romanians pls help me

this is probably gonna sound wild but i am desperately looking for somebody from romania who would be interested in helping me in a little historical research! i'm doing a university paper on the 70s poet Daniela Caurea but, as you can imagine, all the sources outside of romania are terribly scarce and limited. so far i've been working with google translate but even that limits me and often times proves to be of great hindrance.

what i would need help with is finding her poems and translating them/summarizing them into english, as well as finding whatever additional information about her there is. it would also be a great help to know the contemporary romanian's society view of her!

why i'm writing about her is that i recently found some old letters she used to exchange with my czechoslovak grandfather. i wanna connect all the historical dots of the early 70s era with what she says in her letters, what my grandpa writes in his diaries, and ideally with her poems.

i'll provide more info in a dm, so if you're romanian (or speak romanian almost fluently) and are interested, please shoot me a message!!!!

The régimes she mentioned all have weaknesses which can lead to collapse.

When people claim that Russia is too strong to fail, they display historical illiteracy by overlooking how Russia's predecessor, the Soviet Union, collapsed in four months in 1991.

Iran has been weakened by the collapse of a friendly régime in Syria and the evisceration of its ally Hezbollah in Lebanon. Its supreme leader is now 85 and its previous president was killed in a helicopter crash in May.

Venezuela, a petrostate which once had the highest per capita income in South America, is now a basket case economically. Almost a quarter of the population has fled in recent years.

North Korea is a hereditary communist monarchy which relies on sending arms & troops to Russia and cyber thievery for income – with most of the proceeds going to party leaders.

Having a ruthless ruler who tries to sound tough does not make a country strong.

Autocrats may seem impregnable until something ignites a spark which abruptly undermines their impregnability.

My favorite historical example is Romania. In just over a week, Nicolae Ceaușescu went from being an absolute ruler to having been overthrown and executed by a popular revolution which most Romanians thought was impossible.

Ce este "eroarea cognitivă" / "prejudecata cognitivă" pe înțelesul tuturor:

Biasul cognitiv este ca o "scurtătură" pe care creierul nostru o folosește pentru a lua decizii mai rapid. În loc să analizeze totul pe îndelete, creierul simplifică lucrurile, dar asta poate duce la greșeli de gândire. Adesea, nici nu ne dăm seama că suntem influențați de aceste scurtături. Sunt ca niște "capcane" pe care creierul le folosește pentru a simplifica realitatea. Ele ne ajută să gândim rapid, dar uneori ne fac să luăm decizii greșite fără să ne dăm seama.

Exemple simple de bias cognitiv:

Biasul de confirmare:

Căutăm doar informații care ne dau dreptate și ignorăm ce ne contrazice.

Dacă tu crezi că ciocolata este sănătoasă, vei căuta articole care spun că este bună și vei ignora articolele care spun că nu e chiar așa de sănătoasă.

Biasul de negativitate:

Ne concentrăm mai mult pe lucrurile rele decât pe cele bune.

Dacă primești zece comentarii la o postare pe internet, dintre care nouă sunt pozitive și unul e negativ, te vei gândi toată ziua doar la acel comentariu negativ.

Biasul de disponibilitate:

Creierul nostru crede că lucrurile care ne vin ușor în minte sunt cele mai comune.

Dacă auzi la știri că a avut loc un accident de avion, s-ar putea să te gândești că accidentele de avion sunt foarte frecvente, chiar dacă ele sunt, de fapt, rare.

Efectul de ancorare:

Prima informație pe care o auzim ne influențează toate deciziile viitoare.

Dacă mergi la cumpărături și vezi un telefon scump redus de la 5000 la 4000 de lei, s-ar putea să crezi că e o afacere bună, chiar dacă prețul redus e tot mare.
