Something weird I've noticed is that all the "bad" or "terrible" or "deranged" communities are the ones that have been the most kind.
When you're radqueer and join a radqueer server, their aren't any rules/messages that say "DNI if you like these fandoms, have these alters, have a disorder that makes you weirder than we'd personally feel comfortable with, have all these personal things that will never effect us or that we'll ever hear about but we're still mad about it anyways, blah blah blah", instead the only DNIs they have are the people who said all those mean, exclusionist things.
Those "good" communities claim to be accepting of everyone, including weirdos and freaks, but the second they are a weirdo or freak in a way they don't like they will immediately hate you without wanting to hear reason or explanations.
But all of those "bad" communities- I NEVER felt left out or like I was doing something wrong. When we as a system first looked into the radqueer community, we were expecting it to be as terrible as the antis said it to be, yknow, "child corn" and "πŸ‡ists" and "g0r3 l0v3r$" and shit, but it was actually just relatively normal people/things. The only difference was that they didn't gaf about what you identified as and wanted everyone to feel safe. It's why we ended up joining. Sure, we've met people who DID watch CSAM or rape people or watch gore, but either it wasn't as bad as we thought it was, or it was. But there are bad people in every community, EVER. No exceptions.
I can not remember a time we've been fakeclaimed in the "bad" community. I can not remember a time we've been afraid to be ourselves in the "bad" community. I can not remember a time someone shamed us for what we liked or who we are in the "bad" community. I can not remember a time I was afraid that sharing my opinions would get me doxxed, banned, hated, or blackmailed in the "bad" community.
I can remember numerous times we've been fakeclaimed in the "good" community. I can remember numerous times we were afraid to be ourselves in the "good" community. I can remember numerous times we've been shamed and hated for what we liked or who we were in the "good" community. I can remember numerous times we've been afraid of getting doxxed, banned, hated, or blackmailed for sharing my opinions in the "good" community.
I've only ever experienced love and support in the radqueer community. I can't say the same for ANY other community that claims to be accepting or inclusive. So, I'm not so sure about the radqueer community being the "bad" community. Maybe antis are the bad. Maybe radqueers are the good.
-DD (DareDevil)
P.S. To any radqueers reading this, you are valid. Don't be afraid to be yourself. The only ones in the wrong are antis. Here, we support you.

How exactly is being otherkin any different than being transracial by idea? I’m not pro-transracial, but I can’t really formulate an argument on where the difference is and why one is okay while the other isn’t
The difference, in my opinion at least, basically comes down to the fact that race and ethnicity are things other real people deal with and which have big cultural impact for a lot of people; species is not. You can't hurt theriform wolves by identifying as a wolf because wolves are not people and are not aware of any of this. Dragons may be people depending on the dragon, but they don't exist physically in this world to have an opinion. You can, however, hurt people of color by identifying as transethnicity and approaching it in a disrespectful way.
And I say it that way because if I'm honest, transethnicity is one of those transIDs where I'm... a little torn on it. I can understand the feelings and experiences they're describing, but I struggle to find a way to engage with the idea of being transethnicity that isn't going to wind up being racist in one way or another. And while I haven't exactly spent a ton of time in radqueer/transID spaces, when I've gone into their tags and such to do a little research on them, I have overwhelmingly seen transethnicity people being kind of if not extremely racist about it. The experiences are not inherently harmful, but it's really easy to slide into engaging with those experiences in a way that's harmful.
And yet... in this community we have, for example, fictionkin whose fictotypes are a different race than them all the time, and sometimes that's very important to who their fictotype is and how they view the world. And that works out fine. I think the primary difference is that fictionkin are generally expected to acknowledge that they're not a part of that group in the present and can't speak on the group's issues or experiences as if they were, whereas the minute you put a trans- label onto the word, the expectation is that you should be treating a trans[x] person as if they're [x]. (And if it's not, then... why are you calling it trans- anything to begin with when that's what trans- means in an identity context?)
So, I do genuinely believe that they're having these experiences, but... idk, there has to be a better way to frame and engage with those experiences. I don't know what that is, but it's got to be out there somewhere, though it may not be a one-size-fits-all answer. (And maybe there's a transID community out there that's found it, I don't know.)
Anyway, open invitation for POC to give their thoughts on this, since they've probably got better-constructed ones than me; if I'm honest, I haven't spent all that much time thinking about this issue. I think about it on and off here and there when it comes up and then it gives me a headache so I move on.

I honestly don't give a fuck whether somebody's proship or antiship or whatever the fuck. I always hate when people go "ERMMMM that artist is problematic cuz they PrOsHiP" ok why are you telling me this? I don't care. Find a real problem, I beg of you. If you really don't like something, just block it.
Like, I feel as if the only time people should care if someone's proship is if they endorse whatever problematic thing they're portraying IRL.

this might be a bad take or whatever but i mean it with my whole heart because i’ve had some time to think;
i’d rather follow and support 1,000 troll or bait accounts and extend them the benefit of the doubt, even if they β€œseem ridiculous”, than accuse one sincere transid being of being a fake because they β€œseem ridiculous”.
if you have conflicting identities i love you.
if you have ids that are β€œweird” by rqc standards i love you.
if you’ve ever been accused of being a troll i love you.
if you are in this community in sincerity and good faith i love you.

The Radqueer community is so fun to watch sometimes when you aren't really in any specific spot in the community.
Watching people fucking backflip through hoops to try and explain what is consensual and what isn't. People desperately trying to find a way to say transage people (or just anyone who isn't their legal age) aren't their age without actually saying that. The 500 different blankqueer labels (no hate to them they're literally just labels under the Radqueer umbrella at this point). People trying to say paraphiles don't belong in the community (????) or that people with certain contact stances don't belong in the community.
Like, wow, I should get some popcorn this is more drama than like. Half my life(/source) combined /nsrs

slowly realizing how flux i am on being transharmen . cause like earlier this morning im sitting there thinking about being hurt and how im probably permastalked/groomed/abused and how nice that would feel but last night i was just staring at transharmful posts and going oh . oh this is me . i like control and hurting people , i like making others feel lesser and like they cant live without me . lowk need someone flexible like that , or just a transharmful that isnt consistently harmful and feeds u a false sense of security . or one thats kinda pathetic so shoving them around and being toxic to them is still a possibility . oh the many ways one can conabuse ,,,
