Yes.

Yes, they would absolutely be besties, and boy does Kakashi let out a sigh of relief.

In Kafka, Obito would get the boisterous camaraderie that he wanted and didn’t get from Kakashi. They would be total idiots together but it would be the most adorable and endearing thing in the world.

There would be rivalry but it wouldn’t be as bone deep and that only benefits both men as they push each other to bigger and better things. There is no jealousy. They have very different strengths in terms of techniques so again, no hostility.

They would make quite the formidable pair actually and that thought… my panties are on the floor.

These Barbecue Pork On Buns are a tasty treat for people who love barbecue. The pork shoulder is soaked in a thick barbecue sauce, grilled until it's just right, and then it's served on toasted buns with a cool coleslaw topping. Great for family dinners or gatherings outside!

Ingredients: 2 lbs pork shoulder, diced. 1 cup barbecue sauce. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 8 hamburger buns. Coleslaw for topping.

Instructions: In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade. Place diced pork shoulder in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the marinade over the pork. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread marinated pork onto skewers or use a grill basket for easy grilling. Grill the pork for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the reserved marinade, until the pork is fully cooked and has a nice barbecue glaze. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or until lightly browned. Remove pork from the grill and assemble sandwiches by placing the barbecue pork on the toasted buns. Top with coleslaw for added crunch and freshness. Serve immediately and enjoy!

You found that it was easy to get to know him, it was easy to let him past barriers long formed without regretting such a bold move. He was a person you didn’t know you needed, but thinking about a life without him, now he was here, it wasn’t worth lingering on.

Funny how you always scoffed at those silly romcoms, the ones you swore you didn’t like but somehow always ended up watching until you knew some of the scenes word for word. All those silly scenarios that were so far outside of reality that you would chuckle and roll your eyes.

Now, it almost felt like you were living in your own.

His hand was hot around yours, fingers roughened at the edges and more evident each time he swept the pads across your knuckles, you liked how it felt. It was easy with Kafka; he never asked for more than you were willing to give, and you appreciated that.

One big goofy smile from him was more than enough to brighten your entire day, and seeing the affection mirrored in his eyes was akin to the sensation of a live wire being passed across your skin. He was silly, funny without even trying and down to earth.

This feeling in your heart was not one you thought would belong, but as time passed you couldn’t imagine it not being there.

“Hey hey, whatchu thinking so hard about?” Kafka asked, raising a hand to ruffle your hair.

You sighed, fixing the mess he had created, but you couldn’t deny him a smile. “Oh, nothing much. Just you and me and how we got here.”

“You call that nothing much? Pfft, I should be offended.”

Don’t be like that,” you murmured, stepping close enough to boop his nose. “Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if we hadn’t met... I don’t think I’d be as happy as I am.”

“... I know I wouldn’t be as happy. How could I be when I’d be living a life where I didn’t get to hug you every day?”

Kafka promptly wrapped a thick arm around your middle and hauled you up and into his body, squeezing you into a bear hug that had you laughing and cursing him at the same time. You couldn’t ask for more.

Glad I gave into the feeling I used to fight

Let's talk about my beloved porkbun and our festive time.

Kafka absolutely loves winter. He loves a snowball fight (of course he does), loves wrapping up warm for a chilly walk where we hold hands, and all the lights and decorations that seem to be everywhere. He wants to decorate in November and I have to hold him back! 😋

We had a low key Christmas and New Years. Spent time with family and friends on the surrounding days but Christmas Day was just the two of us.

We exchanged presents in the morning (I bought him a sweater with a pop culture graphic and a new switch lite so he can game in his downtime. He bought me a beautiful silver necklace with a paw print pendant and a book basket of recommendations from the local bookstore), we lazed around watching Christmas movies and eating chocolates then we cooked a small dinner (mostly me) and got more than a bit tipsy on soju and lemonade which led to us moving to the bedroom! 🤣🤣
