Working on my fantasy production hell comic and I spend a good 90% of the time thinking about how many letters of the LGBTQIA+ I can assign to my guys while I draw out concept art and jot down important information for story and worldbuilding

So I've already drawn a concept for if Galacta knight is the comet in the Forgotten Land DLC, but I have yet to draw him as the starries, which is explained loosely in the theory dump I messily drew. This is likely the last of the pre-DLC release fanart/concepts I will make until the game comes out unless we get some leaks I REALLY want to draw. I wanted to just get another concept out so I can see just how close I got the what the real final product will be.

So I usually talk about my own headcanons and theories in DMs with friends or on the one Kirby server I currently am on. But I do like to create tons of ideas and whatnot for this series because I love it (and also have a pipedream about working for HAL but that's not happening lmao).

So something I've noticed is that the Kirby series loves its patterns and similarities/repetitions to aid in telling its story/wordbuilding. I believe the Forgotten Land is very much the same with how this DLC will spell out. While we don't know if the main beast pack will be crystalized, if Dedede will get thrown in the torture chamber again, or if Meta will get that treatment now.

The one thing in this game however that has interested me in the post-game content. For one we got it confirmed that Morpho Knight is in the main timeline, seems to stay around Kirby/Dreamland, and has a possible early Meta-knight relationship with Kirby. It doesn't see Kirby as a mortal enemy rather someone to fight and train. In the end it literally seems to gift us the blueprint for its copy ability upgrade. I wonder if it will reappear in the DLC. I think it would be really cool if it was our ally this time, fighting with us against whatever the comet might be, though that's a toss in the dark in terms of ideas that have any theory based around them.

Okay now moving to my main idea, which is that maybe the starries are Galacta, but maybe the comet ALSO holds Galacta or something else. I'll explain what I mean. So we've kinda had the confirmation that souls exist in the Kirby series for a while, and FL continues that confirmation with Elfilis's remains taking Leon to Forgo dreams, kicking his soul out of his body and scattering it across the dimension. We see Kirby and Elfilin collecting those pieces along with the beast gang and returning them to Leon.

What if we see that again? Like this post-game shows us a similar occurrence that happened in actual important and built up Kirby lore? Using the Galacta possession theory I've brought up in the past, what if this is more than possession? What if, in a move similar to Elfilis, Void Termina used some of its power via jamba heart or other kind of ability to straight up steal Galacta knight's body from him, breaking apart and scattering his soul to prevent it from fighting back from the puppeting so Void can have something else to continue its reign of destruction. Those soul pieces are clinging to their identity and power though. They are self-aware and sentient, they can move and function without their body and even use some of their powers they still had as the whole Galacta knight. This is the sealing power we see refereed with in the gacha figures. Whatever these starries sealed away is in the comet if the lore points to such thing. We don't exactly know what's in the comet. What if it's Galacta's body? Now a shell filled with Void Termina's remaining power? What if Galacta's own soul sealed his body away? Or another hero of yore? Or another universal danger? We likely won't know until the DLC comes out.

THEORY UPDATE #2: NEW TRAILER DISCUSSION

Welp! Been a while hasn't it? This morning I got jumpscared with a new trailer for the DLC you can view here, and I have a LOT to say about it.

Uh, Did anyone else feel kinda weird about this trailer? It felt like they were kinda implying things but never showed anything. Almost as if a lot of this trailer was a red herring for the actual story. At least, that's the vibe I got off it. We were shown bits and pieces of the comet, but no actual details about it, we where shown the smaller characters of the beast gang crystalized, but not the main six or so. It feels like this trailer was edited together VERY cleverly. Leaving us with more questions than answers.

Anyways, let's cover minor details first and then to the bigger stuff.

THEORY/IDEA CONTENT STARTS AT TRAILER DETAIL #6

TRAILER DETAIL #1: New (or updated) food!

This one wasn't on my guesses, because I never thought about it, but it seems we are getting updates to some of our food, as we are shown a crystal car mouthful mode cake.

I'm curious to know if this is just an aesthetic change or actually changes the HP we get from it, considering I believe this DLC will be harder then any areas of the mainline game.

TRAILER DETAIL #2: Waddle dee name revealed and new gacha figs!

We finally got the name revealed for the mystery waddle dee, who is Astronomer waddle dee, who will likely be an important character in this DLC. This character also is the one who gives us our new gacha figs! As seen in the trailer we full them from this box they carry around in exchange for the starry coins we get.

TRAILER DETAIL #3: New mouthful modes!

So far, we have been revealed three new mouthful modes and have been told there are exclusively the three we will get, however I have my suspicions and believe there's actually four. Three modes we use in the main part of the DLC, and one use against the final boss we have not been shown yet. The three modes we have been shown are spring, gear, and sign mouth, each having unique abilities.

TRAILER DETAIL #4: New Colosseum mode!

I don't know if I've guessed this publicly but I did remember guessing privately that we would get at least one new Colosseum mode for this DLC, and indeed we did. What we have been shown is interesting, because the boss/bosses we were shown might imply that there is an uptick in difficulty which I actually hope we get.

If that is the case then this DLC might be quite hard, and the Colosseum segment even harder.

TRAILER DETAIL #5: This random sign I thought was interesting

While this trailer plays, we are shown a new sign which I had to decode for myself. The main text spells out "TWINKLING STAR SHOWERS" however I couldn't figure out what the small text says on the top as it is too small for me to translate. This could be used for theory stuff later on, as it obviously references the DLC itself.

TRAILER DETAIL #6: THE VOLCANO/ COMET???????

This trailer has made my faith in the comet itself being Galacta waver a little, however I still have faith in the fact he is involved with this somehow. This part of the post is when I will start creating ideas/theories for those who wanted to see.

So we get some pretty close reveals to the comet itself in white a few ways, which makes me wonder if we will slowly undo the comet in phases with the starries or if it's just one solid cutscene.

Also having a closer look at this island, we can say this cutscene (v) we were shown in the first trailer is on this island.

The comet in itself is quite large and when it is broken open we see a closer image of the thing we've been shown before:

Now there's a few things that are interesting about this. For one, my first though when seeing a close up view of this crystal is that the inside looked a lot like Fecto Elflis' larva form, so I lined the two up and they don't fit perfectly, though do share a detail or two. Something else I noticed is that the thing inside is also the thing outside, as in the inside crystal bit turns into the dark tendrils on the outside wrapping it up, again like what Eliflis does with their ears.

Now I personally don't believe this is Elfilis. They already came back from the dead like twice and are now fused again with Elflin. If this is something that is of similar species to Elfilis that would be more believable. Though the only reason Elflilis was split in half and achieved that larval form was because of the scientists messing with it to use its abilities. So if this is another larval form idk what could of caused this to happen. This might be a red herring to something else. The one thing I'm hopping this isn't is a different dimension or universe Elfilis, that would just be very boring and the worst option for a final boss in my opinion.

This has thrown me off though, so I'm now wondering, is this another species of Elf? What if one of them was a hero of yore? And ended up getting sealed away as well? And if this isn't Galacta, I'm now wondering even more if the starries are Galacta's soul, split into a hivemind. I don't think this would be exactly uncreatively repetitive from the post-game actually. I think rather this is would a kind of clever repitition, as we have now realized that a soul can be split and scattered during possession. What if Void possessed Galacta, and his soul was kicked out his body, spread out around the universe and those became starries? Gala, still sentient to an extent, realized he still had a job to do, and why the starries still have abilities to seal away evil like Gala did with Void. So the thing we've been fighting for so long, is actually just Gala's corpse being puppeted by some piece of Void that remains inside of him, and that's why he was sealed away. Gala can't go back to his body, that's not likely, but he can still he here in the world and do what he needs to.

We also get to see us getting moved into the sky by the volcano, where we likely fight the final boss/ final phase of the boss, which is interesting. I don't have much to say though this reflects a few other boss fights/ levels we have seen in past games.

...So, what about the actual important members of the beast pack? Will they be crystalized? I hope not. I hope that it's a red herring, and the bosses we get are similar to the strange onces we see in all the trailers. Bosses created from the memories of whatever is sealed away. Plus maybe Meta knight, who I hope is crystalized and looks like Galacta knight as a result. Then we'd get both gays controlled in one game. At least that's my ideas for now, if more leaks or trailers surface I will be covering them until the DLC itself comes out, then I will probably make a post reflecting on my theories and ideas here. Forgotten Land DLC thoughts, theories, and hopes

While Kirby Air Riders is an addition I am happy to see pop up in the future, someone who loves story and a certain someone I am actually more excited for the DLC over the air ride sequel believe it or not. And man, do I have a LOT of things to point out and "theorize" what this DLC might be.

⬇️ Rambling below! ⬇️

First of all, the suspiciously jamba-heart-shaped comet which is covered in blue crystals and is pink/purple in the core.

I can maybe see either a purple crystal that has carvings or damage of some sort and light is reflecting off these impurities OR it's something and that weird round bumpiness are wings of some kind? Which is why there's lighting and depth on the "figure". Though it's hard to see and it's a very uneducated guess.

Another detail! The bits of crystal that break apart from the comet and go everywhere has been seen in a few games!

I believe the bits and pieces of comet that break off are the same as the weird crystal fellas we see in Kirby clash and Return to Dreamland in "another dimension". I wonder if somehow that comet had been floating around in the other dimension for so long those weird crystals grew over it and created an extra coating of some kind.

Moving on, it's interesting that these "potential another dimension" crystals are infecting the world around it, though something I find interesting is how the coins change in shape to a different stereotypical star shape. Keep that in the back of your noggin for now.

Moving on again through the video...we see...something?

The area is called Fallen-star volcano, and looks like is contains a pink/purple core surrounded by a orb on red an them dead, fingerlike shapes wrap around it. Not entirely sure what to think of this, though the core is a hot topic of interest to me in my brain.

Next! Now this is where my eyebrows started to shoot up a bit. A new little guy, who seems to be encased in some crystal. He looks vaguely kirby enemy-like, typical design, though the colors, little wings, and shape on their face interests me for reasons I'll go into later.

Also, a potential new waddle dee??? He seems to be an astronomer or hell, maybe they research the other dimensions or the ancients. It would be amusing if this is bandee in new gear, though.

Next up, HMMMMMM THIS LOOKS FAMILIAR

This fella is covered in crystal, likely protected with horns and a mask(?) shape that really made me go "oh shit?" Something else to point out, when kirby defeats this fella, you can see their body and eye more clearly. The egg shaped body is also interesting to me but that could be a reach.

Nothing else seemed to catch my eye in the video we got after this, but I definitely have a handful of theories and hopes, so let's move onto that!

THEORY ONE: COMING BACK TO THE FORGOTTEN LAND

One idea I have is that maybe somehow those who left the forgotten land have been elevated to "another dimension" and one of these beings has crash landed back to the land they once left, now infecting the land around it. There's no proof for this one, but I kinda just had the idea in my brain when typing this out.

THEORY TWO: SOMEHOW, VOID TERMINA RETURNED

This theory has more grounds to be true, with the idea that Void Termina has suddenly become reincarnated and is flung back to land in a jamba heart-like crystal. The "another dimension" crystals are spreading and creating new living things as Void termina's new form awaits someone to wake it from its slumber.

THEORY THREE: PLEASE BE GALA PLEASE BE GALA

I REALLY want this to be true, I do. And I actually have a entire story decked out here for y'all. What if...Galacta's death in Star Allies was a red herring this whole time. What if every time we've seen him it's only the version of him in that dimension/universe? And in every universe, every dimension, Galacta knight is doomed to that crystal imprisonment. However, in our mainline timeline, our version of Galacta knight has been hanging around another dimension's very bottom, collecting crystals and becoming a huge comet that looks exactly like the thing Galacta knight helped seal away all those years ago. Now, he was the one who had been sealed and could never be free from it again.

This comet, one day becomes big and powerful enough to move out of the other dimension, and fall right into the Forgotten Land. This giant comet, holding the greatest warrior, falls into the sea and creates its own island where his body is kept. The crystals spread and infect everything, even giving creatures an appearance similar to him. Hell, maybe the little blue guy we see (which has bee confirmed to work like waddle dees) either helps up undo the crystals, maybe freeing Gala and undoing the crystal takeover of the land. Or maybe it's like a Leon's soul thing? Maybe these guys are parts of Galacta's soul or sanity you need to collect and return to him???

Something about them is interesting though, they have the same star shape as Galacta's mask does and what we see other enemies have as well as the coins we see in the game. They also have wings that look like they're meant to resemble bird wings. These could have a connection to Elfilin as well. But back on course to Gala. What if the pink/purple we see in the grainy image is either him or his crystal prison? And once he is freed it is revealed that his hatred, fear, and contempt have become a living thing possessing him and practically being responsible for the chaos that was happening. Maybe, this main line universe of Galacta is the one who gets the happy ending, and gets to be apart of Kirby's group or just gets to live happily in the forgotten land. Also something something tons of lore dumps as we go. But I'm desperate for Gala content he's my second fav kirby character and I NEED more of him and this trailer really tipped me off to "Galacta like patterns". If any new videos or info drops I'll be on it but this is my hopeful ramblings for now. Art coming soon! I really wanna draw these little guys.
