You had been in the air for days. Way too long , if you had to give your own opinion. The last thing you remembered was the fight at the Sabaody Archipelago. Speaking of , you wondered if the rest of your crew was okay.

You were knocked unconscious by Kuma. He was the reason you were sent flying. You didn't know where you were going , or if you were even going to survive. You were starving , dehydrated , and exhausted. You were even still very , very injured. Blood coated the bottom of the paw bubble you resided in.

As if a miracle was placed upon you , an island came into sight. The bubble started decending towards the island , so you prepared yourself for the impact. Your little trap smashed into the ground and took the blunt of the blow. Though , the wind was still knocked out of your lungs.

You started coughing violently as you rolled over and spit blood on the cold , hard ground. "Fuckin' . . ." You trailed off , grumbling under your breath. You struggled to get yourself to your scraped knees.

While you struggled , a small crowd formed around you. People whispered and stared at your injured form. Your eyes trailed over to a woman and a child. The woman wore nurse scrubs and had a bag on her arm. You sighed and tried to speak. Instead of words , your throat burned from the blood from previous wounds.

Despite the pain , you croaked out a plea for help. "Please , I need a boat. I need to go back to Sabaody." You spoke , gritting your teeth. The woman turned from you and the child started crying.

After a few minutes , you started to lose hope. Nobody was going to help you or give you a boat. Suddenly , a smooth voice cut through the thick tension between you and the residents. "Why would you need to go there ?" The voice belonged to a male. You wished that you could lift your head to see him , but you fell into unconsciousness from the mass loss of blood.

". . . kin' up." Was the first thing you heard as your eyes slowly opened. You took a moment to stare at the blank ceiling in an attempt to figure out where you were. Your heavy eyelids , after a bit of force , stayed open.

By the feeling of the place , you were on a ship. Were they taking you to Sabaody ? You shot up , but you were quickly shocked with the amount of pain in your body. It felt like a thousand pans had rained upon your head and now it was pounding violently. You didn't know how you didn't realize the pain towards the front of your head , but you sure did now. Instead of groaning about it , you chose to ignore it.

You looked down and noticed that you had been changed. Your previous wounds were either stitched up and covered , or just covered. Your chest was wrapped in a bandage since the biggest wound was across there , and your broken ankle was suspended in the air. You blinked and noticed a tall , blonde haired male in the corner.

"So , you're awake." He spoke , a smirk on his face. "My name is Hongo. You were pretty beatin' up back there , mind tellin' me what happened ?" He asked as he sat down on the chair next to your bed.

Your mouth opened and shut like a fish out of water. Your throat burned as if there were needles stabbed into it. Despite this , you forced yourself to speak. "Fight on Sabaody. I have to get . . get back to my crew." You croaked in a hoarse voice. You flinched as you felt him take off the bandages from your arm.

"Relax , I'm just changing your bandages. You were out for a while." He said smoothly as he reached for the roll on the desk next to you. You watched him carefully . . Until you realized what he said.

Your eyes widened , mouth widening along with them. "A while ?? How long was a while ??" You panicked. God damnit , what if they were fighting off people at Sabaody while waiting for you ?!! You had to get there.

He thought for a moment. Though in thought , he didn't stop changing your bloodied wrap. "About 2 weeks. You had lost a lot of blood. You have a serious wound on your chest. If it had cut any deeper , you would have been dead. It's actually a miracle that you survived losing all of that blood." He informed smoothly , scrunching his nose as he finished off the wrap.

"2 weeks ??! Fuck , fuck , fuck. I've got to get back to Luffy." You began rambling about things you didn't even know , but Hongo was caught on one detail.

"Hold on a second ! Did you say Luffy ? As in Monkey D. Luffy ?" He asked , a smile now present on his pale face.

You sighed and nodded , attempting to relax. He laughed and stood up. "Our captain is good buds with Luffy ! Let me go get you some tea for your throat and fetch him for ya." He winked and walked out of the dimly lit office. You blinked and stared at the ajar door. Before you tried to stand , you heard him yell to you. "Don't leave the bed ! If you do , your ankle will pop back out of place and you won't be able to use it again !"

You flinched and stopped taking the sheets off of your battered body. You groaned and rolled to your side , though it was painful. You decided to take a little nap while waiting. A little shut eye couldn't hurt.

You woke up to some unfamiliar voices. As if on instinct , you shot up , wide eyed , and stared at all of them. They were surprised that you woke up so fast , but they didn't say anything about it. "So , you're on Luffy's crew ?" You heard from your side. You turned your eyes to the man and observed him. He had red hair , brown eyes , and a stubble. You had to admit that he was quite attractive.

"Yeah. I'm the mixologist of his crew." You said bluntly as you wiped the sweat from off of your forehead. "Then you might wanna see this." Another male said from behind the red haired man. He had gray hair and a cigarette in his mouth. He placed a newspaper in front of you. 2 of them , actually. One was from . . The war ? And the other was what Luffy did after.

You looked at the 1st one and skimmed over it. You turned to see your captain , seemingly in a state of shock and depression. Your eyes widened as you saw the big bold letters that read: "Fire Fist Ace , Executed" or something along those lines. You dropped the paper and covered your mouth.

"Take me to him. Please , I need to be there for him. He needs someone to be by his side during this time." You demanded after a small bit of recovery. Beck shook his head and pointed to the other paper. You picked it up and saw your captain again. He seemed to be alive and well , but you noticed something on his arm.

You knew what it meant. Your anxiety faded as you made the realization. You sighed softly and smiled. "Nevermind. Thank you for showing me these." You bowed your head a bit and struggled to get up.

"If you wouldn't mind me asking , what island are we docked at ?" You asked while staring at the men in front of you. "Bebida Gallows. It's an island famous for its alcohol. I'm sure you can guess why we're here." Benn answered calmly , crossing his arms and leaning against the wall behind him.

You looked between the two of them and decided to introduce yourself. "My name is Reader. I'd like to request to fight along side you for a while. I want to train and get stronger so I can protect my captain. He does so much for us . . I have to return the favor. I won't let what happened at Sabaody happen EVER again." You declared with a fierce look flares up in you [color] colored eyes. It seems the others noticed.

"Protectin' Luffy , eh ? I can't say no to that. He needs a nice crew if he's going to be the king of the pirates." The red haired captain laughed. You knew him from somewhere , but you couldn't put your finger on it. "I'm Shanks. This 'ere is Beckman." Shanks introduced. "And this 'ere is Hongo. He was the one that took care o' ya." He put his arm around his first mate and smiled widely.

"Alright. Thank you for being able to train me." You bowed your head once more and caused the other men in the room to laugh.

It had been a year since you've been training with the Red Haired Pirates. You stayed on the island while they would leave , then come back. You honed any skills they taught you , while also updating your alcohol mixes. You learned a lot from those Pirates and even the people of the island.

Turns out , Shanks owns this bit of land. He has his flag flying high , protecting the people. You found it charming. You also noticed that during your training sessions , you've developed feelings for him. Rather it be because of how he was so gentle with you , his charisma , his kindness , or how he flirted with you. It all mixed together , like a drink.

Anytime you stirred one of your new drinks , you would think of him. The feeling of the stirring I'd very similar to how his presence makes your stomach feel.

Along with him , your crewmates made their way into your mind. Any time you had free , you would make their favorite drinks.

Milk Punch Cocktail for Luffy. You made it with milk , the spirit , sugar , and vanilla extract. Luffy always asked for extra vanilla extract , so you complied.

A large , Toji Moon for Zoro. Its base is made with Benedictine , yuzu and lemon juices , red bean syrup , and yuzu marmelade , which all gets topped with a frothy mix of nigori sake and egg white that's been shaken until foamy , plus a dusting of grated nutmeg. This was one of your harder sake mixes to make , but Zoro seemed to love it.

A Tangerine Dream for Nami. It's made of ginger liqueur , tangerine , tangerine juice , sugar , and lemon juice. It tasted more like a tangerine drink than an alcoholic one , which may be why Nami enjoyed it so much.

Apple Pie on Rocks for Usopp. It's made of vanilla vodka , fireball whiskey , apple juice , apple cider , carmel apple syrup , and champagne. You knew he had one of the higher tolerances of the crew , so this was something you suggested for him. Once he tried it , he LOVED it.

A Hot Ted Toddy for Sanji. It's made of honey , lemon , dark rum , cognac , black tea , and cloves. You tried this drink because it includes black tea , Sanji's favorite drink. Once he tried it , he fell in love with it.

There were so many more , but these are the first few you learned. They came to you naturally , and you found yourself making them unconsciously. You even made them for the Red Haired Pirates , who enjoyed them a lot.

It had been 2 years. 2 long , grueling years. You've learned so much since then. What haki was , what the government does , and so much more. One of those things was how you were attracted to red heads.

You trained with the Red Haired pirates. You ended up even developing a fondness for their captain. He was just so giddy and reminded you so , so much of your own captain.

That's why departing hurt you and him so much. You arrived on Sabaody a few days earlier than everyone else because Shanks and his crew didn't want to be seen by yours.

You knew you couldn't tell Shanks how you felt. Neither of you had the time to be in love , especially with this generation. You were ready to meet him in the New World , however. You 2 would have to be patient.

As Luffy returns the Straw Hat , you will get to finally be with the man you fell in love with under 2 years. The man who trained you , the man who showed you what the world was truly like. You'd never forget him.

During the two year time skip whenever Zoro and Hawks take their well deserved breaks after training Perona would float from the haunted mansion to the training ground, grab Zoro and float all the way to the flower fields to re-wrap Zoros bandages.

During those breaks Perona would teach Zoro how to make a lot of things, flower crowns, braids with flowers in hair (like rapunzel), all types of flower jewelry and time little bouquets.

He always thought that it was a waste of time, but Perona told him that this is one of the ways to make a girl like him (like he cares about girls) but Luffy leaned to more of the feminine side before they had to depart so maybe he’ll like these. That hope was what kepted him going and listen to peronas bickering.

So when the crew finally got back together after the two years the Sunny’s grass and orange trees over grew and flowers were everywhere. Chopper was put to the task to eat it all but he obviously took his time since no one seemed really bothered by it anyways.

One day while the Sunny was bobbing in the ocean and no enemy’s in sight, Luffy and Zoro basked in the warm sun light under the tree im the gress of the Sunny. Zoro feel asleep first naturally in the shade but when he woke up he found Luffy asleep on his leg.

Zoro carefully set up making sure not to wake him up in order to see Luffys peaceful face. As he was looking at Luffy he can’t help but feel crushed knowing that he missed out on this beautiful face for two years he knows that Kuma meant well but he can never forgive him for spittling them apart.

But now he can look at his face for the rest of his life and he never wants to look away again. As he pushed a couple of hairs away from Luffy face he realized just how much Luffys hair has grown. (It’s enough to put it into a small braid) he thought to himself.

As Luffy was still knocked out Zoro instantly started grabbing flowers and grass that were in his reach and made and little band for the braid that he was instinctively started doing as if his fingers were on auto pilot.

Once he was done with the braid he made the flower crown. The grass on the Sunny had a variety of flowers from all the islands that they visited. So all of the flowers were bright and exotic ranging from all different of shapes and colors, making each one of them stand out.

So the crown had one/two of each flower in patch of grass and twigs that dropped near him from the tree to make the crown more sturdy so it can handled Luffys enthusiastic energy. Once he was done with the crown he gently puts it on Luffys head to make sure that he won’t accidentally wake him up.

After the flower crown zoro then started adding flowers in all over his braid. With warm colors near the crown and more down to the end of the braid is cooler toned flowers. After putting some more flowers in between his ears. Luffy wakes up staring at Zoro with loving eyes that Startled Zoro for a second.

Luffy springs up and asked Zoro what he was doing and Zoro just said “I put flowers where they belonged” and with Luffy being Luffy he gave Zoro he bright smile and got up and ran into the bathroom to see it while screaming about how amazing Zoro is throughout the Sunny putting a momentary hold on over ones little relaxation day.

But Luffy left a normal looking Marino into a deep red tomato as Zoro heard Luffy from across the Sunny Saying how cool he looks now. The next time Zoro sees Perona again he really needs to thank her immediately. ❤️

Ho’ike which was so beautiful I got a little choked up. My mom’s half sister is the Kuma Hula and basically a celebrity in that world. Sunday:

F1 race which was exciting despite seeing a spoiler here on this hellsite. A trip to the Triton Museum to see my stepdad’s painting in the wild.* Lunch and a trip to buy some new walking shoes. I ended up with Hokas?! I have to admit they feel really stabilizing and the fetus who helped me said given some of my injuries that they would provide the right support. They’re HUGE and I’ve always been a Brooks Person but I’m trying to keep an open mind.

It’s been relaxing and social and why is the weekend five minutes long?

and its CRAZY cuz they've been through so much. from the absolute horror of the initial incident, to the pain of finding out what happened to luffy at marineford and zoro going insane because he isnt there for luffy. luffy going through that and not wanting to live afterwards but being brought back Because he has zoro and the others - no doubt in those tears of love and gratitude there was a mix up of guilt for considering offing himself because it would mean hurting THEM. he is very sorry, it passed.

But luffys determination to be great to reach his goal is inseparable from his greed and selfishness, and that includes zoro, its crazy really because greed usually implies large quantities but with this its intense greed focused on one person (because zoro is luffys only lover and he wants no other. zoro is the best) which makes it Suffocating. in a way even the fact that "thought of zoro saved me from giving up" kind of = zoro is mine completely, its a batshit logic but thats not unusual for luffy -

luffy doesn't want to become king alone - he wants to do it with zoro and the others, his goal is his life, he is nothing without them and it just so happens that zoro is most important there, not making others disposable just cuz they arent sucking his dick but zoro is zoro, zoro was always different, zoro is the most HIS out of this group of people who will die for him

and they all came back...and zoro came back.. it's like by doing that they signed a second new and expanded unspoken contract between them that yes you are our captain Yes we will see you through the end etc

KUMA: Never Ending Bond, Chapter 1, Part 5 (Translation)

Various unforgettable memories I can only now talk about

I think I want to write about some episodes that stayed in my memory now that the statute of limitations has expired.

One summer, when I was still a high school student, Shishô, who was taking his first vacation in a long time, invited me along with a “Let’s go to Okinawa!”

But the day he was planning to leave for Okinawa was the 1st of September. Unfortunately, that was the day school started again.

Meanwhile, it came that TOSHI-san was going to go with HIDE-san, and the two of them did their best to tempt me.

“KUMA, why can’t you? Is it because your mother would get mad at you if you went to Okinawa on the first day of school?” they said. Having been invited by two people I loved, of course I wanted to go, and… spoke to my mother in secret, and since she was an understanding person, she quickly got to the point of giving her OK, saying to me, “Be careful on your trip!” Since I didn’t bring my swimming pants, she came all the way to Kumamoto Airport to bring them to me.

I took a break from school, and my mother said to HIDE-san and TOSHI-san, “You’re always taking such good care of Hideki.”

HIDE-san and TOSHI-san, looking uncomfortable, said with an embarrassed grin, “No, it’s the other way around.”

Even today, I have to laugh to myself when I remember that scene.

When I thus missed school because of X, my mother told the school, “My son has to stay home because he’s not feeling well.”

That is not really a good thing, but the statute of limitations has expired, after all.

And then… other memories with Shishô that I can’t forget are the days in Yokosuka.

Shishô often took me along to Yokosuka, where his parents lived.

Shishô often took me along to places like ROCK CITY [Note: a livehouse] where he gave a lot of lives with SAVER TIGER, the band he was with before X, or Yokosuka’s entertainment district, Dobuita Street.

I was a complete greenhorn, not even being 20 at the time…

Since there was the American military base in the immediate neighborhood, I had to compare my drinking to the American military whenever we went to Yokosuka. Shots on the rock… No matter how many I had, I would not get drunk.

The reason was that I had to get HIDE-san safely back to his parents’ home.

I wonder if I was able to harden my body because I took pride in my duty of properly supporting HIDE-san… Even when I drank, I kept the physical condition of someone who did not.

We sometimes got into fights with the American soldiers, even to the point of the police being involved, but… Looking back at it now, it makes me feel nostalgic.

Another thing I remember when thinking about Yokosuka is Shishô’s mother.

When I went to his parents’ house with Shishô, there was a mountain of food prepared there. Seeing this, HIDE-san said, “KUMA, if I eat like that in this place, I’m going to get fat again.”

But while he mumbled things like that, to me he always looked very relaxed when we were at his parents’ place.

Remembering his childhood, he often laughed and said, “Ever since I was little, I got fat because I ate like this!!” Whenever he returned to Yokosuka, he called the former members of SAVER TIGER  and other friends, and we all went drinking together. He always seemed to have a lot of fun.

My current work has me think of Tokyo as a battlefield, and I realize that this awareness is something that I must have naturally absorbed from observing Shishô at that time.

Kuma: ('Groans in Annoyance') Geese. (Turns her Switch off on Sleep Mode Before Setting it on the Coffee Table Beside Her)

Ludwig: You're taking a break already?

Kumatora: For now. I've been trying to beat that guy since last night and my ass keeps getting handed to me in a platter with those DUMB counterattacks of his! ('Sigh') It's annoying......

Ludwig: I bet. But try not to give up hope just yet. (Gives Kuma a Reassuring Smile on his Face) I'm sure you'll finally be able to claim your victory in due time.

Kumatora: Oh, trust me, It'll happen. And I will DEFINITELY rub it on his pixeled face the whole way through. (Stretch her Arms and Back Out a Little Bit) But right now, I just wanna sit back, relax, and watch my prince of a boyfriend read his book from down below.

Ludwig: You sure that's you want to do? It could get you bored within seconds.

Kumatora: (Shrugs) Fine by me. I can handle the boredom. (Forms a Seductive Smirk on her Face) So long as I could get a nice glimpse of that good looking face of yours~ (Makes a Small Kissing Sound Towards her Boyfriend)

Ludwig: Yes, he has. (Rolls his Eyes) And for SOME idiotic reason, he managed to botched up any chances of ever coming back in the party after.

Bowser: Will cut your old man some slack already!?(Crosses his Arms Together) You sound just as bad as your mother and her stupid plumber-knight boy toy! Besides, my reason for doong it wasn't that stupid at the time.....

Ludwig: (Gives Bowser a Deadpinned Look on his Face) Father, you willingly chose to go back to your old, scheming antics just because you got bored. How else are we supposed to react to that?

Kumatora: Yeah, that was pretty stupid on your part, sir.

Bowser: (Slouches his Arms Down in Pure Sadness) I KNOOW!!! That was practically my golden ticket to finally get invited to every new party set up and I just BURNED it all down to ashes! (Covers his Face While Crying Some More) What the hell is wrong with meeheeheeheeheeheeeee!?~

Kumatora: (Gently Slaps Her Boyfriend's Arm While Lightly Pouting at Him) Luddy. (Gives Bowser a Small, Reassuring Smile) You've really been missing that Mario Party life these days, huh?

Bowser: (Happily Wraps his Arm Around Ludwig's Shoulders) Which is all the more reason why I'm appointing you and your girlfriend as my two lawyers.

Kumatora: (Happily Nodded) Yeah, the whole thing a mock trial, right? It could be fun for the both of us.

The princess and king then proceeds to wobble their lips up and down as they present Ludwig two sad puppy dog eyes. There hasn't been a single person brave enough to turn down such a adorably cheap tactic yet, let alone someone as intelligent and mature as the oldest of the Koopaling Family.

Ludwig: ('Sighs in Defeat') Okay, fine. I'll represent as another lawyer.

Bowser: (Happily Hugs His Son on One Side) Thanks, son!~

Kumatora: (Happily Hugs her Boyfriend om the Other Side) We promise you won't regret it, babe!~

Ludwig then receives kisses on both sides of his cheeks from both his love ones.

Ludwig: (Rolls his Eyes a Bit While Blushing a Bit) Yes, yes, I'll take your word for it or what have you....(Turns to Bowser With a Raised Eyebrow) I sure hope you're ready to take this case more seriously, father.

Few Minutes Later at the Smash Bros Courtroom.......

Bowser: (Drops Down on his Knee, Begging and Crying his Eyes Out in Front of the Judges and Everyone Else Present in the Courtroom) Please, Please PLEAHEESEE get me back on the party list! I promise with all my heart, soul, and MIGHT that I'll be on my best behavior, from start to finish!

Mario: (Raises an Eyebrow While Sitting Next to Peach on the Conjoint Judges Desk) Really? Give us one good reason why we should.

Peach: (Glares at Bowser) And it better not be because you're bore!

Bowser: That's definitely not the reason at all, i swear! The second to last party you invited me to was most fun I've ever had in long time! I can't let it all go to waste now!!

Ludwig: (Walks Over to Bowser's Side While Wearing a Laywer Suit with his Hair Tied Up in the Back) It's true. The day you invited our client to the party for the very first time in years has been one of if not the most happiest days of his abnormal life. His very own words, not ours.

Kumatora: (Walks Over to the Other Side While Wearing a Light Blue Colored Suit of her Own) His actions so far today only shows how deeply regretful and apologetic he truly feels for returning old, more devious habits in the party after.

Bowser: IT'S KILLING ME INSIDEE!!

Kumatora: (Gently Pats the Top of Bowser's Shoulder) It is killing the poor man slowly inside, folks. Have mercy.

Ludwig: (Shows the Judges Kamek, Sitting in the Spectator Chairs, Happily Waving Hello to Him and Bowser) Our client's father/my grandfather is more than willing to return his role as the host of the Unlucky Spaces in his place. And we can assure you all that he will do anything you request him to do going forward, so long as it's legal.

Mario/Peach: (Slowly Raises Eyebrows at the Trio) Anything?

Bowser: Well, I wouldn't really go that far-(Suddenly Felt Ludwig Kicking him in the Thigh Before Ultimately Giving In) ('Agh') Okay, okay, fine! I promise. Mario looks around to see Bowser, who is now being hold back by both Ludwig and Kumatora, still arguing with the witch and goddess and everyone else in the room talking among themselves, completely unaware of the attention he tried to give him.

The loud, booming voice of an angry princess was more than enough to stop everyone from what they were doing, shut 'em up, and give her and Mario their much needed attention.

Mario: (A Bit Startled by his Princess' Scream) Mama Mi- ('Clears Throat') (Smiles a Bit Sheepishly at Peach) T-Thank you, dear.

Peach: (Gives Mario the Sweetest Smile She Can Muster)

Mario: (Turns Back to Everyone) Now, after giving it a lot of consideration, Peach and I decided to give you another shot.

The couple starts a small, smug filled high five woth one another, pissing Bowser off effortlessly.

Bowser: ('Growls') Motherfu- (Balled and Squeezes his Fist Up Tight Before Slowly Turning his Growl into Deep Breath) Alright, fine. I'll accept these terms.

Peach: Good. Now, second, you have to swear in this courtroom that you won't do anything scheming behind the scenes.

Mario: if we catch or any one of your crew doing anything diabolical, you're off the list for good, got it?

Bowser: (Place One Hand on the Book Hat Kid is Holding Up For Him While Holding Up Another Right Beside Him his Face) I, Bowser S. Koopa, solemnly swear not to cause any trouble from in and out the scenes amd behave myself like the adult I am.

Ludwig: (Gives Bowser a Proud Smile) Very mature of you, father.

Mario: (Nodded in Approval) Good, good. Very good indeed. Now, for the final condition.....

Bowser: (Puts on a More Confident Grin on his Face) Lay it on me, judge. I'll definitely get that one in the bag too!

Mario: I sure hope, cause the last and final thing you have to do is not to hit on Peach for at least three months.

Bowser is at a lost for thought before Ludwig kick in the chins again immediately taking him back to reality.

Kumatora: (Raises an Eyebrow at Bowser) Mr. B, do you have what it takes to make it through three months without trying to hit on the princess?

Ludwig,: ('Sigh') Can't believe I'm doing this, but I will make sure my father....client or what have you, make it through that task till the third month rolls by.

Peach: (Frowns a Bit at Ludwig) That's very sweet of you, Luddy, but you don't have to help fight your father's battles for him.

Ludwig: I know, but I can tell that he adores and misses going to one of your annual parties. (Shrugs) It's a decent enough reason for me to make sure he succeeds. And also because I love him.

Crowd: Awwwww~

Bowser: (Heart Begins to Melt as He Pulls Ludwig into a Loving Hug) I love you too, son~ Thank you~

Ludwig: ('Sigh') Yes, yes. It's no problem at all. Just don't screw this up.

Bowser: (Turns to Kuma With a Genuine Surprise Look om his Face) You will?

Kumatora: (Happily Nodded) Yeah, man. (Hugs her Boyfriend) No way I'm gonna let my sweetheart of a boyfriend do this alone. (Turns Back to Bowser) We'll make sure you won't botch this one up, sir. (Slowly Starts to Crack Both of her Knuckles One by One While Giving Bowser The Most Intimidating Looking Smile She Could Muster) By any means.....('Crack') Necessary.

Bowser: ('Gulp') (Turns Back to Ludwig, Whispering to Him in Even More Fear) Your girlfriend is terrifying......

Ludwig: She is a highly trained PsI-User. Fear comes to the territory in some areas. She fought an actual tiger once growing up.

One Piece Chapter 1096 - Initial Thoughts

And we are back

Had a feeling this one would come early though. The Kuma flashback is in swing and we are in a very historically point of intrigue

However it is also 8 weeks since we last saw Nico Robin and it'll likely end up being double digits at this rate

Still, let's not rush this flashback, let's see what it has to offer

The trend of monkeys on the cover is ended by Chihuahuas beating Zoro at musical chairs XD Still though top 3

We're back into hunger games as the Celestial Dragons explain how all the inhabitants are 'rabbits' all worth points; 1 hit kills get you a bonus but there are also 150 rare kills worth more, and 13 super rare worth 10,000 points, the same amount Garling was deducted

There's also prizes apparently, sickening stuff

Garling looked a bit like Zoro and Shanks there as he talks big game

Mannmeyer family woman might be interesting, face is obscured, same for gas mask dude

The last one looks kinda like that Whitebeard Commander too

Of course, the natives of God Valley are confused and panicked by the situation, and are offered no mercy by the dragons who simply tell them to give them a good chase

At the Navy, Garp is being called for support, but he's not biting

Rare appearance from Fleet Admiral Kong too

Young Garp is lapping it up by the pool, but he thinks he's being called because of what the Navy did to the Rocks pirates

Seems they stole something, a 'crown jewel' they say

Ironic though that Garp is all 'you can't shake the hive' and then over 30 years later showing up to shake the hive

Seems like the intel was supposed to be kept on the down low though

Garp won't protect the Dragons from Rocks, but he's leapt out of his deck chair for Roger

So much Luffy energy when he's relaxing too, though I guess God Valley was when he started getting more serious

The Rocks pirates are already on the move too, having left Fullalead without the rest of their inhabitants

Ivankov narrates something more true than they realise, this will be a big moment made forgotten history

10,000 civilians hunted for sport, and Oda's not holding back despite current events

Urgh and the slaves all have target marks on their back

Ivankov has to drill home that nobody is going to survive, the idea that they'll be let go if they survive 3 weeks is just a way to satisfy the dragons

Garling has been chasing the bigger prizes and has thus broke even already

All in front of an audience in Marejois via Den Den Mushi too

Ivankov's chains are bitten off by a Shark Fishman, who Ivankov praises, I wonder if that was Arlong and Shyarly's father?

Ginny (they're sticking with the G) is a bit of a thief and an wiretapper it seems, leaking information to the world 2 weeks prior to create chaos while they escape

The plan requires the prizes; Devil Fruits, the Paw-Paw Fruit and the Fish Fish Fruit: Model Azure Dragon, which are at the center of the island

She makes a point in saying that Kaido's is classed among the strongest of Devil Fruits, and that the Paw-Paw Fruit is a secondary plan because it can blast things away

Kuma also volunteers to be a decoy, his strength and bulkiness being cited as increasing his chances to survive

His resolve does impress Ivankov and Ginny too

Rocks are heeeeeere!

Alas we don't see Rocks D. Xebec, but we do see all the youthful members of the crew

Whitebeard reprimands Rocks for running ahead, with Buckingham Stussy hanging off his shoulder

Seemed Stussy had competition from a Kuja, so the big surprise here: Elder Nyon (Gloriosa) was a Rocks Pirate member, not Shakky like the theories

Canon Manga Debut for Shiki as well, as Big Mom and Kaido argue with the group, also Captain John is there drinking much like he did as a Zombie

No sign of who Ochoku was though, could be the guy to Whitebeard's left (our right)

Seems Rocks wasn't here for the Celestial Dragons though, the pirates were looking for something, and they're all gonna fight even each other to get it

Ochoku could also be the 2 people underneath Gloriosa in the 3 way panel, helmet dude or the very shaded hat man

But from the other side: the Roger Pirates!

Tacheless Roger with the Straw Hat, and prime Rayleigh and Gaban, but there's also a big dude, a Viking Dude and someone in a snug coat

God look how much Roger looks like Ace, and he's been itching for a fight all year

We see a couple more God's Knights too, there's a woman and a tall dude? I dunno every time I look it looks like he's beheaded, he doesn't have the armour, but we have the woman

The chaos has earned a reprieve for the inhabitants, the farmers look a tiny bit like the Milk girl Moda from Lulusia

The younger marines don't like their chances

Until Garp arrives!

Gotta have a good reputation if Garp reassures you against Rocks AND Roger

Bogard my man is still there, the others I don't recognize though

Even more carnage leads to Kuma and Ivankov getting the fruits they want

But alas, Child Abuse, Big Mom getting that in early to knock away Ivankov and get the Fish Fruit which she will use on Kaido

Through Ivankov's encouragement, Kuma eats the fruit before Linlin can get to him

But as Ivankov rallies that saving at least 1 person will be a victory, more child abuse! This time Saturn comes to deck Kuma

Man headshots marines, Bonney and Sanji but he went for ol' fashioned fisticuffs with Kuma

There has been a lot of touching tha child here, DON'T TOUCHA THA CHILD!

"I don't understand how someone can be born to be more or less important" god what a line that is

Stood before Saturn, Kuma notes that now that he has power, he's gonna save as many as he can, just like Nika

And Saturn doesn't like that, seems that the idolization of Nika is what led to the genocide of the Buccaneers

ACOC lightning hums around God Valley as Roger and Rocks fight, it seems Rocks was trying to get to something while Roger was trying to interact

But Oda, brilliant but awful as he is, decides that's it, no more God Valley content...

Sir we needed more, we didn't even see Rocks, or why Kaido needed the fruit to survive, or Ochoku, or why it's made out that Garp and Roger were teaming up to protect the Celestial Dragons because clearly they were not

But alas, back at the Sorbet kingdom we have the aftermath

Ivankov laments that Morgans only lapped up Garp's heroics, and that he's a WG kissass

Kuma however is praying in a church, lamenting that he could've saved more

Turns out he saved 500 people though, which is a lot given how many big names were there, and that last we saw he was staring down a Gorosei

Ginny has now nicknamed Kuma the chapter's title, Kumachi, which could be written the same way as Perona's bear Kumacy not entirely sure

But Ivankov adds praise to Kuma's efforts, calling his paws the Hands of Liberation

Ivankov doesn't stick around though, heading off to sea to enjoy their freedom

"I'll never forget your face for as long as I live" oof right in the Marineford

Ginny however opts to stay in Sorbet living in a church with Kuma

Make no mistake though, Ginny's the boss, despite being a third his size she has the age factor

Chopping wood like the SBS artwork of young Kuma as they seek to feed themselves on hard work

Ginny also beats up bullies that throw stones at Kuma thinking he's lying about being 9

But Kuma as a gentle soul uses his fruit to remove the pain

Ginny is a glutton, much like her potential children/clone maybe? As Kuma offers her more of his food

They've both spent at least 5 years as a slave (since both became slaves at 4, and Kuma is 9 while Ginny is somehow 13)

But the sensation of finally feeling full makes Ginny tear up with joy, which of course makes Kuma cry too

So sweet, it's all gonna go to shit ain't it?

Well it was definitely an inviting chapter

Though I am a bit sore that we got blueballed a lot with God Valley, so many questions still left unanswered as Oda teases us. The Devil Fruits as prizes make sense though, wonder if there were more, Rocks was after something after all. Wonder if the Ope Ope no Mi was considered a prize? I doubt the Gomu Gomu no Mi was a prize though think the Gorosei would've wanted that under lock and key, maybe Doffy's fruit? or the Yami Yami no Mi? or Marco's fruit? or that Egg on Roger's Ship during the Oden flashback? Did Garling throw his son up as a prize? Answers Oda you're supposed to give Answers! We got a lot of teases though; God's Knights, other Rocks crewmates, Stussy potentially indeed being a thing with Whitebeard but atm it seems more like she was dangling off him (she was listed as a 'freeloader' in MADS, wonder if clone Stussy will have a larger role too in present because she did get sidelined quickly), also seems like Gloriosa was interested was Whitebeard the man she had love sickness for? Also got potential ancestors who were God Valley slaves. Kuma saving 500 is still super impressive too, how did he get away from Saturn? How many generations of that 500 still exist today?

But we do seem to have the blooming of Kuma and maybe a relationship with him and Ginny. It's unclear but I think the Luffy's mom bit is even lower a possibility now, still thinking that Bonney is a clone of Ginny though, wouldn't mind if she was a biological daughter it'd just make the wording of Kuma being the last Buccaneer a bit weird.

It does further fuel the idea that Kuma is gonna show up in Egghead too, but the flashback only further fuels the layer of tragedy that has befell Kuma, man has suffered so much and he continues to lose so much, this flashback has the capacity to break us.

At the least there's no break, but the wait will be long and painful regardless.

You pulled into the short paved driveway leading up to a small red brick home. Grace appeared wrapped in a robe on the front porch to greet you.

"Sorry for troubling you in the middle of the night." She rubbed her hands together to warm them.

Was it the middle of the night? You hadn't checked in your haste.

"Its fine." You tried to calm yourself stepping up to meet her.

She guided you into the cozy home where Thatch emerged from the hallway a deep worried frown etched into his handsome face.

"He seems to have calmed down a bit, but he's asking for you." He murmured sounding a bit dejected.

You sighed and nodded with the confirmation that he was alright.

"This way." Grace instructed taking you to the spare bedroom and lightly knocked on the door, "Ace, F/N is here."

"Come in." His voice was barely a whisper.

You turned the knob, foreign feelings bubbling through your chest. Normally you avoided human contact if at all possible, but something drew you to Ace. You felt like you needed to protect him.

Slipping over the threshold you stepped out of your boots and shrugged out of your hoodie quietly making your way to the bed to peel the blankets back.

The raven flinched still a bit shaky from his episode. His garnet orbs glossed over as he searched your face before letting out a short sigh of relief. You crawled into the small bed shifting to pull him into your chest. Once his left ear was pressed firmly above your right breast your entire body relaxed. You released a breath not realizing just how tense you'd been.

Ace broke the silence while your fingers made their way into his messy waves.

"Sorry."

"For what?" You whispered nonchalantly.

"I thought I'd be fine." He murmured a little disappointed in himself.

"And you are." You breathed, "Don't worry about it."

Both of you just huddled together soothing each other's anxieties. Suddenly a chuckle rumbled through Ace's chest.

"What's funny?" You questioned still twisting his hair around your index finger.

"You missed me." He muttered.

"Says who?" You shifted beneath him causing him to rise above you.

"You didn't bother to change your clothes." He pointed at the shirt you'd warn out to eat and you did in fact, still have your jeans on.

"I could have just changed before I left." You lifted a brow.

"But you didn't." He poked your nose before cuddling back into your side, "I bet you didn't even eat."

Your breath caught in your throat picturing the to-go box in the fridge. You'd have to get rid of it before he saw it.

"You don't know what you're talking about." You huffed letting your hands get back to work twisting his hair.

"...F/N?"

"Yeah?"

He paused for a beat searching for words, "Why do you think this is so comfortable?"

"I hadn't thought to question it." You shrugged.

It was an honest enough response. You always did what you wanted; even as a child it was difficult to have you complete a task you had no interest in. Most people, especially teachers found you to be finicky and stubborn. However, the things you were interested in got your full undivided attention. Any task you had true passion for reaped the greatest results. And you usually threw yourself in head first without a second thought. This situation wasn't any different.

"I just... never needed this kind of comfort to sleep before." He said in a hushed tone.

"Me either." You replied softly.

"You never slept before." He chuckled.

"Shut up." You smirked.

This wasn't the first time you'd heard him laugh. He usually did while wrestling with Kuma in the living room. This time is just sounded different, musical somehow? It pulled a rare smile across your lips.

Thatch crossed his arms turning to Grace as they listened to your banter from the hallway.

"Why do you look so concerned?" She caressed the scar on his temple.

"He hasn't even been here a week and he's so attached to her he has panic attacks?"

"That may not be the trigger." She slowly tugged him away from the door, "He left your world in a very traumatic way and she found him the moment he crossed over. He probably just subconsciously associates her presence as something comforting."

"It just seemed a little intense." He pouted running a hand through his now messy brunette locks.

"Such a sweet big brother he has." Grace cooed.

Thatch offered a lopsided smile. He didn't think he'd get a chance to play that role again.

"It is too soon for him to be so attached though..." He commented following Grace into their room.

"Hypocrite." She pressed her lips to his and removed her robe.

You woke up freezing curled up into yourself on the edge of the mattress. Stretching you rolled over to face Ace who was comfortably burritoed into the comforter you had been sharing. He snored loudly, mouth gaping open, drool pooling on the top sheet beneath him. Letting another shiver rack down your spine you jammed your freezing hands into the blanket groping at his shirtless back.

"Wah!" He gasped swatting at you, "What the hell F/N?"

"Shut up." You whispered followed by laughter, "It's still early. You'll wake everyone up."

"You'll wake everyone up. What's your problem?" His brows knit and fell as he watched you laugh and tug the blankets away from him.

"You don't know how to share." You feigned a pout.

"I am a pirate." He smirked, "I don't have to share."

"I'm sure that's a lie." Your chuckles died down as you snuggled into the warm covers.

He watched your expression change.

"So, do you want to stay here?" You cursed yourself inwardly for coming off so bluntly.

His still sleepy eyes widened a fraction. Were you planning on dumping him here? After he just got used to your house and very clearly couldn't sleep through the night alone.

How were you going to cope if he wanted to stay with Thatch and Grace? When did you need his presence so bad?

"Maybe..." He started.

A knot formed in your throat. Why did you even ask?

"Just for the day though. I'm coming home with you." His gaze shifted to the wall behind you, "If I'm still welcome."

"Of course. Idiot."

Can we have Matthew’s morning/night routine? 🇨🇦♥️

Headcanon: Canada’s morning routine is more like an afternoon routine unless he’s getting up to do some early morning photography.

Headcanon: He’s not a morning person so every day starts with him groggily going downstairs to make a cup of coffee before getting ready.

Headcanon: Canada is a lukewarm shower taker in the mornings to wake up. He’d take a cold one but one time he fell asleep in a cold shower and got sick.

Headcanon: After getting ready every morning Canada takes Kumajawalkin out for a stroll in the countryside, if he’s in his house in the city he just walks Kuma on a pet treadmill next to his treadmill.

Headcanon: Canada is an exercise in the evening type of guy. He often goes with America to the gym, or the hockey rink, or the pool, or the track, or… well they do a lot of activities together. Whatever America does to stay in shape he usually comes along and when America isn’t up for it he always goes on a little hike or rock climbing.

Headcanon: while Canada doesn’t really take a shower shower before bed he does like to rinse off the sweat from working out before brushing his teeth and washing his face.

Headcanon: France got him into bedtime yoga. Ever since Canada tends to do little stretches and a bit of meditation before bed. He even got Kumajastay a little mat so he can join him on the floor relaxing.

Headcanon: Canada hibernates like a bear. He’s not a night owl at all and usually goes to sleep at 10:30. Once he’s out he’s out. Kumajaeepy usually curls up on top of him before he’s completely out to get one last scratch.

Found Family and a Passionate Purpose | Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

So I recently got the urge to watch some anime on the side while doing work, and this caused me to stumble upon Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, so today we are going to take a look at this adorable bear-themed anime

What you need to know

With this being a pretty calm anime, there’s not a whole lot to know if you wanna jump into this one. The tone of the first episode is an adorable slice of life following Yuna, a 15-year-old girl who is obsessed with video games, and who gets thrown into her digital world. She now wears a bear onesie to get OP powers and aspires to have a good time in her new home.

Yuna’s bear suit is the main talk of every new place she goes. This show is riddled with bear puns upon bear puns, comedy being at the forefront of the show, but don’t be fooled by the bear suit altogether, there are some real emotional moments that will get you out of nowhere.

My thoughts on the show

I decided to give this anime a chance after starting my free trial of Crunchyroll and this was the first suggestion under the slice of life tab. I had seen the Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear manga at Barns and Noble, but never really thought to get into it. Seeing the anime cover made me think that it would be a nice show to put on and have playing on the side while writing scripts. I should have learned by now that the anime I put on the side are ones that I really come to enjoy.

This is a relaxing show to watch. Yuna befriends many people, not just in her new hometown, but people in regions that she visits on her many adventures. The show really develops a sense of Found Family through Yuna accepting Fina as an apprentice and taking on a big sister role. In her previous life, Yuna mainly played games and was estranged from most of her family. She doesn’t seem to have much connection to others prior to Fina, and after her, she collects friends by the dozen. She becomes a guardian for a group of orphans, takes on an older sister role for young girls, and even helps relocate multiple families to her region to help them set up restaurants, making sure to house and support them in every way.

Yuna finds purpose in protecting those around her and takes on every quest no matter where she is to save people she doesn’t even know because she grows to hate seeing innocent people suffer. She goes from a girl who only carried about her game stats to someone who throws herself into danger.

I think that this show is aimed a bit more towards a younger audience, but I still enjoyed it at my old age of 24. The bear suit Yuna wears might be cute, but it truly is overpowered. She can fire off magic with her paw gloves and store an endless amount of materials, like a Black Viper. Yuna mentions in multiple episodes that without her bear suit, she is just a weak teenage girl. One of the best abilities is her two bear summons who become adorable key players throughout the show. These things can shrink down to cub size and are incredibly strong.

Right now, this show has two seasons and I was able to watch all of them spread out over about 4 days. This was such an amazing show that I just did not want to stop watching. It was just so easy to watch, there was no hard-to-follow plot or random obscure moments scattered throughout that made the show a little too out there.

There were moments, mainly when Yuna would do something overwhelmingly nice for someone, that would pull at my heart and it really made me feel something. I never would have thought in a million years that an anime that follows a girl dressed in a bear suit would make my eyes water, but here we are. There are moments where the characters show real emotion and that combined with the light-hearted majority of the show makes this a perfect watch.

Who would I recommend this anime to?

So first things first, who would I recommend this anime to? I would recommend this anime to anyone who wants a calm slice of life. The progression of the show breaks down to a “dilemma of the week” type of deal with Yuna tackling different issues plaguing those around her. There is an inkling of a main overall story, but most of that ties to the building up of the town and Yuna learning new abilities she gets from leveling up.

This show may not have anything major to keep track of, but it does hit you with the accessional emotional moment when something extremely sweet and happy happens, this is typically tied to developing a character and helping you become more invested. I never would have expected a show focusing on cute bears to be something that would make me tear up multiple times. This show does an amazing job of blending light-hearted moments mixed with emotional ones that pull at your heart.

The girls

Today was the day that Blackpink was meeting up with Twice since they haven't seen each other in real life for a while now due to their tours. But thankfully they can now because they were both on break from their busy touring schedule.

Currently in Twice's dorm all of the girls got ready quickly so they weren't getting ready at the very last minute for Blackpink. Well all except Nayeon, poor Mina was having to deal with the restless and regressed girl. "Nayeon, please calm down. You don't want to not be able to hang out with Jennie, do you?" Mina asked while she was trying to put on Nayeon's shirt. When Nayeon heard Mina's words she immediately stopped her movements and she gasped loudly. "No way I wanna see Nini today" Nayeon said in confidence and she decided to let Mina get her ready for the day without any fuss.

Something similar could be said for what was happening in Blackpink's dorm, Jennie was making Jisoo's life very easy as she was very relaxed but that was only because she woke up a few minutes ago but Jisoo wasn't complaining about it. On the other hand, Rosé was having to chase after an excited Lisa. "Lisaaaa, get back here or else we can't see Twice today" Rosé explained through heavy breaths. "Hmm... Fine mama but I see them now" Lisa waddled back to where Rosé stood, she was then calm throughout the changing process but she immediately got back to being a massive bundle of pure energy.

Back at Twice's dorm, Nayeon was staring at the door intensely, it was as if she was having a staring contest with the door. "When's Nini coming over?" Nayeon asked as she was starting to become impatient despite her only waiting five minutes. "I don't know Nayeon they said soon. Also you're probably going to have to play with Lisa too since both her and Jennie are feeling little today" Jihyo pre warned Nayeon about the second thing she said so Nayeon wouldn't be worried or confused about why Lisa was wanting to play with them. But as if on queue there was a knock on the door.

Jihyo opened the door and there stood Jisoo with a peaceful Jennie in her arms and Rosé who was struggling to keep Lisa in her arms since the girl was moving a lot. "Come in guys it's been so long since we caught up." Jihyo welcomed them inside and Rosé immediately placed Lisa down, who ran all over the house until she dived onto the couch where Nayeon sat. This was different to Jennie who only tried to wriggle out of Jisoo's hold when she saw Nayeon, Jisoo obviously allowed her to be with Nayeon.

So while Rosé, Jisoo and Jihyo talked to each other, Nayeon, Jennie and Lisa watched The Grinch together since Christmas was nearing and they were in a festive mood. "Whatchu wearing on your head Nay?" Lisa questions Nayeon and she pointed at Nayeon's hat. "Lili it's a bunny hat" Jennie says before she goes back to watching the movie, Nayeon nodded her head in agreement. "Yep it's my bunny hat, I put it on today because I was told that I look cute" Nayeon grinned when she told Jennie and Lisa about her hat. "Woah I have one in bwack." Lisa giggles softly when she finds out that she has something similar to Nayeon.

Once the movie ended, the three girls decided to have a really intense drawing competition, it didn't have a set topic to draw about so it was free for all. Nayeon decided to draw her dog Kookeu because she loved him a lot, Jennie was about half way through drawing her dog Kuma when she decided to have a power nap since she did already draw her other dog Kai. Meanwhile Lisa didn't actually decide to draw all of her pets, she actually decided to draw a fairy but it kinda looked like a weird butterfly. When they had all finished they were thinking about who should judge them "What if Rosie and Chaengie pick as they awe awtists" Jennie suggested and Nayeon and Lisa both agreed with Jennie's idea.

With that in mind, the trio went on a hunt for Chaeyoung and Rosé so they could pick the rightful winner. When they were both found they were brought to Nayeon's room so the decision could happen. "Oh wow they all look so special and unique" Chaeyoung says when she looks at the three pieces of art that were shoved in her face. "Yeah I think we need to decide who we think should win" Rosé nods her head in agreement of Chaeyoung, they both then whispered to each other about what they should do.

After a lot of deliberation they decided on a winner. "Alright we think that all of your drawings are amazing so don't be upset at the result. But we think that Jennie wins because she drew two things instead of one." Chaeyoung explains, she waited for the yelling and crying but she was only met with happy cheers coming from all three of them but mainly Jennie because she won.

When Jennie was declared the winner Lisa and Nayeon shoved Chaeyoung and Rosé out of the room and they decided to have a mini celebration for Jennie winning the drawing competition since it was only fair for the winner to get something other than a simple pat on the back. And for the rest of their time together they had lots of fun playing games or watching shows together.

Hello I hope you guys have an amazing morning, noon or night whenever you're reading this. I'm also sorry for not posting if I'm honest I have been meaning to post this for a few days now but I completely forgot and it obviously wasn't until today that I decided to fully remember and write this.

Our Little fronted this morning to help us get through a rough patch. He wasn't there on purpose but he likes making coffee* and breakfast stuff and since we were down there anyway, here he was.

He looked around downstairs and saw lots of things to do, lots of work to get done, on a day that we had decided to do nothing and he got frustrated. He's the kind of little guy who wants a Project if he doesn't have his Routine, so he jumped into cleaning up the living room - we have a lot of boxes that need sorting and cleaning out so he jumped into that while breakfast cooked and coffee brewed.

After a while he started getting crankies, as kids often do. He's only 8 after all and 8 year-olds who haven't had breakfast get hangry easily, and he tried to push someone else front.

It didn't work.

It's always worked before for him.

Our Little has never in his existence (and he's been around longer than most of us, including me, the one who most people would consider the host these days) been front-stuck. But here it was, and he panicked.

He's also never had a panic attack.

He threw himself in the La-Z-Boy chair we rescued from the side of the road two weeks ago and laid it flat, breathing hard and staring at the ceiling, repeating out loud "I don't want to be here" loudly and softly over and over and all I could think was "Oh, I get you, buddy." I was trapped inside and it was like banking on hard plexi-glass trying to get out to help.

And then I heard our mouth say "I get you, buddy" in my voice, not his. So I said it again even though I couldn't feel the body, couldn't feel the connection. Our Little's eyes widened - I could see and then feel it happen. I could feel his heartbeat slow down ever so slightly and when I felt his breath I started doing the breathing.

"I am Kuma" I said out loud even though I most decidedly was not yet Kuma. He nodded and then stopped when I suggested he needed to let me control the body.

I repeated my name several times. I felt him fade back. I felt gratitude. He had been so scared. He didn't want to be front anymore but couldn't get back to his safe place and had always been able to retreat there before, had always, always had a safe place to go. Even though it had only been taken away for maybe ten minutes he hadn't been sure for those ten minutes if it was gone forever or not, and for those ten minutes he couldn't hear any of us when normally he can feel us like a hug wrapped around him.

Poor little dude. But I wanted to say here: He did so well. He put himself in a safe spot. He breathed. He relaxed enough that he got us there to help him.

I'm proud of my Little headmate and just wanted to share.

*I forgot about the coffee until I wrote this line, thankfully it was still on "stay warm" so I hadn't forgotten for too long. (Little is still grumbling about the wasted effort of needing to go back down and up the stairs, however - he was trying to save us trips since stairs are hard for us. Thank you little man, sorry for messing up.)
