I think the mindset that a queer relationship is not “canon” just because they don’t end up together in the sources end is so stupid and I see it on here all the time. Gay characters will call each other ���my love/dear/sweet,’ profess their love for one another, and perform song and dance numbers about loving each other their whole life long but if they don’t kiss on stage then it’s not real enough for you? I think there’s a gay Hollywood ghost that possesses middle aged male actors and makes their characters super mega queer cause the amount of times where an actor is just like “nah I didn’t play him gay.” and then later they’re like “yea I rewatched this and it’s somehow gay, idk what happened guys.” is astronomical??? I think they're both kind of repressed about their dynamic, Jason because it made him vulnerable and Grant because it meant he could never live up to Slade in his mind. Neither of them really trust alphas so they end up sharing heats with each other, which turns into casually nesting with each other, which turns into them living together, and suddenly Grant is a regular fixture in the East End because it's no longer just Jason's territory it's their territory.

And then, Tyler comes in. And Sasha. And Respawn. And Poppy. And-

There's a lot of street kids that need places to stay. I've talked before about Jason giving his safe houses to people who need them because I can't fathom the thought that he has a bazillion empty houses when there are so many people who need it. I think this is DOUBLY true in the Omegaverse because Jason sees everyone in the Alley, to some extent, as his pack.

Grant doesn't mean to start helping with this stuff, but before he knows it he sees Jason as his mate and now the Alley people are his pack too. He's got pups to feed, and crooks to discipline. He doesn't have time to run around fucking up his dad's jobs anymore.

Adeline is happy about this, if nothing else. She's been asking after grandpups practically since she found out Grant was alive, and she doesn't much care that none of them are related to her by blood.

If they ever DID want bio pups, well, there's perks to having Talia Head as a mother in law. According to certain (derogatory 😒) 911 fans, Eddie talking to the father of the cheerleader was queer coded because the conversation they had wasn’t actually about Eddie’s (perceived— like “abandoning his wife and child for war”— and actualized—like having an affair with the doppelgänger of his dead wife and being unable to help his son process and grieve the loss of Shannon because of his own grief and feelings of inadequacy and failure) failures as a father. Nor because their conversation was actually a heart-to-heart warning from one father to another. No. The conversation was apparently “implicating” an opposition he faced from Ramon in his youth. Eddie— a man who has never once been fem— saw his relationship issues with his father and his father’s lack of acceptance for his *checks notes* femininity in this father-son dynamic?

1.) What? 2.) Eddie’s conversation was queercoded because… cheerleading feminine? You do realize that you’re implying that men who do cheerleading—really any activity/sport dominated by women and girls— are gay, yes? 3.) What part of Eddie bringing up his distance from Chris because of his own mistakes did you not understand? He was tryna tell this father that his son is RIGHT THERE and yet he, the father, chooses to break apart his relationship with his son over arbitrary things, unlike Eddie, who feels he fucked up for good and burnt that bridge; there’s no going back or reestablishing a relationship with Chris because Chris wants nothing to do with him while the other man’s son wanted his father there when he was hurt and scared. 4.) Straight men can and should unlearn toxic masculinity, you get that, right? Queer men aren’t the only men who should unlearn the whole “if associated with women -> bad and weak and disgusting!” Straight men are also afflicted by this mentality.
