Visited some relatives and ended up playing Risk with my cousins.

I mostly sat there drawing fanart of my infantry while the youngest cousin waged war on every single territory he could access.

One of my favorite things about Risk is watching the players slowly devolve into ruthless warlords. Everyone starts off pleasantly sitting around the table, but after the first hour not a single person can be seen in a chair. Soon, insults are flying every time someone picks up the dice. It somehow always ends in Australia. Family bonds have been broken. It’s been 3 hours. Truly one of the best board games of all time.

But what if our world is just one big simulation and we're all pawns in some sick twisted reverse board game of RISK but for Cryptids playing our universe?

I would love to share how I found peace in my life after dealing with the challenges of cyberbullying. It’s incredible to reflect on how far I’ve come, especially considering everything I have been through. For a long time, peace felt like a distant dream as I hid myself to protect my heart from the pain of bullying. Recently, I started receiving uplifting messages about my future from my spirit guides, which have given me a spark of joy that I thought I had lost. Realizing how crucial it is to be selective about who I let into my life and circle of friends. The right relationships can uplift us, while the wrong ones can bring negativity and stress. Discovering the truth was my path to freedom, showing me that hiding was not the solution. My journey with depression is awful, and I know what it feels like to be targeted, to face lies, threats, and attempts to silence me. But here is the positive aspect: I have emerged from this experience! I learned through therapy how to stand up for myself against those who think they can possess me or use my past against me. Peace has become the foundation of my life, and I treasure it. I find strength in saying no to those who try to take advantage of me. Now is the time to stop staying in the shadows. I choose to embrace new opportunities. If anyone attempts to hurt me, I will block or timeout you. Like a sunrise bringing a fresh start, I am building my peaceful life and stepping forward with optimism and enthusiasm! I wanna express my sincere gratitude to all the incredible individuals who have stood by me throughout this journey. Your support has made all the difference, and I appreciate every one of you. Frankly, I appreciate your encouragement; it means so much to me! I am genuinely thankful for the positive changes I have experienced. This chapter is crucial in my journey, learning that when one opportunity fades, another emerges. He likes the strategy that’s involved

It boosts his ego whenever he wins

But he doesn’t want anyone to give him the win

He gets turned on whenever he feels like he’s in control of a situation, and this is no exception

Game nights normally end in sex if he does well

His favorite people to play against are Dwayne and Star, bc they’re the only two patient enough to see the game through AND play well

Michael tries, for David’s sake, but the poor dude has issues with tunnel vision that normally cost him

Paul and Marko start off interested, but are always the first two out

Paul gets bored and diverts his attention to bugging Marko

Marko quits so he can start getting back at Paul

David keeps a vintage version of the game on display in his nest from the first decade it was released

Loves himself a mystery

Everyone else switches which color they are everytime they play

But Dwayne can and WILL bite a chunk out of you if you try to steal professor plum

Nobody knows why he’s so obsessed with it

He doesn’t either but thinks it’s funny to pretend he has some deep dark secret connected to it

ONLY will play with the og map

Marko tried to get him to play the board walk side and was met with silence

But only plays it the proper way 50% of the time

The other half of the time he plays it is the Smosh version

Where they don’t actually answer the question, you just try to make the other person laugh

He made a custom version of the game when Michael turned so he could learn about them and vice versa

He does really well on the science questions

But for some reason he can’t seem to remember any famous ppls names outside of bands

He can just get stoned out of his mind and focus on kicking everyone else’s ass

If it wasn’t such a straight forward game everyone would accuse him of cheating because he has literally lost 3 rounds ever

He ignored David for 3 days after he raged and smashed it while playing

He was fine after David stole him another one and some weed

He also loved the sounds of the ball falling

Alison knew full well when she bought it that she would be the one to play Risk with the Captain and whomever else he could convince dared to challenge him. Nine hours of taking orders. Phew! If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.

As for the ghosts:

Fanny would say “ladies don’t play war games.” All the while glaring at Alison.

Thomas would immediately declare it tedious and decline but stay in the room to keep Alison company in case she needs support.

Julian would be up for it but get caught cheating and forfeit. Deciding chess was more his speed.

Humphrey would pretend to be sleeping.

Pat would try to stick it out, but when Captain would start taking it too seriously, he would fake incompetence just to finish the game quickly.

Kitty would try to change the game into something “more fun …like Candyland.”

Only Robin would be left. Cunning, stubborn and under estimated, his most formidable opponent.

Friendly reminder not to buy Gameboy or DS games from GameStop now that they’re pushing the retro thing more because you have GameStop employees literally buying fake games and posting it online baffled that a person would accept a trade of only $100 for a bunch of bootleg games

Btw they were “missing crystal” because that’s the onlY GB Pokemon game where the shell can’t be reproduced so bootlegs are extra obvious

On Ashrah/Reptile and Kuai Liang/Harumi

I've noticed that most people feel like these two pairings need more backstory to make sense. As much as I enjoy the story overall... I agree. I feel like if they were fleshed out a bit more (What drew Reptile to Ashrah so soon after his family's death? We know how Kuai Liang felt, but what did Harumi find attractive about him?), more people would be open to them. The potential is there, but maybe the NRS writers weren't given the opportunity to spend much time developing these ships.

I actually have a Kuai Liang/Harumi fic that I've been working on, and eventually I'd like to write one for Ashrah/Reptile, too. Again, the potential is there. I feel like imagining the scope of what their motives could be will help me accept NRS's decisions more.

Anyways, I hope to start posting the first fanfic on here soon!
