so there’s queer stories, and then there’s Queer Stories, ya know? like it’s one thing where you have a queer couple be as much in the spotlight as a straight couple would usually get, but it’s the stories that take the extra step and aren’t just “queer by character” but “queer by narrative” that really stick with me, if that makes sense—like one of the reasons why i like the ineffable husbands ship is that one of the show’s central themes is rejection of societally-imposed binaries, boundaries and roles in order to find true happiness, and that’s what really elevates the experience for me
