Pizza of the past!

Pizza Brain the pizza culture museum and pizzeria is still alive in my heart. Nobody can take the tasty and sweet memories of delicious pizza and quirky digs paired with Little Babies ice cream and so many hangs with good company.

If I ever travel back in time a visit to pizza brain is on top of the list of places I’d like to revisit.

making some time for friends 🖤 we saw the painting by Chełmoński at the national museum and it was one of favorite exhibits ever. we also got pizza and alcohol free drink ✨

I need to squeeze in some good academic work tomorrow because after that we fly to Barcelona. I gotta do some statistics and correct the research paper again. I wanna be done with it so bad

can't wait to see some sun 🌞

I had the amazing opportunity to visit Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum and see some of the original Pizza Time Players animatronics! These were so amazing to see in person, especially Broadway Helen!!! More photos will come soon :]

oh my god ok i have to say this bc i have to get this out of my system but ben katzman used to be in this local boston band called free pizza. he's wearing a shirt of theirs in that pic but i didn't notice so i googled him being like haha wouldn't that be funny if that was the same ben katzman whose house i would go to basement shows at in 2015 and sure enough it IS HIM. free pizza was one of my favourite local bands for years n then suddenly they all moved to germany ? i think one of the band members had family there or something ? and i never saw any of them again and it's really wild to me to see that one of them is on survivor now lmfAO

BROOOOO??? what the fuck!!! that's so cool and so fucking punk rock... he's been such a fun player to watch on this season and he seems like such a cool person. he and another player got into a song naming competition, him with metallica and the other player with taylor swift songs. they got to about 117 songs before ben had to tap out. it was one of the most deranged things i've ever seen.

sometimes it makes me squirm with how small the world is, but this feels nice and cozy!

Vendredi 8 mars : j’ai regardé avec joie les vidéos des manifs féministes en France, en réalisant au fur et à mesure que ça allait être moins la folie ici.

Et il m’a fallu un peu de motivation parce qu’il pleuvait des cordes à Chicago. J’ai foncé au musée de l’architecture histoire d’avoir quelques infos en plus sur cette ville. Maintenant que presque tout est bétonné, le projet est de mettre le plus de verdure partout. Et j’ai vu le projet de réhabilitation de la tour Montparnasse pour la verdire également !

J’ai pris le bus, avec la ficelle le long de la fenêtre sur toute la longueur du bus pour demander l’arrêt :-) pour aller au musée de l’histoire de Chicago.

Ça ne parlait pas des Irlandais mais plutôt des polonais arrivés à Chicago dans les années 1830, pendant la guerre avec la Russie (toujours les mêmes …). Même si certains sont repartis vivre en Pologne, d’autres sont arrivés à chaque nouveau conflit international. Tout ça ressemble à la population dans The Wire 🧐

J’ai rejoins un rassemblement contre une fausse clinique qui va bientôt ouvrir à Chicago. Le genre de clinique qui n’a aucune certification médical mais qui reçoit des femmes et donne son point de vue sur l’avortement par exemple, sans pouvoir prodiguer plus d’aide. Les panneaux sont un peu confus mais j’étais bien avec des pro-choix donc des gens qui soutiennent le droit à l’avortement, à l’accès aux soins pour toustes… Il y a une marche dimanche après midi, j’espère y trouver un peu de l’énergie que jamais vu dans les vidéos françaises !!!

Les vitrines des plombiers français n’ont qu’à bien se tenir ^^, c’était juste à côté de la pizzeria où j’ai dîné avec Kara, une couchsurfeuse. On est allé dans un bar a jeux d’arcades avant d’assister à un show de speed-théâtre-semi-impro-queer (je ne sais pas quoi dire d’autre) plutôt fun!
