Like a week later you’ve hung out with them a bit more and realized they’re actually really chill but they don’t have their memories still. A while later they come up to you and they’re like “Y/N! I realized why I was so fixated on George Washington!” And your like “oh is it because you grew up with a weird family” and they’re like “No! It’s because of my kin memories from when I was best friends with him 200 years ago”

Just realized how insane Player must seem to Remus

Can you imagine passing by a statue of like. George Washington. Or whatever, some founding father type guy. and someone you found passed out and abandoned with no memory gets like strangely intensely emotional about the statue of George Washington. WAIT I remembered another one I hate it when people try to make Saïx some type of maternal figure to roxas and xion, especially when it’s immediately after kh3 (usually this also aligns with Xion being possessed by the writer to tell the audience that it’s ok that saïx did everything because he was sad). I don’t think Mr. Rage-and-jealousy would immediately be the best mom to kids-he-was-angry-at-and-jealous-of

3. was there any specific point / any specific moment that suddenly made this character your Blorbo, or did you slowly grow to love them more and more until they became a Blorbo to you?

I kind of mentioned this in my ask from thetwilightroadtonightfall, but I’ll got more in detail here!

Honestly, I did not care at ALL about saix until like. A month after kh3. Then it all hit me like a shotgun barrel to the face. I actually have the half finished essay I wrote in the middle of class about him from high school

^excerpts from a younger, more foolish time, when I thought my obsession would last less than four years

I think my growing fondness for him went something like “oh hey I know that guy from kh fandom stuff->haha divorce so silly->what->what->WHAT DID HE JUST SAY???????->WHATTTT??->replaying the games (normally)->oh I’m cooked” and the rest is history.

7. what’s the one thing the fandom gets wrong about your Blorbo?

Honestly a lot of things but here are my three least favorites

1)Saïx did everything wrong!!! He was an evil conniving freak that did all that for no reason!! (<-me when I don’t understand that people in bad situations who are being manipulated probably aren’t gonna turn out as perfect angels)

2)Saïx did nothing wrong!! Every action he took in days and KH2 and DDD was a direct and clear result from him being possessed by Xehanort!! And just Xehanort!! Saïx is actually a so so good guy, he just had no agency for. All of the games!! (<-me when I don’t understand what a character arc is. And also me when I don’t want my favorite morally grey character who is introduced as an antagonist to be a morally grey antagonist. )

3) Saïx is an unforgivable character and should have been abandoned by his friends!! Because he was mean!! (<-me when I don’t understand like. The core values of the entire game series)

In other words I don’t like when people absolve him of his agency, in defense of him or condemnation

6. if you could talk to your Blorbo, what would you say to them?

IF ITS SAÏX:no words I instantly try to kill him. Unfortunately I am 5’1” and have never entered a gym in my life so I do -2 damage and he ignores me since he has better things to do. I try again and this time he crushes my skull in and gets demyx to clean up the mess. Of course demyx does not do it cause it’s gross so it has to be some poor dusks problem. Tragic!

IF ITS ISA:I would like to shake his hand and give him a word of encouragement. Suggest a hobby maybe. He needs that. I think he would like something that’s a bit time intensive and takes a lot of focus but makes something useful in the end. Idk what though I just want him to have goals outside of being useful to people

4. what’s the thing you love the most about your Blorbo?

Saïx is really fun as someone who likes to analyze their blorbos, he’s got a nice mix of mattering in the plot and not mattering that makes him very fun to have headcanons and thoughts about

(example of this: if I was to say something about the period of time inbetween BBS and days, I would have enough evidence to make something that is in character and impactful and loosely agreed upon by fans of the character, but not enough evidence and general influence to the overall story for it to be in conflict to his actual story or contested. It gives me a lot of freedom which I appreciate!)

(Also, I’m just a really big fan of characters that are so intensely devoted to something/someone that they lose themselves in it. It’s like my favorite thing ever)

25. how did you first discover your Blorbo?

I think I saw him through the fandom before I started playing the games? I had a general inkling about his existence from fan content, but I never really got immersed in any of that until I started playing, so my first real exposure to him was playing kh2 at 2am during summer vacation. He had zero impact on me until like a month after I beat kh3 too lol.
