My take on the Bad Kid scars! AKA my excuse to make like a 4 page Google doc worth of headcanons.

I've thought about this kind of a lot while considering how I draw the Bad Kids because I love when characters carry evidence of their history with them (not just scars, stuff like the tin flower emblem or Figs Ayda-feather-earring also exist in this category, and I have separate notes for those too)

Since magic is a big part of healing in this world I have some stipulations for what actually causes scarring in my own headcanons-

(Rest is under the cut. This bitch is looong and it's technically unfinished. Heads up for descriptions of injuries and spoilers for the first 2 seasons of Fantasy High.)

So here's the rules:

1. It's a big story moment. Random slashes or scratches or whatever don't show up because they're not relevant to the characters history and they're small enough that I think magical means would completely cover them.

2. The attack downs them. This just makes it easier to track, any attack that knocks a character out has the potential to leave a lasting mark.

3. Based on some comments from Brennan, it seems like low level healing magic (ex. Cure Wounds, Healing Word) is essentially time-based. It basically fast-forwards the healing process months in advance. That's gonna affect how scars work. Unless otherwise stated, that's how I'm gonna approach the magical healing process.

Figeuroth Faeth

• Tuna Surprise Eldritch Blast- Doreen (S1E2)

Small burn scar on the left side of her check/around her lips from when she caught the Eldritch Blast with her face. The Phoenix Egg spell mostly took care of it, so it's quite faint, but it still can get tight and itchy. Fig has a special moisturizer for it that she keeps next to her horn cream.

• Torn ear- Figueroth Faeth (S2E12)

Honestly this is mostly because I find it funny. This is from that moment when Fig rips out her earring to give to Ayda in exchange for the feather. It's very common in D&D designs for characters with long ears to have rips or notches in them to show that they're active or battle-worn. I really like this idea of a kind of Jason Grace style scar where you look at her and you wonder "Woah, I wonder what battle caused that" because she's this legendary adventurer but the truth is that she did it to herself because she's a sweet-hearted dumbass who was tripping over herself trying to give her crush a gift. It got healed up soon enough, there's just a divet at the bottom of her ear now.

Riz Gukgak

• Hand Cuts- Crystal Interior (S1E14)

Riz was tearing through his hands trying to get out of that thing, I can't imagine that it didn't leave a lasting impact. Both sides of his hands and a little up his forearms are covered in slashes. They've healed kind of unevenly since he does a lot of work with his hands that require some amount of dexterity and precision (mostly writing, typing, drawing up maps, ect.) The forearm scars are pretty much settled, but the ones on his palms and fingers are still irritable and sometimes painful enough that he has to stop working. It does not help at all that this kid refuses to sleep or stretch or experience rest, so he probably gets a lot of stiffness and cramping too (at least, more than he would if he actually got sleep ever). Since they got re-agitated in Sophomore Year his friends have gotten very good at noticing when he's ignoring the pain and force him to take a damn break every once in a while. He has a tell for it and none of them will tell him what it is. He appreciates that they care about him, but god is the mystery infuriating. He actively refuses to acknowledge the irony of that.

• Lightning to the Chest- Aelwyn Abernant (S1E12)

In the sister fight Aelwyn knocks Riz out with a fucking lightning bolt. This is what sets Adaine completely over the edge. He gets healed up pretty fast, so it's not a life threatening scenario, but it's still a fucking lightning bolt. He's got a circular burn scar in the center of his chest. Much like Figs, it doesn't bother him much, but it still requires some attention and maintenance for at least a couple weeks. Honestly he straight up forgets it's there sometimes. Adaine probably thinks about it more than he does.

Fabian Seacaster

• Enucleation- Dayne Blade (S1E16)

So the main thing here is the eye, but it also covers a good chunk of the left side of his face. Essentially this big slashing weapon caught him right at the top of where his ear connects to the rest of his head and dragged forward far and deep enough to take out his left eye. Also notable is that he doesn't get any medical attention beyond minor heals for a hot minute. And when he gets hit he spends a couple minutes running around a burning house filled with ash and smoke and blood. The moment of Bill giving Fabian his eye patch is incredibly tender. It's also NASTY, dude. That thing is for sure covered in blood and ash and he puts it right over an OPEN WOUND. I love that scene to death, and there is absolutely no way that that thing isn't getting crazy infected without immediate/magical medical attention. I imagine Kristen and Riz took a good chunk of that frozen time to treat it as much as they could. I picture the slash healing into a pretty thick hypertrophic scar that goes from his ear over his eye to the edge of his nose. He definitely had to actually go to a hospital after prom to get proper treatment. His skin could be mostly stitched back together magically, so the main focus from actual medical professionals was putting in an orbital implant and getting him a conformer to maintain the structural integrity of the eye socket. He probably has a bunch of cool decorative prosthetic eyes for big events because he's a fancy little rich boy, but I don't think he actually uses them a lot (for a couple reasons, the main one is the eye patch. Why bother putting it in when he's gonna cover it up immediately anyway?) He just uses the conformer like 99% of the time. The eye patch mostly has sentimental value, but it also does have that charisma stat boost effect, so he has it on when he's adventuring or at school, but takes it off at home. His big issue is adjusting to his new depth perception. He spends months and months re-learning the sword with Hallariel, which is immensely frustrating. He knows how to do it, but he has to completely readjust how he thinks about approaching it, which I think would really get under his skin. Especially since it's such a big part of his identity at this point. It takes him a good while to get back to his previous skill level, but damn if he doesn't do it.

Kristen Applebees

• Gored Through the Chest- The Great Unicorn (S2E17)

100% my least grounded in any form of reality headcanon. She fully resurrected herself. The scar left from the horn of the unicorn is a little more like a slightly raised tattoo than an actual scar. It's more of a magical imprint of the divine act of resurrection than anything left behind by the wound itself. As her bones and skin and muscles literally stitched themselves back together they sort of knitted into a single point, which grew a patch of discolored skin. The skin is thick, and purplish, and shaped like some kind of rune that doesn't actually exist in any surviving magical language. A permanent mark of the impossible magic she enacted. There's an identical mark that's a little bigger on her back, where the horn entered through. A less obvious element of that scar is how it affected her heart. The thing was ripped apart, and basically the only thing that could fix that was god magic. Luckily, she got that! I imagine that her heart now has this weird rippling effect over the muscle, almost like aurora borealis. It doesn't actually affect a ton because, again, god magic, but man does it fuck with medical equipment sometimes. I also think that if you were to cast Detect Magic on her, without any of her gear or spell effects, you would still read that Raise Dead effect just radiating off of her.

• Pinky Finger- Removal and Resurrection

I think that her right pinky finger didn't entirely recover from having a full bone taken out, and now the last knuckle has some mobility issues. It's just really stiff and doesn't really bend on its own. She's also lost a lot of sensation in that finger specifically. It shouldn't get any more intense than that without extenuating circumstances, but given that god magic is a little unpredictable she and her doctor are keeping an eye on it. She does a lot of stretches and exercises to keep her hands loose and moving. Ounce of prevention and all that. It's also a part of her gym bloke routine in Junior Year.

Gorgug Thistlespring

• Slice Through the Hand- Forest of Blades (S1E3)

All the way around his hand there's this line, as though his hand was cut clean through and then perfectly realigned and glued back together. By Sophomore Year the scar has almost completely flattened, it's just a discolored line all the way around the surface of his hand.

• Crushed Heart- Nerd Ghosts (S1E14)

The effects of this one are two-fold; first, the streak of gray hair, second, a lasting effect on his heart. The prolonged strain on the actual organ of his heart from this encounter left him with increased risk for cardiovascular problems that he didn't have before. He doesn't really notice it (mostly because when it's noticeable he's so high on adrenaline that he's not really noticing anything) but his heart is definitely weaker than it should be. It's not life threatening, but it's for sure something that Digby and Wilma have stressed the importance of monitoring because they are good responsible parents. The actual visible impact from the ghost attack is the streak of gray hair he has, which is permanent. It just grows gray there now. He thinks it looks pretty cool.

Adaine Abernant/ O'Shaughnessy

• Teeth Marks- Jawbone O'Shaughnessy (S1E6)

Basically just a dog bite on her right forearm. Normally healing magic would be able to patch that up without any scarring, but the werewolf pathogen adds a complication to it. Still, pretty average looking scar. She feels a little weird about it, cause on the one hand getting it sucked, but on the other hand now every time she sees it she thinks about her amazing new dad, so there's a weird sentimental element. She and Jawbone have for sure had a long discussion about the validness of any of her feelings about it and how it's ok to acknowledge the harm done to her, even by well-intentioned parties. He probably feels a lot worse about it than she does. The reveal of which probably initiated another very long discussion.

• Gored Through the Chest- The Great Unicorn

This time it's just a normal scar, no crazy magical runes involved. I'm not entirely sure how a fully healed version of this injury would actually... Work? The part that's visible would be the broken skin, so probably a combination of a fine-line scar and a depressed scar, (sharp edges + impaling motion) but I'm not entirely sure how to properly translate that visually, or if it's at all realistic. Further research pending. Anyways she and Kristen have matching injury scars! The besties ever

so it’s been on my mind since u mentioned having hopes for where the spn plot goes, if you haven’t posted them already i would loveee love to hear your thoughts 👀

i've tried answering this off-and-on, then got really busy, then forgot what i was thinking of when i left that comment about possible ends for sammy winchester. i said it when i was watching s2, you sent me this ask when i was watching s3, and i'm answering it now while over halfway into s4.

the bottom line is exactly like what the show is foreshadowing: all the psychic stuff and/or demon blood stuff is only going to escalate, and inevitably, reach a destructive peak wherein sam is no longer himself. he's going to hurt people. or maybe that doesn't happen, but the dark power feels so overwhelming and painful it scars him deeply. forever.

it's primarily because i was so taken by s1e9 home, when sammy first starts having intense and violent visions about his childhood home + s1e14 nightmare where sam connects with the other psychic boy who was abused by his father and uncle. and the sinister nature and origin of their powers starts to really take shape.

at the time, i didn't have all the details i have now - the sordid history between yellow-eyes and the winchester family and the demon blood feeding. i just love the narrative thread where...... there's a really scary, bad, and evil force/agent out there. you've been hurt by it, likely when you were very young. and now you're older, that dark touch manifests as the preternatural.

summer sons' andrew blur, who is a very important person to me, can fall under this umbrella pretty nicely. sammy's blood-feeding reveal.... that was huge for me, it validated the comparisons i made in my head between s1 sammy and andrew. andrew's ghost shit, his ambiguously ominous powers, his connection with the gothic-but-real. (spoilers..?) it stems from him being 12 and forcefully fed human blood. it inducts him into the blood owner's cursed family. the way that metaphor was in summer sons, i connect to spn and sammy. it's not a one-to-one of course, one story just enriches the other and my readings of both.

the other part of this is that sammy winchester is... also like star wars' anakin skywalker. ruby makes a similar reference in s4e9, "sam going dark side", was super exciting for me because it's how i've understood his arc too! he's framed as the evil brother, dean the good brother a la anakin, obi-wan, etc.

and, i mean. anakin's moral character deteriorates, he is increasingly accosted by horrific visions, he's so isolated and pained, he seeks the guidance of the devil. and then vaders out. andrew ultimately secures a better ending for himself, but the road is rough. similar deal, fucked up powers, violent visions and dreams that wound his psyche and his body. he gives in more and more to that dark feeling inside him, can't stop tapping into that power. in another world, one that i think about a lot, it leads to andrew committing suicide. that's the trajectory of it i think, his awful spiral. but his intervention arrives and things change.

i don't know how sam's arc is going to wrap up at the end of s5. but i know more or less the themes, the feelings involved with his narrative because i've been here before. so far i'm getting what i want - sammy playing peekaboo with his demon blood & associated qualities. back and forth with ruby, arguing with dean about it. the visual of sweat + migraines + nosebleeds. the sick and twisted pleasure it gives him to perform these little mind tricks.

i hope it blows up in his face. i hope it wrecks him completely, maybe even beyond repair. i hope sam becomes the biggest, baddest fucker in demon town to a brother who's been to hell. and they argue at each other about it a ton. everyone knows something very bad is waiting to happen to sammy winchester, and i sure hope it does......!!!!!

This is the season 1 two part finale. It has major character beats for almost everyone and sets up season 2.

S2E1-2 Siege of Lothal

This two part arc sets up all of season 2. Also has animated Darth Vader (very cool)

S2E3-4 The Lost Commanders-ROTOR

This is an arc which stars some major players of the clone wars! These episodes gives context to what clones are doing at this point in the timeline as well as provides an important character beat for Kanan.

S2E7 Wings of the Master

Very important Hera episode! Shares some of her backstory and is just all around a wholesome time!

S2E8 - Blood Sisters

An important Sabine episode. Also the Sabine is sapphic holy text. Sabine tragic backstory time.

S2E11 - Legacy

One of the most important Ezra episodes. This will have you crying by the end of it. It is also an incredible episode all around

S2E14 - Legends of The Lasat

One of THE Zeb episodes! The score, the animation, the writing. There are so many good things to say about this one.

S2E16 Homecoming

A very important Hera episode. This episode displays so much of Hera’s resilience as a character.

S2E17 The Honorable Ones

If you were going to watch any Zeb episode this has got to be in the top 3. It showcases the character development he has gone through throughout the last 2 seasons. Also this is the Kalluzeb holy text you’ve heard so much about.

S2E21-22 Twilight of the Apprentice

Ahhhh sooooooo good! At the the time this was the resolution to Ahsoka’s story that we never got and it still is such a good resolution to The Clone Wars. The score, the animation, the writing, you will be crying by the end of this.

Season 3

S3E3 The Holocrans of Fate

Very good Ezra episode. Is sorta the conclusion of his dark side era (for now). Also Darth Maul realness in this episode!!!

S3E4 The Antilles Extraction

Sabine in her spy era!!! A very good display of her character. Also there’s a very good twist at the end of this one.

S3E5 Hera’s Heroes

Hera episode!!!! Also Thrawn episode and God is he scary in this one.

S3E10 An Inside Man

Many a twist and turn in this episode. I can’t say much more without giving it away.

S3E20 - Twin Suns

Ezra episode but once again I can’t say much more than that without giving it away.

S3E21-22 Zero Hour

Ahhhh it’s so hard to explain season 3 without spoilers. But know this is a very good Thrawn episode and a very good Ghost Crew episode

The latest It Lives Within episode had viewers on the edge of their seats! From murderous ghosts to heartwarming moments to steamy love scenes, Rowan Burke and Abel Flint spill all! Talk about a rollercoaster! How do you draw inspiration for all that intensity?

Rowan: Well, I like to draw from personal experiences as much as possible. It helps that Annie’s actress is played by my little sister in real life. So when we do scenes together, I imagine how it would feel to see her so lost and confused… and being unable to help with that.

Abel: At the very least, you won’t have to worry about her dying from a vine monster.

Rowan: Or turning into a blue corrupted spirit. She really likes the special effects though.

Isn’t that just charming! Speaking of personal experiences, how does your working relationship translate to the big screen?

Abel: Oh, we’re very close in real life. I feel like I can talk to Ro about anything.

You were absentmindedly touching the table in the hallway with little trinkets and when you passed over one of the figurines, it moved. You looked at it and then at your hand. What just happened? You moved your hand back and that caused the trinket to fly in the direction you moved your hand. You gasped and back away from the table.

Wat the hell was happening? You stuck your hand out again and moved it to the right, but a little more forcefully and that moved the whole table. It creaked as it moved and you looked at your hands. Why are you just now doing this? Why didn’t you do this before? What was wrong with you? Were you like Sam? What did this mean? You wish your mom was here because she apparently knew more that you did.

“Y/N, you coming?” Dean said, looking at you in the hallway.

“Yeah, coming.” You bit your lip and carefully moved passed the table and ran into the bedroom. Should you tell Dean what happened? What about Sam? Should you just keep your mouth shut?

Ms. Miller came to and Dean was already there, dabbing a wet cloth on her bleeding head.

“I’m sorry, Ms. Miller.” You said even though you didn’t know what you were sorry for.

“No, it’s my fault. I never did anything to stop the beatings.” She sighed and looked down. Suddenly, the door creaked open and Max walked in with the gun in his hand. You gasped and watched as Dean made a move to him but Max flung him into the wall.

“Dean!” You were about to go over to him but Max flung you to the wall, keeping his powers on you so you couldn’t move.

“Max!” Ms. Miller said. Max held up Dean’s gun and pointed it to her. Dean got up and once he saw the gun, he sprang into action.

“Stay back. This is not about you.” Max said, not wanting to hurt Dean. Why would he? He didn’t do anything to Max.

“You wanna kill her you gotta go through me first.” Dean stated firmly.

“No! Max! Please don’t!” You yelled, tears streaming down your face. You just got Dean back from almost dying. You can’t let it happen again. Before Max had a chance to shoot, Sam came right in and looked at Max.

“No don't! Don't! Please. Please. Max. Max. We can help you. All right. But this, what you're doing, it's not the solution. It's not going to fix anything.” Sam pleaded, becoming worried. Max was crying, sweating and shaky but he nodded. He relaxed a bit and the gun was pointed to himself.

“You’re right.” Suddenly, the trigger was pulled and Max slumped to the floor, dead. The hold he had on you was now gone and you slid to the floor, getting up immediately and running to Dean. You ran into his arms and let tears fall.

“NO!!” Sam yelled but it was too late. Max was gone. Ms. Miller grabbed her phone shakily and called the police while Sam stared at Max’s body. You looked at Dean and kissed him long.

“Don’t ever do that again, you hear me.” You pulled away and stared into his eyes.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart, but it was the only thing I could think of.” He said, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. Momentarily, you forgot you moved a whole table with your hand.

“I know, but please, your life isn’t less important than hers. You’re mine now and you’re the most important person I know.” You said, looking down.

The cops arrived pretty soon and everyone was gathering downstairs.

“Max attacked me. He threatened me with a gun.” Ms. Miller said to the cops.

“And these three?” The cop motioned to you and the Winchesters.

“They're... family friends. I called them soon as Max arrived. I was scared. They tried to stop him. They fought for the gun.” Ms. Miller lied a little.

“Where did Max get the gun?” The cop wondered. You bit your lip, wondering if she was going to sell Dean out.

“I don't know. He showed up with it and...” She couldn’t finish her sentence as she began to cry. You let out a breath of relief when she didn’t sell you out. “I've lost everyone.”

“We'll give you a call if we have any further questions.” The cop said, looking at you.

“Thanks, Officer. We should leave now.” You smiled and took Dean’s hand, leading him to the Impala.

“If I'd just said something else and gotten through to him somehow.” Sam said, blaming himself. It was the Winchester way to always blame yourself no matter the situation.

“Sam, don’t do that to yourself.” You said.

“Do what?” He asked, pretending not to know what you were talking about.

“Torture yourself. It wouldn't have mattered what you said, Max was too far gone.” You said.

“When I think about how he looked at me, right before. I should have done something.” Sam sighed.

“Come on man, you risked your life. I mean yeah, maybe if we had gotten there 20 years earlier.” Dean said, shrugging.

“Well I'll tell you one thing. We're lucky we had Dad.” Sam said with a smile.

“Well I never thought I'd hear you say that.” Dean chuckled, happy a little at that.

“Well, it could have gone a whole other way after Mom. A little more tequila and a little less demon hunting and we would have had Max's childhood. All things considered, we turned out ok. Thanks to him.”

“Great, I’m ready to leave this town so if we could get back to the motel.” You smiled a tight one and got in the car. Now that this thing was all over, you couldn’t stop staring at your hands. What did that all mean, back there?

Dean didn’t question you as he and his brother got in the car and in no time at all, were you packing up. The brothers were outside by the car, putting everything away while you were inside. You still had no idea what was wrong with you but you needed to know for sure. Maybe Max was doing it by himself and you thought you were doing it.

Making sure no one was watching, you stared at the lamp, moving your hand in the exact way you did with the table. Nothing happened and you tried again, going the other way. Still, nothing happened. Maybe it really was Max and not you. You walked closer to it and stared at the lightbulb hard enough but jumped back in fear when it busted, sending glass everywhere on the floor.

You raised your hand to your mouth but as you did, the lamp itself rose and you stared as it rose higher and higher, the higher your hand rose. You heard Sam and Dean’s voices and you quickly dropped your hand, the lamp dropping on the table, breaking in big pieces.

“Are you okay?” Dean popped his head in and frowned when he saw the broken lamp.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m ready.” You grabbed your bag and never looked away from the lamp.

“Great, because we’re going to Vegas. I have a feeling Sam is going to get us lucky.” Dean grinned, walking back to the Impala.

“No, I’m not! We’re not going to Vegas!” You heard Sam say from the car. You wanted to laugh and joke with them, but you were too scared. Should you tell them what happened?

Coulson is SO determined to save her. He was begging for death - why does he want to put her through that? 

They really did try to explain they were there for medical assistance, but it’s not fun to see them kill everyone in that base

S1E14 Awesome: 

- it’s not really shown much because of the sarcasm, slapstick comedy, and getting beaten up, but Peter is actually pretty funny

- i love that Harry and Danny became good friends. trauma buddies, though Harry likely doesn’t know it

- Luke was 100% willing to split the work, but Peter’s a control freak and wanted to do it all himself

- okay science nerd, let’s run this out. you could’ve said, “i made replicas”

- Spidey-Sense works, it’s just that you’re so used to it you’re ignoring it

- Luke! you’re not supposed to give away your secret identity you dumbass! picking up an entire table and throwing it like it’s nothing doesn’t help that

- when the team is getting ready to fight but not yet in their hero suits, Danny lines up behind Peter

- quick change!

- yes lets eat the villain. and that’s the end of Juggernaught

- Danny’s the only one with an idea to corrale Andy that actually WORKS

- given that we’ve seen Danny go through what was like six levels of solid steel with the Iron Fist under conditions that where far more stressful than this thing with Andy, i think he was holding focus for something like an hour or more

- the second Danny looses focus, Peter is right there to pick up the slack

- when Andy vomitted up everything he’d eaten and Luke went to go search through it, Danny was seconds behind with actal FEAR on his face

S1E15 For Your Eye Only: 

- Nick Fury isn’t allowing actual CHILDREN to be children

- “you’re like a fortune cookie” call backs to everytime Peter calls Danny a fortune cookie but he also added, “without the delicious cookie part” and never once says that to Danny, which i am counting

- the team constantly harps on how idiodic Peter is and how he needs to train more, but he can take on villains like the Juggernaught or Rhino by himself with minimal assistance from outside sources and still win

- since the series is told through Peter’s point of view, we’re assuming that the team isn’t on the ship. Peter was coming in for training, right? just because he was training alone doesn’t mean the others are. it’s likely they’re all trapped somewhere too. probably unconscious, given that none of them where seen during the Hellicarrier take-over

- no notable interactions between Danny and Peter, Danny’s not even in this episode, so here’s a headcanon instead: Danny was trapped in his room and knocked unsconscious (as where the rest of the team), so when he and the team come out of the unconsciousness the next morning, Danny is shocked to find that Peter’s making sure he’s okay.

S1E16 Beetle-Mania

- DANNY SITS CROSS-LEGGED IN CHAIRS

- poor Peter

- Danny and Peter are sitting across from each other, which i count because if you love someone you want to keep them in eyesight at all times. plus this is also a parallel to being on a dinner date

- listen, Danny’s not the type to brag about who he is and what he can do. this is legitamely the only time we hear him talk about himself like he could defeat a supervillain by himself. the only other time he does this, to my current knowledge, is with the Goblin and it’s in reference to the team as a whole. Danny’s talking himself up to seem more impressive. which is also why he goes last. why would he do that, you ask? for Peter, obviously!

- Peter only says he’s kidding when Danny is the one talking. Danny says “to quit is to fail, to fail is to-” and Peter cuts him off before he can go on and i don’t think this is because Peter’s annoyed with him

- “tell her to change it!” no Sam that’s not how we do things, shut up “ASK her to change it” 

- honorable mentions of SpideyTiger: Ava puts her finger under Peter’s chin and says, “yeah, use that Parker Charm”

- MJ is a fucking QUEEN

- Peter doesn’t level his LookTM at Danny, he levels it at Luke, then pauses and goes after MJ

- the look on his face when he says “and talk about incompetant” like that’s the last thing he wants to say about Danny them

- wasn’t the building just full of people? and NO ONE thought to alert the authorities?

- the first one(s) Peter thinks about when the team doesn’t answer his backup call is Danny (and Luke)

- see, all the Sam/Nova bashing? i’m not okay with that as a precursor for a ship in this case

- honorable mentions of poly!team: they’re all so freaking protective of each other and it’s really cute

- idk if this makes sense to anyone else, but 90% of the time, the first one to follow Peter into battle is Danny

- Beetle shoots lazers in Danny’s direction and Peter’s immediate response is to blind him and shout “bad Beetle, bad!”

- at the “end” of the battle, Peter touches down next to Danny and says “how awesome are we?” while looking directly at Danny

- 90% of the time, Danny is also at Peter’s back when they or the team is standing together

- headcanon: Danny’s the one who asked for Fury to shut JJJ up

S1E17 Snow Day: 

- the prank the team pulled on Peter was kinda fucked up, but also really cute

- “not bad” “i have found harmony”

- given positioning of the team before Peter was splashed, Danny struck first. Peter smiles when he gets splashed by Danny

- Danny was frustrated with Luke who knocked over the sand castle thing, but not Peter who threw the ball

- Danny serves to Peter specifically in the volleyball scene

- the entire team getting freaked out about the kid

- Luke is the biggest of the team and therefore perfect to hide behind

- Danny emerges from behind Luke with Peter seconds behind him

- Danny and Peter stand side by side when the team is back to back and when the team is retreating to the jet. Danny and Peter are also desposited from the sand to be standing side by side

- Danny is more concerned with what’s going on around him than what’s happening with the sand

- “copy me” “totally copied. to EVERONE” mans wants his boyfriend in on the fun but doesn’t want to openly admit how gone he is

- Danny is the one Peter talks to when he comes upon the rest of the group, instead of all three of his teammates

- “he noticed” pffft, yeah he did

- “Iron Fist, he cannot get back to dry land!” Danny knows exactly what this means and exactly what to do with one sentence from Peter, again implying familiarity we haven’t seen with the rest of the team

- Peter doesn’t doubt Danny will know exactly what to do. Peter has to explain things to the other members of the team, he doesn’t have to explain a thing to Danny

S1E18 Damage: 

- Peter says Danny’s name first when introducing the team

- “Iron Fist, grab a kid!” he grabs two

- Danny’s the only who doesn’t stop Peter from talking, despite being right next to him and in prime position to do so, so Sam actively reaches around Danny to stop Peter from talking

- the camera zooming out from Fury’s face shows Danny and Peter only instead of the whole team. the series does this a lot

- JJJ is unnecessarily obsessed with Spiderman being a bad person

- honoable mentions of powerspideyfist: when the team is leaning down to look at the now-shrunken Sam, Danny settles between Luke and Peter, unnecessarily close to both and way too close to be “just friends”

- the above also counts towards spideyfist

- Danny being the one the team trusts with the shrink thing. why? Ava would shrink Peter if given half a chance while Peter’s annoying her and Luke may be smart but he’s also a brute force guy, so he probably doesn’t aim well (yet). Sam’s too small right now and we saw what happened when Peter used the damn thing. 

- the team doesn’t set off Peter’s Spider-Sense despite all being pretty dangerous in their own rights and their own ways which i think speaks volumes to how he feels about them

- Danny asking actual questions in order to better understand when Peter’s running a theory

- also, Fury seems to be the acting guardian for Danny, Ava, Sam, and Luke because they all seem so worried about disappointing him. hmm, this give me ideas...

- when Peter gets stuck on Mack and wants to push further, Luke and Danny offer an alternate way to investigate and Ava and Sam just get angry. another reason i ship what i ship

- “i’ll figure this out out myself” as in he’s had hunches before and the team has listened and gone along with it, which leads me to believe that Fury’s yelling at them is the reason they aren’t going along with it this time

- the little fix-it bots in Mack’s office are so cute!

- sighs honorable NovaSpidey mentions: Sam was the one to follow Peter when Peter went to Mack’s office

- in the thought bubble with Sam’s feet, Peter is literally standing DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF Danny as if protecting him from a threat

- also correct me if i’m wrong, but Peter has only ever refered to Sam Alexander by “Nova” if they aren't in school

- Danny’s the first one who wants to apologize when he’s realized he was wrong about things

- the team-ups are cute

- in the finale battle, Danny punches one of the bad guys and right after, it’s Peter’s turn. which i’m counting just because it’s cute and suggests that one always follows the other

- and Danny and Peter are standing next to each other after a battle again

S1E19: Home Sick Hulk

- no notable interactions, Danny’s not in this episode

- HOWEVER, Peter admits to taking care of four teammates, so have the headcanon that is Danny being sick and Peter looking after him because the rest are absolutely USELESS at taking care of sicknesses unless it’s their own

S1E20 Run Pig Run: 

- poor Peter, he gets run over all the time as both Peter Parker and Spiderman

- “i thought about it, but not even i am that merciless” this version of Loki is literally a whiney teenager who’s planned revenge for fun, which is hilarious to me

- i remember first watching this episode and wondering why the hunters wouldn’t just call the hunt off when too many people came to the “hog’s” defense, but as i’m older and more experienced and understanding, i understand the Asgaurdian custom and tradition to be followed

- “and that of your young warrior friends, you will be properly protected” translation: “bitch you can’t protect a fly in your condition, get your ass in the school”

- the SECOND there’s a threat everyone is dropping everything and defending Peter and i love that for the team

- Flash hid in a fucking locker of all places. mans is an idiot i swear

- the Flash joke is hilarious

- Danny doesn’t yank Peter out of the way, he literally covers Peter with his body to protect him. (me: smiling and blushing and having a fluff-induced minor freak-out)

- Peter expresses discomfort with being held and Danny puts him down

- Danny held on to Peter so long he actually had to put him down

- Peter’s standing beside Danny on the ship

- “convince them to be vegitarian” Danny’s never actually joked during battle before. wonder who he learned it from coughcoughSpidermancoughcough

- Loki starts going after Peter’s team and Peter demands Loki take up his grievances with Peter

Rewatching Nightmare

Welcome to “Visions of Holy Roleplay and Sausages on Sticks: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!

 Up today, s1e14: Nightmare

  Sammy’s having visions again and they’re coming in the day and they hurt. It’s gonna be fine, though, because Dean said so. Turns out the visions this time are all about one family whose members are being picked off horribly one by one. Sam and Dean contact them by donning some A+ priest outfits, the boys argue a good deal about Sam’s visions and what they mean, and it turns out what’s happening to the family is way more sinister and disturbing and complicated than they first thought. In the end, Dean assures Sam that he won’t ever turn into a monster while he’s got Dean, and we are left heartbroken over the thought of baby!Dean not having anyone to be a “Dean” for him.

 Below is a log of our real-time reactions as we watched. Remember that there may be spoilers for any part of SPN’s 15-season run here.  Note also that the nature of our conversation is adult and thus it may contain adult language and themes.
