It's wild to realize that the full-scale war started by ruzzia has been going on for 1000 days already..
1000 days of nightmares, 1000 days of people dying and whole towns, villages, cities getting destroyed by missiles, drones and bomba, 1000 days of war crimes that ruzzia commits, 1000 days of Ukrainians being detained in ruzzian prisons and treated worse than animals, 1000 days of Ukrainian children being kidnapped and taken to ruzzia to change their identity and destroy their connection to the place and culture they were born in, 1000 days of unimaginable horrors in region under total occupation, 1000 days of genocide of Ukrainian people and our culture.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 700 libraries have been destroyed or damaged in Ukraine.
Russia struck Ukraine’s major printing press, Faktor-Druk in Kharkiv, killing at least 5 employees among the 7 dead & 20 injured. Kharkiv is the heart of Ukraine’s publishing industry. This attack on culture underscores the genocidal nature of Russia’s war. Factor-print was bombed exactly one week before the Book Arsenal (book festival), just when dozens of publishing novelties were being rushed to print. The bombing was aimed at preventing these books from being published, at preventing Ukrainians from having book fairs - for a quarter of a century, the Russians had managed to silence them using other methods, and now that they have started to find their feet, they are using bombs and missiles. And all for the sake of the "great Russian culture". Forcing people to read this literature because of the absence of destroyed Ukrainian literature. My deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the Vivat publishing house (the bookshop belongs to them).

Are you fucking stupid? How tf are individual artists from Russia, often ones who are oppressed by Putin's regime themselves eg because they're queer (as many people on tumblr are including one of the Russian artists whom I know personally) responsible for the actions of their government? Obviously I stand with Ukraine but you CANNOT use a dictator's actions as an excuse for xenophobia. That's bullshit
Hey! You are so brave for writing this anonymously☹️☹️💗
So umm, here's the thing! I am not a xenophobe! I am a victim of genocide that is being committed against my country and my people! Against me too!
And hey! I can hate my agressor! Because THEY are destroying my home and because of them my life was ruined! Wanna know how? I had to leave my home forever! I had to live under russian occupation, had to sit at home for three whole months, had to turn off every light as soon as the it got dark outside! I had to live in the cold ass basement! I hate to sleep sitting up for several days in a row with my nervous dog in my hands and i could do it only when my mom wasn't asleep!
I had to watch russian occupants in the eye when i was leaving my hometown, again, for like... forever!😚
I had to hear shelling every night and day! I had to hide my ukrainian language in my phone and delete all of my information from my phone so i wouldn't get shot!!!
I would think how am i, a 15 year old, will be saving my brother, if something happens to my mom! I would think for every day after that: do i got what it takes? If the russians WERE SHOOTING AT US would i protect my little 10 y.o. brother?
BUT HEEEY of course not all of them are bad! Of course you know some good russians:)
I am not dumb for hating people who fucked me up SO BADLY that i still can't leave my house (which i will have to leave behind, just as my hometown too) that i still get scared at the sound of thunder and planes!
If they are oppressed, please, let them be my guest and do something about it, but i do not fucking care. Queer doesn't equal good, too, actually, so your comment about that doesn't make any sense
Dictators actions didn't kill them! But his actions and their silence OR support kill my people. Hey, do you read news? Yesterday a man had to bury his whole family because of "dictators actions"
You know what's bullshit? You telling me what i can and can't do, meanwhile i still suffer every day, and my friends and my family too, because of russia
I don't want to know about them, i do not care about them, i don't want to hear about them. In my eyes they made ukrainian's life a living hell. And world doesn't care about this and tries to clear their name
Shut up and listen what victims have to say, you illiterate fuck
Sorry for the rude comment😚 fucking stupid of me to know what's really happening
My dear western friends! Do not act like this individual here:) listen to ukrainians!!
OR if you do think like this anonymous PLEASE DNI, i don't want you here
Xoxo

to counteract that stupid ass post going around:
I'm Ukrainian and jewish and I have never in my life supported israel because i know that there can be no be mercy for colonisers no matter who they are. I lived through occupation and I lived among "civilians who don't deserve it" (russians who moved into occupied territories to take over businesses, institutions, houses, which is what israelis have been doing for DECADES). and let me tell you it was pure hell and I'm happy that liberation of Palestine is happening.
From the river to the sea Palestine going to be free! 🇵🇸 Real Ukrainians stand with Palestine and support the heroes who fight against colonisers!

It has never been easy and it will never be easy. Not since 2014, not since 2022, but the last few days have been terrible. It's constant anxiety, constant death. You wake up, have breakfast, read the news. The largest polygraphy complex(factor druk) in Ukraine was hit. 7 dead, 20 wounded. 50,000 books burned. Destruction of libraries with books that will no longer be printed. More missiles, more deaths of Ukrainians. You cry, you donate to bring the country closer to victory. And these are your "best years of life". The next morning you wake up. You read the news, cry again, and your psyche just can't take the constant stress. You work and study. Then you go on with your life, realising that people are dying defending Ukraine so that YOU can live. In the evening, you open the news or social media, it doesn't matter. And again, everything is about death. The attack on the shopping centre on Saturday. Just the time when hundreds of people go shopping! What for? To kill more people? Yes, because Russians love mass murder of civilians, it's their favourite thing to do. Again you donate, again you cry, again you tell yourself that you have to live on. You can't give up. There is no such option as giving up. Let Ukraine win

These terrible photos show a Ukrainian, Roman Gorylyk, after two years in russian captivity.
Roman and 74 other prisoners were returned from russian torture chambers on 31.05.2024 as part of a prisoner of war exchange, although he did not take part in hostilities.
Roman is a senior checkpoint controller at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. He and the other 168 National Guardsmen who guarded the Chornobyl nuclear power plant were literally taken hostage by the russians and taken from Ukraine through Belarus in March 2022.
89 of them are still being held captive, and the russian side is using them to exchange them for russian soldiers captured in battle.

If you feel the need to note that not all Russians support the war every time the topic is raised while at the same time not feeling the need to note that not all Israelis support the invasion of Gaza, then you show a clear bias and shouldn't be allowed to speak on the matter.

Once again ruzzian terrorists attacked Ukraine
They used a mix of ballistic and supersonic missiles
The following images and video footage are from Kyiv, you can imagine what other cities that have been hit look like
Everything that has been deemed a target by ruzzians is a residential building or is an area near residential buildings

Keep talking about Ukraine, keep supporting Ukraine, and most importantly don't forget that ruzzia is doing terrorist acts and destroying us because we are Ukrainian

Finland seizes Russian state-owned property
Finland's National Enforcement Authority has begun seizing properties in Helsinki that belong to the Russian state. The agency operates under the remit of the Justice Ministry and is responsible for undertaking the state's statutory enforcement duties.
The seizure of the property is related to compensation claims made by the Ukrainian state-owned gas firm Naftogaz. Naftogaz has demanded more than five billion euros in compensation from Russia following the Kremlin's invasion of Crimea in 2014 and the firm's subsequent loss of gas reserves, pipelines, and warehouses in the Crimea region.
Full article by YLE
According to Helsingin Sanomat, 44 properties have been seized, most of them located in Helsinki. The seized properties include the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, an office building, four waterfront properties, and several limited liability housing shares.
According to Iltalehti, in Finland, Naftogaz are represented HPP Attorneys, pro bono.
"This is something that we feel is important and we want to play our part in helping Ukraine. We felt that this is a meaningful way for us to help."

after two long years Ukraine is making major gains even after a massive slog in the south, it's the first major land invasion of Russia since the second world war! The funny thing is that Ukraine is abiding by international standards and not committing war crimes, not only that but there has been no major protests nir armed resistance against Ukraine troops in the kurk region and my best guest is that any people who would have fought are evacuating but then why wouldn't they do anything something like Ukraine citizens did during the invasion of their territory? With all that said however this is a major advantage for Ukraine for PR and negotiations, any talk going forward are no longer about begging but real negotiations since Russia risks losing territory. Wjth the November US election this kursk offensive this might also impact military aid in a positive way, despite pro-russia pundits crying about Ukraine's use of western weapons.
