They’re in the middle of walking down the sidewalk, on their way to the coffee shop a few blocks down, while Buck’s spouting facts about coffee roasting and different drinks, and how “an americano is actually an excellent drink and if people don’t know how to prepare it properly, they should just say that!”
He barely registers Tommy taking his wrist and smoothly moving him around to the side away from traffic. They continue walking, Tommy nodding along to all his facts, with a fond look on his face. “Did you know a blonde roast surprisingly has more caffeine than a dark roast? Most people assume a dark roast would have more, but no,” Buck explains. “It honestly just tastes bitter to me, but if you ever have that problem, you can add a bit of Himalayan or other salt and it counteracts some of the bitterness!” He finishes excitedly.
“I actually didn’t know that,” Tommy glances over at him, “that is pretty cool,” he smiles. “You’re really something, you know,” he breathes, voice full of affection.
Buck blushes, breath catching, like it does every time Tommy says something like that or looks at him like that. “Feel free to stop me, if I ever get too annoying,” he says. “I promise I won’t be offended!”
“Now why would I do that?” Tommy frowns. “Evan, I think you’re adorable, you know that- and when you talk so passionately about things that interest you? Well, you’re absolutely radiant.” He takes Buck’s hand in his and intertwines them. “So thank you, but by all means, always feel free to ramble with me.”
And what is Buck supposed to do, but give Tommy a blinding smile, and hope that he would always keep him?
It’s not until they get to the door of the coffee shop that realization stops Buck in his tracks. “Tommy?”
“Hm?” Tommy pushes the door open, waiting for Buck to walk through, but he’s still frozen outside.
“Before, did you… did you move me away from the street? Like, that old-fashioned gentleman-y move?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Tommy shrugs innocently, holding the door open for an older couple. “Ready for coffee?”
“Tommy!”

Am I the only one that actually agrees with Neil about season 2 being "quiet, gentle and romantic"? OBVIOUSLY not the final 15, but the rest was terribly sweet and so so so romantic.
The dancing? "I thought we carved it out for ourselves" "so did I"??? "Our car"????? Are you kiiiiidding me????
And- hear me out. What's more romantic than this:

i need claudia to haunt lestat but not in the overt, in your face way that dreamstat haunted louis. i need claudia to sit quietly just barely in sight. blurred in the background of every shot lestat is in. even if we don't always see her, he does. but if he tries to look at her directly she moves out of sight. she's gone. he has no chance to fix things with her because she's dead so he doesn't get to look her in the eyes anymore

Starlo's personality
I'm still confused about this man's 'true self,' gotta admit. How much of 'himself' IS there in 'North Star'?
What we know about real Star:
He's a nerd/geek obsessed with westerns; that's where he got the inspiration to build WE
He looks different than with the hat on and used to wear braces
Was shy in his teenage years around Ceroba (no idea how he acted normally) + couldn't confess to her
His mom (after killing him) says how he's never been the one to follow rules. I wonder what she meant by that. Rules, like, you're supposed to hate humans like everyone else or rules, like, no sneaking off to practice your shooting and lasso skills? Both?
Ed describes the 'old him' as a fearless leader and as a monster who could 'make his own fun in the little things' (you mean he used to be more humble but at the same time remained an ambitious risk-taker?)
Is insecure about where he comes from and what he looks like
We don't have enough info to know what he was like as a kid. I'm curious if absolutely everything about North Star is the opposite of Starlo (I don't think it is); both are kind and protective. Still, I can't help but wonder if the Starlo after Showdown, in both routes, is the real him or not. Maybe 50% yes and 50% no
Just from the end credits, the only thing I got about him was that he's kind and friendly and optimistic and charming (North Star is this way too, but more exaggerated). Nothing new
So maybe Starlo IS North Star, but more modest (aka not as exaggerated)
I'm curious about your thoughts guys.
Also I forgot to mention how he wanted to plan a PARTY for Kanako, in neutral says that the PARTY in the saloon was great (and the letter he sent was pretty charming), wants to accompany Ceroba in the Steamworks, is open about how he feels (immediately openly confronts Ceroba and calls her out; he's assertive), not afraid to get physical if it means protecting Clover & Martlet, can be pretty loud (like when he spotted Clover after sparing him in neutral, he was like "DEPUTY!!!"
I'm left wondering if all this is the real him or not. I think it is. Just maybe toned down a bit :) It's the only explanation for the fact he's been doing all this for a really long time and never showing signs of wanting to stop/that it exhausted him

I personally think that Kikyo would absolutely be thrilled that Illumi found himself a man he wants to marry as strong, handsome and fit to be Zoldyck as Hisoka.
Hisoka is strong enough to be considered an equal to a zoldyck, which means strength is no problem for him. And I don't know about you but the way he assassinated that terradin man that was threatening to reveal illumis identity at the end of the election arc? CHEFS. KISS. THATS A WHOLE ZOLDYCK WIFE RIGHT THERE. And Hisoka is a certain type of fucked up enough to be a Zoldyck, even if he is... mmm.. self aware. Even if he himself thinks zoldycks are a special kind of fucked up. He'd fit.
I always see people make silva and kikyo disagree with illumi marrying hisoka but i soooo heavily disagree. Like what is there NOT to be proud of in Illumi's marriage choice. There is not a single other character IN THE ENTIRE ANIME fit to be Zoldyck than Hisoka Morow and I will fight people on that.
Something a lot of people also don't realize is that the Zoldycks are not a family that discriminates in the slightest (this is a whole discussion on its own but examples are how Kikyo is from meteor city, the butlers are taken from anywhere as long as they have the skill to work and one of the people who attacked kukuroo mountain to hunt the zoldycks now works for them instead. The zoldycks didnt hesitate to hire that mf they fr dont gaf lmfao)
there are soooooooo many misconceptions about the zoldycks in general and i think thats what aids the whole "the zoldycks would HATE hisoka" thing but like. nah. they wouldnt.
I also think about how Kikyo found Silva at such a young age. I bet she was constantly nagging Illumi and asking when he'd get a partner himself. Now he's got it, Millukiiii ITS YOOOURRR TURRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!

hear me out, post-divorce girl!Dad Crowley
im not even kidding you guys, the best thing for Crowley after all this is just for him to be a girl Dad. Go find himself the weirdest most unhinged least likely up for adoption daughter to dump all his love onto. One who thinks snakes are awesome and who screeches happily when Crowley drives too fast and who thinks her Dad's the absolute coolest person on or off earth. She'll constantly be stealing his sunglasses or demanding her own pair so they match. No doubt she's obsessed with fungus and she probably draws the most fucked up stuff that Crowley then hangs around the flat, and she'll yell at the plants too with her hands on her hips. On nights after goofy dinners, Crowley will hoist her up on his shoulders and help her accurately place the glow-in-the-dark stars on her ceiling and softly answer every question she ever has. And it won't even phase her when sometimes her Dad is her Mom or her Parent for a while or vice versa.
And she'll be ready to full on throw hands with anyone who gives her Dad sad-face. She probably ends up biting Aziraphale when he eventually staggers back into the picture, and the Angel will have to contend with the fury of a real hellion for a while before she trusts him enough to let him anywhere near Crowley. Also i think her name should be Hanna.

i absolutely eat it UP that one of the reasons wwx is so hesitant to believe lwj has feelings for him is that he can't tell if lwj treats him with so much goodness and kindness because he's simply that good of a person or if there's ~something more to it~
and!! here's what gets me: he's 100% right to question that. because from all we know, lan wangji would still have protected and done everything he did even if he wasn't in love with wwx. it all comes down to his beliefs, and standing up to them by protecting him. wwx is afraid to jump to conclusions because his fears are genuinely very well based!

Forgive me if I'm a bit nervous about Gorgug this season. It's just that the last Zac Oyama pc was Colin Provolone, who was arguably one of his greatest D20 performances, if not the greatest.
Zac always does great with every pc he plays, but Colin was something else. He came out swinging with actions and words that were teeming with unspoken emotional baggage. The way Colin's presence affected the other pcs; there was this level of depth that I don't think I've seen in any of his other characters. It was understated and quiet in that signature "just a guy" way that he tends to be, while still captivating everyone instantly with just how raw it was.
Not to say we haven't seen emotional depth in Gorgug. It's just that, compared to the other Bad Kids, Gorgug's journey and progression as a character has been very... impersonal? Like, yes, he found his birth parents, and he found friends who appreciate him, and he faced his insecurities about his intelligence, and he navigated relationship troubles, and his trial through the claustrophobic bug-tunnels was a horrifically-uncanny parallel to how he's spent his entire life trying to make himself as small as possible.
But how much of that has actually changed him from the Gorgug we started with? I would agree that he's definitely happier with his life, given all the loving and supportive people that have been added to it when it used to be just him and his parents. And he's certainly grown into himself and become more self-assured in his abilities, even if he's still, and always will be, our anxious little guy. And there's nothing wrong with that. I've always liked how Gorgug was a representation of all the little things. The subtle acts and kindnesses that don't seem like much to most, but to some are everything.
We don't need another Bad Kid living in fear that their mouth could be shit-in at any moment. We've already got one-too-many.
All that being said, I just feel like Gorgug's personal story beats are much easier to sweep under the rug than everyone else's. He has the same soft and understated quality that Colin held, but they lack that extra oomph that pushed Colin over the edge from being just another guy in a series of dudes, to a character that the vast majority of us could not get out of our heads. He took someone who was anxious and softspoken, who ultimately never wanted to be violent— someone who is remarkably similar to Gorgug in many ways— and maintained that demeanor and core in Colin's character while still hitting us in the feels with character development at max velocity at every turn.
I think Zac gets better and better at this with every season that goes by. With each new character, there is always something that leaves me stunned in awe. And it's been, what, three? Four years since we last saw Gorgug?
I'm just,,, I'm cautiously optimistic but also going into a bit of a worry about what violence this man may inflict upon us

“When they follow the sidewalk rule” for Piarles 💙❤️
They’d been together for coming up to ten years, going from scrawny awkward teenagers figuring out their new feelings for each other to Formula One race winners, men with all the world at their feet and more money than either of them had ever dreamed of, but their love had never changed. Sometimes they both wondered who they might have been without the other, whether they’d have lost some of their humility or let fame take over, but when Pierre took his hand, Charles didn’t feel like someone the newspapers printed headlines about, someone with so much weight on his shoulders and so much pressure bearing down on him; he just felt like that same boy with butterflies in his stomach smiling at his best friend. The same boy with the same rituals, like Pierre still switching sides with him on the pavement to stay on the road side.
It had taken Charles a long time to even notice Pierre was doing it, because he never made a fuss or drew attention to it, but if they crossed or turned a corner and the road swung round, Pierre would step across to put himself between Charles and the road. The first time he’d clocked it was when they were about seventeen, when their relationship was in the early days and they were walking back from a date at one of Charles’ favourite pasta places in Monaco. It had been expensive for them at that point, but they’d saved up to splash out. Charles had started laughing and called Pierre out on it when he swapped, and Pierre had been half embarrassed that the little things he tried to do to take care of Charles had been spotted, but he’d never stopped.
Now they were walking back from that same spot, without having to blink at the prices on the menu, hand in hand through the familiar streets of Monaco. It was summer and the sun was only just sinking behind the harbour, a warm blue dusk settling over them and cars turning their headlights on as they passed. Pierre let go of Charles’ hand to step around him, picking the contact back up on the other side.
“Mon petit, I think by now you don’t need to protect me. I am taller than you.” Charles went on his tiptoes for a step as if to prove it, his arm bumping lightly against Pierre’s as he came back down. Since he’d outgrown Pierre, he’d taken to calling him the same affectionate nickname that Pierre used to tease him with back when Charles was a good head and a bit smaller than he was.
“Ah, but I am older. And stronger.” Pierre grinned his usual wolfish, satisfied grin, squeezing Charles’ hand gently in his.
“And so modest.” Charles rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t stop smiling all the same.
“I can’t protect you from much, chéri, but I will try to give you one less thing to worry about,” Pierre said in a more serious tone, and when Charles looked sideways at him he was staring off somewhere into the distance across the water, as he so often did when caught saying something soppy. Another thing that hadn’t changed.
Charles felt a warmth blossoming inside his chest and he leaned in to kiss Pierre’s cheek, a silent thank you for always being there. He felt lucky that their little rituals never died, that decades of friendship and years racing against each other in the fiercest motorsports competition in the world had never tainted their bond. His Maman always said it was the little things about Charles’ father that had mattered the most – the fact he knew how she had her coffee and that he’d always bring a glass of water up to bed every night because he knew she’d wake up thirsty. All these small ways of showing you paid attention felt so much more special than the grand gestures, so even if Charles was pretty sure he wasn’t in much danger from walking alongside the road, he adored that Pierre was still doing this ten years later, and hoped he always would.

While I intend this blog to remain a largely news-free space due to the constant hellstate of the world, let me be clear that I stand in full support of both the Palestinian and Jewish peoples who are currently experiencing relentless hate and suffering in these horrid times.
I am disgusted at the number of people, especially "progressives" on this website who have used this situation to spread both Islamophobia and Antisemitism. This goes double if you dared to reblog those "punch nazis/fascists <3" and "[x] are welcome here!" posts while in the next breath spreading dangerous fucking narratives that kill people.
So many people in online political spaces evidently see this as nothing more than a case of picking "sides", when ultimately what matters is supporting the oppressed against fascist governments and militias, wherever they are.
Common people will always have more alike with each other than their leaders. This is not a novel concept. Your activism should always be motivated by love and compassion first, and hatred second. If you use your beliefs as an excuse to find an acceptable target to vent your hatred towards regardless of the actual material outcome, you are no fucking activist.
You're a bigot.

Ryuji is so anxious in the beginning of the game :( hes so caught up in his head during the kamoshida arc; makes me think hes been like that for awhile, at least until u get a bit further in the game. The rumors, the self loathing, the whole stint w kamoshida; hes got too much on his brain and its kinda nice (and a little sad) that he starts sharing those anxieties and doubts the second hes in a safe space to do so.
