We finally explored the trails out behind my apartment and it was quite nice! There were other trails that break off from the main one, so we had plenty of variety in the walk. It’s gonna be hot all this week so I made it a point to get out early so we don’t die in the humid heat! Regardless we both worked up a good sweat and he loved chilling on the hardwood floor afterwards.

A reminder that I have the cutest and best dog ever!

I want to train her a bit more this year - she’s gotten really good at ignoring the chickens, coming when called, she’s great at “leave it” and pretty good at “wait,” and can ever kinda play “fetch” now, but I’d like to get her to walk better on a leash in public. She just gets excited so easily and that makes her distracted and she pulls. Dog training is hard, you have to be really consistent which I personally struggle with, but it’s amazing to see how much Treasure’s learned already. She only knew “sit” when I first got her! She’s the kind of dog who’s just so eager to please, so she’s a quick learner - it’s really me who struggles, haha! But she’s just such a wonderful friend, she goes everywhere with me and she’s always happy, she’s my perfect girl and my instant serotonin boost!

So, Dotty is going to be my new pup. I'm rescuing her from an owner who is not only under feeding her, but also uses a shock collar so often the skin under is raw and has become infected. The infection is minor and is being treated. Shes under weight, but thankfully not starving as she has a ton of energy.

Dotty is seriously just a baby! Shes only 6 months old & I am so filled with joy she'll be in my care...however I need help wherever I can. I'm paying for her transportation, medical bills, and training which adds up to a lot of extra cash I don't have right now.

I'm a psychic medium, tarot reader, and I also do spell work for folks. Those are my main ways of earning money & I'm willing to discuss deals! In Baltimore County, MD: Longest Term Dog Seeking Rescue or Adopter!

Baltimore County Animal Services currently has over 100 dogs in our care and are looking for help from rescues and adopters. Meatloaf is one of our longest term adoptable dogs, an estimated 2 year old, 62 pound Pit Bull that came to us as a stray. Meatloaf is a sweet and social guy that would like a home where he can be the only dog. Meatloaf is neutered, tested negative for heartworm, and is up to date on vaccines. Adopters are welcome to visit our adoptable pets 12pm-5pm Tuesdays-Sundays. If you are interested in pulling Meatloaf, or have any questions, please let us know!

I was suddenly overcome with the urge to draw a shelter dog I worked with years ago named Taffy. He was mischievous and didn’t really like other dogs, but he was a softie with me. Unfortunately, he passed away from cancer before he could find his forever home. At least I’m glad I helped make his last bit of time on earth full of love.

⚠️ SIGN to help our shelter dogs! ⚠️

🩵 At the moment, the Irish government is imposing a ban on XL Bully dogs. If you love dogs, please consider signing the petition to extend the rehoming of XL Bullies this October! 

🩵 “From October 1st 2024, new regulations will prohibit the importing, breeding, selling and RE-HOMING of XL Bullies.”  

🩵 Hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent dogs will be euthanised in shelters this October. If you agree with the ban, so be it, I will not argue with that. But the mass euthanasia that is about to take place is completely unnecessary and cruel. Shelters in Ireland do a fantastic job at rehoming rescue dogs and specific breeds to appropriate and responsible homes. There is simply no need to force shelters to euthanise these bully dogs when there are experienced people willing to rescue and train them. 

🩵 We are NOT advocating to stop the ban altogether. We are simply advocating to lift (or at least delay) the rehoming ban.
