He wasn’t at all nervous to meet John (or was it Tim?), but when he sees the sharpest, most beautiful grey eyes paired with a confused facial expression and more than a hint of annoyance, the butterflies burst to life.

James and Sirius pretend to be a couple on Valentine’s Day to get couple’s discounts and they find it so entertaining that Remus and Regulus don’t have the heart to tell them they could literally just use their actual boyfriends instead

For once, James wished he could be loved the way he loved other people.

For once James wished he could be loved with that wide eyed stare, with racing hearts and shaky laughter.

Just once James wished he could be looked at like he hung the moon and hand painted the stars across the sky.

James wanted to be loved like the world was ending, like they would never get another chance to love again.

For once, just once, James wanted to be wanted.

He yearned to be desired the way he desired others.

It wasn't fair.

James held all of this emotion, all of this care for everyone around him.

Was it too much to ask for it in return?

Was it too much to ask that for once in his life he would be the subject of this undivided affection?

Maybe it was.

Maybe James was strange, maybe he cared too much and held back too little.

Maybe his eyes were too wide, maybe his laughter too loud.

Maybe his love would do nothing but scare others away.

Could he live with that? With the knowledge that he would never be craved the way that he wished he could be?

He wasn't sure.

It wasn't as though he had a choice in the matter.

You can't force people to love you. You can throw yourself in their path, let them see the best and the worst of you.

But you can't make them adore you the way you long to be adored.

It was a sad affair, the love life of James Potter.

Always too much, never quite enough.

He wondered if it would get easier with age.

He found that hard to believe.

Sometimes I think about Florist James opening up his shop next to Regulus Tattoo shop, so that they can see each other during break.

Extra point if Sirius is also a Tattoo artist working together with Regulus.

And when a new employee starts to work for James, Sirius start to spend an ungodly amount of time in the Flower shop just so he can swoon over Remus.

Headcanon that at at Edmunds or Tommy’s flat or wherever Remus grew up, the younger kids loved him particularly a group of like second grade girls, they like adopt him as their brother. During this they teach him how to braid hair to the point where he can easily do the most complicated types of braids really fast. This is a little off topic but imagine him wherever he is (maybe even Hogwarts) at seventeen, at least six feet tall with all the scars and a brown leather jacket just sitting in a circle braiding some young kid’s hair. ANOTHER REASON HE IS THE CASANOVA.

My point is. Imagine one day when Sirius has grown his hair long and everyone’s sitting in the common room, suddenly Remus gets really bored, he’s tired and needs something to do so without second thoughts he grabs Sirius’s hair and starts silently braiding it, PERFECTLY. Everyone around falls silent because WTF?! Sirius is panicking and trying to keep a straight face cause HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT, half of the common room is exploding because WOLFSTAR IS HAPPENING I REPEAT WOLFSTAR IS HAPPENING. And the other half is losing their shit because REMUS CAN BRAID HAIR?!!!

James, newly discovering he is bi, is sure that he would be into buff, athletic men that could give him a run for his money in quidditch.

Instead, he passes by the library one evening while heading to the great hall. He glances in, and sees Regulus, tucked into the corner of the biggest bay window, reading a book. The moonlight makes his pale skin glow, and his dark eyes seem to blend in with the night behind him. His jaw line looks sharp enough to cut, with his hair curling just below it. James watches entranced as Regulus' sweater cuff slips down his wrist as he tucks the hair back behind his ear. Huh. He has a freckle on his forearm. James kind of wants to kiss it. James kind of wants to kiss his face too.

And then James realizes he's stopped walking. He also realizes that he may not be into burly men.

He's into his brother's brother.

Regulus is not a funny person BUT when he’s stressed his sarcasm turns into humor instead, sort like a coping mechanism. Which makes everyone highly confused during a high stake situation.

No one can change my mind about this.

I'm leaning towards moonwater rivals to friends to lovers because it's usually sunseeker in Reggie horcrux fics.

now I need to write an intelligent witty cunning ambitious character that is actually smart and has profound thoughts. Smart characters are the hardest to write in my opinion.

I think that Wolfstar was actually amazing at keeping their relationship a secret (bc they've both kept very big secrets in the past), but Jegulus was awful at keeping their relationship a secret bc u could visibly see that both reg and James were happier now and someone (sirius) found out within the first week of them dating
