guys im selling my sticker machine for $ to replace it with a different model of sticker machine and im so freakin nervouse. what if the fb marketplace guy that comes to get it does some cartoon villain shit and then i have 0 moneyand 0 sticker machine. wat then. aaaou

the thing is!!!! i intentionally priced it sorta high (still below what i paid for it) because i had it up for trade (i figure there was a chance someone with the machine i want was wanting to upgrade to a bigger size) and this guy wants to buy mine when there are like 15 other ones in our area that are way cheaper priced. im like whuh. why mine.

im hoping its just because i have it listed with a comparatively thorough description and a video of it working etc and not that this guy is tryig to scam me some how. im so weirded out.

I'm honestly very disappointed in rusty quill for that better help sponsorship on the last magnus protocol episode. I understand if the show can't be made on just the kickstarter and patreon money but better help is a shit company that has been known to sell their user's sensitive health information long before the ftc literally fined them for it. No amount of money should be worth advertising such a company to your fans. Vetting sponsors is common practice and literally one google search on rq's part should have prevented this. Shameful

hey I just now saw your tags on a post you reblogged of mine about native plants and I think you could totally start growing your own plants as long as you can find someone/somewhere to buy seeds from, I believe in you and your native plant dreams!!

Honestly homie I appreciate it!!

I think the main holdups for me are A: I’m consistently Average at best when it comes to growing seeds and B: I never know when to pot up

Also apparently a lot of native plants in my area don’t like being transplanted which would make growing them for the sole purpose of being transplanted. Tricky.

I would also need the money to buy the seeds because hoo doggy are native plant seeds kinda pricy 👀 but. Maybe I can do a little goofing off next year if I still don’t have an anim job? If all else fails itll be fun

being an adult who makes my own income is also realizing i can actually buy some of the pretty art i see online. some day i might even be bold enough to directly commission an artist.

#sometimes i forget that i can just...buy things that i like #obviously i can't go wild about it or spend an outrageous amount #but...i do have spending money and i no longer have to like justify purchases to my dad #or beg him to let me buy some cool art at the local ren faire #i can literally just...buy it #still keeping myself in check #but i am so used to only using my spending money to buy books and snacks #and sometimes notebooks and art supplies #but now there's no one to tell me that i'm too old for dinosaur figurines and cool prints and cute plushies #like i mean my dad is still around but i'm not a kid anymore so...#honestly i could've probably bought more things i just like and want because they're cool when i was younger #but i was just not great at doing things without permission #and my dad is simultaneously a penny pincher and a careless spender #in a weird way where he'll budget everything very carefully #and he saves up and has his Roth IRA and investment portfolio and so on #but then he will also like...spend a ridiculous amount of money on super expensive living room curtains #that will inevitably be destroyed by the cats within the course of a year #or he'll buy a custom made reclining chair from norway for way too much money and then never use it #like he carefully budgets all this stuff #and then is like 'ah and now i need to factor in my $1000 ugly lamp that no one asked for'#my sister ends up replacing most of these items with more practical cheap stuff from like facebook marketplace #so honestly he has nowhere to throw stones from #will say i do like his too-expensive giant abstract art pieces. they're pretty cool #not my style but i don't hate them #but those curtains...#maybe it's my turn to criticize HIS purchases

#a colleague is commissioning some vests for evening wear #so I went through his photos on Facebook and it turns out that his 2 modes are #light academia OR dark queer alchemy #like I’m talking mustard tan warm browns #or lapis lazuli fluorite and knowledge of the arcane #I want to get this man into a deep teal suit with gold accents so badly #there’s an intermediary aesthetic of 60s/70s swinger also but that’s more a select number of graphic button downs #which are more casual #his formal aesthetic is decidedly more dapper #but if he wants an evening vest in a groovy ass graphic print I will let him cook!!!#the pond of sartorial anachronism

Messed around with the color and 50s retro printing designs based on a doodle/bad joke I made.🤣

This might not be the best color work I've done but I love how these turned out!!

They give off the effect of looking like something from EC Comics or a novelty trading card by Wally Wood or Jack Davis.
