Subclasseptember, day 4: Taunter Archetype!
This one was a silly thing I thought of a few days ago, a rogue that actually wants to be attacked.
Not much more to say, simple concept, simple execution, probably underpowered.

Rogue subclasses are pretty simple and fun to make. One thing that I like about rogues is that they can be very versatile and unique from one another. They are more specialists than anything, and they don't have to be thieves or criminals.
This subclass if for a bounty hunter like character archetype, and adds a new weapon/damage mechanic: traps, which can do a variety of damage as well as status effects once activated. Additionally, the bounty hunter gets proficiency with nets and heavy crossbows.

companions re-classed part 3 - shadowheart 🌌🌚🌝
*shadowdancer isn't a 5e rogue subclass, it's a 3.5e rogue-based prestige class, but it suits her so well and when i played 3.5e as a kid i thought it was the coolest thing ever lol so i wanted to use it

This is actually so cool! The Malignant effect for Abyss Cane is missing a duration though.
Perfect sneaky poisoner archetype!

The Serpent's Fang - Homebrew Rogue Subclass by Nines, v1.0
Not all who kill strike from the shadows. To know the body is to know life and death in equal measure.
Playing around with a pseudo-Vancian casting mechanic here. You can prepare you concoctions for the day, but you can choose whether you want to heal or to harm with them as necessary.
Another subclass for the upcoming monster-based book.

Yes yes I need to finish my research, write my thesis, attend my courses but what if, hear me out, I spent every waking moment writing a DND campaign set in Gotham City with a fully stat-ed out batfamily ??
Did anyone consider this might be a better use of my time ??

Sharing another full subclass with the new layout and updates. I also made some alterations to the cover with a new title graphic and a fuller view of the drow rogue in front.
Enjoy!
Some subclasses have minor layout changes with small revisions but some have went through quite a bit more scrutiny.
EDIT: I have eyes on this lately so I've updated it slightly. Support me on Ko-Fi for more homebrew content!

This subclass is for an acrobat character, focusing on mobility, movement, jumping, climbing, and reducing damage.

Roguish Archetype: Opportunist
Hey folks! This took an unreasonable amount of time to get done. I’ve returned to my roots for an easy project with a conversion of a Pathfinder prestige class. Writing it out was pretty simple, but it took forever to get with my brew buddy to get it looked at due to some unfortunate circumstances that I won’t elaborate on for privacy reasons. But then it took even longer to get the final…

So, full honesty, ever since early access I have grown less and less interested in baldur’s gate 3 the more I heard about it, but something I’ve just realised that really bothers me is that there are no psionic subclasses available despite being implanted with a mindflayer tadpole at the start of the game.
I understand that there are way too subclasses, races and other assorted player options to integrate in one game and expect it to actually be released any time soon and also that if larian needs to trim the available subclasses it makes sense to stick to the phb ones because they are the most familiar to existing players and already designed to be newbie friendly but seriously?! In the game where the main driving force of the plot is being slowly transformed into a psychic squidward clone, I can’t build my character around psionics?!
What bullshit is this?! >:(

I think the age-old question of how to get the bad kids and the seven into a season together without it being a production nightmare could be solved with a little compromise.
Instead of having all twelve of them in the dome at a time, the best thing to do would be to split both groups in half by keeping the seating arrangement continuity!
In group A you have the left side of The Seven table (Antiope, Katja, and Penny) and the right side of The Bad Kids table (Fabian, Kristen, and Riz).
And then, in group B, you have the left side of the Bad Kids table (Fig, Gorgug, and Adaine) and the right side of The Seven table (Danielle, Ostentatia, and Sam)!
Have it be a twenty-episode season like Neverafter so each group gets ten-ish episodes to complete their part of the quest with the first and last episodes being the ones with everyone in them, somehow.
In my mind, episode one would start with the bad kids and then they'd switch over to the seven, only for them to come together for the last half hour. And the same thing, only reverse for the finale. I think that could work while keeping production sane.

was thinking about leverage dnd classes and i think the obvious choice for sophie is bard, but i don't think that's quite right, because her whole thing is that she's NOT a very good actor. she's not an Artist, she's a grifter. i think one of the reasons why sophie struggles with acting is because then the goal is art/self-expression/a desire to communicate with and be seen by the world (something she has a whole crisis about) while the goal of grifting more readily aligns with her own (facilitating a con). like bards are ultimately a class that's about supporting/"inspiring" others through creative endeavors (getting stronger by improving your craft), while other charisma casters like warlocks are about power and ambition (getting stronger by selling your soul); but i think sophie's talents are closest to those of sorcerers, whose powers are more innate and something to be learned to be controlled. sophie's struggle isn't that she's not good enough at her job, but that maybe she's TOO good at it to the point she doesn't know who she is, and that her powers may in fact hurt others. if anything, she's a sorcerer carrying around a lute and charming her audience into clapping for her when her performance flops
