Heads up if you don't like angsty stuff

Claire kissed his lips, he made no face this time

Inside him a spark ignited, because holy fuck claire actually kissed him

"thy lips are warm! Then, I'll be brief. Oh happy dagger! This is thy sheath" a 'dagger' makes it's way into claire's abdomen-

And a sword slices Jim's heart, the spark snuffs out.

The kiss wasn't for him this time, it was for Romeo

"there rest, and let me die" claire 'dies', eli spoke his line and the curtains drew

The applause was the same, the people were the same, but claire never even spoke to him after

No jokes about dying this time, no holding hands. Just a sickening silence as they rose to their feet

Just two hours earlier Bular was felled by his hands, and somehow this felt worse than killing the brute

Because he tried to get claire to like him, and she just didn't this time

And now the grief lay heavy on his breast, the arrow that had stricken him blind had missed his dear claire

And if claire doesn't like him, he shall do as she bides and forget her

But who shall teach him how to forget a fair woman such as this one?

I love that Vulcans get a tattoo after completing the kahs wan and I thought “wouldn’t it be fun to turn it into a Brand in the mirror verse?” Or like, maybe it’s more of a Challenge than a coming-of-age and it’s how they signify the “superiors” of each generation… the cream of the crop? shepards of the flock? Something like that. Idk guys I just wanted to put squiggles on his face

I’ll probably give them both proper outfit designs later but for now the faces are all that matter (I’ll be drawing them shirtless so often, what do clothes matter)

Things I like about this scene:

1. The fact that Kirk was so done with everything and everybody he just accepts that Spock has lost his shame. Basically:

McCoy: Spock is acting weird.

Kirk: Well, good for him, wish I had energy to care though.

2. McCoy notices the change immediately. And starts worrying. Kirk is just done.

3. McCoy definitely did say that.

4. The way they just started arguing.

5. The whole scene with the acting and dialogue just feels so realistic.

good cop bad cop but Jim Gordon (the good cop) is passed out from blood loss and exhaustion and Batman (the obvious bad cop) bundles everyone involved (including his kids) into a corner booth at a 24 hour diner and proceeds to interrogate the suspect over shitty diner coffee and the sounds of his kids force feeding Commissioner Gordon apple pie and french fries.

Counter theory:

"My theory was always that Spock was the unhinged and wild one -- a rebel by Vulcan standards -- and he radicalized "stack of book with legs" Jim Kirk.😂

Spock was the one out there mind melding with every Horta, Nomad and V'Ger while Jim and Bones absolutely panicked in the background.

Then Jim usually ended up being the one to get Spock out of it, too. The Apple, Operation Annihilate, A Private Little War, The Infinite Vulcan, TMP . . . How many times did we see Kirk have to carry Spock body and limb and slightly on fire back to the ship after he got into it?

The amount of shit Jim has to do for Spock in Star Trek III alone.

Spock is like the Enterprise housecat who stubbornly insists on being an outdoor cat and keeps escaping, later having to be carried back indoors. He keeps causing mischief but everybody loves his ass anyway.

Kirk and Spock were chaotic messes who loved their frontier first contact work in TOS and onward -- they deserved each other.😂👌

Kirk trying to give Spock the Enterprise because he intends to leave and go teach at Starfleet, only for Spock to accept on the condition that the Enterprise become a teaching vessel…

Literally not going to let Jim go anywhere alone, even though being a captain would be prestigious, even though he could advance his own career, none of that matters. What matters is being with Jim, and the Enterprise.

Transfers

Jim Gordon decided to offer his home to the students transferring from Casper High to Gotham Prep for a few months. Barbara wasn't too happy about it but Jim preferred that to having those kids end up in a dangerous place or worse, with Bruce Wayne (he meant well but frankly Jim would rather not risk another young vigilante). Besides, one of the transfers practically demanded a restraining order against the millionaires, the poor kid.

Honestly Jim didn't understand why the transfer program existed. Casper didn't know how dangerous Gotham was? Or didn't they care?, all he hoped was that he could keep them safe and that they wouldn't come back to their home too traumatized.

Of course, he had no way of knowing that the Casper's trio was more than ready for Gotham, with weapons disguised in their suitcases and a ghost hero about to enjoy an extended vacation after negotiating a deal with the ghosts.

Gotham wouldn't know who hit it.
