Still The Most Shocking Second A Day (#SaveTheChildren by not bringing children into hell)
could save the children by not bringing babies into poverty in the first place and expecting other people to carry you. by manipulating them in advertisements when the kids are suffering because you had nothing better to do. but nobody's tryna have that conversation.
Some women have no reproductive rights, many get forced upon but most already know they live in hell on Earth. can barely feed yourselves and yet you propagate anyway, so saving the children wasn't enough of an ideal to not have children that will exist to suffer, creating more victims of a problem you know exists. But nobody is tryna have that conversation.
You have money to make ads to emotional appeal people to "save children" you could save by not bringing them into bad situations. Or use the money spent to make the ad & the ad revenue the companies take for themselves, to instead feed the kids, but nobody's tryna have that conversation.
Yall need to stop eating this up and ignoring the damning realities because “feels”.
So we can comment our profound statements on “war bad/Ukraine/Palestine, bla bla bla” , fact is, youre not pointing out the shit that matters-- Why are these idiots birthing babies into Hell?
cause at the end of the day, most turn the video off, it’s not our problem anymore and we resume said normal little lives.
Yes, it's too late when the kids are here already to complain, but if people are being born every minute or less, how many of them are being born into warzones, if so, why?
And why aren't we talking about that as much as we are pouring our hearts out for children living in hell and not looking at the people who brought them to hell knowing they live in hell.
Same goes for low wage living in section 8, up to their necks in violence & dysfunction but got 5 kids.
The desperate, dumb, poor, and stupid have the most time on their hands to bump hips, but #SaveTheChildren wasn’t enough to not have them, to not bring them into diseased environment where flies & parasites live in their skin or dirty water is all they have to drink.
#SaveTheChildren didn’t mean anything to the people having the damn kids.
Nobody's having that conversation. People are too damn easy to control, just get you emotional and stuck in tunnel vision, and ignoring the retrospect factors.
Just another method of propaganda, instead of misandry where it abuses & castrates, this is appeal propaganda; Drop your guard through empathy. Way too easy.

God's voice: Aziraphale hadn't just created water. Although he didn't know this at the time, he also had the first case ever of what would later be known as 'having a crush.' Consequently, he was also the first being whose crush didn't like him back.

Frieza, are all members of your species male and/or Genderless?
Not male, and not genderless—single-sexed. I think the closest terminology you would be familiar with to describe my status in comparison to your own is “intersex”, though that also isn’t right; from what I understand an intersex mammal is typically not in possession of both functioning organs... and certainly isn’t capable of asexual reproduction or egg-laying.
I suppose one way to put it is this: it isn’t that I fall somewhere in the middle of a spectrum, but rather it’s that there is no spectrum into which I could fall. Binary gender was foisted upon me, not something I happened upon naturally.
In that sense there are some mammals that might relate…
#((I hope this isn’t written in an insensitive way?? The answer here is filtered through both my own feelings-))#((As well as my interpretation of what Frieza’s feelings and experiences would be))#((In my mind he’s a transgender man in the sense that he has female reproductive organs and genders himself male by choice))#((But he’s also an alien#and he does have a functional frenis as well))#((nsfw in tags))#text response#In general my writing of Frieza’s gender and expression reflects how I wish my own appeared in relation to others))#((im one of those queers who has always felt ‘alien’ and wanted to project onto aliens and queer coded villains etc))

I suspect that the vegetative MAGA crowd is showing the effects of Long COVID on their memories. They have forgotten that Trump's horribly botched response to the pandemic triggered a recession and caused unemployment to spike. Let's not even get into the death toll for 2020.
Sore LOSER Trump left office on 20 January 2021. The 12 months prior to that consisted of one disaster after another.
Nobel economics laureate Paul Krugman looked at "Trump-stalgia".
The Peculiar Persistence of Trump-stalgia
Soaring deaths aside, four years ago more than 20 million Americans were unemployed; Trump left office with the worst job record of any president since Herbert Hoover. Also, the country was in the grip of a violent crime wave, with murders soaring. Today, by contrast, we’ve just experienced the longest stretch of unemployment below 4 percent since the 1960s, and the violent crime wave — Trump didn’t cause it, but it did happen on his watch — has been rapidly receding. [ ... ] One common explanation of Trump-stalgia is that many people give the former president a mulligan for 2020, attributing all the bad things that happened in his final year to the Covid pandemic (and ignoring the extent to which Trump’s botched response to the pandemic added to the death toll). That is, when they say “four years ago” they actually mean “before the pandemic.” That surely explains part of what’s going on. But there are also problems with this story. If Trump gets a pass for the economic and social damage inflicted by the pandemic, why shouldn’t Biden get a similar pass for problems that manifested on his watch but surely reflected delayed effects of Covid disruptions? For example, ripple effects of the pandemic clearly explain a lot of the inflation surge of 2021-22. How do we know this? Because prices rose almost everywhere. Different nations measure inflation somewhat differently, but if you look at the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices, which is available for a number of countries, you find that cumulative inflation since the beginning of the pandemic has been almost eerily similar in the United States and in Europe. Also, Trump boosters aren’t consistent about sending 2020 down the memory hole. Trump claimed that he presided over gasoline prices of less than $2 a gallon, but this was true only for a couple of months in 2020 — a period when global oil prices were low because the pandemic had the world economy flat on its back.
Trump can't get away from his pandemic catastrophe. Telling Americans to drink bleach, take ineffective malaria pills, and stick ultraviolet lights up their butts certifies him as a two-bit quack. And it took him 50 days after the first COVID-19 case appeared in the US before he declared an emergency. Remember his infamous January 22nd comments on CNBC?
It wasn't "just fine".
As for now, feelings haven't caught up with the facts.
Trump-stalgia is undoubtedly a powerful force. Biden helped lead us through a time of turmoil — much of which happened even before he took office — to a pretty good place, with very low unemployment, fairly low inflation and falling crime. But many Americans seem unaware of the good news; for example, the drop in crime doesn’t appear to have broken through to public consciousness at all. And there seems to be a romanticized vision of what things were like under Biden’s predecessor, which somehow omits the terrible things that happened in 2020. So are you better off than you were four years ago? For most Americans, the answer is clearly yes. But for reasons that still remain unclear, many seem disinclined to believe it.
Good news is seldom reported. And when it does occur these days, you absolutely won't hear it on Fox News.
One thing that's certainly worse now is the situation regarding reproductive freedom. Roe v. Wade got overturned by the US Supreme Court in 2022. Though if Hillary Clinton had made those three appointments to SCOTUS instead of Donald Trump, Roe v. Wade would have been upheld by a 7 to 2 vote instead of being tossed.
Remind people (repeatedly!) of who appointed the SCOTUS justices who made abortion nearly impossible in many states. In an age of short attention spans and low information voters, don't assume that everybody knows. Trump bragged about killing Roe v. Wade – his influence lives on through his awful appointments to the federal courts.
Most Americans probably couldn't pass those simplistic civics tests given to wannabe new citizens. Patiently explains how the system works – or is supposed to.
Even when times are good, people will still find stuff to complain about. As the late author Randall Jarrell wrote: "The people who live in a Golden Age usually go around complaining how yellow everything looks."
Though this may not exactly be a "golden age", it beats avoidable pandemic dystopia, a coup attempt, and dreadful appointments to the federal courts. And it's certainly superior to having Trump back as a sleazy dictator on day one.

This experience broke my heart. I’ve spoken with many Jews who are also broken-hearted as they feel pushed out of progressive spaces, specifically abortion funds and other reproductive health organizations. We feel betrayed by and disappointed in our movement for failing to live the values it purports to embody. The erasure of our history as a people that has struggled to survive and the erasure of our current lived experiences is nothing short of devastating. Jews are not asking progressive movements, causes, or individuals to condone or celebrate Israel’s response to Oct. 7. We are not asking for them to identify solely with our suffering. We are asking that if they insist on wading into this conflict, they do so in a way that recognizes our humanity.
#before anybody screams at me I've supported a ceasefire with all hostages returned since OCTOBER#I thought that Israel's response to October 7 had no disregard for civilian lives even then#but like this is also correct and I'm sorry but Gaza has nothing to do with reproductive rights in the United States#links#politics

Not to mention that, frankly, abortion is currently illegal or inaccessible across way too much of the US and birth control is expensive AF, so if you want people to stop stealing baby care essentials you might do better to use your corporate power to lobby for free and accessible reproductive healthcare, frankly.
Because a lot of people stealing baby care essentials really didn’t fucking choose to be pregnant, frankly; they’re forced into it for political reasons.
Don’t get me wrong; nappy and baby care product drives are 100% useful and wonderful community responses to need. But that doesn’t stop the fact that there is a systemic political reason why theft of expensive specialist baby care items is quite common. That requires political action.
So when corporate entities attempt to turn responses to political and systemic injustices into a personal responsibility and blame game, I’m always going to remind them of the systemic reasons, and suggest they use their corporate power to tackle it.
It also underlines how much political decisions in putative democracies (the US is bad for it but FAR from the only culprit) are affected by corporate interests and corporate lobbying. Which is necessary AF.

What kind of special interests do you think Goemon has? In canon it has been shown that he has an interest in ancient Chinese/Japanese history and Buddhist philosophy, but what other topics would he have an extensive knowledge of? I think he would know a lot about human anatomy and health science since he's kind of the team medic and has a large focus on the state of his body in general, and I think it would tie in with his "smoking is bad for you" mentality. However in turn I think this would make him immune to most forms of flirting, somebody would say something along the lines of "I'm attracted to you" and he'd go in depth about the reproductive system and how it's not their fault if they have these feelings

It's sure something that every post about violence, civilians, human rights, pacifism, war, or activism strategies is now assumed to be a post about IP and proof of the poster's secret evil beliefs. Especially if the Op is Jewish or has Jewish mutuals. Definitely this won't have negative ripple effects.

Female ancestors learned to not have sex when they were ovulating to avoid burdens of pregnancy; gradually they were eliminated from the gene pool. Concealed ovulation evolved because females unaware of pregnancy odds were more likely to have children.

M’kay just finished the fire temple. Gotta say, I called the whole Zelda-not-being-Zelda thing back when I did the golden horse quest (I named it honeycomb). Anyway, glad that Yunobo was just being mentally fucked with instead of becoming a jerk. Also, most importantly, the sidequest I just started finally answers how Gorons reproduce. Huzzah!

Also just imagine when Megatron's coding calms down and stops assuming everything is a threat that needs to be met with immediate lethal force and finally leaves his quarters. Every bot he meets has to basically be like **P A N I C** while trying to act normal. Not at all paying attention to the chirping little blob on your pauldron with some very telling finials. Never seen anything even remotely close to that in all my functioning so please don't tear my head off Lord Megatron.
And yes I like to think sparkling rides on his shoulder. Maybe special baby magnets? Like the grasping reflex in babies.
Special magic baby magnetic servos
Logically, there's probably an instinctive reason why Cybertronian coding would necessitate this murderous intent to anything that could be harmful to sparkling (ie predacons to ancient transformers)
I could also see so much casually cradling Silverlight to Megatron's (and eventually Optimus's) chassis. That sparkling will probably not touch the ground until a way a lot later on, it's too fragile and there's too much that could happen with big mecha walking around.
#also likely a reason why Cybertronian sparklings are way crazy rare#the amount of resources and strong instincts that take over would be considered undesirable in Functionalism#also the fact that if the population learned of this method of reproduction they wouldn't need to rely on the allspark as much#which would be super threatening to the caste system and the corrupt senate#tfp au#but by gods this protective nature will return with vicious force when Tarn becomes a threat#and 100% threatens the sparkling as it's existence threatens his fantasy (and the Fallen's plans)#this will not go well for him. and will also provoke a response in the other mecha and and even Fowler#on a more lighthearted note the medics are gonna have such a group effort on trying to do a checkup and antivirals#cybertronian biology#tfp Megatron#tfp Optimus#oc talk#ship kid#silverlight

i'm listening to disjointed sections of the 3 body trilogy again and thinking abt the basic tenant that the need of a resource, no matter how great, doesn't bestow upon u the right to take it from another. the trisolarans are willing to colonize earth bc they fear a hypothetical albeit very real possibility of their own planet getting swallowed by a sun. but it's still an act of colonialism to just come to earth and slash and burn and slaughter. reminds me of ender's game and the formics terraforming the planets they expand to. how the justification for space colonization is always the right of personal survival and proliferation, at the cost of native life. (and also, humanity's fear for personal survival against a perceived threat as the recurrent justification for war and xenocide.)
beyond the very obvious parallel to modern day settler colonialism, it also brings to mind reproductive rights, and how the govt shouldn't be able to borrow your body to carry a child, even if the child has to die. doesn't matter how sentient a fetus can get. u shouldn't be forced to donate your organs to save someone else's life.
#i've discussed the more complex and interesting issue from ender's game a lot before so i'm not gonna spend a lot of time rehashing#but the question of ethical responsibility and fault is always present like approaching the unknown with the assumption of no intelligence#is dangerous but inevitably difficult to overcome#first contact is basically impossible to get right#and the ethics of causing death is also very interesting. like it's literally part of the cycle of life#but the purposeful disruption of a biological system is where u cross the line into harm i think#like (as a very basic example) how we need the wolves in yosemite to kill deer + can't let deer reproduce unchecked or else they overgraze#anyway back to the post i was trying to make before i got sidetracked thinking abt ender's game again#colonialism is a violation at a macro level the way denial of reproductive rights is a violation at the personal level#3bp#eg

[ 🍦 ] - going out for ice cream late at night (Izzy)
(i apologize in advance how dumb this is but this is literally how they all bullshit in my head at any given time in the day 🙃)
--
[sometime in the future]
“God, you’re so boring now we can’t go out clubbing,” Luca complained teasingly, nudging Izzy with his shoulder. “You just had to go and get yourself knocked up, didn’t you?”
Izzy nudged him back, a dollop of her expensive gelato going flying as she did so. “Hey, it’s not like we’ll never go out dancing again. Besides, isn’t your man keeping you busy with work of your own these days?”
Luca scooped up another spoon of salted caramel ice cream. For a brief, insane moment, he’d considered trying something different like hokey pokey or choc chip but in the end, he’d found his favourite and had no interest in exploring other options.
A bit like how he felt about Ryan the first time they’d met. “Yeah, it’s been pretty fun. And Ry is really happy to be back in the air so much.”
“Is it weird? Having to step back now that Skye’s son is older?”
“Nah. I like having Ryan to myself to be honest. And plus, it means I can come visit your lame ass more often.”
Izzy blew a raspberry in his direction, making him laugh. He was teasing. There was absolutely nothing lame about Isobel Morrisini, queen of the Italian underworld and close ally to the O’Riain clan. She perched beside him on the edge of the penthouse’s private gardens, watching the eternal city that was Roma pass by below, beautiful and serene. From here, the ancient coliseum and scattered ruins were bathed in gold light. Luca loved visiting Izzy and Nico in Rome, but already he was homesick with the insistent tug calling back to the highlands and the stones.
“How far along are you now?”
Izzy rubbed her belly, the swell there only just starting to be obvious through the flowery sundress she wore. “Almost eight months. Sometimes it feels like it’s taking forever, sometimes I worry it’s going too fast. We’ve both wanted this so much.”
“I’m glad Vito’s gone now,” Luca said quietly, digging around for the last dregs of caramel. “You won’t have to look over your shoulder anymore.”
Izzy gave him a telling glance. “Nor you. Lainey’s gone?”
“Yeah. Ry dealt with her. I should have let him deal with her years ago when she first started her shit but I was… I dunno. I think I was kinda smug. I didn’t know she could be so dangerous.”
“I don't think anyone could have. But she’s gone now. They both are. Now we get to live the rest of our lives with the men we love.”
“Yeah,” Luca brightened then swung his legs around to climb off the edge. He helped Izzy up too. “God, if Nico sees you like this, he’s gonna freak.”
Izzy laughed. “Oh, he knows. He just knows better than to argue with me now.”
“Still, precious cargo and all that.” Luca gestured to her belly.
“Do you want to feel him kick?”
“What?”
“The ice cream must have woken him up. He’s moving around.”
Luca found himself morbidly curious. Not that he hadn’t been around babies, Kate and Skye pumping them out like it was going out of style, but it was another thing entirely to feel one moving around on the inside.
It kinda grossed him out a little.
Izzy laughed at the expression on his face. “Luca!”
“What! Sorry, I know it’s the miracle of creation and blah blah, but like, isn’t it just, fucking weird? Like… that. In… there. I’m-“
Luca pulled a face, only causing Izzy to laugh harder. “It’s really not that weird.”
“Not to you,” Luca sniffed, but he gingerly poked her belly, only for Izzy to roll her eyes and flatten his palm against the curve of her stomach. “This feels very hetero,” he muttered, only for Izzy to shush him.
At first there was nothing, then a tiny little flutter. His eyes widened. “Holy shit!”
“See,” Izzy looked smug. “Not so weird.”
“Wow. Okay,” Luca pulled his hand away. “So if it’s a boy, you’re gonna call him Luca, right?”
Izzy covered her mouth, trying to hide her laugh. “Um. No.”
“Come on, it’s a good name. And I totally just bought you that gelato and snuck you onto the roof so like, naming your first born after me totally seems like a pretty good deal.”
“Your husband’s black credit card bough the gelato,” Izzy corrected, sweeping past Luca in a swirl of flowing sundress.
He trotted after her, undeterred. “Do you know what Luca means? Bringer of Light. Ry says it's perfect because I remind him of sunshine. How cool is that?”
“Luca-“ Izzy started.
“See, just look how much you already love saying it.”
“Oh for god’s sake,” she melted against him, clutching his arm and finally giving up on holding in her laughter. He giggled right alongside her until they made it downstairs and back onto the street. Across the road, the gelato sign was still lit up in a neon glow and the two black cars flanked its shopfront, ready to take them home once they’d had their fun.
Izzy’s hand tightened on his arm. “You know. I’m not sure I’m ready to go home yet.”
“Aren’t your feet aching? And other pregnant lady stuff? Kate always complains about her back hurt-ow!”
Izzy pinched his side, hard. “You are such a brat.”
“I know,” he grinned then tugged her back across the street. “Come on, let’s get seconds then!”
#this is what happens when i just let them go#i take zero responsibility#feel free to throw in trash lol#also Luca: grossed out by reproduction in EVERY universe lmao

Unsolicited and unpopular advice for guys
Dudes if you've made up your mind and decided you don't want to have kids (your own reasons are valid and shouldn't be questioned) get yourself a vasectomy.
It's effective and the side effects are really low. The recovery time is short and the pain is minimal. The side effects women go through with all the birth control they use are insane and it's unfair we lay all the responsibility on them.
A vasectomy will not protect you from STI's so don't be silly to think you can stop using condoms. Do your research friends, it's easy and this procedure will save you and your partner from accidental unwanted/unplanned pregnancies.
I'll leave the following links for people in the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Europe.
