Also let me share a head canon of mine about the silly magician!

I like to think that, even though he's immortal, he needs a whole bunch of spells to keep his body up and working properly. And if he doesn't he'll just... literally break. The scary part is that he's won't die and still retain consciousness and since he's broken he wouldn't be able to recite the spells to fix himself.

ough i love that,, admittedly i don't know a ton about him just yet, but i'd like to think he'd eventually share that with MC as a just in case sorta thing. i imagine it's been a long time since he's been this close to someone else, let alone another magician who would potentially be able to help if god forbid something happened

here's my take on him! i love the headcanon that he has slightly iridescent hair after years of magic use...

also he may be immune to the effects of aging, but i don't think he's fully immune to the toll stress takes on your body over time.. also maybe genetics? any excuse to give him dimples and eyebags really LOL

Sure, I've talked about the long-term effects of magic on Solomon's hair.

But what about his eyes?

Those eyes that were brown as a kid and nothing but. Now? They're so much more. Now they almost look similar to one's of the non-humans around him with the many tones you see.

No matter what angle you may look at Lucifer or Simeon's eyes, they will remain the same colors, but Solomon's eyes behave much more differently than theirs.

Because, sure, from head-on they're still brown - but as you shift your angle of approach, it's hard not to notice the change. The slow blend of grey into the tone. And as you go even further, that grey completely takes over, before being blended with an icy blue that will do just the same. Looking at him from below changes how the colors mix, and looking from above too. It seems that with every change in angle, no matter how slight, they too will change ever subtly.

The same powerful magic that altered his hair has also made his irises lenticular (and this time around, he is actually aware of it).

Solomon likes tea.

Hell, he used to be solely a tea-drinker. And through most of the day, it’s still what he prefers.

But anymore, in the mornings especially, his day simply can't start until he’s had a cup of Hell’s Coffee brewed by his beloved. He needs to taste that overwhelming - nearly sickening - bitterness.

Because that is him physically tasting the intensity of their love.

I think that magic in obey me would have quite a curious effect on the humans that use it, especially those with greater sums of power. This foreign energy that they learn to channel and use far differently than the angels and demons that were made to wield it… surely it would have to change their physical beings in some ways, yeah?

Casting aside the silly jokes about Solomon's hair turning white due to his aging immortality… I do think that his magic has done more than just that. It's not easy to see. Especially in the dark of the Devildom (and honestly, bright artificial lights don't do it justice either). It's only when he's in the sun do you really see it - the subtle extra shine and faint shades of pink, blue, and green.

His hair is pearlescent. And he's hardly even aware of it.

It developed so slowly, over hundreds of years of sorcery, and his hair is kept short enough that it's not like he'd see it upon his shoulder. It'd take until someone explicitly pointed it out to him that he'd stop and take a good look at his reflection, pinching some of the strands on his head, and watching the colors dance within the delicate luster - wondering how in the hell he hadn't noticed before.
