Summary:

January 2004: Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter are two of the finest Seekers in England, deadly rivals and secret lovers.

As far as Draco is concerned, that's how it'll stay forever. He is betrothed to beautiful heiress Astoria Greengrass, and they are due to have a big summer wedding.

Everything changes during a hotly fought Arrows versus Wimbourne game when Draco falls from his broom. To his huge shock, when Draco awakes in St Mungo's, he discovers he is pregnant.

What will Draco do, now everything in his tidily compartmentalised life has to change?

Excerpt:

“Percy and George were gossiping over Sunday dinner,” Potter said quietly. Standing up, he took two paces forward so he was looming over Draco. Then he crouched down so that they were eye to eye with one another. “Trying to guess who’d fathered the baby. They kept making stupid, coarse suggestions, just to score cheap laughs. I wanted to punch them both. Wanted to tell them it was my fucking kid they were insulting. I got so close, Malfoy. I could feel the words on the edge of my tongue.”

Draco’s heart hammered in his chest. A shouted declaration over the Weasley dinner table was exactly the sort of drama he categorically did not want.

“Did you tell them?” Draco asked, his voice equally soft.

“No. ’Mione got there first. She called them a pair of thick-skulled narrow-minded morons,” Potter answered. There was the trace of a smile playing at the edge of his lips. “Said you had every right to have a baby if you wanted. Said that it shouldn’t matter if you liked men.” Potter closed the space between them, moving so close that Draco could feel each of his lover’s words as a hot breath of air on his skin. “You can’t wish this away, Malfoy. You’re pregnant. We need to make plans. Work out how we’re telling people.”

On that last word, Harry tilted his face, and found Draco’s lips with his own.

His kiss was passionate, and claiming, and Draco let himself melt onto it, the prickle of his lover’s formidable magic noticeable against his skin. They’d been kissing for six years but, every single time, the rightness of their coupling stuck Draco anew. Potter was the only person in Draco’s life that saw him for who he truly was. Potter wrapped one arm around Draco, and tangled the other in his hair.

When Potter broke their kiss, Draco chased his lover’s lips, hungering for more. “I won’t go away,” Potter told him. “You’re carrying my baby, and I want to be a part of their life. I thought it’d be best to tell Mackenzie first, in case I have to skip any of our big fixtures.”

Draco felt like he’d been doused in freezing water.

I watched the videoclip of Learn to fly by Foo Fighters, which to be honest isn't one of my favourite songs of theirs...

But the video...

That video is SOMETHING

Idk if you've ever seen it, but it's really worth watching - basicly it takes place on an airliner, where a couple of cleaners are smuggling drugs and for fear of being discovered they hide them in the coffee pot, then the flight assistant makes the coffee and lot of passengers (pilots included) drink it, leading to obvious consequences

When I saw this scene my mind went out XD

Now a bit of culture cause I need it

The band members here play themselves and lot of other roles which, united to Airplane! and Airport '75 & '77 references (both interesting movies), played a decisive role in allowing this clip won the Grammy Awards' best short form video in 2001

Fifth week of my Video Game Genre Guides!

Logo by my friend Upgrade! This is a style of game that condenses the traditional loop of games into 2 phases. The first of these phases is a gameplay phase, where you play the game to earn money. The second phase is the upgrade phase, where you spend the money earned to improve the gameplay in different ways. Upgrade games focus on a repetitive cycle of this gameplay, sometimes with exponentially increasing progress to keep the player engaged. Here's what that would look like on a Genre Tree!

Surprise! This is the first "parent-less" genre we've covered! This means there aren't any genre this is a sub-genre of, or any umbrella "meta-genres" either! Here's 5 Upgrade games (in no particular order) and how I would categorize, or "tag", them in pink!

Upgrade, Launch Number 1 is Learn to Fly 2! Upgrade and Launch game have tons of overlap, and Learn to Fly 2 might be my favorite. A super fun snowy launch game from my childhood that showcases both genres off well!

Upgrade, 2D Auto Runner, Endless Runner, Racing // Virtual Pet, One Button Runner Number 2 is DuckLife! Another childhood classic of mine, DuckLife is an upgrade game where the upgrading and gameplay takes place as training your pet duck in different auto runner/endless runner gameplay to have them compete in races. Super fun, cute, and nostalgic game that's pretty quick and simple to beat!

Upgrade, Scrolling Shooter Number 3 is Bloons Super Monkey! A super underrated spin-off of the iconic bloons franchise, Bloons Super Monkey deserves more attention! Seeing how the upgrades add to your super monkey and just how many bloons you can pop is immensely satisfying.

Upgrade, Vertical Launch Number 4 is Knightmare Tower! Another upgrade + launch game, however this time it's a vertical launch game! Rather than trying to get as far horizontally, in this game (and other Vertical Launch games), the aim is to hit boosts to keep upwards momentum and not fall back down. Super fun upgrade game with fun graphics and gameplay!

Upgrade, RPG // Dodging & Catching, Shooting Gallery Number 5 is Swords and Souls! Similar to DuckLife, the gameplay phase is focused on training your character to have them compete in RPG automatic battles. The fun mini-games and challenges with unique RPG elements combine to make a very engaging upgrade game That concludes my fifth Video Game Genres Guide! Thank you for reading!

(11:00 PM, the Nemesis. Knockout's infirmary. Knockout's looking through patient charts. Starscream is standing by the door, chatting with him. I come in and sit in a corner quietly, knees pulled up to chin.)

Knockout: Shouldn't you be in bed?

Me: Yeah, but I can't sleep.

Knockout: Oh? Why's that, love?

Me: I'm nervous.

Knockout: About?

Me: My therapy appointment.

Knockout: May I ask why?

Me: I just...*sigh* What if I say something that makes her think I'm beyond help?

Knockout: *quirks brow* Uhh...

Me: What if she puts me on something that makes me go numb again. I don't wanna go back-- I can't go back to that!

Knockout: Breathe, dear. You'll be fine.

Me: But what if I won't be? Because I'm definitely not fine right now. What-- what if she has me carted off to a mental ward? What if she says I can't come here anymore? What if she--

Starscream: Are you listening to yourself right now?

Me: What?

Starscream: You are fretting over things that are unlikely to happen.

Knockout: Screamer has a point, darling.

Me: But what if--

Knockout: Sweetspark, if there was even a remote risk of that happening, we'd protect you. Isn't that right, Screamer?

Starscream: Indeed.

Me: But--

Knockout: Okay, let's try this. Repeat after me. *ehem* I will be fine.

Me: I will be...Fine.

Knockout: Nothing bad will happen to me.

Me: Nothing bad will happen to me.

Knockout: Good! Now say it again. I will be fine. Nothing bad will happen to me.

Me: I will be fine. Nothing bad will happen to me.

Knockout: Again!

Me: I will be fine. Nothing bad will happen to me. I will be fine. Nothing bad will happen to me.

Knockout: Now, how do you feel?

Me: Better.

Knockout: Good. Now go to bed. It's nearly midnight, and you need to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed tomorrow.

Me: Right. *heads out of the infirmary, but pokes head back in* Thanks, Knockout.

Knockout: Oh, it's no problem, Sweetspark. Now go on. Shoo!
