You Should Listen To: Brimstone Valley Mall, the recently-completed queer fiction podcast clocking in at 19 episodes of approximately 30 minutes each.
if you enjoy full-cast, full-sfx audio dramas and Y2K culture and demonic comedy, if you've ever worked in foodservice or retail or local music scenes, if you were queer and weird in highschool-- or if you just think the concept of 4 gay demons in a goth band who work at the mall and have to play a Y2K show in hell sounds fun-- you'll like it.
misroch, they/them, drummer: angry line cook from hell. owns and operates the hotdog counter in the food court, which definitely serves totally normal meat. there are NO human bodies in this kitchen, especially not in the freezer cut up into lots and lots of cylindrical pieces.
belzagor, she/her, bassist: quite literally the coolest person alive. also an inventor, engineer, alcoholic, depressed (and bisexual).
asmoraius, he/him, guitarist: vintage goth + flaming homosexual demon of lust. dramatique. operates the carousel.
trainee, she/her: just a normal human teenager who wants this hotdog counter to be a normal job.
damien (he/him) and raven (she/her): human goth teens who hang out at the mall and fuck around.
and baby... now it's time to find out.

without deep-diving into all the Things bc frankly i don’t think it matters and i’m on the verge of an emotional breakdown as it is… little bit increasingly overwhelmed by moolah happenings rn, so. offering free digital copies of my romcom books (full descriptions under the cut) to anyone who can donate smthn, just shoot me a DM!
(i am very aware that there are lots of other happenings around the world at present more deserving of donations. i’m just kinda outta carrots here, and here we are.)
ᴡʜᴀᴛ’ꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴠɪʙᴇ? : an adult store comedy/romance
What’s love at first sight without a little crisis of sexual identity?
Milo Lamoree is livin’ the glamorous life of a sex shop sales rep, forever explaining to grown adults what they should and should not be sticking inside of themselves and/or others. He’s not doing any sticking himself—his demisexuality hasn’t exactly enticed any “hot young singles in your area.” But considering his clientele’s whackadoo misconceptions about anatomy, etc., it’s not like Milo has the leftover energy to fall in love, anyway.
…Well, too bad.
Stevie Hart has heard it said that being bisexual means you have more options, meanwhile she has experienced that not at all. Her love life is all unsolicited—ahem—pics (you know the ones) and straight couples looking for an experimental third. No thanks. When you’re already managing your own debilitating agoraphobia, who has time to deal with whatever’s going on with those people? Falling in love isn’t worth the mess.
…Until it is.
Along with their meddling mutual friends, Possibly The Worst Ex In The World, and a totally bangin’ soundtrack, Stevie and Milo hit every major identity crisis (sexual, spiritual, existential, you get it) on their way to finding each other—and themselves.
(And if they happen to also find the best title of an adult film while they’re at it? That’s just the rainbow sprinkles on top.)

ʜᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴇ ᴀ ᴛᴇᴇɴ ꜱᴇx ᴄᴏᴍᴇᴅʏ : a millennial coming-of-age parody (lite)
Once upon the early 2000s…
Trixie Taylor is asexual—she just doesn’t know that’s an option. So imagine her consternation, when the deadline for the virginity pact she made in eighth grade is now upon her. It’s her last high school party, and the entire graduating class has heard that Trixie’s ready to swipe her V-card tonight.
So. No time to panic.
Ready or not, she’s got someone in mind to help her…
Riot Shane is every bit the loser virgin his friends roast him for being, and way more than his rebel reputation suggests (things would be different if he’d get his GED and a haircut, but oh well). When incurable crush Trixie Taylor asks for his help, Riot finds himself playing fake boyfriend, real bodyguard, and the house party’s errand boy.
Welp. At least responsibility’s never looked as good as it does with his dream girl in the passenger seat.
Ready or not, the night’s only just begun…

Looking

TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2025
Looking (2014-16, USA)
Creator: Michael Lannan (based on his own short film)
Directors: Andrew Haigh, Ryan Fleck, Joe Swanberg, Jamie Babbit & Craig Johnson
Mini-review:
Why in the world did I take so freaking long to watch this? It's so damn good! Although, in a way, I'm glad I waited till now, cause it perfectly captures the moment me and my friend group are going through right now. And the show just has so much interesting stuff to say about relationships, modern love and growing up when you don't feel you're ready. I saw a lot of me in the main character, which at times made for an awkward watch, but it also made me feel understood. By the time I was done with the movie finale, I couldn't help but think that I would have loved to spend way more time with these characters. Also, Looking definitely joins the list of shows and movies that make me want to pack up my things and move to San Francisco.

Hi welcomr
My main is @catalystco
This is my side blog dedicated to what happens when there are groups of four women under immense pressure! Answer is homoeroticism ensues. Basically I do genre analyses on this extremely niche queer horror/dark comedy trope. And queer horror in general.
My favourites to post about are heathers (original), mean girls (also original), doki doki literature club, and RWBY
Slight deviations of this weird formula are glee (not very dark, main four are cheerios+Rachel/mostly side characters) and dungeon meshi (men) which I prob post the most about
I have a lot to say. I’m saving my friends using tumblr.
I always welcome recommendations btw ;))

When the real ✨art✨ is outside the frame
When you’re doing hand drawn frame-by-frame animation - you don’t need to draw thing that won’t end up in the final frame. But zoom out from the shot posted above, and you end up with beautiful shots like this 😂

I had a refreshing conversation with someone at a queer meetup and honestly wish more people were like that. I said someone got upset at my jokes despite I'm lgbt and it kinda could be summed up as "There's this constant expectation of positivity and can't handle when someone has a sense of humor that veers from that. It's obvious the joke is made by someone lgbt, why else would they joke about it in the first place?"
Yeah like why infight among people within the community. We're all the same.

10 Reasons I am obsessed with Breakfast with Scot
Grab yourself a T shaped pancake and enjoy!
I find the theme's of the novel by Michael Downing and the screen adaptation to be very compelling. Exploration of found families, stable queer couple navigating parenthood, potentially queer/gender nonconforming kids, coming out, self-acceptance.
I am a big fan of contemporary fiction, real-life situations meets romance/rom-com. I am not really into YA or fantasy, fandom can be heavily skewed in that direction. I also like more mature protagonists beyond the early 20s into adulthood.
Love a totally stable and in love m/m couple with careers and a house in the suburbs. No romantic drama. Just a wholesome queer marriage.
LOVE that the NHL and Toronto Maple Leafs gave permission to use the logos and branding in a queer-themed film.
I love both stories, novel and film. I think that the characters stand up really well in both. Particularly, I think Eric is entirely justified in remaining in the closet professionally and as a public figure. It was 2007! Ellen was recently out. Very few celebrities and next to no sports figures were out in that time period.
Tom Cavanagh and Ben Shenkman are just so fine, this should be self-evident.
I just love the wholesome, feel-good comfort of the film. I know it isn't perfect but for its time, I think it did well and was pretty ground breaking. Queer-themed films were usually tragedies back then.
LOVE that they incorporated hockey!!!
Love the supporting characters and feeling of a sitcom. That found family and found community comes through very strongly.
And most of all, I love that there is so much story to tell. How did Eric end up getting together with Sam if he can't even say the word gay out loud yet is ok talking about their bedsheets on the street for anyone to hear? How do they deal with Scot's trauma about losing his mom? How is Sam a sports attorney yet knows nothing about hockey? Did Scot finish the hockey season? I want to know all about Nula and George Jr's wedding! I want Eric/Sam commitment ceremony. Hell, I'd even enjoy Billy and Mia's wedding lol. I want to see Scot graduate from high school and Ryan Burlington get drafted.
