has influenced it in some way.

Enoki: I wonder. At the very least, I think she has always had a kind side.

Azakami: Since he has solved various cases and is recognized by people at the Metropolitan Police Department, he might be having some influence.

Enoki: That's true, that might be the case.

—Do you have a favorite character in the 2nd Season?

Azakami: For me, it's Mofu-sensei. In the 1st Season, Mofu-sensei appeared mostly in serious scenes, but in the 2nd Season, there's an episode where Mofu-sensei is fully involved in a comedic storyline. It's structured differently from before, and I personally really like that episode.

—Mofu is quite involved in the story, isn't she?

Azakami: Yes, because she's helping to uncover the "something" implanted in Ron.

Enoki: For me, it's Amamiya. In the 2nd Season, there are quite a few moments where I find myself thinking, "Wow, this person is so compassionate."

Azakami: She’s been leaving more to Toto, hasn’t she?

Enoki: Yes, yes. I think she's a character that people will like even more than in the 1st Season because you can feel the justice of the police through her.

-- How about Spitz, who was frequently mentioned last time?

Azakami: He was active, but...

Enoki: He doesn't talk, right?

Azakami: Exactly! He suddenly appears and takes the spotlight.

Enoki: Everyone loves Spitz, right?

Azakami: He's like a beloved character. Because (Taku) Yashiro plays him, it feels even more so. Moreover, Spitz is cunning and comes to help at the right moments.

Enoki: He steals the good scenes.

Azakami: You start to wonder if he's the protagonist.

-- (Laughs). Did you have opportunities to record with Hikasa-san and Yashiro-san in the 2nd Season?

Azakami: Occasionally.

Enoki: Basically, everyone leaves quickly.

Azakami: Compared to the 1st Season, their appearances have decreased a bit. But they left a strong impression in the few scenes they had, so I remember well the times we worked together.

—I think one of the highlights of the 2nd season is the impressive lineup of guest voice actors. What do you think about that?

Azakami: This time, we have quite a luxurious lineup of voice actors appearing. I can't go into details as it would be a spoiler, but people from various generations have helped to enhance the climax.

Enoki: But since characters keep dying, the people who come for the recording sessions change every week (laughs).

Azakami: Exactly (laughs). I can't say who will be appearing, but personally, I really like the "Psychology Lab Murder Case," so I hope you'll look forward to it.

ーーFinally, could you tell us about the key points to watch out for in the future?

Azakami: With multiple people having been killed in this incident, I think Ron's anger towards the M family has intensified. Personally, I hope that's the case. Moving forward, Ron is likely to confront the M family with the determination to prevent any more victims, so I hope you'll watch his efforts closely.

Enoki: Ron's past will be thoroughly depicted in the future. Along with that, people related to Ron will appear, and I hope you'll look forward to finding out who their voice actors are. There will be moments of crisis, but Ron and Toto will help each other as partners, and there will be scenes towards the end that clearly show the depth of the bond between them, so I hope you'll look forward to that as well.

Reverse 1999 x MLP AU Idea!

So! I said I had this in my drafts for a while but I just realized it was weirdly formatted so I'm redoing everything.

everything here was inspired by this post/fanart and the characters will be mostly based on them! with a few extra mixed in.

First off, Context! While this is more based on Gen 4 (Friendship is Magic), it does feel a bit of a Gen 5 derivative in that it's supposed to be future Equestria.

The Alicorn Princesses and the Element of Harmony are long gone, simply a distant memory in the minds of many of today's ponies. Equestria since then have not had any one or two princesses to rule, however remnants of the old kingdom still persist. The Twilight Foundation as well as The School for the Primary Defence of Ponykind (SPDP) were founded by old members of Princess Twilight's court and Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns respectively, and made as a response to a prophecy which was uncovered that said on the last day of the 2nd millennium since Princess Luna's banishment, a great calamity will befall upon Equestria which will turn the land of ponies back to how it once was. And so on the last day of the year 1999, time stood still and started reversing everything. Nopony was safe from it's effects... except for one. Her name was Invert Tempo. The Timekeeper, of the Twilight Foundation.

(These are just names I personally came up with. If a better suggestion comes for any of them then I shall consider changing it)

Invert Tempo - Vertin (Earth pony) I saw a post once that said Vertin was just an anagram of Invert and I really wanted to incorporate that. Tempo was the suggestion of a friend, which relates to her musical inclination. or a shortened for of temporal which... y'know... fits very well

Sonnet "Sonetto" Moon - Sonetto (Unicorn) Honestly Sonetto is already a good pony name, but I wanted to give her a name akin to Twilight (There's a few parallels with those two not just in the post above), hence Sonnet Moon with Sonetto being a nickname.

"Captain R3G" Applecore - Regulus (Earth Pony) Applecore was actually the first name I came up with out of anything here because Regulus definately feels like she could be part of the Apple Family, maybe not directly Applejack's lineage though. I actually had a harder time with her nickname (Heavily inspired by Vinyl aka DJ Pon3)

Mistilteinn - Druvis III (Unicorn) She holds a bouquet of mistletoe, mistilteinn is literally just mistletoe... I could not NOT have her named after it. Also that can give her the nickname Mistil which sounds cute and cool!

Southern Breeze - Sotheby (Pegasus) Honestly I mostly picked this cause it was close sounding to Sotheby. Like you could also argue Sotheby could be a nickname because So(u)the(rn) B(r)ee(ze).

Morning Lillies - Lilya (Pegasus) This one also didn't have much thought put into it, just that Yellow = Sun = Morning and Lilya = Lillies and Morning Lillies sounded pony enough.

Headcanons!

Because of magic shenaniganry after the alicorns disappeared, earth ponies and pegasi can now use magic much like unicorns, but only a few of them. Some unicorns also lost their magic because of this hence a divide in "Normal" ponies and Arcanist ponies.

Applecore is a part of the very large Apple Family and runs Radio APPLe on her ship much like in canon. She also doesn't like people calling her by her real name so she goes Captain, Reg, or Reggy most of the time.

Mr. APPLe is a result of one of Applecore's experimentation in alchemy.

Orange Blossom is the filly of someone from the Orange Family and a Changeling, making her a half pony half changeling hybrid which also gives her minor shape shifting abilities.

being part of the Orange family also means technically Orange Blossom is distantly related to Applecore.

perhaps later on I shall add more but for now this is basically the gist of my ideas. Their cutie marks especially cause I wanna brainstorm what those could be like.

I'm trying to watch Athena P lore videos because god are they entertaining and so funny. But here's some shows/movies I would love a lore deep dive on and why:

Inspector gadget reboot - the 'romance' between penny and Talon was so confusing yet endearing. Also, loving how chief Quimby just Disguises himself just to give gadget a misson

Total drama - not only was it a huge fan of gross out humor and has our overlord chris mclain, it literally introduced me to the ' bad boy x good girl' trope before ripping it out and taking a character ( who was literally perfect with another) and forcing them together due to aesthetics.

Transformers: robots in Disguise ( 2015) or Transformers prime - two shows that have fanbases debating ( seriously), each saying why each respective show is better. But other than that, both are fine for what they are and gave me two crushes that I hold dearly.

Mia and me - a fairy show that's not only animated but live action? With the main character having an ability to talk to unicorns? And with one of her bullies DISCOVERING HER SECRET LIFE??

Ben and hollies little kingdom - super wholesome and I love how the humans coinside with the fairies

Max and ruby - there's a tiktoker who made a whole series on why ruby was annoying. Need I say more?

Trollhunters and the spin off 3below - honestly from what I remember, I loved the stakes of the show and how cool the Armour the main character had. Regarding the spin off, loving how the bully I think was into the alien girl

Max steel ( not the 2000s one. sorry) - Max having to come up with the most unbelievable excuses as to why he has to go is cliche but also kind of funny? And the fact that the company Max's dad works for has lore as well is kind of interesting

Dino squad - I actually remembered this show through a cringe compilation of all things and had to add it. From the theme song, to the plotines, to the fact that I had a crush on Laruzo even though he was obviously queer coded ( his Dino form was cool though)

Jem and the holograms - the I am a giant song from the misfits lives in my head rent free. Also, jem practicing trying to reveal to that one guy only from him to yell at her is funny to me

Lolirock - same with jem as revolution is iconic as well as the villians. Plus, why is was eventually taken off

The tinker bell movies - forgot I was supposed to mention movies as well ( sorry). But I love them and how the fairies each have their own abilities ( as well as different kinds). From pirate fairies to winter fairies, it's really cool.

Barbie: a fashion fairytale - I love all barbie movies equally but this...this just takes the cake. What other movie will you see ken making a child cry, fairies with attitude, rotting dresses, and a roller skating aunt?

Zoom (2015) - the trailer showing a scene of the main character and her character arguing is honestly what made me want to watch it ( I haven't but I'm planning on it)

Super hero squad - kid me was laughing my butt off when falcon married his bird. So...

The little prince movie - I didn't even read the book but when I saw that the old man had died, I was emotionally devastated, especially after listening to all his stories which inspired the main character to go find the prince UGHHH

The book of life - is it cliche? Yes. Is it like coco? Yes. Do I like that in the end, the main boy has to sing a guitar version of creep to calm down a bull? Absolutely yes!

Epic - josh hutcherson, beyonce, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny knoxville, an enemies to lovers storyline, a snail, a royal guard having a love for the queen, the enemies being bugs, and ANDD a nerdy dad. That's it.

Rise of the guardians - I absolutely love it followed jack and his arc of being seen and when he finally is, the kid and him are just so excited! Also, the fact that a lot of people are simping for the Easter bunny is a testament to how many people will call anyone sexy.

Daniel spellbound - wanted to add this because there's an awesome creator ( cough cough @bonkalore) who's made an amazing au out of this show and I wanted to see what you thought of it and your theories

Speaking of my art

✨️I want to share with u some sketches with my new Monster High g3 original character and their story

🌟Meet Min, a child of a mimic (unknown which one)

Pronounce: any, but mostly uses they/them

There are some details in the design, which Min mimicked from mimics from media, bc they don't know who are their parents and what Min is even suppose to be

Before Min mimicked anything for their appearance, they was something grayish with human alike shape. Not cool huh

So, Min took some clothes, front teeth and ears from Glitchtrap and used fur colour as the hair colour (when they played the fnaf vr they got really inspired by mimic from fnaf)

With time, Min find out about mimic in My Little Pony, so they mimicked the horn, a part of an year (so technically just recollected the already existing part of), bow from the tail for the bowtie, eye colour (they didn't make their eyes a crystals, like the mlp mimic, but they are still really sparkly) and parts of the mane colours for some of their hair streaks

As the time went, Min discovered another mimic in media. A DnD mimic. Bc Min didn't had many friends for that time, they didn't played DnD, but read a lot about it. Most commonly used image for the DnD mimic is the "chest" looking one, so Min mimicked sharp teeth to the triangle parts on their clothes, sharp teeth (but Glitchtraps front ones remain), a wooden texture for the arm and made a bag, that looks like a chest mimic

When Min got in Monster high school, they they didn't quietly understand how to start being friends with somebody there.

They decided firstly to just watch what is even going on there. And one time they saw Cleo. Her skin was so shiny and sparky, Min loves sparky things. So they asked Cleo that she is beautiful and if Min can mimic her skin. At first Cleo was confused, but asked what is even "mimic" is and Min mimicked it quickly and showed how does it look. Cleo liked how her skin colour and sparkles lookes on Min, so she said "of course you can keep it like that, i like it"

With time, Min began to be friend with other gouls, like Frankie, Goulia, Clawdeen, Draculaura and Twyla

Min can mimic only appearance, no powers. So unicorn horn has no magic, they have no "glitching" powers and other stuff

Soooo yeah, I made a story about mimicking Cleo's skin bc I want to make an ooak/custom, by using g3 Cleo as a base :)

I was really inspired by mimics in media, u can tell. Especially when i made an art with mlp mimic as fnaf mimic for my mlp-fnaf au. I didn't kinda include the original true form of the fnaf mimic, bc Min would be definitely thinking like "nah, I already was gray, cmoooon. Boriiiiing"

Idk then I will make a custom of my oc, but I already ordered a base and boots, so now I'm waiting for them to arrive

I'm sorry for soooo many text here and if there is any mistakes in grammar. English is nor my first language and it's already 5 am and an air raid alarm (typical for Ukraine😭), my brain is not braining really

Daniel: lord, he rarely did his laundry when he was alive. Now that he's dead? Still the type to have the 'clothes chair' where shit he's worn but doesn't consider to be too dirty piles up in the corner. He has some attachment to the things he likes though, so he happily takes advantage of having cleaning staff at Trinity Gate and Auvergne and lets them do his laundry for him.

Armand: The vampire equivalent of a tiktok influencer doing shein hauls: there's no need to wash things because he wears that shit maybe three times and then out the door it goes (he is trying to donate now at least, unlike the 80s when his outfit of the night just got tossed). If he finds a really nice smelling detergent or a cool washing machine he'll do some laundry. But that's the exception, not the rule.

Marius: had staff to do his cleaning for most of his existence, now sends away for regular dry cleaning. Though he's not above tutting at Daniel for not doing his laundry when they live together (despite not actually doing any of his own).

Lestat: surprisingly meticulous. Maybe it's because he grew up without many fine things, and now he's got some control issues about it. He'll wash anything that's precious to him that can be washed and actually hangs it to dry (or has someone in Auvergne do that for him) or sends away for dry cleaning.

❥ How they’d invite you home for the night (yes, it could be a pickup line): Armand and Daniel (both of them together), during the Devil's Minion era

Honestly they're the epitome of the 'we saw you from across the room and really liked your vibe' lmao. I don't think there's ever been a pick up line involved- as a mortal Daniel was drunk/coked up/high on the blood when they went unicorn hunting and let Armand take the reins. Even sober I don't see him as the type to be smooth with pick up lines. His ability to get someone in bed hinged on his ability to be genuinely interested in them in conversation. Being a good listener was his charm.

Armand did most of the talking, egging their target on- don't you find Daniel attractive? He has lovely eyes, does he not? And then he'd get in their ear about them having a very flexible relationship, that Daniel likes when he watches him with someone else, and then like a kid making their barbie dolls kiss he'd get them getting handsy and boom, it's done.

These are all movies I watched between 4 and 10 years old:

The last unicorn made me want to fight God (I was bad at reading the room and understanding messages or match the emotional tone of most stuff I watched. Still am)

Kirikou and the sorceress had such a positive impact on my still developing brain. I love that movie such a normal amount... (lying. I am NOT normal about that movie)

The suicide shop was grotesque alright... but again it didn't make me sad, made me reflect and I was fascinated by the main characters

The Triplets of Belleville: had a weird style and I didn't understand shit because I found it in French and I didn't speak French when I was 7 with unlimited internet access.

Plague dogs. I didn't understand a single word of English, in my mind the dogs made it to wherever they needed to go idc. (Now that I have watched it with an adult eye, it's rather depressing, but I'm choosing to be delusional, and so I'll keep the same opinion kid-me had. The dogs made it don't talk to me)

HOWEVER.

However... there was a movie that kind of- unsettled me. You may have gathered form the movies I named above that they are- unusual, and some of them should not be watched by a 4/10 years old kid.

BUT... I have always loved animated movies and from the moment I learned how to type on a keyboard I spent several afternoons opening youtube and looking for "complete animated movie free" optionally I also added "italian" but I didn't care to understand, animated images were enough to sate me.

So that faithful day when I was 8 or 9 and I pressed "search" and I saw a cat in the thumbnail and the title of that movie was "Felidae"... I thought I was in for a normal time okay????

BUT NO

I didn't understand ANYTHING. That movie was in Deutsch and I DID NOT SPEAK THAT LANGUAGE LOL. I STILL DON'T.

There were cats killing each others, there ewas a COUPLING. BETWEEN. CATS. In one of those scenes. ONE OF THE FRAMES WAS A DECAPITATED CAT WHOM FROM SOME CONTEXT I GATHERED WAS KILLED BECAUSE "SHE KNEW TOO MUCH"

And the death of the villain WAS BRUTAL. DUDE IT WAS PERPLEXING TO SAY THE LEAST.

Now- rewatching it out of curiosity in English and I k ow what the hell it was about, some things weirded me our more than they did when I was 8. That movie is... something???? finished the final map for Unicorn Overlord (well, not the final final Lv. 45 map in the epilogue section but ah, it's late so I'll do that tomorrow)

the ending was so good, and the final battle sequence was so cool, probably one of the coolest final boss sequences for an srpg that I've yet played (it's hard to get srpg final bosses on the same level of coolness as can be found in jrpg final bosses or just, final boss fights for most other genres of game in general)

Absolutely astonished by how much I loved this game. At first it was a bit baffling that a few people saw the game trailer and came to me like "Hey, this looks like a You game", enough so that I did actually go pick up the game bc I kept hearing good things about it, and then it was a bit embarrassing that not even fifteen minutes in I was like "Ah shit, this is exactly my sort of game" bc I really am just that predictable, but honestly? UO went above and beyond even those first impressions.

Like yes, this is one of the most "things I love in a narrative, and super fun game mechanics that I adore" my type of games I've ever played, but it's also genuinely so well-crafted and fun, and so much more than I imagined it would be from my initial impressions. Absolutely excellent game, excellent gameplay, excellent narrative, excellent characters (maracas are no longer enough, I need to stick these characters in a centrifuge). Can't wait to finish up the epilogue and see the final-final conclusion to everything.

some more thoughts under the cut bc spoilers

as part of my revised attack plan, I had spent a few hours grinding aux battles for gold so I could buy a shitton of healing/revival supplies which I then.......did not use at all. Didn't use a single item, except I think a strengthening serum once, during any phase of the final map.

Apparently? being a couple of levels higher due to those gold-seeking aux battles and rearranging Alain's unit for peak damage output and debuff negation (instead of balanced defense/offense like I had it all game) was enough that when I went to fight Galerius I was uh....able to finish his battle in one go, while only losing like, 20 hp for the entire unit. The same was true for Batlro during the third phase, the unit I had arranged for Galerius was able to one-shot Baltro and his six-party unit in one battle (but damn his special spell had such a cool attack animation).

So alas, I spent all this money and hunted down so many curative items.....for nothing (although maybe not, I have no idea what awaits me in that epilogue map battle).

I had actually seen a spoiler out of context so I knew about Illenia, but it's still really cool that she was alive like, that entirely upends the "dead parent" trope in a really weird way, and given how Not Okay Alain was about missing his mom, it's like, well this is nice actually. Probably a bit awkward, there is a lot of baggage to unpack, but nice. Glad she did not suffer the dead parent fate to its fullest potential.

(Also knew about the two endings beforehand, which was good bc I would have had a minor crisis if I had seen that decision w/out spoiler knowledge, bc until this point choosing the "1" option was always the best outcome, for the entire game except this one decision, where the "1" option actually leads to the bad end and also sounds a bit worse than the "2" option; but yeah I would have been pausing the game and running off to search for a guide if I had gone in entirely blind).

I ended up choosing Scarlett for the rite bc it seemed to fit the story beats the best (my temptation to go for Lex bc he also fit the story beats in a weird way aside), although seeing Scarlett foist the pontifex role onto Sanatio was kinda funny (sure, give the role to this guy who's so guilt-ridden he makes Renault's not-great coping w/ guilt look okay, and not I dunno, Nigel, the guy who was running things for a bit; I unsurprisingly love Sanatio so I say this all in good humor of course bc that was the wildest outcome honestly).

I wasn't unhappy w/ the Scarlett ending though, although now I'm curious about all of Alain's other paired endings since he can marry (or uh, become life partners with) basically every single character including characters he only has one rapport convo w/, which I was not expecting but which is super funny (everyone's a little in love w/ Alain, whether romantically, platonically, or in a familial way).

Gotta say I was not expecting Gilbert to marry Virginia though, that ending card hit me out of left field bc I would have sworn, based on the RCs, that he would have married Leah in absence a paired ending w/ Alain, but eh. All the other endings were either what I was expecting, or if they weren't, something really neat that still fit the character (Hilda becoming an apothecary was not on my bingo card, but damn does it actually fit her so well; thought Clive and Monica might hook back up, but it's cool that they each go on to rule their respective domains each in their own way while still remaining close friends). Really enjoyed all the character endings actually. Totally forgot the coliseum was a thing so I uh, never picked up Amalia, so I dunno what her deal is, but I'm sure I'd like her just as much as I do all the other characters.

Honestly really loved the entire story and all the characters. I'm surprised how well-balanced the narrative feels, since in my experience with other large-cast srpgs, there's usually a bit of narrative imbalance (minor characters only get minor character arcs or minimal extra writing, sometimes worldbuilding gets out of hand and details get lost, etc.), but everything about UO feels like it ties together really nicely, there weren't any loose ends or glaring ???s I had about anything regarding either the main storyline, the lore and worldbuilding, or even the side-stories and character arcs for the playable characters who weren't part of the main cast. (Although I do definitely want to review some of the exposition stuff from the endgame, bc hot damn that was interesting and tied into the story well, but it was a lot, and I'm still not over the nuclear unicorn).

(Okay there were some questions I had but they're uh, useless questions like, "Do angels have hollow bones and larger lungs to be able to fly so high?" or "How the fresh hell does bestral anatomy work?" or "Why are there human NPCs who are very open about wanting to hook up w/ the elves, but none who want to hook up with the bestrals or angels? bc I KNOW there would be humans who would want to" and not like, questions relevant to the main narrative).

Even when things were more hinted at then outright stated (i.e. Lex being in everyone's business bc he shows up as a guest in so many random RCs that are not his own), it felt organic in a "yeah well, they're all part of the same army so makes sense they'd show up in each other's RCs even if they're not directly involved" way. Even the late-game recruits who have the fewest RCs feel well-written and fleshed out.

And honestly, what a cast of characters. Usually w/ larger character casts I end up kinda indifferent towards like, 25-50% of the characters, but the UO cast gets the writing right in just such a way that I surprised myself by enjoying basically every single playable character in some way or another, and all the non-playable ones as well (the villains, despite starting off seeming generic, ended up being really cool from a narrative perspective, and I love that Baltro is the actual final boss bc like, he should be! fucked up scientist-mages doing unethical experiments are untapped potential for final bosses).

Loved the game so much, will be thinking about it for a long while yet I'm sure.

Okay, so the most common would probably be the "human" looking ones with cool features, aka angels like devas and solars. In a world of dnd, i feel like they'd be the most socially acceptable ones.

The most common but considered problematic to admit it in public would be the same but with fiends like cambions or succubus/incubus demons. Some small sub-group likes the less humaniod fiends, but people never count them.

Also I had a tiger plushie as a child that was twice my size, I would always bring it with me and sleep besides it. If kid me ever saw a rakasha in the streets, I would've ran up to them and hugged their leg.

I think all animal based races would be loved by humans but maybe in a condcending way. Look at ancient fables and furries, humans always had a thing for humaniod animals.

They'd make bank at children birthday parties tho if they ever looked over the human condescension. I know I would've screamed my parents' ears off to invite a rakasha to my birthday party if I had known this was a possibility.

There is also a group of non-playable characters that humans would fawn and obsess over but in a platonic way? Like just adore their beauty. Examples are pixies, unicorns, pegsuses, satyr, will-o-wisp, androsphinx and gynosphinx, faerie dragons, and dryads.

You'd definitely see a post or two about these races trending on social media every other week. Like twitter's "white boy of the month," except it's the blandest pixie you've ever seen with an aftershave shadow and in boxers, still the humans are obsessing over them.

Peguses and unicorns would have like ultra hardcore horsegirls fans.

Now, me personally? I would make it my life mission to meet a centaur. You know why, we all know why. I'm willing to risk it all. I'd suck up to an elf who would introduce me to the centaur tribe their city trades with and then my plan will be set into motion.

And I am doing humanity a favour! We will finally find out what a half centaur looks like.

Mimicks would be a niche interest with cult followings for some, doppelgangers and changelings too.

I think kobolds would end up being loved by humans more than actual dragons, which would piss off the said dragons when a kobold wins a scales beauty contest.

I think no matter the charisma of a race is, humans will sadly only judge them based on their looks. As a society we tend to be vain, even with pets. We only keep the cute or cool looking ones.

People who keep rats or mice still get hate comments under pictures of their pets. A lot of exotic pets we keep will kill us if given the chance, but we still keep them because of how cool they look.

But I think there will be humans who will see beyond looks, I mean, look at you. You have clear love for the gith race even when most of dnd players don't care about them or just see them as ugly. You saw beyond the exterior and found something beautiful, even then you still considered the exterior as beautiful.

For me, I actually hate pointy ears. I don't think i will ever be able to look at an elf irl without feeling nauseous. They're pretty, but god, the pointy ears really make me feel so off. And so many races have them too. Still I keep writing about them because they are a part of them that should be celebrated despite my personal opinions.

For gith, they feel different because they're not human skin coloured, you know? Like the ears don't feel off. But with elves, i can see the flesh and the blood veins, and oh my god, get away from me.

A. I’m pretty sure I’ve already mentioned this in other posts but I’m not 100% sure if I have it on my profile bit so I’m gonna say it again just for the hell of it. I’m a gay man (with the heart of a child deep down) that was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome over 20 years ago (people will say that it’s not a diagnosis anymore but as someone who was told I have it…IT’S STILL A THING SO STFU PLEASE) and I’ve been to HELL AND BACK cause I was one of the first people with Asperger to go through my local school district. But I made it through and I’m a better person for it and while there are some days when I wish I was “NORMAL”/Neurotypical…they don’t last long and I’m proud to have this Autism Spectrum Disorder.

B. Regardless of if you’ve read my smuttier fanfics or not it should be PRETTY OBVIOUS that I have a certain thing I like in a fictional character…STUPID SEXY OUTFITS THAT LEAVE NOTHING TO THE IMAGINATION! Here are a few examples just for the hell of it:

C. Like most people, I have a bucket list and there are things on it. However, there is really only one item on there that I feel I HAVE to do before I bite the dust: take the time to travel around the world (not in 80 days of course, than I would have no time to really explore). There are MULTIPLE reasons for this desire existing, not just video games like Assassin’s Creed (Origins is particular makes me want to visit Egypt EVERY FUCKING TIME I PLAY IT), Forza Horizon (Mexico and Australia are on my list of places to go), and Ghost of Tsushima helping (I’ve been wanting to visit Japan WELL before that came out in 2020 due to anime and tokusatsu), but also due to shows like The Grand Tour (which also involves cool cars which I like so that’s a plus), Survivor (GOD I NEED TO VIISY FIJI SOME TIME) and basically anything and everything Josh Gates has hosted…mainly this guy due to his ability to blend cool moments with insanity…such as when he discovered a unicorn in the mountain of Peru (here’s the clip for proof: https://youtu.be/-N19_t4Y5IU). If I ever do this, I would have to take my time and explore at my own pace not just because that would be easier IMO, but it would also increase my chances of having something like what’s happened to Josh and his film crew many times now. I saw that anon ask about how "kinning" became a thing bc our community got ripped apart, so i wanted to give some more history on otherkin.

Back in the 70's, there was a group of people who identified as elves from lotr. They were called the elf queens daughters and considered everyone who wasn't an elf "other kind". Flash forward to the 90's. On alt.horror.werewolves the 'were' community starts forming, containing not just people who identified as wolves (werewolves) but a plethora of other animals (such as weretigers, werebears, weredholes, etc). Anyone identifying as a terrestrial animal was welcome into the therian community, and they had now come up with a name, therianthropy. On other forums similar things were happening in parallel, draconians (dragons) found each other, unicorns found each other. For people identifying as anything non human, the otherkind community was there. After a bit the d fell off and it became otherkin. These four communities found each other and started mixing a bit, existing under the 'alterhuman' umbrella. I don't know when (im a therian so i stayed mainly in those places) but at some point people identifying as fictional people (fiction kin) and as plants (phylanthropes i think) also found their way to the community. They were probably there from the beginning too.

Alterhumans turned out to quite frequently already be existing in places that were not the mainstream, such as fandom. Many are neurodivergent/queer/mentally ill/whathaveyou. Already on the fringes, and quite frequently only out on the internet. So when fandom went mainstream (around game of thrones i think, but it had probably been an ongoing change for a while) suddenly there was a lot of new folks adjacent to our spaces. At first they mainly just made any and all harassment more frequent (i believe anti-otherkin trolls where the ones to coin 'kinning' but i could be wrong about that) but soon enough they had spread our terms (twisted out of shape) to the newcomers in fandom. Suddenly being kin no longer meant that you on the deepest level felt that you were this thing (in all ways except physical, to quote one of our 'celebrities'). Suddenly, it just meant that you liked a character. Suddenly it was a thing only teens do. Suddenly, our community all but disappeared. Because now we no longer had our language, and we couldn't find each other. You just found people who would harass and bully you if you "seriously think you're a squirrel". We are almost as separated from each other as we were before the internet allowed us to find one another.

This probably got kinda long but i feel like people need to know what happened to us and our community. Now, there are forums and such out there. There are still a few places left. But on the grand scale of things the loss of our language has caused us to be dispersed.

I do wanna share a cool story about finding others irl tho. I am not out and i never will be. At uni i was having lunch with some friends, and one person from the year under. I cant remember what we were talking about but suddenly he pointed to my shirt (that had wolves on it) and said something along the lines of "we're both wolves/animals". He then tapped his nose and said "i know my own kind". I will never forget that, haha. I have no clue how he knew bc i think im pretty good at hiding it. But i knew he was, bc his Facebook profile didn't lead to much doubt. It never mentioned our terms/words, but it might just as well have.

Sorry if this got long. I hope i have spread some information on where "kinning" came from, aka trolls that destroyed a more than three decade old community.

I haven't even watched the new MLP movie, I don't even think I can, it makes me so depressed. All my favorite ponies are dead. I didn't even finish the last season of G4 because the show kind of turned to garbage. But I saw how it ended, and I hated seeing them all old. It's sad, I just wanted it to be open ended with it implied they continue to go on lots of adventures. But it ended with them old, Rarity was already greying, Pinkie had a canon kid, Spike turned into a hideous abomination, and Twilight was gonna outlive all her friends. I hate it. MLP was a comfy show and it made me happy, but it ended up just being depressing.

And it's not just the Mane 6 that are long dead, it's all the hundreds of background ponies that are dead!

Derpy Hooves my beloved, she means so much to me, I love her so much. But she's dead and gone. All the background six, everyone!!! THEY'RE ALL DEAD!! So many ponies DEAD!!

And they're replaced with this.

They are not aesthetic.

I just, really don't care for these designs. They all have the same eyes, and almost human looking faces. It's kind of uncanny valley. I don't like the hair either, it's so uninspired. There are so many unique hair designs on the g4 ponies. I mean besides color, cutie mark and slight eye variations that was the main way to show characterization. You could show what kind of personality they had with the design of the hair.

With Twilight, you got a very clean straight cut, orderly, it gives you the impression she a nerdy bookish type just by looking at her.

Pinky Pie, curly, bubbly bouncy curls, shows she's a very fun and exciting pony.

Rarity, elegant, styled and fabulous. You can tell she cares about her looks and is the stylish one.

Fluttershy, long and flowing, covering her face a bit. Gives her a delicate appearance and makes her seem shy.

Rainbow Dash, messy unstyled rainbow hair, makes her seem wild and adventurous.

Applejack, it's tied back and she's wearing a hat, obviously she works a lot, and spends a lot of time outside.

The color of them also relates to their personality, purple is mysterious, elegant and magical, blue and rainbow is cool and exciting, pink is fun and bubbly, orange is warm and strong, yellow and pink is soft and comforting. The colors and hair give off strong characters tells just by looking at them.

I could go on, about so many other ponies too.

But with these new ponies, I really can't infer much about them.

The unicorn has long, wavy, princess like hair, her color scheme also gives me princess vibes, she just looks like a bit of a quirky princess.

The orange one, has her hair tied back and braided, she looks kind of adventurous I guess, sort of nerdy, idk, I'm just not getting much from her.

The purple pegasus kind of gives me Rarity vibes. Sort of. I don't know. She looks very rich, she's got the gold hair piece and gold hooves going on

The other pegasus just looks like toothpaste, she just looks like someone took a tube a toothpaste and squeezed a dab of it out on her head, I hate it. That color pink with that color streak?? What were they thinking, it does not clash well together. But she just looks like the Rainbow Dash type one, or just a butch lesbian pegasus, idk, I just really don't like her design.

The you have the male earth pony. He just looks like, the dude, the guy, the bro, I really can't tell much of his personality just by looking at him, there's not much to go on.

I don't like them, I really don't. In g4 there are so many well designed ponies. Most of the background ponies have great designs. But for this, all of the main characters look so generic. I wish it was better, I really do. Maybe it's because of the 3d, I really don't care for it, they look like weird pony human hybrids, it makes me uncomfortable. The eyebrows kind of help make them look a little too human like in the face. They're just one smaller nose away from looking like Elsa.

I just miss the mane 6 so much, I wish the show hadn't ended the way it did and I wish this new generation took place in a different dimension or something. Everything the mane 6 did was all for nothing, Twilight's legacy completely gone. All my favorite ponies: dead.

My heart is broken. I know it's all fictional but still, those ponies meant a lot to me.

HI so… per my last post today i did nothing but play video game ♥️. i havent done a wobbledogs post in a couple weeks in bc i got an ear infection and then my wifi adapter broke lol but here are some dogs i have loved recently... (im leaving a lot out bc.. there have been SO many since my last post. but these are like my favorite favorites over the last couple weeks)

this is vasthy! idk why i love them so much i just think she looks rly cool. a lot of the dogs she’s related to look kinda similar but.. idk she specifically just rly grew on me :D

this is PIGLET and they are just a happy little guy!! i wasnt expecting to love him so much but their pinkiness just makes me so happy and i love his little eye shape (it’s charlotte’s! in fact i may be wrong but he might be descended from her now that i think abt it? which would be funny bc of charlottes web lol charlotte and then a pig….) and also he was always just super friendly w the other dogs lol. i just loved having him around. an all around good guy

this is BEAK!!! i dont have many good pictures of her and u cant really tell from this one but she is my first dog who got honest to goodness horns out of nowhere…. and she has a UNICORN HORN at that! ive tried to keep horns on her offspring but i havent been successful yet and its rly frustrating lol but i will work on it

this is dumbo (named for those GIGANTIC wings) and he is the wobbledog equivalent of the get stickbugged meme lol. he had a difficult life bc as he got older he had trouble walking around bc his body got so long and his wings were so huge and his legs couldnt support him. so he would just do a lot of flips to move around and get stressed out all the time and i caught him in some funny poses (like the one pictured) but.. overall he did not have a good time. but i like him a lot and i wish i had done more to make sure he wasn’t in distress all the time

this is FLOCKA my absolute beloved!!!! (i FULLY meant to name him floppa after the meme bc of his coloring like the big cat… but i got it mixed up w flocka and by the time i realized my error "flocka” had already grown on me 💀💀💀) he only had 1 leg and he had a rude personality so instead of getting stressed he would get really angry.. and he absolutely STOLE my heart bc i started watching him rly closely and learning what would stress him out and removing the stressors before he could react to them badly! i was rly excited and proud of kinda coming up w a language to interact w each other... like he couldnt grab food a lot of the time so i would move it to this specific spot against his forehead that he would always get it from and things like that. idk i just love when dogs have like a unique personality or way of doing things that stands out and then i feel like i bond w them lol (throwback to charlotte 🥴) but thats flocka!

and THISSSSS is wammawink (solid green body, lighter red face... yes named after the centaurworld character 🥴) and her daughter wiggly (yellow hearts on green body, darker red / pink face)!!!!! wiggly is my first ever worm dog and bc of her i have completed every single achievement in the game except for one wing angel and i am SAURRR excited. wammawink only has two front legs (i kinda cheated by finding a dog code on the discord that i figured would give me a good chance of having offspring with 2 front legs 😭 but i nabbed her as soonas i saw her) and i had a TON of dogs w only two back legs to try to pair her with... it was actually soppy from one of my earlier posts who was the other parent to wiggly so that was rly cool since i loved them so much! i also am very amused / pleased that wiggly looks SO much like bambi.. like the same coloring and everything except bambi’s face is brown, same face shape and eye shape and pattern, etc.... so true of her <3

AND FINALLY!!!! LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!!! IS MY BABY BOY CUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am OBSESSED with his nose and as soon as i saw it i knew i couldnt let him go. look at his little paws i am SICK!!!!!! look at his EARS! HIS EYES! HIS SNOUT!!! WAUGHGHGHGGHH!!!! BABY BOY BABY!!!!!!! the pictures dont convey it (also all of these are from before he was an adult bc i was so focused on getting a worm dog when he grew up lol.. as an adult his ears and nose turned into a light purple and im still not used to it) but cub is absolutely fucking LARGE. he is maybe my biggest dog ive ever had. he was already a pretty big puppy and he maybe tripled in size as he grew up to the point where he can’t really sit inside the den now without having to bend his head. also this was more exaggerated when he was a puppy / juvenile but when he flies his wings kinda.. jerk him backwards and all over the place and splay out his hind legs? and i am SO obsessed w it its the cutest thing ever in the whole world. i love himmmmm 💓💗💝❣️💖��💗💓💞💝💖❣️💓💓💞💗💖💝❣️💓 (also he literally picked up the fucking VACUUM and was flying with it in the first pic. icon behavior)

Babysitting wasn’t something you planned to do when summer started, but when you saw that lonely dollar that you had in your pocket you decided to change that. And what better way, than to take care of the rich kids when their parents are too focused on their golf sessions?

It didn’t took you long to find a parent like that, since in Outer Banks, 90% of the parents had the stupid necessity to go golfing every day, leaving their poor kids on the house. Well, “poor” is a matter of speech, because if you had a pool the side of your entire house and free WiFi to play any game that ever existed, you wouldn’t complain.

“The food is in the refrigerator. Maybe start making it at 12 pm, she likes to eat early.” Mrs. Johnson was saying while she had her big bag on her shoulders, ready to leave the house. “Lily!” She yelled so loudly that you squint your eyes for the sudden scream. “Oh, and before I forget, in a couple of hours the boy that’s going to cut the grass is going to show up. But you don’t have to do anything, he already knows his way around the front yard.” You nodded with a little smile.

“Great!”

“Lily! Get down here, now!” She yelled so firmly that you could tell the fire on her eyes, making you feel a little bit intimidated by the rich house wife. As soon as she went back to you, a smile appeared on her face again changing her expression completely in a matter of one second, making you feel a little bit scared. “Do you have any more questions for the day?”

“No! I’m fine, we’ll be fine.”

“Y/n!” You heard the little girl calling your name while she was running to welcome you with a hug.

“Lily! Come here you little angel!” You picked her up so she could wrap her arms around your shoulders.

“Lily, behave.” Mrs. Johnson said and Lily nodded.

“Yes, mommy, like always.”

“No cookies until lunch is over, got it?”

Lily nodded again, this time more quicker. “Got it.”

Not trusting her daughter, Mrs. Johnson turned to you. “Got it?”

“Yeah, don’t worry about it.” Mrs. Johnson gave Lily a kiss on the forehead before walking towards the door. “See you later Mrs. Johnson!” You waved until you saw her outside and she was no longer in your sight.

“Do you want to see my barbie?” Lily said once her feet touched the ground.

“Sure!”

“Cool! Let me look for it.” She grabbed your hand to walk you to her room. “I did a makeover that took me the whole week. Because when I got her she was so ugly, the change was necessary.” She was saying like a professional fashion icon. Her sass was one of your favorite things about her. “That’s what my mom says all the time. If you don’t like something, you change it so it fits you.” After a walk that seemed to took forever since the house was bigger than the whole frontyard itself, you arrived at her room. While Lily was looking for her barbie to show you, you went over her room like it was the first time your eyes were seeing it. The wall colors looked like an unicorn had throw up in them and then a fairy had her glitter thrown at it. The main color was pink, her bed, her night stand, her desk, even her TV was the color pink. You never hated that color, but her room was making you feel nauseous. It was all so colourful and an interesting thing to look at, but the thing that always caught your attention was the thousand posters of the movie ‘Frozen’. Elsa, Anna and all of those characters you couldn’t remember the names where in her wall smiling. They were so many of them that you started to feel creeped out by them. “Here she is!” Finally, Lily found her barbie as was already walking towards you with her toy in her hand waving it like she was trying to get something out of her. She handed the barbie to you with the biggest and proudest smile ever, but the moment you grabbed the toy the smile disappeared from your face for a second.

“Oh my-” the normal long hair that Barbies have isn’t longer in this one, it was short and it looked like some punk girl from the 80’s with he hairs all lift up. You didn’t even know if it was punk, she looked like she touched a wire with a fork! She had a short dress that looked like it had been on dirt, washed but then she fell on grass, making it look even more dirty and destroyed. Her skin was painted red and blue with some pink dots all over her body. She definitely didn’t had a good day. You looked at Lily and noticed the proud smile and the excitement on her eyes as you were watching the barbie, so you put your biggest fake smile on your face not wanting to break the poor girl’s heart. “She looks wonderful!”

“I know! I’m good at it!”

You quickly nodded. “Yeah!”

“Maybe I can be a fashion designer when I grow up!” Lily started clapping and grabbed the barbie from your hand while you were nodding non stop not knowing what to say.

You thanked the Gods for Lily not wanting to show you anymore of her creations, instead she wanted to watch a movie, and as soon as she said that, you already knew what she wanted to see.

“Let it gooooo! Let it goooooo!” You heard Elsa sing while Lily’s eyes were glued to the TV, her body was slowly moving while she was whispering the song. You knew she loved the movie so much she never wanted to outsing Elsa, and deep down, you were grateful for that.

“Yes, please Elsa,” you said in a whisper not wanting Lily to hear you while you were sitting down in the couch behind her “let it fucking go. Stop it.” As soon as you tilted your head backwards annoyed, a sound came from the front yard. “What was that? You asked with your eyes glued to the door, but there was no response from Lily, since her little mind was too focused on the movie. You headed to the window to cheek what it was while all the horror movies and serial killers documentaries went through your mind. With your heart beating a little faster you opened the curtains and wondered with your eyes your surroundings, but nothing was there. You were calming down until you heard your phone rang in your pocket, making you jump from the scare.

“What’s up bitch?” Your best friend, Hannah, said on the phone once you picked up.

“Hi, I’m babysitting.” You said still checking the front yard.

“Oh, got it, you have to watch your tongue.”

“Yeah, but I don’t think this kid is listening to me right now, Elsa has that covered.” You did quick look on Lily, who’s eyes were still glued to the TV.

“Ugh, I hate that movie.”

“I don’t. But the amount of times I watched it here isn’t helping on that.”

“What are you doing right now?”

“Checking if the guy- oh my god.” You stopped as soon as your eyes noticed a boy standing in the front yard. Because he was too far away you could only see clearly his blonde hair and his dark brown boots. He had a white shirt on and some light brown shorts, he was far, but the way he was moving and carrying himself was what attracted you and made your eyes stare at him twice, making sure you were seeing correctly.

“What?”

“The guy that cuts the grass for this family is...” you did a quick turn to Lily to check if she was listening, but she was still too focused on the movie. You turned back to see the boy, but before you could continue your sentence, Hannah spoke before you.

“Hot?”

“Oh, more than that.”

“Who is it?” Hannah said intrigued.

“Can’t see, he’s too far.”

“What is he doing?” You saw how his arms tensed when he grabbed some machine you never saw before. They were so strong that you suddenly got the need to walk towards him touch them, but that would be extremely weird.

“I don’t know, turning the machine I guess.” You tried to focus more on his face and try to figure out if you knew him, but he was too far for your poor sight.

“Go talk to him.”

“What? No!”

“Why not? He’s hot, you’re hot. Perfect match.”

“He is definitely a...” Again, you turned around making sure Lily wasn’t hearing. Even if she wasn’t, you choose your next words carefully. “major babe.”

“Major babe?” Hannah let out a tiny laugh. “What are? 30?”

“The kid is still here!” You whispered loudly.

“What is a major babe?” Fuck.

You turned around to see Lily standing there with her Barbie between her hands. The movie was still playing but it looked like your conversation gained her attention even more.

“What? Oh, nothing.” You shook your head with your phone still against your ear. “Don’t worry about it baby. Keep watching Elsa.”

“I want to know what that means.” Lily said with her firm tone, letting you know she wasn’t going to let it go.

“I think you’re in trouble.” Hannah said on the other side, and you knew she was trying to not laugh at your current situation.

“Bye!” You ended the call before leaving your phone in your pocker to kneeled down and be closer to Lily’s face. “A major babe is someone who is... cute.” You said trying to choose the perfect words. Explaining something like this to a six year old isn’t something that you would ever choose to do.

You thought the conversation was over when Lily let out a giant smile and nodded convinced. But then, she opened her mouth: “So you think the guy who cuts the grass is pretty?”

“You do! Y/n and JJ sitting in a tree-” She started singing but you stopped hearing once you heard the name ‘JJ’.

“Wait, JJ? The guy’s name is JJ?” You said confused, hoping it wasn’t who you thought it was.

“Yeah! He comes every week since last year!”

“JJ? JJ Maybank?” You were praying Lily was going to shake her head and say it was another JJ, but deep down you knew there wasn’t any other guy with that name.

“Yeah!” Lily said happily, unaware of your thoughts and your not so happy face.

“Oh my god.” You said when it finally hit you. “Sweetie, I think Anna is dying.” You said gently turning Lily towards the TV.

“Oh no!” She went back to the movie. You turned to the window and moved the curtain while a sigh came out of your mouth.

JJ Maybank. The guy that was known for being the life of the party, getting into trouble or starting a fight. He would almost every time leave the party with some girl around his arm. You weren’t going to lie, you wished sometimes you were that girl. Having a crush on a boy that doesn’t know you exists isn’t... the best. You met JJ at school when you were a kid and that’s when it all started, when he defended you from some Kook kid that was annoying you at lunch. The crush didn’t grew more, the opposite, it went down passing the years. But that didn’t stop you from looking at him when he showed up at the party you were at or feeling nervous when he was around. You weren’t the type to do so, but there was something about him that made you feel as awkward as you could ever be.

The fact that he was in the same house as you made you feel something inside your stomach, making you move uncomfortably in your sit while Lily was watching, for the second time, Frozen. You don’t have to talk to him, there’s nothing to worry about. You were thinking over and over again trying to calm yourself down. Or maybe this is your opportunity to talk to him. You thought in Hannah’s voice, since she knew about your crush she would often say that you should start a conversation with him, or at least introduce yourself.

You didn’t know if he knew who you were. You only talked once, back when you were kids and you thanked him for defending you. That was it. You remembered it, but you were sure he didn’t.

C’mon, what are you waiting for? Go offer him some water! Hannah’s voice was saying in your head like she was next to you giving you the courage you needed to do so. And somehow, it worked. After making sure Lily was safe while watching the movie, you walked towards the kitchen and poured water on a cup to bring outside.

As soon as your hand touched the door to open it, you felt the heat of the sun touching your skin and you heart beating faster, already knowing your next moves.

You saw him getting ready to cut the grass with the same machine you saw before. His skin and hair were glowing under the sun making your heart beat faster than before and him looking more beautiful than he already was.

“Hey!” You said loudly once you were a couple of steps away from him.

JJ immediately turned to you making your heart drop to your stomach. He furrowed his eyebrows confused while trying to figure out who you were. “Hi? Are you the babysitter?” He pointed at you and you nodded with a smile.

“Yeah. Y/n.”

“JJ.” He let out a tiny smile. Fuuuuuuck.

Silence came between you two while your brain was trying to remember what you came outside. “Oh! I bought you some water, it’s pretty hot out here.” You handed him the cup which he took gratefully.

“Thanks.”

“Yeah, I don’t want you passing out. I don’t want to deal with that.” You said and immediately regretted it, why would you say that? That makes you sound like a terrible babysitter!

But as soon as he let out a genuine laugh, your mind gave you a break.

“Sure. So, since when did you started working with this family?” He said before giving a sip to the water.

“Last week.”

“I haven’t seen you around much. You live in the Cut, right?”

You nodded. “Yeah, I do. My dad owns the store across the beach.”

JJ didn’t respond immediately. He stood there watching your eyes carefully, so much, that your heart started beating faster once again. “Really? He has some good boards, dude.”

“Thanks. He’s really proud of them.”

“Make sure to tell him. Thank you for the water.” He gave you the now empty cup and you shook your head with a little smile.

“Don’t worry about it. If you need anything just tell me.”

JJ let out a tiny laugh. “You take care better of me than Mrs. Johnson.”

You smiled back while on the inside you were freaking out. “It’s no-” you were saying but the water hitting your body cut you off.

“What the fuck?” JJ said as soon as both of you noticed the water feeling like rain against your body. You looked up to see if it was, but the sky was as as clear as you last saw it.

“Where is that water coming from?!”

“It’s the automatic water for the grass!” JJ said looking down and pointing at the tiny machine going off behind you. You turned around and looked at it confused, trying to not get hit in the face by putting your hands in front of your face.

“But it never turns on during the day! Do you know how to turn it off?!” You asked at JJ with the hope that he did, and luckily, he nodded turning around and leading to some part of the front yard you’ve never been before. When you arrived to where he was you noticed he was kneeled down and with a quicker twist of his hand, the water was off. “What the hell was that?” You said turning to where the water was coming from.

“I don’t know.” JJ said and looked down to his body all wet. You turned to him and did the same, but not to your own body, to his. The way his shirt was glued to his torso would mark his abs and let you nothing to the imagination. You immediately looked down once you realize you were staring, you felt so embarrassed like you weren’t supposed to see what you just did. “Maybe this will help with the sun and I won’t pass out.” He said with a smile once he looked up at you and you smiled, thankful he didn’t notice you staring at him and his fit body.

“You’re dripping.” You said. “You have to dry yourself otherwise you won’t be able to work with those heavy clothes. C’mon.” You pointed at the house and started walking, but his voice cut you off.

“I’m not sure I’m aloud to go in.”

“Do you want to get your work done or not? Because I don’t think you’ll be able to.” You did a quick look to the drops of water goind down. “It’s your decision, but I think Mrs. Johnson won’t be happy if she comes back and her grass isn’t done. Do whatever you want.” You said knowing that it was going to convince him to go with you. You did this tactic with Lily sometimes, making it their choice and having the control over the situation. Like you suspected, as soon as you made a couple of steps away from JJ, you heard his feet moving and getting closer to yours. Seconds later, he was already next to you.

“Maybe we should go to the bathroom, I don’t want to make a mess.” You said the moment you stepped inside the house. Lily, who was now sitting down on the couch, looked at you two with an exaggerated surprised face and walked to where you two where.

“Oh! What happened?”

“The water of your front yard went kinda crazy.” You said grabbing your sticky shirt and trying to get it away from your skin.

“Really?” Lily asked and then turned to JJ, who nodded.

“Lily I want you to stay here watching the movie, ok? We need to get dry.” You said leading the way to the bathroom. “Don’t open the door to anyone, did you hear me?”

“Yes!” Lily said while quickly nodding and then leaving to continue watching her movie. “Stupid Hans!” She yelled at the TV.

“She really likes that movie doesn’t she?” JJ said with a smile once he turned around to follow you.

“Yeah,” you nodded. “we watched it three times today.”

“Ouch.” You let out a laugh before entering the bathroom and quickly grabbing the towel and turning around to face JJ.

“Here, have the towe-” You were saying but once your eyes noticed JJ’s naked torso, your tongue went completely numb. “Oh.”

“Is everything ok?” He asked noticing your shook face, but then a little grin escaped his lips while he grabbed the towel from your hand.

“Yeah. Yeah! Everything’s fine.” You said quickly shaking your head a little bit, trying so hard to not let your now red cheeks make you feel embarrassed.

“Aren’t you gonna change?”

“I’ll wait for you to be over and then I’ll do it. Don’t worry about it.”

He nodded and the continued drying his body. “I still don’t know what happened with that.”

“Maybe the clock failed?”

He shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe. Anyway, thank you.” He handed you the towel. “I have to continue with work.”

“Yeah!” You quickly nodded. “You go.” You watched how he turned around letting you have a perfect veiw of his back, which made you feel like when you saw his torso naked without any warning. You looked away once he left the bathroom and slapped your forehead with the palm of your hand, already overthinking everything you just did.

As soon as you were finished you walked towards the living room to check on Lily who was now finishing the movie just one more time. You grabbed your phone from your pocket to see the time and realized it was lunch time, so trying to focus every thought of Lily, you called her so she would follow you into the kitchen. You grabbed everything that was on the refrigerator like Mrs. Johnson has told you while your mind was making the recipe for Lily’s meal. You were trying so hard to keep your mind focus and not thing of the cute guy that was still working on the front yard, a couple of steps away from you.

“Did you really fell for Hans because I didn’t. It was pretty obvious.” Lily said while watching you prepare her lunch.

“You think? I didn’t see it coming.”

“I didn’t like Hans since the beginning.” Lily nodded proudly of herself.

“You didn’t? I thought he was really cute and charming, maybe that what’s wrong with princes.” As soon as you said that, a thought came into your head. You stayed still like everything in your life just made sense and you understood it in that exact moment. “And maybe that’s why I like the boys I like.” You continued, talking more to your lard than to Lily. “They’re charming and sweet, but then they forget about your face even if you’re wearing a tiny mask, or they kiss you without even consenting it.” You were saying while your head was inside the refrigerator, looking for the mayonnaise to complete Lily’s lunch. “Or they even think because they have money we will automatically fall for them!” The moment that you said that you realized that you were babbling all to yourself about boys while Lily was listening to you, so you turned around shaking all your thoughts away. “Anyway-” you were about to change the subject but when you opened the water from the kitchen sink it all exploded and went all over your face and clothes. “WHAT THE HELL?” You yelled putting your hand in front of your face to prevent the water hitting your eyes.

“I’ll call JJ!” Lily said once she noticed the water wasn’t stopping.

“What- no! I got this!” You tried to stop her but it was too late, she was already out of your sight. “What’s the fucking problem with water today?” You asked trying to turn the water off, but no matter what you did with the switch, it wasn’t stopping.

“What happened?!” You heard JJ asking once he arrived next to you.

“I turned it on and it went crazy!” You turned around to see the water all over the floor. JJ kneeled down and opened the doors down the sink and just like before, stopped the water. You let your hands rest beside your body and let out an annoyed sigh at the feeling of sticky and wet clothes against your skin.

“Just like before?” JJ asked getting up to lock eyes with you.

You nodded. “Yeah. I think the thingy is broken.” You pointed at the sink looking at it confused but when you heard JJ let out a tiny laugh, you turned to him. “What?”

“The thingy?”

“Yeah, where the water comes out.”

JJ nodded still with a funny smile on his face. “Do you know how to fix it?”

“Do you?”

“Dad has tools!” Lily yelled, appearing on the conversation for the first time. You turned to her and she had a big smile on her face while her fingers were playing with each other. “Maybe Y/n can show you where they are?”

“Oh, yeah,” you nodded remembering the time you helped Mr. Johnson fix something for Lily. “I think they’re next to the bathroom. C’mon.” You said looking at JJ but then you turned to Lily. “While we repair that finish your lunch.”

She quickly nodded before you left her behind. “Ok!”

Even if you had JJ behind you, you felt his eyes on you as you were walking. Maybe they weren’t on you, but somehow, your mind had convince you they were making you feel uncomfortable under them. You were hearing his steps behind you, they were so close you could feel the air he was pushing with his arms while walking. The hallway was darker as usual since having JJ in your mind you forgot to turn on the light, but you knew the house like the palm of your hand.

“I think this is the room- yes it is!” You said entering the room next to the bathroom. “Tools tools tools...”

“Here.” JJ said behind you while grabbing a big dark brown box.

“Oh, ok. Better get that thing fixed so you can get back to work.” JJ nodded so you walked to the now closed door. You looked at it confused since you didn’t remember closing it. “What? Did you close the door?”

“No I didn’t.” JJ said.

“Then why the hell is it closed?” You asked before grabbing the handle, but it wasn’t opening. “And locked?!” Your heart dropped to your stomach the moment you realized you were locked and Lily was outside alone. “Oh my god, Lily? Can you open the door please? Lily?!”

Your heart started to beat faster but then, luckily, she spoke from the other side. “Are you guys locked?”

“Yeah! Can you open it from the outside?”

“I don’t know!”

“Can you check sweetie?”

“She’s a six year old? What can she do?” JJ asked behind you not faced by the situation at all.

“Well? Do you have any ideas genius? Lily is out there on her own!”

JJ lifted the box of the tools and let out a grin. “We have tools?”

“You can’t use them! Do you want to break the door?!”

“Do you want to get stuck in here until Mrs. Johnson comes back? Because I don’t think she’ll be happy to know that you left the little girl outside all by herself.” You let out a tiny sigh when JJ used the same tactic you used on him moments ago. You hated when they were used against you.

“Lily, are you still there?” You asked turning to face the door.

“Yeah. Are you two fighting in there?” She asked softly.

“No, sweetie, why would you think that?”

“I don’t know...”

“Do you want me to break the door then?” JJ asked lifting his eyebrow.

“Maybe you can do something without breaking it?”

“I’ll try. But I’m not a magician.” He said getting closer to the door to grab the handle. You noticed he put a lot of strength in it, but you didn’t understand what he was doing. “I think I got it, but I need your help.”

“What do you want me to do?” You walked to stand next to him.

“Grab the handle and pull it really hard when I say so.” You did as he told you and then looked at him, waiting for his words. “Ready?” You nodded. “Go!”

You pulled the handle with all your strength just like JJ told you while JJ was pushing the door to open, and before you could think of something else the door opened. You and JJ had so much strength into it, that the sudden movement of the door opening, made you two lose balance. JJ tried to grab your waist and prevent you from falling, but it didn’t work since your body was already half way to the floor, it only managed to turn you around by twisting you from your waist and not fall on your face. Once your back hit the floor, you felt a body algo hitting yours.

You opened your eyes once the pain in your back passed enough for you to move, to see some blue eyes staring at you. JJ’s face was so close to yours that you were feeling his heavy breathing against your skin. You felt like his eyes were casting a spell on you since you felt like you couldn’t move, and not because you had his body on top of yours. Even if would be normal for you to feel crushed under a body, you weren’t feeling his. You were so lost in his eyes that you forgot everything around you, it was just him and his breathing gently hitting your face.

“Guys-” Lily said softly next to you. That made you return to the moment and realize in the position you two were. He quickly got up and walked back nervously, like he didn’t know what just happened either.

“Lily! Are you alright?” You walked towards her and hugged her body.

“Yeah, I’m good.” She broke the hug to look at JJ, who was still standing in the corner nervously. “You two looked like Anna and Kristoff there.”

“What’s that?” You asked quickly, feeling your cheeks getting hot.

“Yeah, when they looked at each other. With so much looooove.” Lily said and then let out a silly laugh. You wanted the floor to eat you and throw you whatever it wanted, as long as it wasn’t there. Silence surrounded the hallway for a couple of seconds while you were trying to think of something to change the subject and pretend that what just happened, didn’t. But JJ spoke before you.

“Maybe I should get back to work.” He said and you nodded.

“Maybe you should.” The second you said that, he quickly walked passed your body to leave you and Lily behind. You watched his back and noticed he was looking down, maybe you weren’t the only one who got embarrassed. But what did happen?

The moment that you two locked eyes with each other you felt like there was nothing else around you, like you were melting under his eyes. You never felt something like that, and you never wanted to do it again. So lost in your thoughts that you didn’t realize Lily has taken you to the living room to play with some of her new toys. You were hearing her voice talk but non of her words were entering your body. You tried to keep your eyes on the toys but the second that you looked up, your eyes met with his. He quickly looked down and walked away, leaving your sight from the window. You sighed, disappointed.

It wasn’t that you wanted to stare at him... well, maybe it was. But you didn’t want to distract yourself from your work and taking care of Lily, the girl that had to be your number one throught until you left the house. So erasing your unwanted thoughts, you focused your mind into Lily’s game, who seemed to be super invested in.

“Barbie and Ken are going to get married tomorrow, I already planned everything.” Lily was saying the second your mind started to pick up her words. “I’m so excited!”

“I’m pretty sure Barbie and Ken are as well!” You said with a smile, playing along with her.

After a couple of minutes playing with Lily you were glad JJ wasn’t consuming your brain, playing with Lily did helped you get your thoughts straight and focus on what was important. It all seemed to be going back to normal, you weren’t thinking of what happened earlier, Lily and her funny game with her Barbies were definitely making you laugh, and the clock was getting closer to the end of the day, so you were definitely going back to your normal self, until you heard some steps getting inside the house.

“Hey, can I have another glass of water?” JJ asked standing next to the door. You looked up and him and slowly nodded, not opening your mouth. Without giving the opportunity to anything else to happen, you got up from where you were and walked to the kitchen. You heard the door closing and you sighed, glad that JJ didn’t followed you to the kitchen. You didn’t want to talk to him, you knew you were going to be your awkward self and probably embarrass yourself like you usually do, so better to avoid him and forget he even excited... if that’s even possible. You looked at the glass of water that you had now on your hand and stared at it for a couple of seconds. You didn’t want to go out and give it to him, so a better idea came into your head.

“Hey, sweetie,” you called Lily and seconds later she was in front of you with an innocent smile on her face. “can you take this to JJ?” She nodded and grabbed the glass of water before leaving the kitchen behind.

While waiting for her to come back, you closed your eyes when the last time you had JJ in front of you came back to your mind. Well, on top of you is the better choice for words. Your heart dropped to your stomach and the memory slowly came back to your eyes and the feeling of his breathing against your face. Not wanting to have that on your mind, you slapped yourself on the forehead with the palm of your hand. But that didn’t work at all, and what you saw when you opened your eyes didn’t help either.

“Hi.” He said while standing next to the kitchen entrance.

“Hi.” You said, surprised he was inside the house.

“My water?” He asked looking to your hand and noticing they weren’t holding anything.

You furrowed your eyebrows confused, trying to not think you telling Lily about JJ’s water was all your mind playing tricks on you. “I just sent Lily with a glass of water for you.”

“She said that you had it here.”

“What? Lily?” You called her but there was no response. “Lily!” You walked to the living room but she wasn’t there. Feeling your heart beating faster you walked outside hoping she was there. Once your eyes went over the entire front yard while your heart was slowly beating faster passing the seconds, your eyes finally landed on Lily, but that didn’t calmed you down, since she was standing right next to the pool. “What are you doing?”

“I want to take a swim!” She yelled once you started to walk towards her, followed by JJ.

“You don’t know how to swim! Your mom doesn’t let you in if she’s not here! Come back!”

“But I want to swim!”

“Lily you can’t! I’m pretty sure you will when your mom comes home.” You said but Lily didn’t respond you, instead she turned towards the pool. “Lily?” The moment she lifted her foot your heart dropped to your stomach. Your eyes followed her body falling inside the pool once she jumped and threw some water drops into the air, you saw it all like it happened in slow motion. “Lily!” You yelled like you never did before. You started running towards her ready to jump and grab her, but JJ being faster than you, with quick moves took off his boots and jumped into the pool.

Once inside, the water was making it difficult for you to fully see their movements. That was making your hands sweat and your heart to beat faster, it felt like it was going to jump out of your body. But then, you saw JJ’s head above the water, followed by Lily’s.

“WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?” You yelled once JJ left Lily’s body outside the pool. “Oh my god, you almost gave me a heart attack!” You patted her back while she was getting all the water outside from her body. You felt your heart getting heavy and slowing its speed while your breathing was letting out relief breaths.

“I’m sorry.” Lily said, once she stopped cuffing.

“Why- why would you do that Lily? You know you can’t swim!”

Lily looked up and JJ, who was breathing heavily with his body covered in water and his clothes sticking to his skin, but then she went back to looking at the floor. “I wanted- I wanted to be Anna.”

“What?” You asked confused.

“And I wanted JJ to be Kristoff.” As soon as she said those words you locked eyes with JJ, who seemed to understand the same thing as you on the same moment. Lily wanted to have a love like the characters of her favorite movie.

“Oh... Sweetie,” you kneeled down to be closer to her face. “And you thought that jumping into the pool when you can’t swim was going to make JJ your Kristoff because you wanted him to save you?”

She slowly nodded. “Yeah. And I- I also turned on the water earlier.”

“What?” You and JJ asked at the same time.

“The water for the grass- I did it.”

“Why?” JJ asked once you got up.

“And I broke the water tap. And I locked you two in the closet.” You opened your mouth surprised before looking at JJ, who was just as surprised as you.

“How?” He asked.

“Why would you do that?”

Lily shrugged her shoulders and that made JJ let out a tiny laugh while shaking his head.

“At least we know the house isn’t haunted.” He said, turning the conversation into something funny.

“You little devil.” You said, after letting the funny in the situation hit you.

“Are you gonna tell my mom?” Lily asked softly once she locked eyes with you.

“Lily, do you promise you won’t do it again?”

She quickly nodded with a smile. “I do.”

“Then this will be out little secret.”

“Thank you Y/n!” For the first time during those long hours, you felt like there was nothing else that could go wrong. You didn’t felt uncomfortable under JJ’s eyes, Lily was completely fine and JJ didn’t seem to bother that a little girl almost drowned for him... it all felt just alright. “And you calling JJ a major babe will be our little secret too!” Lily yelled and quickly added, noticing your cheeks go red and JJ letting out a grin once he locked eyes with you. “Oh, sorry.” Lily said softly.

“Shit.”

Well... it had to happen, just another thing going completely wrong.
