Imma talk about Helluva Boss cause I love the show and I don't talk about it much on here.

I've been watching the show since the day the pilot got released. And Blitzo has always been my favorite character ever since. I always seen him almost like Deadpool in a way; funny, badass, serious, sassy, (don't remember how true this is for Deadpool but) asshole, etc. I do love Fizz, Loona, Moxxie, Millie, and all of the other characters, but Blitzo has always been in that #1 spot for me. And the fact that his is the main character in the show, that's clearly saying a lot, because I don't think I've ever had a super favorite character that actually is the main character before (usually it'd be villains and/or side character). And I think this is because I don't usually see enough struggle, or perhaps a more of a human feeling towards a main character?? (I honestly don't know how else to word this). Well, yeah, obviously I root for the main character to complete their quest, save the day, blah blah blah. But to actually connect with them on a deeper level?? That never really happened before... until Blitzo.

And no, I don't share any heavy trauma related or any traumatic past experience that Blitzo went through, so I don't relate to him on a personal level. (Just so we're clear, I actually had a healthy childhood and my life is pretty chill majority of the time). The reason why I say I can have a deep connection to Blitzo is because of how much of a complex character his is. He's not black and white, and he's not like Charlie from Hazbin Hotel (no hate to her I actually like her). Perhaps the reason could also extend to how each episode is uploaded one at a time with at least a few months gap in between. With how the episodes are uploaded, I believe it helped me to actually spend time and learn about the characters more, especially about Blitzo.

During the first season, they've kept Blitzo's past subtle, not really info dumping us viewers. Although, Season 1 does give us a few glimpse of Blitzo's inner problems, and they showed it more vividly in Truth Seekers. (I will not be going into too much details cause I don't want to make a very long post).

Season 2, however, we get to see more into Blitzo's past and his childhood. The season literally starts out with a backstory about how he and Stolas met on Stolas's birthday. (The episode's name is The Circus if you wanna rewatch, or go check it out for yourself). Also, in the very next episode, Seeing Stars, we get a flashback of when Blitzo adopted Loona, how he saw parts of himself in her and wanted to give her a better home and life right then and there! He could've chose ANY OTHER Hellhound, and yet, HE CHOSE LOONA!

Throughout Season 2, we met Barbie for a little bit, and clearly she's still hurting from the accidental fire that Blitzo caused. And in Oops, Fizz and Blitzo actually talked about the incident (while being under attacked Moxxie's insane mafia father), and Blitzo explained to him that he did cared, he was trying to look for help, but it was too late. And Blitzo wasn't even allowed to visit Fizz (guess who's fault that was). Oh, and there was this whole anti-Blitzo party that Verosika hosted thing.

And... this Halloween's episode. Ghostfuckers. We didn't just saw more of Blitzo's past or how badly his trauma and "break-up from Stolas" was haunting him. We saw HIS POINT OF VIEW. We saw his point of view of events from previous episodes, what he actually saw vs what us viewers saw. And there's a huge different, and I think the visuals speaks for themselves, honestly. (I almost cried a few times while watching it in art class. That's how emotionally attach I got to Blitzo).

This show has been going on for almost 5 years, which it's insane to think about. And the fact we've spent that much time with the characters, we were able to learn a lot about them. That couldn't be anymore truer for Blitzo. When we first saw him long ago in the Pilot (that's no longer canon to the actual lore), we didn't think much of him, at least, I didn't think much of him. At first, I just thought "oh, funny asshole demon that has a killing business" and nothing else. Now, it's "holy shit this guy needs more than therapy."

I honestly could go on longer about Blitzo in general, but this post is already getting too long and it's almost 1am for me (when I'm writing this). I knew I had a lot to share, but holy shit, I didn't expect to have THIS much to share... oops.

In short; Blitzo has that human complex type of character built into him, making him completely grayscale rather the "black and white" stuff, and how spread out the episodes are, I managed to build a deep emotional connection to him to the point where I wanna hug him. I'm probably not the first one to say it, but I'm very proud of how far he has come, even though some of his ideas weren't exactly the best ideas (I think we all know what I'm referring to). And based on Ghostfuckers, I have great hopes that he'll continue moving forward, even though it'll take him a while. But hey, progress is still progress, and the road to recovery is one helluva bumpy road :D. I'll definitely still be rooting for him, cheering him on to continue the progress, and I know that one day, he'll truly be happy in his life.

You glare at the door in front of you, debating running away and back to the comfort of your own bed. No, comfort wasn’t the right word. Your mattress felt unusually hard tonight, and the sheets felt like sandpaper grinding against your skin. Your blankets were too hot and you felt suffocated underneath them, but that wasn’t nearly as bad as the uncomfortable sensation you got from sleeping without any covers. After an eternity of contemplation, you will yourself to lift your hand to the door, your knuckle knocking against the wood. Regret immediately hits you as the sound rings through your ears, but you stay still. It’s been too long since you got a good night's sleep and you weren’t gonna let an overgrown chicken stop you from getting that. You’re not letting your guard down, and you’re not letting yourself forget about the monster he really is. The love he claims to shower you with is nothing but poison he decorates with food dye and glitter. And you won’t fall for it, no matter what.

”What’s the matter darling?” he opens the door and you reluctantly crane your neck upwards to meet his eyes.

”I can’t sleep.” you say simply, hands clinging onto your pyjama shirt.

You don’t miss the way his smile widens ever so slightly, before he asks, “Do you wanna sleep in my bed?” he pushes his door open further, allowing you to get a look at his bed. Your body has never felt as exhausted as it does when you see his bed. It’s just so big and fluffy, and the blankets are so soft, you feel like they’re calling to you, telling you to come sleep.

The thought of saying no and marching back to your own room crosses your mind more than once, but you genuinely don’t think you have the energy to do that right now. Nodding your head, you remind yourself of all the shit he’s put you through, you just really want a good sleep. You’re not falling in love with him like he’s so convinced you eventually will and you never will, you know that. 

“Is everything alright with your bed sweetie? Anything you need fixed?”

“I dunno I just couldn’t sleep.” you shrug, frustrated over how genuine his voice sounded.

He grabs your shoulders, leading you to the bed, "Well not to worry darling, you're always welcome to sleep in my bed."

You know that. Not a day went by when he wasn't reassuring you that there wasn't any pressure to sleep with him, and that he trusted you to grow comfortable with him in your own time. Though apparently not enough to not kidnap you. You keep reminding yourself of that whenever you catch yourself thinking about how nice he treats you. Or whenever you find yourself wanting to believe him when he tells you how much he loves you. 

The bed as you suspected is comfortable as fuck. The soft sheets and blankets gently hug your body, and you can feel yourself sinking into the mattress. It's almost enough to make you forget about your captor lying next to you. Almost.

"You comfortable honey?" his voice rings through your ear, making you aware of just how close he is.

Shuffling over to further the distance between you, you sigh, ”I hope you know I’m only doing this for your bed, this has nothing to do with you.”

”I know.” he answers nonchalantly, making your chest tighten with frustration.

You sit up, staring at him with the coldest glare you can muster, ”I just want it absolutely clear that I’m exhausted yet I took like, ten minutes standing in front of your door, contemplating sleeping in the same bed as you.”

”You’re adorable baby.” he says tiredly, laughing softly as if this were just some joke. His hand gently but firmly pushes you back down to the bed, done with the ease of moving a pillow. You go to make yourself more comfortable on the bed, but feel Ozzie's hand pull you against his much larger body.

Before you can even begin to struggle, you're trapped between him and his arm, as his mumbled voice softly speaks to you, "Get some rest darling. I love you."

Why Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss have a Misandry Issue Part 1

A part of me questions myself if I have to make this post, but then I decided in my free time I finally let go of my doubts and have finally decided to make this post, bec deep inside I wanted to be honest with both of these shows how it depicts men including men who are part of the LGBTQ spectrum, the post will be me going in depth of the creator's shows, that includes the analysis and criticisms of Vivziepop's work.

If you are uncomfortable with this topic that I'm going to discuss, you can choose not to continue reading this post however if you are willing to continue regardless of the contents and sensitive topics that I'm going to discuss, please proceed with caution.

So first let's talk about Misandry, since this term isn't as well known as Misogyny, Misandry's definition is the dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against men (i.e. the male sex). However Misandry is a term I didn't recognize being used until this year when I found on Reddit that there are few posts and comments talking about it compared to Misogyny, and it surprised me why isn't this term isn't as talked about but then in my experience on Twitter and Reddit that there are certain subreddits and other comments denying that "Misandry doesn't exist."

To which I disagree while yes I'm a woman, I do see and experience Misogyny in online spaces including in real world and other women face thru issues like sexism, physical and emotional abuse from other men, r@pe, sexual harassment and etc., that still doesn't excuse being biased and ignore what men faced thru in real life, there are stories I've seen from other men who were drugged and also being physically abused by their ex girlfriend or other women, r@ped and sexually abused by the older woman or in this case an older man, I've seen a video before of a guy singing on stage only to get groped on his dick by a woman and she laughed at him and at the end he was shocked and left the stage from embarrassment, falsely being accused of sexual assault, toxic yaoi fangirls sexually harassing gay or straight men of who's the top and bottom, little boys being molested or raped by older people, families and that includes male and female teachers, telling Men to stop crying bec Boys can't cry, there is also a Twitter post from a woman wishing Male Suicide rates go up, there are few Twitter posts from Women wishing to abort male babies from existing, ignoring Male SA Victims and laugh at their experience bec they got "lucky" and wish they got into their place, Media that makes jokes about Male SA and etc., seeing these stories from men who experience that really made me feel sorry for them and I don't think they deserved that. Plus, this isn't me discrediting female victims I do also support them including male victims, in regards to r@pe just bec it happens to women it can also happen to men including people on the LGBTQ community and nobody deserved to be r@ped, I'm not an SA Survivor, but I'm so glad I didn't experienced it bec of how traumatizing and horrifying r@pe is, and also a comment earlier I've seen on Reddit is that Women and children r@ped and died from the hands of men, yes I'm not denying it definitely exists but doesn't mean we can ignore that it can happen to men including little boys in the hands of their abusers and murderers. Also my brother was physically abused by my father and my sister had to witnessed the abuse on front of her, my Mom and Dad were always fighting personal problems and I was also physically abused by my father before my parents separated and it took me years for my father to changed as a person before he died in Sept 5, 2016 due to Stroke. Plus this year is his death anniversary, I understand if there are children who can't forgive their abusive parent but for me my father proved to me that he can change as a person and I have already have forgiven him before he died.

The main reason why I want to discuss Misandry bec it relates to Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss while I can see many posts discussing the main female characters and how they are handled by Vivziepop and I completely understand why the critical community have many posts and videos about that, the issues that happened with the male characters in regards to Misandry have few posts which is why I want to tackle it.

The next topic I want to tackle is the MLM or Gay Representation in the show Helluva Boss bec this also the main reason why I made this post.

Vivziepop and her crew loved to boast and pride about their Queer Representation but as someone who watched the show, as a bisexual woman myself, the Queer Representation is just as shallow and a mixed bag to be honest, the reason for that is Viv's depiction of gay men is not only misandrist but also sexist on how they were depicted. But before we deep dive to the male gay characters on how they were depicted I wanted to focus on the term that is mostly being used on fictional gay relationships that is Yaoi. Yaoi is a Japanese term for manga that features sexual romance between men, specifically as created by and for women. In the West, yaoi is used more generally to refer to any anime, manga, fan fiction, that focuses on romance between men. Although to be fair, Yaoi from what I've seen can also be consumed by gay men, the main reason I brought up Yaoi is that because Viv's shows are being accused of stereotypes about gay men such as fetishization of r@pe, power imbalance, sexual harassment and etc. That's because Yaoi is a very controversial subject in the community where there are gay people who are split about the depictions of gay men in Yaoi and BL's, there are gay men who dislike the fetishization and that it only appeals to women but there are others who defend it as just fiction.

For me personally I don't think there's an issue with consuming Yaoi or BL's and I'm not saying women can't enjoy it, but as someone who is desensitized to the stereotypes that BL I consumed in my earlier teen years I can't just ignore the real issue, bec back then I used to be a proshipper, I used to defend artists who were being sent death threats and harassments from antis and I used to defend problematic fiction and ships and I always go thru arguments with people who don't like it, I was offensive and also not mentally well in the past but as of this year I no longer support Proshipping since I do not stand by that including my not so great behavior from the past, but that doesn't mean I will not stoop down to the same level of antis that will harass or threaten proshippers and I don't accept that. However just bec it's fiction argument, it still needs to be criticized for valid reasons, and also just bec Yaoi have stereotypes does this mean the entire genre is like this? No, there are other stories who don't fall into the same problematic stereotypes, but still sadly, Yaoi and BL is still controversial for continuing it's stereotypical depiction of gay men and it's also mostly present in Webtoons and Manhwas.

When I revisited GoatJesus' video about Examining the Yaoi ★ BL Genre where he as a gay man analyzes but also criticize Yaoi's depiction of men but also praises other shows for straying away from stereotypes and there are certain parts of the video that stood out to me that I will put here where GoatJesus talks about the main points about Yaoi. To which I edited 2 clips into 1 video.

Regarding the women who write BL or Yaoi's, I'm not against women who write that specific genre, nor I'm mysogynistic that women have no freedom to write stories, and I do believe that not many female authors fall into writing stereotypes about gay men, however this does not mean that I can't just ignore that other women and other most popular female writers who still write harmful views onto gay men and this comment under GoatJesus video sums up my main issues from that online article that was being discussed.

The reason it's related to Vivziepop, bec Viv herself a female writer still falls into writing stereotypes about gay men and I will finally discuss on the subject of Helluva Boss first before Hazbin Hotel. The first characters we will going to tackle is Blitz, the main character and founder of IMP, and he himself is also confirmed to be Pansexual.

I'll be completely honest, Blitz is an interesting character, he himself have relationship problems of his insecurities getting in his way and mostly the mistakes that he made to people whom he used to be closed with, and he usually acts as confident and arrogant and badass on the outside but deep inside he had issues, but the way the show tackles jokes that Blitz made is really uncomfortable most especially in Season 1 where he made rape threats to Moxxie and his wife Millie.

That next episodes includes making demeaning jokes to Moxxie and let's not forget sexual harassment and invading space of the Imp couple.

The biggest problem is that Blitz up until Apology Tour had never tried to apologize for making Moxxie uncomfortable and invading him and his wife's personal space, while yes it is true that Blitz himself craves for a healthy relationship that he sees in them that doesn't excuse his past actions. This is not only the issue I see in Blitz's character this is also how other characters also treat him like dirt. Let's start with Loona, Blitz was a caring but also overprotective of Loona bec he himself first discovered Loona at the adoption center for Hellhounds where he saw Loona fending herself against a male hellhound who tried to hurt her and she herself was alone and crying about how depressing her situation was, which thankfully Blitz with good intentions did finally adopted her and became her dad, throughout S1 Loona herself was like any other emo goth girl but for Blitz regardless of Loona's personality still loved her, this however changed in Spring Broken where Loona developed a crush on Vortex and that's where Blitz developed his overprotective tendencies to which when they got in the human world where Loona tried to start a conversation with Vortex until Blitz interrupted them bec he wanted to focus on the main goal of getting back their parking space from Verosika and that's where they both started arguing bec Loona thinks Blitz can't leave her alone and she told him he's not her real dad and she herself views as an adult, Blitz cannot control his overprotective tendencies and Loona tells Blitz she doesn't need him. Loona later tries to apologize but Blitz cuts her off and tells her to enjoy her break while he continues finishing his job, although after Millie defeats the fish monster they both came back in the human world, in Truth Seeker, Loona and Millie where willing to rescue the boys who were left in the human world and being abducted by the Dhorks and Loona was willing to help her team defeat the members of the Dhorks and Loona was given a kiss in the cheek by Blitz and he was proud of her for helping IMP to which she was embarrassed but still continues fighting. The episode that stood out to me is Queen Bee which is the last segment where Loona takes care of the drunk Blitz and was willing to let him rest after Blitz tells her his insecurities of his fear of dying but Loona reassures him she will be there for him.

You know maybe Loona wasn't that bad to Blitz right? Right? Wrong, in the past I used to liked Seeing Stars bec of Loona and Octavia's relationship develop like sisters, yet this however doesn't excuse the problem on how Loona treats Blitz as she's suddenly violent and being abusive to Blitz for no reason like Blitz regardless of me not excusing how he treated Moxxie, but I don't recall him sexually harassing Loona nor talking about her body, all I remember is him trying to be a good dad to Loona yet somehow he's in the wrong for wanting Loona to be better and yet at the end get kicked in the nuts for no reason despite Blitz wanting to apologize to her because?

"HAHAHA! IT'S GIRLBOSS, AND FEMINIST TO KICK MEN IN THE NUTS FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN COMEDY! PLEASE LAUGH!!!"

That's not funny, that's insulting and it definitely regressed the development of Loona and Blitz father and daughter relationship in the first season. Loona however just like Blitz had never apologized for treating people in the wrong and the show somehow forgot about it and it just went back to normal. So anyways let's talk about Stolas, Stolas is by far one of the most controversial characters in the show bec there are people being split about his character, there are fans who loved him but there are haters who truly hated him, bec there are reasons the critical space is not fond or welcome of him, that's bec he has the power in the relationship bec he and Blitz were in a transactional relationship where Blitz is required to have sex with Stolas so that he can still borrow the Grimoire book to the human world for his business of killing people. The Reason there is a Power Imbalance comes from the fact that Blitz an Imp that is a lower class demon and Stolas is from the Goetia a higher class demon above imps and not only Goetias are also racists and looked down upon Imps with the exception of Octavia. This is the common trope that you may see in problematic relationships that also includes transactional relationships in Yaoi and BL's where the Seme has the power and masculinity in the relationship while the Uke is lower and have no agency of his free will and this is the equivalent of a heternomative stereotypes that is placed upon 2 men, while there are people who analyzed Yaoi said that it have Misogynistic tropes bec of hetenormative roles places upon men, I'd say in my opinion it's more Misandrist bec it doesn't view men in an actual gay relationship but in a lens of a straight person on how they view gay men. This is however in Helluva Boss the roles are reversed since Blitz is the top while Stolas is the power bottom, but let's be real if Stolas a Rich Goetia is the Top and have power in the relationship while Blitz is the bottom in lower class it would be much more controversial and people would see it more as sexual coercion. But bec the roles are reversed and why there are fans of the ship don't view it as toxic bec Stolas a gay bottom man was babyfied by the narrative that can't do wrong in the relationship and that Stolitz is just a misunderstanding of bad communication in a relationship when if anyone with critical lens would look deeper and see the relationship as problematic and there is a power imbalance in their relationship yet I found out that one of the fans of HB said that Stolitz is meant to be endgame by Viv, and I was like did Viv see nothing wrong in their relationship? The relationship was built from transaction, including Stolas sexually harassing Blitz in front of his daughter, was the result of cheating from his wife Stella as to why she was rightfully upset at her husband and it was retconned in Season 2 to make her a cartoonish villain with no depth compared to Stolas, and they were supposed to be canon at end? No thank you, Ma'am, Blitz deserved a better partner than Stolas or hell he could've fixed his relationship with Verosika since I found their relationship more interesting than Stolitz, yet Blitz was the one who should apologize to Stolas instead of Stolas taking accountability and not apologizing for looking down on him, sexually harassing him and having the power in the relationship. It's just frustrating to watch that not only diminishes the YT views of S2 compared to S1 but the relationship overtakes the premise of the show about assassination. Doesn't help the fact the show has the will they don't they kind of relationship where the show finds Stolitz to be romantic but also not romantic at the same just like how Viv and her writing staff view them.

Now let's talk about Chaz, he's the character I truly hate on my first viewing of him last year when the episode was released, he's the embodiment of everything wrong with Helluva Boss with it's overused of sex jokes relating to male genitalia or dick jokes and sexual harassment, the guy was just only part of Crimson's Mafia and being both Moxxie and Millie's ex boyfriend. His only character was just being annoying, talks about how sexy he was, his dick, sexually harassing Moxxie and annoying Millie and we don't exactly know why they break up, and his music theme is annoying to listen to. It's even worse that he's Pansexual and just like the main male characters in the show where they nonstop talk about their genitalia like Blitz, I'm serious what's the purpose of his character anyway? He almost serves no purpose to the narrative unless it was just him marrying Moxxie so he can get into Crimson's wealth. I'll be completely honest I'm glad he died, I felt so frustrated to watch him, and unfortunately he had a cult fanbase dedicated to him and there are others like me who don't like him either. I feel like I'm questioning Viv's view on gay men is disturbing to be honest.

Lastly, I wanna talk about Moxxie, my dear poor bisexual Moxxie, he was the character who was the the victim of sexual harassment, the butt of jokes, being humiliated for being in a healthy relationship with Millie that is being set in Hell. I do feel bad for how he was treated by the narrative that involves around SA, the show constantly makes jokes about Moxxie being SA by Verosika and her crew including Chaz and Blitz,

Doesn't help the fact in which he was forced to marry Chaz when he's also forced to wear a Wedding Dress against his will and was being tied up and turned to a damsel in distress for Millie to saved him, I'll be completely honest, I have no issues with Moxxie being Bisexual, the issue comes from the fact that the female and male characters humiliate and SA him and was being forced to a feminine role against his will, it's one thing if a gay man wants to express freely his sexuality and I have no issue with that, men can express being gay and not be shamed for it. The issue was that Moxxie was being forced against his will and it was irritating to see him like that, the last time the show never humiliates him is when he licks Blitz Asmodeus crystal to help him to activate and go back to the human realm bec Blitz conveniently can't activate it himself. However this does not excuse how the past episodes treat him.

This is the post I will make for Helluva Boss bec I have to rest and I will make a second post about Hazbin Hotel when I have time since there's a lot of stuff to unpack in another post. Just a reminder, this post I made have no bad intentions towards Vivziepop and her staff, this is just me a Bisexual Woman who consumes BL who was also being critical of the genre that I'm consuming and giving my personal and honest thoughts of Viv's depiction of her Gay men in her shows. Just a reminder if you want to comment on my post that's fine but I do not accept bigotry and homophobia, bec I might as well block you, all I want is a personal discussion of the gay representations being represented in the show. Day 8 of Regressuary

Theme: Lonely

Charachters: Berry and Queen Bee

Fandom: Helluva Boss

Summary: Berry learns that sometimes its okay to feel a bit lonely and that she doesn't always need to be regressed around people to be happy. She can just be happy with some alone time.

Authors Note: Thank you to @theogclownboy for helping me come up with this plot! Also, please reblog! It helps spread my regression content a lot more (esp because i realized my most recent fics havent gotten that much traction even though I put a lot of work into them) It just helps support me a lot!

Sigh.

Berry had been staring at her phone screen for about 10 minutes now, slightly swinging her phone from side to side to hear the gentle click-cling! Of her phone charm. She was soooooooo boooooooooored. After a not so busy day at the nail salon and a few days of canceled band practice due to scheduling issues with the rest of the members she practically felt like she was dying. She only talked to like 5 people max today! That was so not cool. She slunk further into her beanbag now feeling herself start to slip into littlespace, and frankly making things worse. She felt like she was so needy and attention starved when little. She just couldn't help it! Shes just a kiddo who needs to talk and play and run and urgh! So frustrating! Berry huffed looking back at her phone screen. 15 minutes now. 15 minutes and Bee still hasn't messaged her back. She knew she was probably busy but....it couldn't help but bother her. Not even her babysitter wanted to talk to her. Were people just avoiding her? She asked to herself now standing up to try and get her mind off of things. She pulled out her sippy cup and filled it with some energy drink to help herself out. The good thing about no babysitter meant that no one could stop her from having her energy drink! She giggled to herself while her tail wagged. "Im gonna be the most hyper princess the world has ever seen!"

Oh and she was the most hyper princess alright! Although the world couldn't see it. The world was too busy right now. Berry realized that about 2 laps into running around the room. No one to chase her....no one to chase....how in the heck was this supposed to be fun? She felt her hyperness settle down a bit as her mood had once again been ruined. One more glance at her phone got her heart rate all the way back up! Then plummeting down as she realized what the text message said:

💬 Sorry honey bee! Im at a sins meeting right now! I'll be busy for a few hours but as soon as im done ill be over there right away! Just in time to tuck you in!

In time to tuck her in? That was like forever from now! She would only get to see Bee when it was time for bed! "Urgh! It's not fair! Why doesn't anyone wanna play with me?" Berry said as she stomped her foot and threw her phone on the couch. She immediately plopped down onto the ground stubbornly and gave a big "hmph!". Although....no one was here to give her reassurance or talk her out of pouting anymore....what was the point of pouting if it wouldn't fix anything? Just make her feel worse? Berry sighed and got up picking up her phone again now sending back a message.

💬 Bee-Bee! How do I not be bored by myself?

This time Bee replied within a few minutes

💬 Oh honey that's easy! Some games need 2 people but other activities just need one! Like drawing or playing with dolls. Use your imagination! You have a big one and I know it! Now i really gotta pay attention but i'll talk to ya l8r baby bee! 💖🍯🐝

💬 Bye bye Bee-Bee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After sending her last message Berry put down her phone and thought for a second. She loved a lot of other activities! But a lot of them she did with Bee....although she just had to be creative! Berry began to pace around the room to think of something to do. Something she could do with just herself. It finally popped into her head! The ultimate girls night! But just with herself! A berry night!

It took about an hour to set up but Berry finally did it! She set up her own pillow fort, had a movie up and running as well as her coloring book and nail kit nearby to do both her and her plushies nails! "Bee-bee is gonna be so proud of me when she comes! Then we can....oh wait we can't. Bee-Bee's coming home late...." Berry said with a whimper as she felt herself getting sad again. She sat in front of her plushie peppermint and sighed. "Whadda I do peppermint? I did everythin Bee-Bee said buh I still feel lonely....no one wants to talk to me or-or play or anythin! No one wants ta be around me....except you and Usagi..." Berry said sadly in reference to her GIANT pink bunny plushie. "I guess if you and Usagi are here im not alone then..." Berry said after a bit of consideration as her ears perked up slightly. "Yeah....yeah! Im not alone because you're here for me! When no one else can be! And I know you both love me! And-and so does Bee buh shes just busy....and thats okay! Because im with my best-est-est-est friends in the world!" Berry said as she scooped up Peppermint into a tight hug and held the little plushie close to her. "I think im okay now. All the nasty lonely is gone an now its time ta have some fun! With my own night! Its a berry night!" She said as her Berry Night went on with lots of movies, snacks, coloring, popcorn, and fake gossip filled her night with fun. Maybe being by herself wasn't all that bad sometimes! She could simply just make her own fun.

I have to say, that recently I have decided to stop engaging with younger fans on the internet (teenagers that are antis, to be precise) and that I just let them be; because at the end I feel that their experiences as younger people and as people of this generation just make Helluva Boss something not understandable/accesible/engaging for them because of the lack of shared experiences they had with people of our generation and our struggles. It makes sense. Helluva boss is thought precisely in young adults or middle aged adults that have already went through some stages and rocky paths.

As a young teenager (like 13 years) I wouldn’t have understood this show. Of course I don’t think I would have been an anti either. These guys have been over-hateful, and I understand how they are able to really get to you sometimes, but still, I think we should really think about how we talk about this issue. Because at the end, they are still young and some of them still have a lot to learn.

People of our generation that don’t like it express more understanding at least about what the show it’s aiming for, and is more about not being able to invest themselves because of the aspects the show have that they don’t like or the flawed parts like the tonal changes, humour or pacing. Which I completely understand. Please just, let us be a little and have fun; and for the love of god, do not become an anti, thanks lmao. I assure you we have no issue with you if you don’t bother us, or if you are respectful at the very least and don’t insult us for liking a show.

Sometimes I feel that internet should have more separated spaces between teens and adults. I want to know what would happen if in the future if a teen that watched this show very young, then rewatches it as an older adult. Would they feel the same? or different about it? Even if they still do not like it.

The twitter discourse about this is kinda terrible but it made me think about all of this. I like how when we comment about criticism here we do it more to assure ourselves and support between us, than to engage with or against specific people.

Gangle has always been quiet and shy about telling others about what she liked and was interested in. Only Zooble has seen her drawings. Zooble and you. You were another resident of the circus and the one who was often called strange. The reason for this was that you were a pretty nerdy person with a lot of weird, unusual hobbies and skills. Despite the fact that you've heard a lot of complaints from other people, you weren't shy about what you knew and what you could do. Looking at you, Gangle was amazed at your self-confidence. Even when Jax was teasing you and bothering you, you didn't pay much attention to it. It's like you've been used to it for a long time, and Gangle assumed that it really was like that. But there was something that genuinely pleased her. She was glad that she finally had a like-minded person

You were always happy to have the opportunity to talk about anime and manga that you both knew about. You often sat in her room and chatted about everything in the world that you were interested in. Next to you, she felt like she didn't have to hide her real emotions. She could safely talk about what she liked and not be afraid that you would find it childish or stupid. She told you that she wanted to draw comics and showed you some of her drawings and felt warm when you sincerely praised her. You thought she had talent and that she was really good at drawing. At that moment, Gangle was ready to cry. There were so few people who sincerely supported her interests and hobbies, so few who supported her dream. But you took it seriously, realizing that it was really important to her and you were ready to support her in her aspirations

When you noticed that Gangle was upset, you tried to cheer her up. The digital circus gave you a lot of creative freedom and you could use a variety of materials and your many skills to cheer her up. You were even ready to fight with Jax when he upset her again. You didn't like to get involved in conflicts, but it was hard for you to see her so upset. Watching you strive to make her life a little better, she couldn't help but think that you were like a knight, like the main character of a manga. It made her feel like the main character herself, and she just couldn't resist drawing a little comic book where you would be the main characters. But she would never have been able to show you this comic

When Gangle first joined the circus, she felt almost desperate. She was locked, just like the others. But now life in the digital space didn't seem so bad. Of course, she would like to return home, but if she had the opportunity, she would like to meet you there. She would like to get to know the real you and show you what she really is

Day 11 of Regressuary

Theme: Games

Charachters: Berry and @theogclownboy Zeek

Fandom: Helluva Boss

Summary: Berry learns to adapt her games to include Zeek who regresses younger than her.

Authors Note: Due to my cramps I cant sit down properly, meaning I also cant sit down at my pc properly to edit this fic with its dialouge colors. Im sorry but for the next few days I most likely wont be able to do so. I also apologize for how rushed these may seem, im having a bit of brain fog and don't wanna fall behind too much on these fics. "Zeekie!"

Berry shouted out instantly as she saw Zeek, she had heard a bit about him from her friend Roxie but now Queen Bee had set up a playdate for the two of them! Once Bee dropped her off she put down her plushie peppermint to check out what Zeek was doing. He waved once he saw Berry walk over to him, right now he was playing with his toy train-set right now. Berry plopped down next to him and looked on intently. "Are you playing trains? That exciting I love trains! Do you like trains? Ooh I always wanted to be on a train before! Wait-no I wanna be a conductor of a train! Just for one day because it'll be super awesome and fun and I can ask for tickets and-" Berry began to ramble at 100 words a minute before seeing the confused look on Zeeks face. She stopped her ongoing line of thought and chuckled. "Oh-oopsies, sorry I forgot to slow down a little." "Uhm das otay...I like my twains! Dey go choo-choo!" Zeek said happily as he scooted them around the track. It didnt take long for Berry to get bored of just watching him push the train around and around though and she instead went over to the games corner and pulled a board game out, plopping it on top of the tracks and blocking the train. "Ok thats getting boring! Lets play this! Its super-duper easy and its really fun and not boring!" She said as she got on the floor and unpacked the game board and pieces. "Wait! I wanna play wif my twains though!" Zeek started to protest but Berry cut him off. "We can play trains later! Lets play this fun boardgame first!" She said as she finally set everything off and read the rules out loud.

After a long list of rules and explanations of how to play the game she points to Zeek who already doesn't seem to be having much fun. "Okay! You get to pick one of these lil pieces and thats who you get to play as!" She said as she held out the small box of little figures. Zeek grabbed one shaped like a bunny. "Ooh I wan dis one! It jus wike bunny!" Berry shook her head taking it from him. "Wait! You can't use that piece, that for another square! You gotta pick another one." She said as she pointed to one of the squares that had a bunny on it. Zeek huffed. "Buh buh I wanna play as th' bunny! I don't wanna use dese oder pieces!" He whined already not liking this game. It seemed way to strict and complicated for him. "Aw cmon theres lot of other cool ones in here! Like look you can be a cool suit dude! He kinda looks like a spy! I wanna be this girl with the cool skateboard!" She said excitedly, but once she realized that Zeek started the pout she just put down his piece on the board. "Uhm....o-okay! Thats okay i'll just choose this piece for you! Okay now we roll the dice! Here you can go first!." She said as she held out 2 dice to Zeek. Zeek, although frustrated took it from her and rolled the dice, getting a 10. "Okay now you get to cross this street and move 10 squares!" Berry said as she pushed the board towards him, now excited he was participating. "Um okay..." Zeek mumbled as he pretended that his piece was walking up the street. That is until his imagination got the best of him and he started moving towards the other place on the board. "Deres a fawm! My guy is goin dere instead!" He said as he walked his piece onto the farm square. Berry tried taking the piece from him but he pulled back. "No!" He said as he continued to pretend that his piece was on the farm petting the animals. "Buh thas not how you play Zeekie! You can't just go anywhere on the board!" Berry protested now getting frustrated. But Zeek was even more angry than she was. "Why not!?" He asked as he crossed his arms and huffed. "Because its apart of the rules! I read them all out, Zeekie!" She whined. Zeek stuck his tounge out and blew a raspberry as he threw his piece down. "I hate da wules! Its bowin and dis game is bowin! I hate dis game!" He said before he stormed off to play with his other toys. Berry tried to call back for him but it was too late. She sighed and threw her piece onto the board. What was she doing wrong? The game was fun for her but....Zeek didn't seem to understand it much....maybe these rules were too complicated for him? Perhaps she could make some adjustments that way they could both have fun...

A little bit later Berry had coaxed Zeek into coming back to playing with her, this time promising that she made the game 1000000000000000x more fun. "Okay now pick a charachter! Any one you want including the bunny!" She said. "I can pick da bunny?" Zeek asked hesitantly. Berry nodded proudly in response before picking her own piece and placing it on the board. Okay where do you wanna go? She asked. Zeek was confused. "I dont hab ta woll dat dice fingy?" "Nope! You just go wherever you wanna! And make your bunny have lots of fun!" She said happily, her tail began to wag once Zeek seemed to light up and moved his bunny to the amusement park spot. The two ended up playing Berry's new game for almost an hour! It was like dollhouse but with a board and pieces! Turns out even with a few edits to the rules the two could still have fun together.
