How I’m preparing for 2025!

✅ vision board

i've already made my digital vision board but tonight im gonna print out all the pics & sit down to make my physical vision board (first time i've made one!)

the vibe is nighttime, candles lit, hot chocolate, photos messily put on the floor, fav music (ariana grande) & living my best life

✅ using the 12-week framework & plan the 1st quarter

this year, i decided to use the 12 week frame work (its a book, you can read about it!). so you split the year into 4 quarters (or 12 weeks) and i've started to plan each week so each week i'm doing something to achieve my goals (using notion)

by the end of the 12 weeks if it turns out to work very effectively i will make a post on it & how i used notion to help!

✅ finished all the projects & books i was currently on.

I’m actually very happy I did. There’s only gonna be fresh starts & no old energies this new year!! Eeekkk!!

Most people will tell you that giving your pets any kind of medication in pill form is an absolute nightmare, meanwhile I have the exact opposite problem.

A friend of mine was watching my cat Mim while I was travelling this weekend and when he went to split her weekly allergy pill (made to split into 4 small pills when you press down on it with a finger) to give her the usual 1/4, he fumbled it and sent it skittering across the floor where my ridiculous pill-loving menace of cat immediately gobbled down the whole thing, leading to me receiving a panicked phone call at 11 pm from said friend who was understandably freaking out (everyone’s fine, a single high dose won’t cause any problems as long as it’s just this once).

Behold: the villain herself, basking in the success of her crime (she’d be planning her next pill-related heist but, as you can see if you look closely, there’s there’s nothing but elevator music behind those eyes)

MY MANIFESTING LIST ;

every year i always make a list of the things that i wanna manifest in 2025, i dont always complete it in the first sitting bcuz i add onto it as the year progresses but i like to have a basic framework of everything that im manifesting in that year.

also along with my manifest list for 2025, i also create a 2025 vision board because it motivates me and reminds me of all the amazing things that im going to experience in 2025.

REFLECTING ON THIS YEAR ;

so in my notion i have a section called the 'monthly digest' where every single month i break down the 4 weeks of the month and everything that i did in them in relation to my goals. after every month i write a little summary.

so with that being said i have a LOT to go back to and reflect on so that i can see what i accomplished this year and what i can do better in the next year. this reflection system that i have is so helpful so i'll set one up for 2025 so that i can also have that at my disposal.

BREAKING UP THE NEXT YEAR ;

i break up my year into 4 quarters (each lasting 3 months) that way i can see my year broken up and i have a clear plan and i can be organized. quarter one (january - march) quarter two (april - june) so on and so forth. and after every quarter i do a little analysis.

something else that i wanna try for next year is giving myself quarterly themes. like for each quarter of the year i'll focus on a different aspect of myself, i think that could be fun…💬🎀

PREPARATIONS ;

im wrapping up some things like my projects, assignments and things of that nature so that i can go into the next year on a clean slate. furthermore im making plans for new years eve, and january and making sure that i've already set some things in motion.

all in all, with everything in motion and everything set in place im going into the new year INCREDIBLY confident 💕📔

“Sirius, c’mon,” Remus murmured, tugging his friend along. “Let’s go.”

“I- what?” Sirius asked, clearly confused. “Where are we going?”

“The Astronomy Tower,” Remus replied simply. “C’mon.”

“Oh. Uhm, okay? Why?” Sirius looked really lost. Remus almost felt bad, but he had to do this. Otherwise, he’d never be able to pull up the courage again.

“You’ll see,” Remus said.

The moment that they were in the Astronomy Tower, Sirius turned to Remus. “We’re here now,” he said. “Why are we up here?”

Remus smiled. “The fireworks. It is New Year’s Eve, after all.”

“Oh,” Sirius said. “Oh. Makes sense, now that I think about it.”

“Yeah, dumbass,” Remus smiled fondly, letting Sirius know he didn’t actually mean it. 

“How dare you!” Sirius gasped jokingly. “My honor!”

Remus chuckled. They sat like that for a little while, quietly enjoying each other’s company.

“Hey, Moony,” Sirius whispered suddenly. “Are you going to do a New Year’s kiss?”

Remus hummed in agreement. “Why?”

“Well, who would you kiss? Sorry, I’m just kind of curious. You don’t need to answer,” SIrius said sheepishly.

“No, it’s fine. And honestly? I’m not sure, Pads,” Remus lied. In reality, the only person he wanted to kiss was next to him.

“Well,” Sirius said, casting a quick Tempus. “It’s almost midnight.”

“Oh, good, that means the fireworks are about to start,” Remus grinned. “How much time do we have?”

“Eh… about fifteen seconds,” Sirius said, putting his wand away. “Let’s do a countdown, yeah?”

“Sure,” Remus agreed. 

“Ten!” Sirius began.

“Nine,” Remus said, his lips quirking into a smile.

“Eight.” Sirius stepped closer to Remus.

“Seven,” Remus murmured, his heart beginning to race. He was preparing for what he was about to do.

“Six.” Sirius edged even closer to Remus.

“Five,” Remus managed, his breath hitching as Sirius’s hand moved to rest on the nape of his neck.

“Four,” Sirius whispered.

“Three,” Remus said, his voice barely audible.

“Two,” Sirius murmured, leaning in.

“One.”

Remus was the one to close the remaining distance, pressing his lips against Sirius’s. The fireworks went off in the background, perfectly reflecting what was going on in Remus’s mind. 

He pulled away from Sirius first, even though it was almost painful. “I- er, sorry. Should’a asked permission,” he muttered. 

Sirius sighed. “Remus, I don’t care, I wanted that too. Now, I swear to Merlin if you don’t get back over here and give me another kiss-” 

He was cut off by Remus pressing their lips together once more.
