#The boy and the heron#how do you live#studio ghibli#ghibli#in all honesty that movie was legitimately so fantastic and im like changed as a person#Story wise as well! It hits really hard if you know a bit about miyazaki and his legacy. Its a very personal movie i think#And you can feel it in every aspect#The eng dub voice actors were really good as well and the animation was beautiful as always#Also really loved the tone!!! The story really relied a bit on the use of negative space in both sound and pacing and i enjoyed that alot#in conclusion go read a article about miyazaki and his son and then go watch the movie it’s probably going to be one of my favorites#image id in alt

#she called me today#not gonna see her on Friday#i am the worst#I will deffo go on Friday but I am going to have to drag myself#i overthink everything when i like someone#i like to look at something#assess it#understand that it is categorically not going to happen#and then think ‘but what if it happened to me?’#and then let my mind do the rest#a schizoid type of love. desperately looking for patterns that aren’t there#for example during our call she was ending her sentences with a giggle for a bit. Kind of a lot. but it was a short call#really beautiful sound#and I’ve been on the other ends of phone calls where I’m doing a friendly haha at the end when I just want it to be over#because (and I know I’m the worst I know) IT IS LITERALLY HER JOB#so that’s why she does it#but you know it also sounded like other phone calls I’ve made. where I want to show that I’m interested and focused but also light and airy#laughing just like that#she doesn’t know. She wouldn’t talk like this to me if she knew. and I’m just a guy with big brown eyes and a little charm#that’s why she’s nice to me#social mores. it can’t be any other reason. #star wars#the original trilogy#boba fett#darth vader#hi. sorry for star war jumpscare. genuinely#i feel like ive kinda been on an art hiatus lately due to health stuff#i got diagnosed with a parathyroid disease recently (wahoo) so now i know why i have been feeling so bad! need more tests though#anyway. in the mean time most of the entertainment my brain can handle has been like. youtube clip compilations of shows and movies#not even the actual shows or movies. literally just sections of them on youtube#i wish i was joking#the only reason i know what happens in succession is because i have watched it in disjointed order in youtube compilations. not joking#anyway so ive learned a lot more about star wars than i ever. thought i would#mostly just the original trilogy and prequels. some of the old comics & books are interesting too#(sick to my stomach) i like darth vader he has like the same personality as ganondorf except he had no good reason for doing anything#when vader/anakin does literally anything weird or unacceptable it like. makes me laugh so hard its like jerma when he sees a car accident#boba fett’s costume design has been rotating in my head a lot too it’s very good#he’s very colorful and like. matte/unpolished compared to vader and it makes them a cool duo visually#those 2 are my favorites. vader why is the space cowboy the only person aside from sidious or tarkin who is allowed to get mad at you#sidious is my 3rd favorite. he sucks so bad as like a person that you just. you have no expectations of him except just being evil#so its just really funny like everything he does is horrible and he’s so happy all the time like good for him#i’m making it sound like ive never seen star wars before. i have i just never really cared about it until i got an endocrine disorder lmao#but yeah idk art may continue to be slow while im figuring out treatment stuff#if anyone reading this also has or has had hyperparathyroidism im wishing the strength & radiance of 1000 beautiful horses upon you

You know when you watch movies set in the past or fantasy movies, and when you get the epic pre-battle scenes you inevitably ask yourself why do they need all those drummers and stuff when all those men playing could be given a sword or something and be added to the troops? I am currently visiting a medieval festival and I just heard an exibition of war drums and I feel like I could run a half marathon. The drummers make so much sense.
#honestly it was one of the most beautiful things i have seen#it was an amazing performance#i do not enjoy loud sounds at all but for some reason this exibition worked so well with my brain i felt hypnotized#and after it was done i truly could have gone running around#it was so so good#i am hoping there will be more of these exibitions tomorrow because i really want to experience it again#and overall the rest of the music that is played live by people walking around the streets is so fucking good i am ascending#i normally get sleepy very early but tonight with the medieval tunes all around me i could have powered through a few more hours ngl#cris speaks#the---hermit
