hey guys,,, so this is genuinely one of the hardest things i've had to come to terms with... i'm not good at asking for help, never have been. truth is, i was raised to be independent and as great of a quality that can be, it's also one of my greatest flaws... i would say. for a few months now i've been REALLY struggling. i was going to school and working, but work got to be so stressful, i kind of set school aside because i felt like i really needed to give work my 200%... and well i did just that. so during this time, i unfortunately lost my grandmother and i'm not going to pretend it's not one of the greatest tragedies i've ever had to face. she was such a big part of me, and losing her as been-- yeah. i still can't listen to marjorie by taylor swift. so, two week after i lost my grandmother, the job that i sacrificed so much for laid off all of it's employees with no notice. i've never felt so dispensable before, it really triggered something in me... all while also dealing with my loss and unemployment. flash forward to another 2 weeks- i got into a car accident. and well, the one thing i had paid off- i lost. now it's been 4 months, i'm unemployed, drowning in bills, unable to go back to school because i can't afford to- and i just kind of feel like the more i try to dig myself out of this hole i'm in, the deeper i fall in.

which brings me to the hardest part- asking for help, any help. advice, donations? reblogging? perhaps commissions? which i'm thinking of opening... but idek if anyone would be interested in that. i just need something... anything. i don't want to feel alone, and my birthday is coming up in a few weeks... i've never felt so low in my life. anyways--- i'm sorry about this sad story... i normally never rant like this- but i don't know what else to do.

What Mossysprout just found out about Snowbird/Scorchfur recently is absolutely morbid and disgusting. The fact that this was just found out is alarming.

We can't let this continue. We can't let Harper Collins and Working Partners keep getting away with this disgusting content.

For a basic summary, Scorchfur was an APPRENTICE around the time when he fathered Snowbird's first litter. This should never had made it into the book, typo or not. If you are writing a book for children, you can not keep doing this. As a victim of things like this, this is a final straw. I am going to be boycotting all new books, and I hope you will all do the same. Quackity: These past days I've been in many calls, and I'm not done yet. I've spoken to a lot of people and creators. I've read your comments and I'm well aware of what needs to be done to carry out this project. I want to tell you all, beforehand, that for me the team's well-being is fundamental. I'm very involved in this topic to sort it out and I want to make that very clear. I want to tell you something... I want to tell you all that the administrative staff responsible for so much harm to the project has been fired. Specifically, those who made decisions without my permission, affecting the administrative and financial area of the project. Consequently, after this, I was in charge of doing a financial analysis that's carrying out for the QSMP.

Guys, to be really honest, it was not going to last. Therefore, I've had to make deep drastic structural changes that have lead me to reduce the performance of the server down to the most essential, and this is in order to ensure the well being of everyone involved in it. Having said this, I want to give a very important update: I want to let you all know that the QSMP will have to slow down temporarily. This is to ensure this new structure adapts to the project, because it's a restructuring that's taking place. I'm letting you know, and I reiterate, there are no voluntary positions inside the QSMP.

At the moment, there will not be any more individual update accounts of all 5 existing languages in the project. In any case, during this transition, there's going to be a temporal absence of all Eggs and NPCs. I know these are difficult changes, and I repeat, it's temporary until we adjust to these new conditions that will improve the performance of this new structure that's being made from scratch, both in the administrative and financial part. I'd like to reintegrate people fro the QSMP as time goes by if a financial viability can be found for the project Taking advantage of this update to tell you guys that within the changes of the server as it is, creators will have full control of their lore and stories. The team will not intervene in the way that it was being done. Moreover, efforts will be made to change the competitive dynamics inside the game so as to ease up the game style for the creators. Like I'm saying, all of these changes, and more, are being carrying out to have the project as best as possible, and they're being done little by little. This is a whole new structure that will ensure the best continuity and experience for the creators, the community and the team behind.

Guys, I want to make very clear that this is restructuring process, and again, it's not a fast one. The server being open does not mean everything's perfect, I understand that very well. Conversations will keep taking place, communication will continue and the constant improvement of the project as well. I ask, please, for everyone's patience and understanding regarding all changes. Please do wait for official announcements since a lot of incomplete and incorrect information is being spread. I want to tell you all something- if you don't trust in these changes or have many doubts about it, and don't want to consume any more of the project's content, I understand 100%. I have a personal commitment with the QSMP and I will work until it functions in the way it is supposed to do.

Lastly, I want to let you know that it was being worked on for months on finalizing the integration of Korean creators to the QSMP. For that reason, tomorrow we will be welcoming the new Korean creators of the QSMP, of course, taking into account all the changes I've just mentioned. I hope you can give the new Korean members warm welcome to the project. And as you know, their schedules are earlier. For everyone who would like to watch, they will be joining at 11am Mexico time and at 9am US time. Basically, I wanted to give that update regarding everything that's being done within the project. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding- these are necessary changes and I'm glad they're being done now. And many more things will keep being adjusted.

you don't understand how normal i am about the mario & luigi series' FIRST game featuring prince peasley, a character who not only remembers luigi's name, but chooses to forget mario's all while continuously treating luigi like the extra special one out of both the brothers

like. this game emphasized the whole "haha luigi's a loser" mentality nintendo rly latched onto. in the start of this game he is repeatedly being forgotten and belittled and dragged along this way and that

and then all of a sudden this PRINCE shows up and starts giving luigi all this special attention like? AH. the idea that luigi's self esteem is already so low and then all of a sudden he's having roses thrown in his lap, nicknames given to him, and thanks/compliments left and right

not to mention the. ahem. butt stabbing scene...

and the aforementioned deliberate choice of words on peasley's part when referring to mario. he recognizes that luigi is hardly referred to by name and extends that kind of lack of recognition to MARIO instead of luigi, for once!

and luigi reciprocates hardcore! 

he starts greeting/saying goodbye to peasley by waving his hat, blushing around him, collapsing to the floor and sobbing when peasley puts himself in a dangerous situation, and rushing to hug him at the end of the game

and there’s other little things: like how peasley is straight up winking as he goes to catch luigi from falling 

and in the remake, luigi keeps peasley's rose under his hat! 🥺

in conclusion: i think their relationship is really important for luigi's self esteem and character arc and more people should witness and recognize their very canonical romance. thank you. <3

We are ORV fans who want to hold a charity event to raise funds for Palestine, inspired by the success of previous fandom Gotcha for Gaza charity events. We need YOUR help to fill in our interest check to see how many are interested in such an event.

HOW IT WORKS (for donors):

Fans who donate at least US$5 (or equivalent) to a verified Palestinian fundraiser can claim free ORV fanart/fanfics. (You will be donating directly to the fundraiser, we will not be collecting any money from you.)

Donors then submit a screenshot of the donation receipt or confirmation email as proof of donation.

Donors can then submit a prompt for an ORV fanart/fanfic you want to see. Your prompt will be assigned to a creator.

FOR CREATORS:

You can sign up as a fanartist, fic writer, or both. Everyone is welcome regardless of skill level!

Creators will be assigned a prompt from a donor. (You will be able to state in the creator sign-up form what kind of prompts you are willing, or not willing to create for, and you can say no to prompts that you're not comfortable with.)

You will be given at least 1 month to finish your piece, which can be minimum of a cleaned-up sketch or 1000 word fic.

Once done, you can post it on Twitter/Tumblr/AO3 and tag the donor (or if you'd rather be anonymous, we can post it for you).

so i gotta move for the third time in that many years. unfortunately between health problems and the General State of The Economy, I have been unable to find work to be able to save any money. i have no choice but to leave the entire state. i thankfully have somewhere to go, however I need help getting there. i've been trying to do the math to get what I need to its lowest amount possible, but even that is still at least $2.5k.

after this move, i should be able to get things more stable and I might even have a couple job prospects lined up in that area, but right now I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel funds wise and desperately need help.
