he says i hate everyone except you and that is addictive and that is kind of romantic and beautiful because you're young and you're kind of a sarcastic asshole too and you don't like bad boys, per say, but you don't really like good ones either. and you like that you were the exception, it felt like winning.

except life is not a romance book, and he was kind of being honest. he doesn't learn to be nice to your friends. he only tolerates your family. you have to beg him to come with you to birthday parties, he complains the whole time. you want to go on a date but - people are often there, wherever you're going. he's just so angry. about everything, is the thing. in the romance book, doesn't he eventually soften? can't you teach him, through your own sense of whimsy and comfort?

at first - you know introverts often need smaller friend groups, and honestly, you're fine staying at home too. you like the small, tidy life you occupy. you're not going to punish him for his personality type.

except: he really does hate everyone but you. which means he doesn't get along with his therapist. which means he has no one to talk to except for you. which means you take care of him constantly, since he otherwise has no one. which means you sometimes have to apologize for him. which means he keeps you home from seeing your friends because he hates them. you're the single exception.

about a decade from this experience, you'll type into google: how to know if a relationship is codependent.

he wraps an arm around you. i hate everyone except you. these days, you're learning what he's actually confessing is i have very little practice being kind.

feeling like the only one who doesnt want reverse sonamy for the movies </3

or more accurately, fine sonic can have an obvious crush on her but i dont want ‘reverse sonamy’ to mean ‘amy doesnt have a crush on sonic.’ she can be lowkey about it or whatever (like sonic is sometimes in the games/other media) but to me part of Who She Is is that shes this super cool, super strong, intelligent fighter but shes also still a young girl who has crushes and believes in fate and is guided by her compassion, not by her strength or her mission or her love of adventure.

shes such a good character because while she is physically strong and possibly slightly magic, those are equally as important as her love and compassion and care for the world and people around her. preserving amys girlhood is important to me like loving sonic isnt her single defining character trait bc she ‘has to have a crush on a guy’ but it is a main character trait because thats just who she is. a loving person who sees the good in the world and wants to protect it and loves sonic because she sees him as the embodiment of that

Extremely controversial opinion, but I think people who don’t have the time or energy or wherewithal to brush a dog should stop acquiring dogs with coats that require brushing.

#it fills me with actual rage #that almost every time someone brings in a large double-coated dog it’s burdened with an obscene amount of matted undercoat #it’s so stupid and hard and exhausting for both the groomer and the dog to have to undo those months of neglect in one afternoon #sometimes it’s impossible #and then after hours of washing and conditioning and blow-drying and brushing #the coat still has to be partially or completely clipped off and i hate it!!#it always looks so ugly!!#and these dogs are so rarely well prepared for grooming from a behavioral standpoint either #i’m just done #i’m not scheduling any more of these kinds of dogs again for a good long while or maybe for good #it just turns me too evil!!!#and this has been #juliana rants in the tags #thanks for tuning in <3

El to me is so very much a representation of female rage in an empowering way who also deserves rest. I love her gentle moments. Because she is ANGRY and she is allowed to express it. But it is also so sweet to see her in those soft moments. Where she doesn't have to. The quiet, calm moments when she doesn't have any to express.

She is strong and she is allowed to be strong. But at the end of the day, it's about how she shouldn't have to be.

Interest Call for Raging Loop Official Merch at the Pop Up Shop

From December 13th to December 22nd, 2024, there will be a Raging Loop pop up shop in Tokyo to celebrate its 9th anniversary! I happen to be going to Japan during this time, and will be buying merch for myself. Several people I know were interested in me purchasing extra merch for them, and given the sheer rarity of Raging Loop merch, I am more than willing to oblige.

To facilitate this, I have set up an "order form" of sorts (more of an interest form than anything) so I can figure out what people want. I don't need immediate payment or anything, but I will be requesting payment for the items you bought (+ shipping) once I do buy them for you. There are so many items that I'll put most of them below the cut, but I'll put the primary interest for most people above the cut. That is....
