i think one of my many gripes about being a girl is being expected to know certain things and then being scolded for not knowing things. i am expected to know how to set the tv on its stand or on the wall when i was never allowed to even touch it beyond its side controls five minutes before i was asked to fix it. i am expected to know how to fix a computer's system unit when i was told off from touching anything aside the power button growing up. i am expected to know how a multitude of other things work when i was always scolded for asking questions or trying to open up my toys to see their working when growing up. i am expected to know how to set up a house from scratch, that springs belong with foam in a sofa, how to set up an internet connection, how to take off a wall socket and fix the wiring behind it, and so on when i was not allowed anything beyond setting up the kitchen, turning the wifi router on/off, and never answered when i asked why some plugs have two pins while some have three.
#not to mention that i was scolded when my credit card details got stolen just a few days ago#i was never even taught how finances work let alone a bank account#i was alone in a foreign country googling bank basics and the difference between a debit and credit card right before i leftbehind my teens#all i knew was how to serve food in a room full of people because apparently thats more important than basic life skills#how can you forget to raise a child to survive alone in the world and then get mad at the child for that later on#same with the washing machine. i was told i should only know how to operate it then got scolded for not knowing how to set it up#im not joking when i say i feel like i was cheated out of life#never even got to play outside except for a few times and now i feel out of place in nature#i cant even touch a tree without feeling like im touching some kind of alien#there is so much to do in life. so much to heal. so much to fix. and so little time.#zuri rambles#when i get my own house im gonna fix and set up everything by myself and i am going to be brave about it

Actually no you know what, I'm still thinking about last Sunday's sermon. In like the least three minutes, the pastor managed to pounce on my absolute biggest insecurity as a Christian, but more on that anon.
The whole sermon was supposed to be about young men, which I expected to feel like being dragged backwards by the hair through beds of hot coals embedded with broken glass (you know, like usual) because I happen to have boys that I know I'm not raising well. And there was a certain amount of squirming, but he also interspersed a few how-to's in with his "Here's what your Happy Christian Family (tm) should look like! 😃😃 But don't worry if it doesn't, you can always get there 😁" (which always leaves me screaming "HOW! How do I get from HERE to THERE" but I digress) which was a nice change of pace.
But he kept going off on tangents that were just... encouragement? And admittedly I don't know how much I would've gotten out of it if I hadn't been praying about exactly that the previous night. But one of the passages that came to me right after I was done praying (or while I still was kinda?) was Joseph on that throne in Egypt looking at his brothers and saying "What you meant for evil God intended for good" and then the pastor the next morning was like "and Joseph was there in Egypt and was telling his brothers what you meant for evil God meant for good" and I was all *Leonardo di Caprio pointing meme*
BUT ANYWAY in the last couple of minutes he was like
"So the charge is simply: believe the blessing. He's putting the blessing upon you. He's blessing you; He knows all about you. And He's blessing you. He's pleased with you.* So, that's the charge. Believe the blessing. Receive the blessing, with believing hearts. Now - the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and grant you His peace. And amen."
*me, still blubbering over "He's pleased with you" (I have a really, really, really hard time with that one. What do you MEAN He's pleased with me, that's impossible, have you seen me?!?! I am nothing but a failure and a disaster top to bottom.
Anyway.)
#Nattering into the void#King's Cross Moscow#The biggest hurdle for me with - not only this church; all the churches I know of do it - is that everything is preached from the#assumption of two Christian parents who are both doing their best and have a large and steady support system#(And frankly also comfortable finances although I'm not sure that one is at all conscious)#There's just not... Sunday preaching geared towards#My unbelieving husband/spouse waltzed off and I am trying to raise#the kids alone on a shoestring budget with a minimal support system#(Which is admittedly more of a support system than I had this time two years ago or even a year ago)#(I love you all so much)#I'm not really sure where I'm going with this#Just that it's nice sometimes to hear that He's pleased with me even if I'm currently incapable of believing it even a little

i feel like a harm reduction mindset should be applied to most things. like, harm reduction as in "i am giving you the researched and objective facts of your [x often perceived risky behavior] so you can make your own informed decisions, free of judgement or moralization on my part." like im not even talking about stuff like health or whatever im straight up talking about personal finance courses. why do so many of them just tell you what to do without giving you the full scope of what your choices are or how some legal stuff works.
#trying to educate myself on finance recently since i got a raise at work and im earning more money than i ever had before#despite still being below the poverty line on my income alone lol#but anwyays my parents suck at finance and are 40k in debt and im 40k in school debt and my brother is 17k in school debt so i think i kind#need to start taking care of my finances esp since i help my family lmfao

first I'm forced to learn about stocks just to manipulate the market in this stupid rpg maker game (affectionate) and now I'm having stupid thoughts like "huh wonder how bitcoins are minted" and "So it's just GPUs playing lottery?" while brushing my teeth or taking a piss
#I am NOT turning into a financebro I'm just#curious#The spirit of vlad the younger get out of my fucking body#They bait you in with the cute bald elf and then sweep the rug from under you and throw you amidst the stocks area#now I have to actually win and raise the value of my property as a landowner in order to get my happy lesbian ending#And now I'm fucking curious about crypto aaaaaaa#you can sell things at a loss if you happen to be a shareholder in the company because even tho you're losing money#The company value will raise and you'll make back what you lost in record times#And if you sell the products at an even greater loss—and assuming demand meets supply—you can artificially inflate its value#Sell all and cash in before washing your hand off of the product and watch it all come crashing down#I love math but finance is evil math and it makes me sad but very intrigued#it's like dark forbidden blood magic#the worst (best tbh) part about this game is that I start recognising the same predetory tactics I abused ingame but irl by big companies#and I just a peasent.#btw game name is “final profit: a shop rpg” it's full of lesbians I adore it#the single time I've been forced to play as an elf without hating my existence#humanz4lyfe#except when it's the fae queen Mab <3 she gets an exception#But for the rest it's ON SIGHT#♧other#♧other fandoms#♧final profit

I wanted so badly for my job to fire me so I could be able to search for a new one without struggling, but last month the hr lady called me to say they're giving me a raise, so I guess it's not happening anytime soon
#a bit baffled about this raise since they're giving it only for a few people who they consider very good#and this surprises me because i thought i was seen as subpar at most doing the bare minimum but i guess there's people doing even less lol#even with a raise the money is still not a lot... what holds me in this job besides the fear of being unemployed longer than my finances#could support me is that i live near so i don't have to catch the bus and i get home early

What is Mutual Fund?
A mutual fund is a type of investment vehicle that pools money from multiple investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of securities such as stocks, bonds, and other assets. Investments in securities are spread across a wide cross-section of industries and sectors and thus the risk is reduced.
It is managed by a professional fund manager or an asset management company (AMC) who makes investment decisions on behalf of the investors.
Mutual funds offer good investment opportunities to the investors. Like all investments, they also carry certain risks
SEBI formulates policies and regulates the mutual funds to protect the interest of the investors.
OVERVIEW OF MUTUAL FUNDS INDUSTRY IN INDIA
The mutual fund industry in India was set up through a combination of regulatory changes, legislative reforms and the entry of various market players.
Unit Trust of India- UTI was founded in 1964, which is when the mutual fund sector in India first started to take off. To mobilize public funds and invest them in the capital markets, UTI was established as a statutory body under the UTI Act, 1963. The idea of mutual funds was greatly popularized in India because to UTI.
Regulatory Framework-In India, the mutual fund industry's regulatory structure began to take shape in the 1990s. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Act, which established SEBI as the governing body for the Indian securities markets, was passed in 1993. Among other market intermediaries, SEBI was responsible with regulating and supervising mutual funds.
The SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations,1996- This regulation established the legal foundation for the establishment, administration, and operation of mutual funds in India. These regulations outlined the standards for investor protection, investment restrictions, disclosure requirements, and eligibility requirements for asset management companies (AMCs).
Introduction of Private Sector Mutual Funds: UTI was the only active mutual fund provider in India prior to 1993. Private sector mutual funds were nevertheless permitted to enter the market as a result of the liberalization of the financial sector and the opening up of the Indian economy. Many domestic and foreign financial organizations launched their own AMCs and entered the mutual fund industry.
Product Line Evolution: The mutual fund sector in India has grown and increased its product selection throughout the years. Mutual funds initially mainly offered income and growth opportunities. To address various investor needs and risk profiles, the industry did, however, offer a wider range of products, such as equity funds, debt funds, balanced funds, and specialist sector funds.
Investor Education and Awareness: Serious efforts have been made to educate and raise investor awareness in order to encourage investor involvement in mutual funds. Industry groups, AMCs, and SEBI have run investor awareness campaigns, distributed instructional materials, and supported systems for resolving investor complaints. Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) were introduced, and this was a significant factor in luring individual investors
Technological Advancements-The mutual fund sector in India has embraced technological development, making it possible for investors to access and invest in mutual funds through online platforms and mobile applications. Investors can now transact, track their investments, and get mutual fund information more easily thanks to digital platforms.
The mutual fund industry in India has developed into a strong and regulated sector through regulatory changes, market competition, and investor-centric initiatives. The sector keeps expanding, drawing in more investors and providing them with a wide variety of investment possibilities around the nation.

i have to compile all the development i've done with @forlibcrty but birch is well and truly one of the most fucked characters in the entire series for what he did to the kenways. like there is so much i could say but one of the things we were rolling around was the fact that birch, obsessed as he is with the precursors, was probably equally intrigued by the rumours of some assassins being able to activate pieces of eden or see isu symbols, and this contributed to him wanting to acquire an assassin child for himself. haytham's conclusion that birch was in it for the money rings hollow to me when it's clear that 1) the money quickly ran out and 2) a lot of it was spent indoctrinating and housing haytham. and buying that fuckass chateau.
