When you went home you immediately went to your room to change, then you waited.

One time during a visit at purgatory hall diavolo was chatting with the angels + solomon and barbatos and he was telling a story with over exaggerated hand motions then lucifer walked up behind him and before lucifer could get a word out diavolo swung his hand and accidentally PUNCHED lucifer so hard on his face that he literally fell down the ground and held his face in pain cuz yk diavolos big arms they strong💀

Lucifer found it adorable how sad he was. He’s the future demon king, and he got sad because he accidentally punched his fiance. Diavolo quickly made sure he was ok before doing the ol’ kissing the wound thing.

he ended up taking Lucifer on a date and cuddled him so tightly that night.

Whenever it’s brought up, Diavolo gets sad again but Lucifer laughs (then has to remind Diavolo he’s fine, since it was a long time ago)

Diavolo was convinced that counted as ‘domestic violence’ for the longest time

1. Mammon

No matter how many times you tell him to put some on, he refuses. "It looks funny and I hate the feelin' !" Hours later he regrets it of course and whines about how much it hurts and how it'll affect his modeling gig tomorrow. "I would've helped rub it all over you!"

"W-well why didn't ya say that sooner!"

2. Levi

Actually applies sunscreen but it wasn't enough for the shut-in. He's use to swimming around in his room but he underestimated the wrath of the sun. "Well I'm gonna be in the water most of the time so it's fine!" ...Now he's crying in his room about how normie activities are always a bad idea.

3. Lucifer

This responsible™️ demon put on some sunscreen and laid under an umbrella. He admired the ocean view and shared quite a few drinks, laughing and chatting with Diavolo and the others. He fully relaxed! Once they left to do other activities he grabbed a book and fell asleep...unaware of the Anti-Lucifer Leagues plans. He woke up sunburned with no umbrella in sight. 😔

4. Simeon

Bless this angel, really. All he ever wants to do is help. While helping Luke and some of the others apply some sunscreen, the poor angel forgot about himself and everyone forgot to offer as they one by one went to partake in beach activities! (*shakes fist* a national outrage I say!!)

5. Belphie

Was too lazy to apply any but Beel and Simeon helped. Like Levi, it wasn't enough through out the day though. After a particularly long nap in the sun, he too woke up sunburned. (To Lucifers amusement of course lmao)

6. Beel

Might've sampled the sunscreen because it smelled really good. Small sunburn. Occasionally forgot to reapply and the poor thing should've gotten a stronger spf. He also missed a few spots when he tried to apply it himself when Belphie or Simeon were unavailable. 😔

7. Satan

Gets only a tiny sunburn, nothing too noticeable. He would forget to reapply every so often due to being so absorbed in his book but his sunscreen was a particularly good one, perfect for his skin type.

8. Diavolo (Everyone from here on is tied)

Barbatos would never let Diavolo get sunburned. He had the Little Ds help apply sunscreen to the giant demon before they left for the beach. If it weren't for Barbatos though, the demon would forget to apply some through out the day due to having fun.

9. Barbatos

Failing to apply sunscreen to Diavolo or himself would tarnish his name, it'd be unbefitting for a butler and he would never be able to forgive himself. He is meticulous on how it's applied and when and only uses the absolute best he can get.

10. Luke

There is no way Simeon (or anyone) would let the young angel play around without sunscreen. They make sure to apply every half hour & keep him hydrated. He complains about it of course and just wants to go back to play in the water or make sand sculptures.

11. Solomon

Asmo took his chance and helped the sorcerer apply sunscreen. There was not an inch that was not properly applied and he made sure to re-apply through out the day. 🤭 If it weren't for Asmo though, this man would burn and brush it off.

12. Asmo

You will never see this man sunburned. It does not exist. He brought all different types of sunscreen, re-applies, and still limits his time in the sun. The day he gets sunburned is the day he never gets seen again.

Who left their chocolate chips for baking cookies with on the counter top when the dishwasher was running and melted 1/3 or more of the bag?

Okay, I'm going to do something a little different with this one. Drabbles! I mean, definitely vote your vote, but hear me out?

Why Solomon? He's a disaster in the kitchen, but he also is going to add some cayenne and powdered goji berries for a kick and healthy superfood twist. SOMEHOW the bag of chocolate chips melted and turnes into a solid brick. Oh well chocolate melts and evenly distributes, right? Especially with a torch! It also adds a delightfully, extra crunchy texture to the thick, flavorful crust (I'm woefully unimaginative compared to the Magic Master Chef :( These abominations would be safely removed by a stab happy, hazardous materials disposal specialist named Raphael.

Why Simeon? He's canonically a cute, old, out of touch ditz and enjoys cooking thoughtful recipes for his housemates. He would definitely keep some sweet snacky stuff like mini packs of M&M's or other hard shelled candies like Reese's Pieces as pick me ups and for Packed Lunches. So he would have a batch with cinnamon chips or butterscotch chips too. Apart from being specialized for the palate of the recipient he would put them in adorable bags with personalized labels written in his elegant script. Leviathan framed his tag, begged the others for theirs as rare memorabilia collectables and Mammon sold him his at a steep price...which he paid for on the spot. 6/7 SECURED. When he learned that Beel ate his which was devastating he demanded Beel regurgitate it OR ELSE. Fear the taste of his spicy newt chip dust fingers!!

Why Luke? Poor kid doesn't have his emotional regulation under control yet :( (I say as an old fart who doesn't either) He would be upset and also discover that the baking powder was expired and that the flour was contaminated by Solomon making his cursed pancakes so this was actually a blessing in disguise? Feeling unnerved but lucky he'd go to the store (with ??? as his chaperone, but I think he shops alone too?) and while there he would have a nice distraction by seeing inspiration for cupcakes or other little baked goods for next time. When he gets home he gets back into his groove and bakes a great batch of cookies! He calls his comfort friends and after a vent session he feels better and they suggest baking together. "How about Snickerdoodles?" He likes thick and chewy big ol' bakery style cookies.

Why Diavolo? There was a chat where he was part of a sleep away exchange at HoL (Lucifer wouldn't let him room with him 😓) and when he baked he had eggshells in it. He mistook salt for sugar and made perfectly spherical cookies in Nightbringer (they pair well with Demonus.) Diavolo's Salty Balls if Barbatos wasn't lurking nearby he would not think twice about eating the forbidden raw cookie dough and will pay the price for it tomorrow. If Barbatos was observing/teaching he would all of a sudden discover that his errors or mistakes would be magically fixed (Because sometimes Barbatos CANNOT ABIDE Diavolo making or learning from mistakes. He just can't help himself sometimes either, like a compulsion 😔) He likes crisp chocolate chip cookies, which is fortunate because that was exactly what he got.

Okay this one I have been waiting for. I am no better than the plot writers with Lucifer 😂

Why Barbatos? Barbatos does not have a dishwasher machine (he is the dishwasher) even as of OM (it was mentioned in a Sweets Masters chat that I forgot the name of 🥲) so imagine with me if you will that he was not aware that they radiate heat outside of the machine, not just in your face when you open it before the drying cycle is finished...

He has been enjoying THE HELL out of his new dishwasher this week. He's in a good mood, the Little D staff are miraculously well behaved despite now having 2+ hours freed up from no longer washing dishes by hand. Hm... (give them more breaks, please. Rest and recess is good for productivity, workplace rapport and emotional health.)

Today the Young Master's treat shall be his own recipe for Decadent Devildom Chocolate Chip Cookies.

While the ingredients are warming to room temperature he does the dirty dishes that were brought in shamefacedly by Little D no. 4 that he had hidden in the library while he was binge reading...5 days worth of them. That's forgivable because he now has an excuse to run his beautiful, large scale industrial dishwasher again! What he doesn't realize though is that it would heat the countertop. It melted his butter and chocolate chips.

Not missing a beat he melts the chocolate down in a double boiler and chills it in the refrigerator on a baking sheet (They had a refrigerator already. One mention is in the Barbatos chat that I forgot the name of with Diavolo's Opaque Mysterious Refrigerated Container) while it chills and the butter warms *properly* on a unheated surface. He goes and monitors Diavolo, anticipates that he may need to scold him. Surprisingly Diavolo is ahead of schedule! Inspection of the Little D's reveals that they have performed well above standard (because as stated R and R is goodddd) Wow....all is going well today!

The result is Chunky Chopped Chocolate Chip Cookies! Milk and Cookies for everyone to reward them for their hard work and a sweet happy ending!

Edit: Proofread your insomnia writing 6x. Better yet read it out loud! Or else you will be like me and gnash your teeth over forgotten words, disorganized sentence structure and typoes that you're still finding the next day and too tired to fully fix.

I love my super fun run on sentences and adjective overkill 😂 They make me oddly happy.

If you aren't close to Echo or overall just not an observant person you might not notice when he's tired. Not physically but mentally tired. That playful and teasing glint in their eye suddenly nowhere to be seen and the way they walk with a pep in their step or skip when they are going somewhere completely gone.

That doesn't mean the others don't notice. The first ones to notice would be the purgatory hall people. Simeon and Luke baking with them or Solomon and Raphael just sitting and talking with them.

Thirteen ranting to them about anything just to see them crack a smile.

Then there are the demons.

Barbatos who would follow Echo around bothering him and telling him it's ok to be tired and need a break. Barbatos who eventually gets him to cave after a few days.

Diavolo who invites him over talking to him while doing paperwork talking about all the times he witnessed barb have an encounter with a rat.

Mepdtgsfjkbsadhknesd (I can't spell his name😔) who laughs about all the times Lucifer messed something up or his brothers got out of hand.

Everything just to see the smallest glint of playfulness return.

Reading Ring of Solomon and losing my mind at how everyone is like tee hee look how smol this little djinni Bartimaeus is. But how can this smol little djinni do all these incredible things. Infiltrate King Solomon's Palace. Steal the Ring. Defeat a marid. He may be smol but he is fierce

I also think that we missed something in the comic when Satan helps protagonist with angel. Or I just didn't see it being talked about 😔

While reading Testament of Solomon angles are used to help invoke the demons, for example the line 11th and 12th part.

So it kind of makes sense that Satan shows up right after the annoying Holly bum does try to hurt us.

Also the start of the the unholyc school. Asmodeus shows up with no summoning, no random half made marks of his, just puff and here he is in his half naked glory.

It can be reference to part of Geotia where author does meet the Asmodeus and the bastard decides to "troll" the poor human by nearly crashing him with his hoof while the human stays in protective circle.

It is also said that higher demon prices/kings CAN show up with no invocations or summoning circles just on a whim.

Interesting. Also to added, when Satan saved us from Gabriel. He mention that we are connected to Solomon thus, it would suggest that he was sent there or both the angels side and devils side found out about MC and it was a race to get to them.

I think a lot of fans also forget that Obey Me is a mobile dating sim— it’s not gonna have the best writing ever. A lot of the time, the writing is going to be flat with plenty of plot holes because the devs don’t care that much. But that’s also why I love reading blogs like yours with character interpretations and theories! The story and characters truly lack some depth, but the fandom brings so much life to it. Mammon’s behavior in s4 could really just be poor writing and wanting to bring back the “haha look he’s a tsundere” lines… but thinking about it the way you do brings so much more enjoyment! Obey Me plot/lore is going to be whatever you make out of it!! (love ur blog a lot btw <3)

Plot and specially lore is going to depend on how you interpret it and the fandom definitely brings more life to the overall story

BUT

I don't agree with you about the writing being flat or lacking depth.

Some characters are severely underutilised and explored because the devs put more focus on others (eg: Asmo being pushed to the side in favour of Lucifer or Mammon) but even then those characters have their shining moments where they're given more depth (eg: the S1 conversation with Asmo & Simeon about Asmo's need to be pretty and Asmo vs Lucifer in the S2 RAD popularity contest)

So,

I definitely wouldn't say, "The story and characters truly lack some depth"

If you compare it to an anime or manga then obviously it's not going to hold up because it's not either of those things. But OM! is definitely one of the better written otome games out there and if you take the time to actually read it more thoroughly or if you take note of the little details you'd notice that it has a lot more depth that you'd expect. Don't just read the words, actually pay attention to their facial expressions as well.

One of my favourite instances of this is in S2 when the brothers find out that Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon & Solomon were keeping secrets about MC's power which led to lucifer losing his memories.

Asmo asks both Diavolo and Solomon what was more or less the same question. Basically "You've been keeping secrets from us?" or something to that effect.

But his expression changes while he addresses them each separately.

When talking to Diavolo, Asmo's expression is angry - he's frowning.

But when he talks to Solomon, his expression softens and turns sad.

It's such a small moment that adds so much depth. It instantly shows that Asmo feels betrayed about Solomon keeping secrets from him. It gives a deeper insight into their relationship.

Detailed examples of where their expressions add depth to the story/are important

OM! is full of small moments like this - the most recent was from Lesson 69 when Mammon called Luke a chihuahua (link) <- this wasn't me filling the plotholes or speculating. This was literally just me stating what I saw on the screen. Just because I'm adding more words to describe what is happening doesn't mean I'm making it up or theorising.

If you clicked the links in my Mammon post that you're referring to in this ask you'd see that only about 5-6 of them are my theories. Almost everything else (there are maybe almost 15-20? links) is just me commenting on screenshots from the actual game. Literally just me pointing out or reacting to what the characters said. A few others are where the game gave me "1 + 1" and I went "Oh! It's 2!" (Eg: Mammon's lunch pancakes, Mammon seeing Luke as family <- which had already been stated as a fact in S3, I was just laying out all the s4 evidence that contributed to it). There are about 30-40 points in that post, and the ones without links are just me stating things Mammon has canonically said or done in S4.

As much as I love filling the gaps/plotholes none of that^ is me doing so. It's literally just me saying what happened in canon.......

Also, even with what I said in this post about why Mammon was acting more tsundere in S4, that really only applies to lesson 61-62 because after that he more or less eases back to how he is in S3?

Eg:

Walking around RAD and holding hands with MC

Standing up for MC in front of Mephisto

Asking Diavolo about the people who don't like MC so he can go fight them

Enthusiastically helping MC find the magic card

Blushing and looking bashful when MC calls him "cute" even though his brothers were there at the time

Liking a dating sim character because they reminded him of MC

Hugging MC for warmth

Telling MC they had a fiery personality with a cute side and that he wanted to know about all their sides

Turning to MC for support when he first confronted Simeon

Going on a cute taco truck date with MC

Bringing MC with him to confront Simeon for the second time and backing down when MC told him to calm down

Have yall who have problems with how Mammon acts in S4 just considered that maybe after three full seasons that heavily focused on him.....you're just not used to him being pushed a bit to the side and to, when he does appear, him not focusing all his overwhelming love on MC 24/7?

Which is a good thing in my opinion because:

1. I'm a shameless Mammon stan (as you probably know) and I miss him being in the game so often but it's good that everyone else (specially the new characters) are getting their time

2. From both a fictional and realistic standpoint it's good when a large part of a character/person's personality/drive/motivation/screen time isn't focused on their SO. It helps to better establish their character and shows that they're more secure in their relationship that they can stop clinging to their SO so much. It also allows you time to develop their relationships with other characters. I love Mammon from all 4 seasons but S4 Mammon has put a lot less focus on MC and because of that in the little bit of screentime S4 Mammon gets they've managed to give more insight into his relationships with Simeon, Luke, Raphael, Satan and, to an extent, even with Thirteen and Mephisto. We already know what MC and Mammon's relationship is like. We don't have a desperate need for more insight. What we do need is for him to grow as a character and interact more with the others outside of MC and so, obviously, because of that he'd spend less time swooning over MC. That isn't anyone being "haha look he's a tsundere"

You could look at point 2. and say "But this is a dating sim! They wouldn't care about other relationships outside of MC's romantic relationships! As a dating sim LI Mammon should spend all his screentime swooning over MC!" Except OM! did something no other dating sim I've played has ever done (and I've played a lot) it made MC wait one year in game time to have any sort of significant romantic interaction with the LIs because they were too focused on developing the friendships and platonic relationships between MC and the LIs, and sometimes even the relationships between the LIs. Even in S2 & S3 romantic interactions/relationships were pushed to the side in favour of solving the issues in different platonic relationships. MC's romantic relationships rarely have any drama, conflict in OM! mainly stems from the platonic relationships. So yes, 2. is important.

Yes, I went on a tangent and this isn't really what this particular anon was talking about but I really needed to talk about this too because a previous anon said that people were upset when Mammon didn't pay attention to MC 24/7 and the first anon in this thread thought Mammon was falling out of love with MC. (You don't need to be attached at the hip to be in love💀)

Overall, the main point of this ask & answer amounts to:

Allergies

He looked down at the little bundle of blankets. A small pudgy ball protruded from the top of it and Thomas wondered how something could look so new and yet so old at the same time. She was a darling little girl who had a shocking resemblance to a red, puffy, Whinston Churchill. Then he remembered what John, Ada, and Finn had looked like when they were born. Just as small and wrinkled. Thinking of where she had just come from it made sense.

Panic shot through him as he thought about Lizzie. He pushed those emotions down and tried to focus on his daughter. Again the fear of knowing she might be the only thing left of his family caused his stomach to lurch. Her eyes opened and she glared up at him. 

“You look squished, but you're still the prettiest girl I have ever seen.” He whispered. She seemed to take comfort in his voice and he realized he should probably pick her up and hold her. Poor thing should be stuck to her mother’s side. He picked her up and enjoyed the way she wiggled against him. 

She had no idea who her father was, only that he was her father and that she was safe there. For a moment Thomas was grateful he had been one of the older boys in the family. Being with children was not difficult for him. 

He walked over the windows and looked out at the dark sky. 

“Your mum is a tough lady, eh? Don't have to worry, she’ll come back.” He said in a low voice, was it to comfort the baby or himself, he wasn't sure. Feeling the heaviness in his heart threaten to take over he reached into his pocket and lit a cigarette with his free hand. 

He took a long drag feeling the smoke pull him together. He blew the smoke over his shoulder away from the baby. 

Looking back outside he heard a little cough. He looked down at her and was engulfed with that mixed feeling of pity and the urge to laugh. 

Her little red face was even redder and her eyes were glassy as she started to cough. Thomas wasn't sure what had caused it for a half second till he brought the cigarette back to his lips to hold her with both hands. 

“Fuck.” He said in a defeated tone. To confirm his suspicion he blew a small puff closer to her only for her to erupt into a coughing fit which she started to fight to breathe. Panic shot through him knowing all too well what that feeling felt like. Before flashes of the war could break into his mind he quickly put the cigarette out and brought her over to the window opening it. He rocked her back and forth and eventually, she settled against his chest. 

No smoke. He thought about how often a cloud of smoke followed him. It was as apart of him as his own shadow. How on earth was he to manage this? Remembering how scary the sound of her breathing was he have to figure it out. 

He’d promised Lizzie and Pol no more liquor but now he’d have to ditch smoking too. A flare of frustration ran through him. The whole situation was a big mess from day one. His thoughts became harsh and only broke when he looked down at the center of all his problems. 

The center of all his problems, and his entire universe. Guilt poured over him like cold water. It had been a long and uncertain birth, and now Lizzie was somewhere broken. 

Broken and unreachable. She was in the hands of the doctors now. He held his little daughter closely and watched her eyes flutter as he said a prayer for his new wife.

Polly was irritated. She wasn't asked to attend the birth which was fine, but she wasn't sure how much support Lizzie would have gotten from Thomas and the hospital staff. 

Hospitals were places for death and sickness, not for bringing life into the world. Too many lost souls wandering around. She sighed and gave up waiting. Picking up the phone she dialed the hospital. 

The news she expected came through clearly over the receiver. Close family was now able to come and visit, except they clearly didn't think to call her to tell her everyone was okay. 

Polly threw on her coat and stepped out in the brisk early morning air. Arriving at the room and looking around she could see that everything was certainly not okay. 

Thomas’s hair was striking up from his fingers running through it. He was pacing the messy room with a small bundle attached to his shoulder. Coming into the room she walked up behind him and saw the dark blue eyes of her niece peering over his shoulder. 

Thomas turned and almost walked right into her jumping out of his skin. No one had ever been able to sneak up on him before. She wasn't sure what to say till she realized that Lizzie, nor her things, were in the room. Her heart wrenched but seeing the fright in Tom’s eyes she pulled herself together. 

“Fuck sake scared the life out of me.” He grumbled quietly.

“Sorry, love.” She said kindly, in a tone she hadn't used since he was small. “Do you want me to take her for a moment? Have you eaten?” She started fussing over him and was grateful that he had accepted her help. 

She took her niece and tears prickled in her eyes. 

“Lizzie is going to be alright.” His voice was tight. “She’s going to be in recovery for a few days though. When she wakes up we can take her over.” He looked out the window to avoid Polly’s gaze. 

“Are you alright?” She asked hesitantly not wanting him to snap in front of the baby. 

“She’s too small, she won't take a bottle but she’s hungry, and she’s allergic to smoke.” The last part caused the edges of her mouth to curl. The image of Thomas being up all night without drinking or smoking was not something she thought would ever be a reality. 

“Pol Im serious she gets really ill - her lungs just” His voice caught again and he went back to staring out the window. 

“I’m not laughing.” She said calmly. “I’ll have some people go the house to air the place out.” This seemed to make him relax a little. 

Just then she started to cry out, Thomas automatically reached out for her and then relaxed when Polly waved him off. Poor thing was hungry and Pol was grateful she came out as round as she did. She had enough on her to wait a while for Lizzie’s milk to come in. 

She brought the bottle to her lip and laughed as she stopped crying to glare up at her. 

“You look just like your da.” The baby’s face stayed just as stony when a nurse came through to tell them that Lizzie was up and requesting them. 

She followed Thomas anxious to look over Lizzie and make sure they had done a good job with her. 

Her dark eyes greeted them. Her face was puckered from an argument and Thomas had never been happier to see someone in his life, this Polly was sure of. 

She looked shocked, eyes wide as Thomas bent down to hold her tightly. She gave Polly a look and it took a lot to keep from laughing again. 

“Here she is now.” Pol brought the babe over and moved to the chair in the far corner of the room. She said a prayer thankful that their little family had made it through the night. Her prayer was interrupted by Lizzie's voice.

“What do you mean I can’t smoke?!” Lizzie hissed at Thomas and Pol got worried they would scare the babe. “Bring the doctor in I’m going to cut him myself.” 

“It’s not you, it’s her. She’s allergic. Gets really sick - Her lungs - You can’t - she just-” His voice was wavering again and Pol was relieved that Lizzie registered that he was scared for the little girl. 

“Oh, she was ill?” Now Lizzie’s voice was worried.  

“Yeah, but I caught it quickly.” He reassured her. “Pol is going to get people to clean the house and air it out.” 

“Oh, no. Tom.” Her voice got high and she clutched the little girl tightly. “It must have been a horrible night.” 

“No, no it was nice. She’s excellent company. Just glad you are alright.” He put on a brave face and Pol had hope that this experience would only bring them closer. 

She had cleaners go through the house and brought them food. Surprised that Thomas took the time off work to stay by Lizzie for her recovery. The family struggled at first but adapted to smoking outside. 

It was a curse till she was a teenager, in which Tommy rejoiced knowing it kept her far away from pubs, parties, and nightlife. Not to mention if she had friends over to play or for sleepovers they had to come to their smoke-free house. If a boy wanted to take her out for dinner, they ended up eating alone in the kitchen at the house as restaurants were no better than pubs. 

(Unfortunately, the only boy in all of England that didn’t smoke happened to be the son of Alfie Solomons)
