THE BENEFITS OF IVERMECTIN. IF YOU HAVE CANCER, FREQUENT COLD OR INFECTIONS, MUSCLE SHRINKAGE, CARDIAC ISSUES, CROHNS, HERPES, ETC.
The study was published in the Cureus Journal of Medical Science. LET'S TALK ABOUT IVERMECTIN 1 – Ivermectin prevents the damage caused to RNA Vaccines. 2 – Ivermectin blocks the entry of Spike Protein into cells. So, if the person was vaccinated with COVID, they have hope, they have a way to treat themselves through Ivermectin. 3 – Ivermectin is a treatment after Covid and after vaccination, it is an effective medicine in all phases of Covid 19, even before entering the cell, Ivermectin already destroys the virus in the blood. It only has beneficial effects and no harmful effects in the treatment of the coronavirus. 4 – Ivermectin has a very powerful anti-inflammatory action against Coronavirus. 5 – Ivermectin has a powerful action for traumatic and orthopedic injuries, it strengthens muscles and has no side effects like corticosteroids. 6 – Ivermectin treats autoimmune ailments such as: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, psoriasis, Crohn's disease, allergic rhinitis. 7 – Ivermectin reduces the frequency of flu and colds. 8 – Ivermectin improves the immunity of cancer patients. 9 – Ivermectin treats Herpes Simplex and Herpes Zoster. 10 – Ivermectin reduces the frequency of sinusitis and diverticulitis. 11 – Ivermectin protects the heart in cardiac overload, in an embolism for example, it prevents cardiac hypoxia because it stimulates the production of basic energy so that the tissue is not destroyed and thus improves cardiac function. 12 – Ivermectin is antiparasitic. 13 – Ivermectin is anti-neoplastic (anti-cancer), it suppresses the proliferation and metastasis of cancer cells, only killing cancer cells and preserving healthy cells, improving the effectiveness of chemotherapy treatment, as it kills cancer cells resistant to chemotherapy, defeating the resistance to multiple chemotherapeutics that tumors develop, and combined with chemotherapy and/or anti-cancer agents, it provides an increase in the effectiveness of these treatments. 14 – Ivermectin is antimicrobial (bacteria and viruses), and increases immunity. 15 – Ivermectin reaches the Central Nervous System and regenerates the nerves. 16 – Ivermectin regulates glucose and insulin metabolism. 17 – Ivermectin regulates cholesterol metabolism. 18 – Ivermectin reduces liver fat in steatose. 19 – Ivermectin protects the liver exposed to insecticides. 20 – Ivermectin attacks the virus wherever it is, regardless of mutations. 21 – Ivermectin serves for the prevention and treatment of coronavirus, surprisingly. Unproven efficacy is not of Ivermectin, but of vaccines. 22 – Ivermectin, used as a prophylactic agent, was associated with a significant reduction in infection, hospitalization and mortality rates due to COVID-19. 23 - Ivermectin does not attack the liver, since it is not metabolized in it, and if in the intestine, on the contrary, it protects the liver.

A mod post for a moment
If you have an std or an sti I want to make it clear: this blog supports you.
You are not dirty or wrong or any sort of irrelevant, degrading adjective people normally apply. You are still you, you are still a good person
And if you don't have an std/sti:
You need to grow the fuck up and wear a condom, even if you can't get knocked up.
I support people with stds and stis on this blog.

Since this is my only anonymous social out there:
People need to know that there is a rare COVID complication that can cause genital ulcers that look like herpes.
I don’t have much of a sexual history (thanks purity culture!) I have a faithful partner. So when I get COVID this time and it coincides with discomfort in the genital area, first I wonder if I cut myself shaving. Maybe it’s an ingrown hair. After a day or two I get down there with the mirror and well… theres a vulvar ulcer, and a couple other herpes-looking spots. Of course I have to spend some time googling in a private browser to even know what a “herpes looking” spot is. Much googling later I learn that this is a potential very rare COVID complication that is possibly under-diagnosed. I did see one case that involved penile ulcers, but it does seem more prevalent in vulva-possessing folks.
Just to be sure went to the doctor once I finally tested negative for COVID to ensure all was healing well, went through the whole “I know you think it’s herpes, I am certain it is not herpes, by all means test me. Also here are peer-reviewed articles I found about COVID and genital ulcers.” Thankfully I go to a cool clinic and they listened to me, brought up the research right there and were like “oh, wow… yeah, okay this is a thing. Thanks for telling us. If your swab comes back negative we’ll just assume this is it. Also, sorry, that sucks, hope you feel better.”
Anyway, the swab finally came back (apparently it only took 2 days, they just never sent me the results until I asked) and it is negative. So, not remotely as sucky as long COVID and similar complications, but possibly the suckiest of temporary COVID complications one can get.
So, yet another reason to take precautions, wear masks, etc. protect your bits!

sorry if this is a weird ask or it doesn’t really fit into the blogs vibe but I have a form of herpes that I obtained when I was very little (probably through sharing drinks with family) but it only flares up once every few months on my mouth. Like, only on my mouth. People often ask what the sores are when I get them and whenever I explain that it’s herpes they assume I’m gross and unclean. Do you have any tips on how to explain it to others in an easier way? I normally just say it as it is but there are a lot of biases despite me not obtaining the virus via sex and its very annoying to receive judgement and I feel when I explain I make it worse
I think this' a fair addition to the theme of the blog. Thank you for trusting me to answer!
Well, Anon, here's the thing; you could explain you have a disease that causes regular sores on your mouth, that you obtained in a very rare fashion. You could tell them it's called the simplex virus, which is not untrue and that it unfortunately does not have a cure.
You can sometimes even just tell them you've got a rare disease that causes sores and leave it at that.
I imagine a lot of people would react a lot better to that. Simply by leaving off that it's herpes often helps tone down judgement in cases like that.
But I do want to point out that people who assume you're gross and unclean because you have herpes aren't usually people you'd want around you.
That's a very bigoted attitude and the idea that they'd treat other people like that, simply because of the virus' association with sex [which should not be a bad thing], makes it sound like they have some issues they personally need to work through.
You can avoid being the target of that judgement and it makes sense you would want to! It's very exhausting to be treated like that.
But you can't erase that they are judgmental in that way and that often becomes an issue in many other ways.
That's not me saying you can't hang around those people. I just think I'd feel bad not making sure you're aware of that.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions. <3

The virus behind the common cold sore could put people at greater risk of Alzheimer's disease. A long-term study of more than a thousand 70-year-olds in Sweden has now found those exposed to the herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) face double the risk of developing dementia. The association stuck regardless of the two strongest known predictors of Alzheimer's disease today: age and a genetic variant called APOE-4. The findings are the latest to suggest that some common viral infections may be a neglected source of cognitive decline.

saw in your bio you’re researching infectious reptile diseases—that sounds cool as hell! which diseases specifically?
My research is in herpesviruses! I can’t give you the exact species I’m studying, but my interest is in how herpes viruses have been evolving alongside reptiles as well as mammals for millions of years.
Even among some very crafty pathogens, herpes stands out as the single most cunning family of viruses in the world (imo at least). They can evade immune systems, control populations, and basically bend ecosystems to their will. All without having the presence of mind to “intend” to do any of that. Herpes viruses are insanely interesting

There's a lot of stigma associated with STIs like herpes. Here are some things you can do to help fight it:
Add “people with STIs, including herpes” to your mental list of groups that face discrimination (like GLBT folks, people with disabilities, women, Muslims, African Americans, Latino Americans, etc). Recognize their struggle and support them when you see discrimination happening.
Take a stand against herpes or other STI jokes that would make someone who has it feel ashamed or uncomfortable. Step in and say, "Dude, that’s not funny. How would you feel?"
Pay attention to language. Pay attention to metaphors like monster, leper, and dirty or clean. Try to stop using them yourself, and try to get your friends to stop as well.
Pay attention to stereotypes. Correct people when they try to say that being a slut means you probably have herpes, or that people with herpes are liars and cheaters.
Tell your story. If you have herpes, it may be too scary or too risky to come out about having herpes in public or to your friends and family. But you can share your story anonymously either online or using a pen name. Share your experience to help dispel the myths about herpes, and to let others know that they are not alone and that herpes is not the end of the world.
If you’re in college, investigate your health center and on campus sex ed resources. Pay attention to how they talk about herpes and whether or not their approach is reinforcing or rejecting stigma. If you don’t like what you see, try to change it.

If you are HSV positive (including having only "cold sores"), I highly recommend taking a daily antiviral. There is increasing evidence that HSV increases the risk of dementia or cognitive decline. However, antivirals seem to be protective against this outcome.
As an added bonus, you shed fewer viral particles and thus greatly lower the chance of infecting others—which can occur via casual contact like sharing food. Even when you are asymptomatic!
I've often found it surprising how few people are on an antiviral regimen given how common it is to be HSV positive (approximately 1 in 6 people age 14 to 49 in the US).
This 2021 review covers the evidence surrounding HSV's association with increased risk of dementia as well as "the apparent protective effects of treatment of HSV1 infection or of VZV infection with antivirals prior to the onset of dementia".
More recent study (2022) in the Korean population that shows increased incidence of dementia in individuals with HSV1.
Notable Nature paper (2021) which failed to find association with dementia. However, the authors still found an increase of "cognitive decline".
When the 2021 review says "overwhelming evidence", they mean it. There are many studies which have shown this association which I will not repost so check out their references if you are interested.

Okay this is a question mainly to other spoonies, but if you experience this as a non-spoonie I’ll gladly hear you out.
I have herpes simplex, the kind that causes a cold sore or two in or around my mouth when I get too stressed. Very normal, very common, very annoying. But the thing is, it absolutely wrecks me every single time it flares up.
The first time it surfaced doctors didn’t know what it was until I was bedridden. It started as a cluster of sores inside my mouth, and within a week my whole mouth, throat and lips were covered in the most painful sores I’ve ever experienced. My temperature was through the roof, I couldn’t speak or eat. It took me two weeks of rest, heavy medication and a bottle of lidocaine spray to get through it. I couldn’t eat anything solid for a week, my whole mouth was inflamed. Water felt like acid without the lidocaine.
After that it resufraced every month, and I got preventative medication for six months. I had no problems with it for a long time, but recently it’s made a comeback. Fever, headaches, a cold sore or two, trouble regulating body temperature, nausea, aches and pains all over, zero energy. Yesterday I took a five-hour nap. The regular meds, five pills in a day for five days, are very ineffective. Can’t get on preventative medication again because they don’t give you the prescription before you’ve proved you’ve had it every month again for half the year.
Does anyone else experience this? I’ve never heard of anyone else struggling with a case of herpes simplex this bad. I need a support group…

Let's normalize people who have the Herpes Simplex Virus. As long as we don't have an outbreak, we can't pass it on. It pretty much remains dormant. I have HSV-2. Let's talk.
