one of the reasons i think that is hard for singlets to wrap their brain around about us plurals is that no one of us has the same experiences with everything.
i always see singlets asking us how we experience X or what X is like for us and the truth is that.... everymany of us is different.
there's some discourse around the idea of whether or not sysmembers can die in the headspace. The truth is that sometimes they can for some people! but other times they can't! Sometimes people define things like dormancy and death differently. Sometimes there are different laws inside of our headspaces, that don't apply inside of the real world. We can experience supernatural things, someone might already be dead when they show up and still exist and front. Because they're a ghost, or a zombie, or whatever else. And maybe sometimes they can't be. Sometimes the laws of the physical world do apply in headspace. Everybody is different!
Also, sometimes plurals are going to find certain things offensive, and others won't. We personally find it really offensive to think of ourselves as "parts of a whole" instead of "many people sharing a body" But I've seen others who actually find that it's comforting and healing to think of themselves as "parts" who were created from trauma. It literally always depends on the system.

Reminder to all the headmates/alters out there that developing a distinct style of talking, an accent, a sense of style, a sense of individuality, aside from the rest of your system, takes practice a lot of the time. You don't need to feel like you're not distinct enough, figuring out who you are can take time, and figuring out how you are most comfortable talking and existing is a process of trial and error. Don't fret about it– you'll figure it out eventually.

🦴⛓️; One thing I don’t understand is how in some plural spaces there’s a rule like “littles must be accompanied by a big/caretaker!” As if we have control over that?
Usually our littles front alone. They can handle themselves, though (as long as Scout stays quiet, because pups voice is SO different and high-pitched and pup can’t mask pupself). Idk just fronting isn’t something especially disordered systems can control, sometimes non-disordered systems can’t either.
Offline we have our partner system who is great at calming us down when we’re triggered, and their own caretaker will front for our littles. Im sure most other systems (especially those around our body-age) have their coping skills?
Idk it’s just a weird rule! Weirdly controlling over other systems! I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this and it’s really strange.

Anyways, to be a bit more positive after my last post,
Systems who are bodily people of colour, you're cool as hell. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. You're just as valid of a system.

happy pride month to all the systems this year!
whether you're all queer, just a few of you are queer, you all have a collective queer identity, you all have different sexualities and genders,
you're systemfluid, your queerness is intrinsically tied into your systemhood, you have an "unconventional" queer identity (such as aplatonic or mspec mono or lesboy or turigirl or neogenders or you use neopronouns,)
you have trauma around being queer,
you're questioning, you're a tranny, a fag, or otherwise; to all the queer systems, i wish you the best pride you can possibly have, and i hope you and your alters, parts, and headmates are proud of themselves and their queer identities.
take care of yourselves this year, and stay safe <3
don't add dni tags to my post; anyone of any syscourse stance and system type can interact. pride is for everyone
[pt: don't add dni tags to my post; anyone of any syscourse stance and system type can interact. pride is for everyone /end pt]

systems that stream openly as a system, hear me out
vtuber model for the system where alters each have their own toggles/outfits so they can be properly represented as they front
it'd obv be a lot of work but it'd be so rad

This is something I've thought I knew but realized I still have to internalize so
Systems, accept that your system is complex and that over time it will change.
The plural community has a fixation on over defining everything, this isn't always a bad thing and it comes from the desire to be understood when being plural is an experience that is almost inherently pretty isolating. But if you focus too much on that you're going to get so comfortable in thinking you Know how your system works that you'll try to rely on things that could change at any point, and restricting yourself rather than accepting these changes is making the transition painful.
For a few years I told people that we mostly have control over who forms and who fronts, and I was really secure in this idea too but then more and more unwelcomed people started forming in system and it became a problem not just for me but for people I'd given that expectation to.
For a while when I was a newer system I was sure that serious inner-conflicts weren't something this system would have. Like, sure we bickered sometimes but we share a brain so we Have To Co-exist and we all get that so we won't ever have to worry about it. And then we found out one of our members had been seriously hurting people in headspace and had been covering it up for years. If we hadn't been in denial about our ability for conflict maybe less people would have gotten hurt.
The human brain is never in a fixed state of being, and because of that you cannot rely on things to stay the same about how your system functions- and it's possible that you've misinterpreted how your system works based on what info you have now but will prove yourself wrong later.
All this to say that it's super important to embrace change and to accept that when it comes to how your system will function in the future you can't Really make any promises. If you consider anything as something that Could Happen it becomes a whole lot easier to prepare for it and transitions into new phases of your system will go a lot more smoothly.

Fictives who identify closely with their source, who talk about their source/exomemories like it's their life, who engage in the fandom of their source, who "blorbo-ify" themselves, who want to be treated like their source, who read fanfiction of their source, you guys are awesome & valid as fuck.

🪻🦊; So we coined a system origin term a while ago on an old blog. We don’t want to say which blog or the term (keeping safe from certain people) but it’s like
We see more and more and more systems identifying with the term and adding it to their bios. Someone made a flag for it in April.
This is great. It’s like my child that I released to the world is growing and making changes. I love that the plural community loves that term.
