Oven Temperature: 200-250F
Cool Time: 4-6 hours
The ideal is 200 for 6 hours, but you can vary within these ranges to match your timing needs and quirks of your oven. Before you start on the ribs, pre-heat your oven, and get a layer of tin foil on your baking tray long enough to place the ribs on, with a couple extra inches on each end. Put the ribs on this tray before continuing.
For your seasonings, you're gonna want salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. I also like to use cayenne pepper, but I only apply it to half for the sake of the spice intolerant. Now, here is the CRUCIAL aspect of making these ribs: you gotta fucking *smother* those things in seasoning. Do not apply your salt or pepper with a table grinder; get fine-grain salt and pre-ground pepper, and coat the ribs with em. Same for the others. By the time you finish with the paprika, you should not be able to *see* the meat under the layer of seasoning. I am not exaggerating. Start with the concave side of your ribs, then flip and season the other side. This is so the flat side isn't left sitting in juices that will wash off the seasoning.
Now, grab another sheet of tin foil. Using this and the extra tin foil you cleverly left for yourself at the start, you are going to cover the ribs and wrap them up *tight*. It doesn't need to be perfect, but you want to try and keep any juices from running out and onto the tray. Once this is done, put em in the oven and wait 4-6 hours.
It has been 4-6 hours! Your ribs are *almost* done. Take them out and open up the foil, but do it carefully so it can be resealed. Take your BBQ sauce and slather it on, then flip and repeat. (Flipping the ribs here is the one hard part, they will be too hot for your hands, and tongs will probably tear the meat off the bone. Try two spatulas, and be careful.) Seal the ribs back up, and cook for 15-20 more minutes. After that, you're done, and you have Erin's Delicious Ribs(TM) to eat!
OPTIONAL: Add some lemon juice as well when you put the BBQ sauce on. It takes a lot to be noticeable, but it has reviewed well.
