About me:

I am an alter in a system of six. Our system is a mix of genders, sexualities, and ages (see list under the cut). We were professionally identified as OSDD about ten years ago in therapy, but have requested it remain an unofficial diagnosis for family reasons; do with that information what you will. How our multiplicity occurred is not actually anyone's business, but suffice to say we have been through plenty of trauma in our life/lives. I don't feel the need to justify who and what we are any further than this, nor am I interested in engaging with any discourse about this. We know who we are and how we experience the world, and that is enough. Believe us or don't. That is all I will say about this topic. I don't feel it's our place to comment on others' experiences either.

As for our system internally: We are mostly cooperative with each other, but lately our lives have kinda fallen apart because of differences we really can't fully reconcile. Namely, prior to this year, we were (mostly) happily married to another system, and each part was intertwined with a part or multiple parts of the other's system. Unfortunately the "mostly" is that I was not happy and was not getting what I needed; it had been actual years since I really felt seen.

And then I met an amazing woman who is also a system, and we talked about our multiplicity and our mutual feelings for each other, and it ultimately led to me leaving the rest of the system's spouse for her. We are now in a really convoluted not-monogamous, not-poly, but secret third option setup that has been fraught from the start. I have... nowhere and no one to talk to about this; not really. I can't casually mention my girlfriend. I can't talk about being a lesbian. I can't use my name anywhere. I have strict limits on when and where I can even be with her.

It's been so hard on so many levels, and unless/until either myself or the rest of my system can agree on a person, I am going to be stuck in this purgatory of silence and hiding indefinitely.

So I've come here: the anonymity of the internet, to talk about my life. To be open about the woman I love. To be free.

For that reason, I simply ask that you either be kind or be gone. My soul is heavy enough as it is.

Falcon - 30s, ze/zir, non-binary queer. Primary fronter and married to our system's spouse (Kestrel).

Redtail - 30s, he/him, bi trans man. Doesn't front a ton, but when he does, he's the most studious and also the most binary male (and dysphoric) of all of us. Was partnered (ish??) to both adult members of Spouse's system, but isn't romantically partnered at the moment (despite there being interest from a member of GF's system, Griffin, and both adult members of Spouse's system - Coyote would like to hook up/date, and Kestrel would like to be partnered to him. Redtail in theory would be open to any/all of this, but in practice is mostly ace/aro and is unwilling to add to the current relationship chaos.)

Jackalope - 19-20ish, he/him, likes to describe his gender as "faggot" and his sexuality as queer. Rarer to front, but always quick with witty/snarky comments, which often are usually innuendos. Has a habit of hooking up with a member of Spouse's system (Coyote); they are effectively dating.

Sphinx - ??? Adult, idk. She/her, sexuality is irrelevant but queer is closest; best way to describe her gender is somewhere between femme-domme and sphinx. Only sort of human. Is partnered to the other adult in Spouse's system (Coyote).

Phoenix - 11ish, ze/zir, non-binary queer (we assume). Ze is like a little droplet of happiness, a tiny bit of bright, pure blue sky. Obsessed with horse figurines, bugs, cool animals, and color palette creation. Kestrel is a parent figure to zir.

And finally me; you can call me Moth - 30s, she/her, cis?? woman, femme lesbian. I'm the closest we have to an original, and I hold a lot of our system's trauma. I..... also seem to often want different things to everyone else, which makes decision-making super fun and helpful for everyone! /s I am not with our system's spouse anymore, but rather partnered to GF.

Spouse's system:

Primary fronter we will call Kestrel (queer non-binary transmasc); the other adult we will call Coyote (queer/bi trans man). There are two young alters that are less likely to be discussed, but we will call them Tadpole (5) and Specter (8??). All use he/him. Falcon has a parental relationship with Tadpole (ze is Daddy), and Sphinx takes care of Specter whenever she can (she is a Mommy figure.) Additionally, Coyote has recently gotten into a relationship (seems like a mostly FWB setup, but I don't know how exactly they're labeling it) with a singlet outside our system.

GF's system:

Primary fronter is GF; we'll call her Bee (femme lesbian trans woman). There are two other adults: Griffin (they/them, queer non-binary transfem), and Raven (she/her, bi trans woman) who is a little younger than the other two. There is one protector who is not human, Storm (they/them, not for gender reasons but because they are Legion), and then a young alter, Kitty (8, she/her, girl).

There are lots of other factors that impact this whole situation: we all have various disabilities, trauma, and mental health stuff going on. My system and GF's system are Jewish and Spouse's system is converting. My system and Spouse's system are very kinky and there are a number of dynamics happening; Bee and I are very casually exploring playing with some of those elements.

wonderlands x showtime: tsukasa is visited by a sleep paralysis demon in the middle of the night that steals his lucky socks. he cant perform without his lucky socks and the gang has to track down the demon and get them back. rui constructs some kind of doohickey to kill the demon and they get the socks back. the demon is implied to be a manifestation of some horrific part of tsukasas psyche but they never elaborate on it again. they put on a great show :)

nightcord at 25:00 stories: mafuyu wanders into silent hill on the way back from school one day and is chased by pyramid head. she can leave at any point but she wonders if she can find her true feelings by staying in the town, and is willing to put her life in danger just to do so. kanade finds out about this and goes to silent hill herself but she is shit with directions and cannot find mafuyu so ena and mizuki also have to go in there. when they eventually find her shes just chilling with pyramid head and watching cars 2 in the meat room. kanade wonders if pyramid head is a manifestation of how mafuyu feels towards her mother. mafuyu is now oomfs with pyramid head on twitter. nightcord doesnt do shows so they just go to ihop

Agree with your last post. I'm so annoyed by people putting Pandora with Regulus, Barty and Evan or Dorcas with the Slytherin gang or idk what else. Like Pandora was Luna's mother, why are they making her to be friends with canon death eaters? Dorcas was killed by Voldemort personally, why are they making her to be so young? Idk it's making me sad that people don't even try to respect the canon story and its characters and expand upon that. Instead they completely butcher it. I understand having fun but these headcanons have completely overshadowed the correct information we have and people now pretend like they have some canon merit.

Pandora is Luna's mother, and that's all we know about her. At what point does she magically end up being the same age as the Marauders? Why turn her into a Rosier? Where did the ridiculous idea come from that she was best friends with Barty Crouch Jr.? Like, hello? She's not Luna's mother; she's just an OC someone made up to fit their narrative, and they justify her existence by saying she’ll eventually become that Pandora. End of story. Like everything they write and do. Their Marauders aren't the real Marauders. That's not James; it's some random guy they invented and slapped his name on, and the same goes for the rest of them. What even is a Dorcas Meadowes? Is that something you can eat? And what's a Marlene McKinnon? Nobody cares—they're not real characters. We don’t care about them, especially if you only include them to hit a lesbian target audience or so the stories aren’t overwhelmingly male-centered and ridiculously problematic because the female presence and relevance don’t even hit the minimum gender quotas from two decades ago, like…

They say "fuck canon," but only to have an excuse to whitewash psychopaths and portray them as twink icons. It makes no sense. I insist: they could create their own lore within the Harry Potter universe. Take all those OCs, remove the canon names of characters they have nothing in common with, give them original and unique names, and create a new category on AO3 for the lore you've created. You wouldn’t be the first to do it, and it’s totally valid. And stop setting the stories in the '70s because all those OCs with canon names act like Gen Z kids—or even Gen Alphas—living in pre-Thatcher Britain, like, what the hell?

The best thing about the First Wizarding War universe years ago was that the CANON was unexplored, and you could create fascinating things. But always based on the CANON. Because no, “fuck canon” doesn’t work, because if you say “fuck canon,” then you're just talking about characters you don’t like. You say you’re a fan of Sirius Black, but you’re not a fan of Sirius Black. You’re a fan of an original fanfic character with traits that have nothing to do with Sirius Black, but you slapped his name on it—why? Sirius Black was the tallest, most handsome, and most masculine and violent of the Marauders in canon. He wasn’t a girly, whiny twink. Rowling spends the ENTIRE saga CONSTANTLY emphasizing how masculine, how macho, how handsome, how masculine, how handsome, and (again) how masculine Sirius Black was. Over and over. The only other character Rowling insists so much on describing physically is Snape, but only to constantly point out how ugly he is and ironically assign him FEMININE traits. Snape, who is canonically unattractive but also canonically not masculine by patriarchal standards, is someone super macho types like Sirius mocked precisely for that.

I think the problem with this fandom is that they want to be the protagonists, the cool kids, the main characters everyone admires. But the reality of the canon is that both the Marauders and the pure-blood Slytherins of the era would have hated, mocked, and marginalized people with the characteristics fans assign to these characters in fandom. That Sirius the fandom adores wouldn’t have lasted half an hour with the real teenage Sirius Black, who would have bullied him immediately for being “weird.” The fandom’s James would have been ridiculed by canon James, who would’ve seen him as a total loser. Fandom Barty? Canon Barty would’ve Crucio’d him to bits. Canon Regulus would’ve paid someone to drown fandom Regulus. And yes, that Severus fandom invented—a sort of rapist or something—would’ve disgusted canon Severus, who didn’t even dare say anything to Lily. But honestly, who’s that fandom Lily? Because canon Lily didn’t know what feminism was and was dying to have a traditional family before 20 with a rich guy who could give her financial stability. Like, seriously, xD.

I’m sorry, but your OCs wouldn’t last half an hour in '70s Hogwarts because both sides would tear them to pieces. And in the end, all the “fuck canon” rhetoric is just a way to deny that they need to project themselves as protagonists, but they know they never would be in the Marauders’ lore because, in that context, they’d end up as bad or worse than Snape. And that’s precisely why they hate Snape so much—because that character constantly reminds them that, in fact, the Marauders were bullies. And they were bullies to those who didn’t have the looks, social class, appearance, or clothes deemed acceptable. Snape is actually the closest thing to themselves that fans of the Marauders will ever find, and that reminds them that in that universe, they would’ve been the nerds, losers, and outcasts of the class.

I’m sorry for being so harsh, but it’s true. They’ve invented characters in their own image, slapped canon names on them to feel important and central, but the reality is that the actual canon characters would’ve bullied them so much they’d have ended up the same or worse than Snape.

Reverse Unpopular Opinion: Amy Madison

This is an interesting one because I think there’s a solid argument to be made that the character of “Amy Madison” does not, in fact, actually exist on the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

By which I mean … look, okay, yes, obviously, there is a character in an early Season 1 episode called Amy Madison, played by Elizabeth Anne Allen.  And there’s a character with the same name in a Season 2 episode, and [in an admittedly weird coincidence] she’s also played by Elizabeth Anne Allen.  And there’s one in Season 3, and a one in a few episodes of Season 6, and one in an episode of Season 7, and all of them are played by the same actor.

But … I mean, come on.  There’s no way these can all be the same character, right?  They don’t have the same basic back story or the same relationship to magic or to Willow; they certainly don’t have anything resembling a definite personality or set of motivations or a consistent character arc.  No, surely what’s going on here is that there are several different “Amy Madisons” in Sunnydale – just like there are several different characters called Anne or Nancy on the show – and in a bizarre in-joke the writers simply decided to cast the same woman to play all of them.

Now, ordinarily, simply being written inconsistently over a handful of episodes and not having anything resembling the same personality from week to week would be no obstacle to having a few die-hard fans.  But – as far as I can tell, anyway? – there’s no “fandom Amy” either.  She never really gets mentioned when people want to talk about how all the Scooby Gang had awful mothers [even though Amy actually did, explicitly and inarguably, have a very, very awful and openly abusive mother!].  There’s very little in the way of Amy/Willow shipping going on here or on AO3 [even though witchcraft is heavily coded as a metaphor for being a lesbian and Amy, one of the first witches we meet on the show, is repeatedly linked to Willow throughout the show’s run].  There are no adorable drawings of Amy as a rat staring out of her cage at Willow and Tara (or if there are, they aren’t getting as many notes as they should be getting).  

No, it looks like most people who are still watching and talking about the show twenty-five years later have about as much interest in poor Amy Madison as the writers did.  She’s a plot device.  A punchline.  A cipher.  A blank slate.  She’s whatever the plot requires her to be to further the stories of the actual characters on the show, and she’ll never ever be anything else.  Which is a little sad, if you think about it.  I think Amy – or, well, most of the different Amys: The Killer In Me’s smirking evil-for-evil’s-sake Amy I’m not so sure about – deserved better.

[As I write this the thought occurs to me, belatedly, that I might be one of Amy Madison’s biggest fans.  Pretty grim news for her if so.]

OK. Enough stalling.  Five positive things about Amy Madison [with, as ever, the usual caveat about the comics, which I’ve still not read anything about and still don’t exist].

Witch, Amy’s debut appearance, is a solid episode!  One of that season’s best, I think (though not, of course, one of its very best).  And I think the duo of Elizabeth Anne Allen's Amy Madison (and Robin Riker as her mom Catherine) is a big part of why that episode works: no, they haven’t got a huge amount to work with, but I think they both do a pretty good job switching between evil witch Catherine and innocent victim Amy.  Catherine’s bodyswap spell foreshadows (albeit unintentionally) the bodyswap artifact that the Mayor gifts Faith in This Year’s Girl / Who Are You? and I’ll always have a soft sport for it because of that.  And I really like that the episode ends with Amy alive and hanging out with Buffy in a way that suggests that they are going to stay friends, even if we don’t see any evidence on screen that that happened.

Sarcasm aside, I’m really glad the writers brought Amy back in the second season.  To me, part of the appeal of the high school years are the recurring minor characters – I talked about Principal Snyder before, but also Jonathan and Devon and Percy and Harmony and … yes, Amy too.  The show obviously doesn’t care about her very much, and you have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to fill in the missing pieces of her story and make her arc make sense (why is she starting to do magic in Season 2?  When does she start hanging out with Willow?), but … well, I do care and I have done those gymnastics.  At least Amy didn’t end up like Marcie Ross or Buffy’s old flame Owen or any of those poor kids who must remember eating Principal Flutie. 

I’ve been reading a few old interviews Elizabeth Anne Allen gave recently (here and here, for example) which I think have some pretty interesting insights into how the character of Amy developed.  Had you ever heard there were persistent rumors at one point that Amy was going to be one of the starting regulars on Angel?  It’s mind-boggling to think about a world where that happened.  Allen seems to have put a huge amount of thought into her character, too, at least for her first few appearances, which … uh, I guess makes me feel a bit shitty about those opening paragraphs. [Not enough to delete them though…]  Also in one of the linked interviews she says that she “hopes she won’t be a rat much longer” – and that’s an interview she gave before the Season 3 finale had even made it to air, which made me pretty sad to read.  Forget appearing on Angel, imagine if Amy had been de-ratted in Season 4.  Imagine if Superstar was about Amy instead of Jonathan.

There is a second or two in Season 6’s Smashed – no more than that – when Buffy and Amy are catching up again (“How have you been?”  “Rat.  You?”  “Dead.”  “Oh.”) and you can, if you’re quick, delude yourself into thinking that the show is going to do something interesting with the obvious parallel it’s just set up. Willow has now not only brought Buffy back into the regular human world [and left her struggling to live and find meaning as a college drop out with a dead mother and an absent father last seen on screen about five years ago], she’s also brought Amy back into the regular human world [and left her struggling to live and find meaning as a de facto high school drop out with a presumed-dead mother and a presumably-now-absent father last mentioned about five years ago].  Surely this must be deliberate?  Well, no: the show doesn’t do anything with this idea ever again, because Marti Noxon had very different [worse] ideas for Amy’s character this season, but if you pretend it might be about do something like that it’s a pretty exciting couple of seconds.

The fact that “Amy Madison” exists as a (technically!) canon character means that I can write (or daydream about writing) fanfiction in which Willow has a friend in high school who is also a practising witch. One with a vague but miserable home life, who is secretly in love with Willow but too afraid to admit it (and so she keeps professing to be interested in men who she can’t possibly ever expect to date, either because they’re unpleasantly vile toward women or openly gay or both). And I can do that while, just about, pretending that I have not created the most embarrasingly psychologically revealing OC you ever heard about in your life.  Thanks Amy!

#1 Pomni- Bi

Pomni is a depressed, anxious little cat who keeps getting soggy despite her best attempts to get dry. She's so sad and keeps getting knocked down and that feels like the bisexuals I know and love. She probably smokes cigarettes with shaky hands and stares at the wall in the shower. Such a little loser who probably bites. Love her.

#2 Ragatha- trans and lesbian

Lesbians love sewing!! I thought I was a lesbian and I sewed then!! In honesty I made Ragatha a lesbian bc I can't stand ragatha x Jax I have to stop it at all costs I'm sorry. I feel like she's an elder gay she has such a maternal energy to her. Pomni loves it Ragatha gets the blow dryer when she gets soppy again. Also my impulses are to make every character transgender and same sex attracted.

#3 Jax- trans and gay

I made him gay so I can have him all to myself. Half jk he's my favorite character so I projected the shit outta him. He's gay and trans because he's got that t-boy swagger and I wish it so.

#4 Gangle- ace/aro

This one is also projecting. I just think it's funny if Zooble reads through Gangle's 200,000 word novel and they ask her "You're are/ace why are you even into this" and Gangle just shrugs. I think she has a shirt of the contemplative wolf and loves it unironically.

#5 Zooble- genderfluid, pansexual & ace

Bold to assume Zooble gives a fuck. They feel what they feel when they feel it, a real go with the flow thing. Zooble and Gangle are best friends, they smoke and listen to queen on the grammaphone Zooble has bc they're cool and vintage like that. I fucking love Zooble they're unbothered, moisturized as they can be in a circus hell scape and satisfied.

#6 Kinger- trans and bi

What a crazed man. Look at him. He's definitely sexually experimented with men before he met his wife but never realized it had a label until Pomni told him. What a wife guy you know Queenie was his whole world he loved her so much. It was breakfast in bed for her everyday. He can't cook though so it's probably fruit loops and frozen waffles. He probably has a homoerotic relationship with Caine where they're both oblivious to how they sound to other people. He's just trans he's always known that. He has chest scars. Don't think of the implications.

Maybe he's gay. Idk. He really likes Kinger though in some aspect he's into men. He's not supposed to have favorites but he does. He does little things for every character but he likes Kinger wayyyy more.

i think it's easier to agree with terfism in concept, that a woman is just an Adult Human Female and this is actually liberatory rather than regressive & confining.

but in practice, in terf spaces you'll find:

cis women sexually harassing each other (some even talked about wanting to rape women, but since they weren't Male it was a-ok. certainly not as much of a biggie as a trans woman peacefully existing online, anyway.) there is also so much shaming of formerly prostituted women, rf or not, & rape/dv victims.

weird racism and nazi shit! much like the rapey people mentioned above, while some terfs wouldn't outright support racism, they'd tolerate it and follow "white supremacist feminists" or "radical feminists" making anti-semitic jokes (cough cough. radfem hitler) some terfs thought they were weird privately but there was no move to push them out of terf spaces like there was with Transfem Lesbians Existing.

this is also racism & nazi shit... when women's march changed their logo, there was a huge backlash in terf spaces about how this silhouette–

–was male, or meant to be a trans woman. of course, a lot of people were like "that's racist because some woc have that nose type." i saw two responses to that argument-- 1), it was actually the brow bone which was male, so it wasn't racist, and 2) women's march did this on purpose to make terfs look bad (and? it worked lmfao.) i was shocked at just how openly, insanely regressive this was, and it illustrated a point to me about terfs-- they will throw women under the bus who look masculine (like, any woman who could've had that silhouette) to keep the trans moral panic fueled.

more on throwing masc (cis) & other women under the bus-- i saw terfs who'd spent time in those spaces for a while began to question if muscular women in wrestling were "real women" or if they were "a man pretending to be a woman." trans women were made fun of for their "male" features, which of course, weren't male specific. they mocked vaginoplasty & dilation to get to trans women, thereby also insulting the cis women who did those things (which, they seemed to either not know about or just didn't care.) at one point, a cis tirf was talking about her experience getting harassed as trans in the bathroom and a bunch of terfs ganged up on her to call her a liar. so, believe women until it goes against your political agenda i guess? and, for that bbc article on cis lesbians feeling pressured to sleep with trans women, they literally interviewed a cis lesbian who'd been accused of rape multiple times, including in bathrooms. but trans women are the actual rapists, right?

one thing that's very sad is how woc in these spaces will see things like, nazis coming to terf events and being Allowed to stay there and plead for the movement to change, as if... anyone cares about woc here? terfs don't care about masc or non-white women considering how their rhetoric negatively impacts both.

crazy amounts of terfs claiming they just care about trans people and don't want them to hurt themselves, thennn calling trans people mutilated freaks & posting pictures without consent, even of minors, of surgery results good and bad.

and concerning the last point, this is just some contradictory things i've seen in terf spaces concerning cis women & afab people, but really the transmisogyny should be enough to stop your support of it. even if terfs managed to liberate all afab people somehow, trans women's well-being is important by itself. i just think these contradictions i've seen personally work nicely to poke holes in terf ideology.

Alright - Isolde and Tuesday after being screened by the Foundation become residents of the suitcase with loads of restrictions, even more for Tuesday with the information about the motel. It was likely deemed keeping them there was the best decision, as in its now the Timekeeper's problem to deal with the murder lesbians.

Kakania as seen with the post-journey art is likely following/ accompanying Marcus as her assistant (or something like that, all we can say deffo is that Kakania will actively avoid Isolde, like that one Wilderness interaction oh god thats so sad).

Lucy joins the suitcase after being demoted (or holiday idk), makes modifications to her appearance as more human-like (her insight 2 design).

Can't say much on Argus so far, need their anecdote but likely after discovering whatever the truth was with Kayla.

Joe, Pioneer, Mercuria AND Sputnik likely join later after the events of 2.0,2.1,2.2 since Vertin is in Brazil and Matilda's journey was just before Vertin reached Texas. Similar thing with Barbara unless we see her in 2.2.

Still no idea on Eternity, but likely she joins the suitcase wayyyy later since we know Matilda is a frequent visitor (cough. victim) of the suitcase and had not met Eternity until 2.0. Already confirmed she joined at least some point after Marcus with their comic.

Its actually very convenient to pair up Lilya and Vertin to travel long distances, the only downside being if Red-38 suffers damages then they are on foot.

For the 2.2 gang, Anjo likely under goes the process of testing and watching similar to Isolde, Tuesday and Jessica (if anything shes probably the nicest and safest person to be stuck in a room out of the lot, unless shes under orders to kill you or somethin). It will be interesting when she joins since we now can confirm she met Matilda and Joe, how Joe and Anjo might interact after 2.0 and Argus after 2.1.

Mr Duncan and White Rum I would say the same deal, join after a while. Mr Duncan is the most interesting since its confirmed he is human and with the Umbrella from 1.9 he will be the second human Vertin saves if a Storm comes to Brazil (I have a feeling it might tbh, either this patch or next). Potentially the first human to survive the Storm in the suitcase with the Umbrella maybe?

We now know the suitcase can change format so maybe big big lore implications here once we get the ability to change the lobby (wild guess if Bessmert Martha Urd is the original owner of the suitcase maybe teaches Vertin how to? Or she just meets someone who knows about it?)

idk how i feel about him tbh. like on the one hand it really skeeves me out when someone flirts with a person, registers they're not interested, and keeps pushing anyway, but on the other hand i appreciate the cat king backing off & providing an alternate solution when edwin is clearly uncomfortable with being openly propositioned. he'll still hit on people who Do Not Want to be hit on but he does not coerce sex!! so. yknow. at least there's that?

NIKO MY BELOVED NIKO she's so funny and endearing. i love that she can see the guys now, it seems like she'll be sticking around/part of the gang which i'm very happy for!!! also it seems the pink lights were not in fact lesbianism. sad! oh well the episode was fun and the pixies were done so creatively plus they're funny

crystal putting herself at risk like that.... my girl. i do think what she said to charles about only saying it to trick the sprites wasn't necessarily Untrue in that she was saying it to them For that reason, but i also think it's something she's really feeling. that was too genuine and too quick to have been pulled from nowhere, especially with the context of her earlier conversation with niko. i don't think she really believes that she has nothing and no one, but i think she's afraid she has nothing and no one and that's what she pulled on for that trick.

i noticed something earlier in the episode that made me smile. so edwin was talking about detective work and getting a little smug and bitchy in a fun way, and charles was just watching him with this smile on his face- it made me very happy! they're friends and charles likes when edwin prattles on about something, instead of putting up with him or something stupid. idk i just like their dynamic and how real it feels that they care about each other

also it sure has been established that charles makes impulsive decisions without thinking the consequences through. im sure that's fine and will never come up again 👍

the magic shop was fun! love that this man establishes that he uses to be a walrus and now isn't anymore bc of Backstory and the boys simply cannot gaf. they have shit going on man they don't have time for the kind of backstory lore they probably hear all the time given they run in supernatural circles

esther... what can i say about esther. um she scares me 👍 the scene at the end where it's implied she's dismembering her crow? gross! like well done don't get me wrong the sound design made me deeply uncomfortable, but gross

also she is right that monty has a very cute face. i would not trust that man but he does have the face of a highschool freshman i would give directions to the library or encourage during rehearsal. absolutely diabolical to hinge your evil plan on a face that cute!

what else... i really like the dynamic between the four of them. i think niko is a nice addition to help balance things out so it's not all crystal & edwin sniping at each other while charles tries to mediate- which is fun don't get me wrong and i don't want the bickering to go away, but niko opens up a lot more possibilities and i look forward to seeing how her addition affects the group dynamic. or she stays a minor character they helped out and im wrong about the ending implying she joins the group LOL but we'll see! hope she stays an important character i love her, just maybe with fewer threats to her life please haha

as for a favorite character... it's so hard to pick everyone is delightful especially the main few, but if i Had to narrow it down... charles or niko? UGH but i love crystal and edwin too 😭 girl this is impossible they're all so compelling

i don't think there have been any characters i particularly dislike, actually. the little girl with the jellyfish was a bit off-putting for some reason (something about the way she talked? idk man she just threw me off a little no idea why) and the cat king is on thin fucking ice depending on how he deals with rejection (my aro ass Cannot take people acting like they're entitled to someone's affection. he backed down on the sex thing so he's fine for now but i have my goddamn eyes on him)

sadie adler is not a lesbian (let me explain why)

it's evident that sadie is struggling with immense sadness after the loss of jake, their relationship was one of true love, and it's certain they weren't in a lavender marriage. in the 1890s, couples were known to have strong bonds, just like jake and sadie did - their love was pure, and they shared their workload equally. It's a testament to the power of love that they were able to build such a fulfilling relationship. as equals and shared the work they had. yeah some husbands could be assholes but jake and wasn't, sadie speaks of jake as an amazing husband and a good honest man, she clearly loved him and i doubt she would just leave to go off with abigail, which abigail was already in some sort of "relationship" with john, and had a son, not to mention they were outlaws, it was uncommon for romance to happen or anything to occur since they were constantly on the run from police, bounty hunters, and rival gangs.

that reminds me - sadie risked her life to avenge jake and to get revenge on the o'driscolls, it's not clear what they did to sadie, but it's implied a few times in the game that she was raped. she clearly had a lot of things going on, and was most likely not in the mood to date anyone, not a man, not a woman. and sadie would have to remarry if she wanted to get with abigail - since girlfriends or boyfriends weren't a thing yet in the late 19th century, it was only marriage, and as i said before - she wasn't in the mood to date or remarry, so it's unlikely she loved anyone else. she talks about jake briefly, sometimes in chapters 1-2 you can greet her and she will mention jake, and in the epilogue as well, she also mentions him in chapter 6 and i remember hearing some dialogue from her in chapters 3-4, it went along the lines of: "yeah.....i miss my jake every day." in a broken and scratchy voice. and obviously she talks about him in the very first mission of the game.

she doesn't talk about jake all the time, but there is times she will, and it's evident she misses him and loved him like absolute hell, and was willing to die for him.
