Hiiii! I heard about your RAE/CEC/WP5 Au and I am OBSESSED! I am just wondering if you have any more WP5 info, like the Wolfman's relationship with his wife and son, and just the lore in general!

Okay it’s all below the cut warning it’s a LOT

General note this all takes place around 1950/1960

Wolfman (jack dewolfe) has a SUPER dysfunctional relationship with his family even before and after wolfpacks tour he was never home, he would just send money and if you were lucky call. He didn’t want to be a family man or a father, his marriage was caused by teenage stupidity and a shitty Cadillac (ie Rolfe’s conception caused his parents to get married)

This puts his long standing dreams of a music career on hold, and caused a lot of resentment towards both his wife and son.

His wife is Delilah (wolfman) dewolf she’s done her best to be the best wife she can be because she thinks that that’s going to make her feel “normal”. She’s kind of petty and immature but by far a better person than jack. She dislikes most of the band they’re “rowdy” and one of them smells like pot all the time (beach bear ofc) she absolutely detests queenie bc she thinks she’s a husband stealing harlot (that is NOT happening at all as the creator I can confirm)

Which is BAD if it was happening and she wouldn’t have called someone and gotten mad at queenie (who is a TEENAGER)

(Side note I wanna talk about queenie cause I love how angsty I made this all, so her and Mitzi are supposed to sort of foil each other in how they were treated as child performers, I want to highlight the lack of protections queenie had in the 60’s not that anything ever did happen to her but it COULD have and that’s just as important and that sort of motivates her to make sure Mitzi is protected)

Delilah and jack do not get along, which is to be excepted when you consider the foundation for their marriage. He’s not around Rolfe enough to have a real relationship with him, sometimes he likes the praise and awe rolfe gives him but most of the time he chastises and mocks Rolfe for his puppets and less than masculine interests (I think he was some inspiration for earl)

Rolfe on the other hand idolizes his father, and has reinterpreted him as an awesome on the road rock n roll star.

There’s a lot more lore but it is a lot and not all of it has been discussed with my queen and overlord @clairyclue so idk if I wanna share it

There’s sort of a different vibe for every band in this universe at least to me, like pizza time theater is a noir/soap opera, rocks fire is a sitcom/teen 80’s movie and Wolfpack is like a documentary on a band falling apart

30 years after the band Splits up, Rolfe ends up having to work at a Hot Topic. This is because WHY NOT! I honestly didn't know where to have him work. I THOUGHT about having him work at a Chuck E Cheese for the Irony, but I decided against it. In the original form of this, he was gonna work at a generic diner.

I just thought of a movie idea about The RockAFire Explosion having to get back together

It's inspired by the Muppets (2011) and Rolfe Dewolfe is the Protagonist. It's live action but the band is animated in 2D, Who Framed Roger Rabbit Style.

So basically, 30+ years after Concept Unification, everyone's Sorta Moved on with their lives, but then something happens, prompting a need for the band to reunite.

I love this headcanon

I got an ask abt Concept Unfiication angst and while I might eventually do more angsty stuff about the topic, it got me thinking more about how CU would factor into my rae canon sooooo

I HC that after showbiz yanked Rae shows out of their stores, that was the boot for the members of the band; they all got fired and replaced with the “younger, hipper, and cheaper (since less band members)” mmbb, as showbiz corporate told them. Disheartened, everyone was ready to move on with their lives until Rolfe decided he would take it upon himself to thrust the rae name back into the spotlight. Showbiz be dammed, they were gonna make a new name for themselves under the aptly fitting “new” rock afire explosion band

However, he was pretty much the only rae band member who wanted to keep the rae name alive. Everyone else just went along because they had nothing better to do, and what the heck, it might get them some of that sweet fame that they once had

Buuuuuut we all know how nrae turned out irl, no one wanted it and it stopped pretty quickly. This happens here, too, no one wants to hire nrae to perform or do anything anymore, so what little motivation the band members had to keep the brand alive died off pretty fast.

Except, of course, for Rolfe, who wanted to keep going. If they just kept pushing, he said, they’d be back in the public eye before they knew it! And they wouldn’t be stuck eating bread crusts for lunch everyday while living off of the crumbs of their old left over paychecks

Naturally, no one else was on board, and they sure let him know it

And almost as quickly as it started, nrae was over, much to Rolfe’s dismay.

the reason wolfpack fell apart is because wolfman, a conman whi hadn’t been paying his performers and a drunkard who’d verbally berate them, left in the middle of the night and just never came back.

this wasnt great, considering WP5 was a touring band, leaving two teenagers stranded in a state they were unfamiliar with (beach bear and queenie), as well as his wife and son at home.

(btw before i start the yap sesh a LOT of this lore was created by @ragsandrascals i’m just the only one who posted bout it)

i know i didn’t talk a lot about rock a fire so here’s how WP5 sort of led to that band forming:

fatz joined as a young adult and it completely consumed his formative years, burning him out in a way and giving him no chance of actually making it in the industry after the band fell apart. he becomes a music teacher in LA, then auditioning for RAE when klunk sends out an audition call for performers in the area to work at his new pizza place

beach bear came from uppity rich parents who let him do whatever he wanted, so he’d smoke his nerves away at far too young in the back of fatz car. he gets into some rough times after the band, but then sort of mellows out as a young adult living in his parents beachfront home in LA

queenie- oh, queenie. gloria would do a better job explaining this than me but i’ll try. she was wolfman’s obsession, because he thought of her as a sort of star, a prodigy. he’d get drunk and tell her he admired her and wished he was as good as her, like the sort of pathetic little man he is. there was a point she wasn’t allowed to talk to anyone else because it would “ruin her mysterious image.”

anyway, those three (queenie supervising mitzi because she didn’t want her to become what she had been) formed rock a fire with the other members.

wolfman shows up only once, to colander night (which is when they said a fuck you to chuck’s scripts and hijacked the performance) and nearly has his spine ripped out by fatz.

anyway. i’m tired. i hope this makes sense.

something like that, maybe. i do know fatz, queenie, and rolfe had some words with him. dingo would except he’s said maybe 2 sentences in their prescience in a decade.

also i answered that way early this morning and didn’t even read the part about dingo! we don’t really hear from him, he was in the area for colander night as well so he gives fatz and everyone his regards, but he’s sort of a loner. he does his own thing.

colander night however was a lot of great chaos. it was all premeditated, so all the members of rock a fire knew what was gonna go down.

chuck wasnt happy, he tried snatching the hijacked mics away and ended up face planting. jasper and pasqually play along, pasqually even passes our colanders from the kitchen.

a lot of people show up, foxie colleen, maisy and crusty and their kids, queenie and barbara stringband, dingo.

i think their set list was that from rock a fire live that first night, but for later shows (there were only a few before the bands stopped the merge) they did the actual show from showbiz and queenie held up the history signs.

colander night was their rebellion, their way of revolting against chuck’s oppressive management. i have a whole piece written on it, the events and everything, i’ll go back and look over it to see if i want to post.
