It was only a matter of time before I made an overly detailed stained glass for KPDH. I saw this text post out in the wild

And I immediately thought of Rumi. Thus, this piece was created. I could ramble on about my feelings on this piece and speculation on her character, but that would be a long ass post, so I will restrain myself (for now) lol.

I'll always talk up internet radio stations because I don't think the average person is aware that they're free, can run in your browser (or in any program that can connect to them), work on your phone, run better than a youtube tab, and give you a much better selection of music than you could get from a general algorithmic playlist

I had to pause several times while drawing this just to giggle over it. A friend jokingly compared Jinu & Rumi to Edward & Bella (mostly cause of the supernatural age gap) and this scenario burned itself into my imagination. So, I had to draw it.

I keep thinking about an AU where everything goes how Rumi hoped. Her markings stay at bay long enough that it doesn’t affect her voice, the Saja Boys are never formed, her secret doesn’t get revealed, and they turn the Honmoon gold at the Idol Awards.

It’s everything she’s ever wanted. It’s what she has been working to her whole life.

The trio is riding on that high as they go to change out of their outfits and Rumi is excited to think that they won’t have to have separate dressing rooms after this.

But then she takes her jacket off and her marks are still there.

She panics, fumbling with her phone to call Celine. Rumi would normally preen at any kind of praise from Celine, but the congratulations on turning the Honmoon gold is only a punch to the chest.

The Honmoon is gold and it should have purified all the demons in their world. Rumi should be fixed, but she’s not.

Her light at the end of the tunnel doesn’t exist and everything was perfect until it wasn’t.
