Note: I am updating this^^ OG post from 2021 with updated information about our upcoming eclipse cycle (September-October 2025).

We are fast approaching eclipse season and I am already beginning to see the warnings show up across the witch universe. I assume that people who warn others against doing magic during the lunar and solar eclipses mean well but as a longtime astrologer AND witch, I would like to kindly disagree. Eclipse energy can seem unpredictable but also follows some very specific rules (like all lunar energy). If you know and understand these rules, you can get back to doing your normal lunar magic in no time.

To understand how to work with the lunar energy of eclipses, you simply have to combine a basic knowledge of all lunar magic cycles and some basic astrology about the lunar nodes. Don’t worry – I’ll walk you through it.

To start with, lunar energy is quite simple and well understood in the witchcraft community. The old saying “Wax on/Wane off” can be applied to her. When the moon is waxing (from the point of the new moon through the hours before the full moon), it is well aligned to cast spells where you are bringing something towards you and when the moon is waning (from the point of the full moon to the house before the new moon), it is best to cast magic where you are pushing or removing something away from you. This can be simplified as we make wishes or set intentions for growth and forward motion with the new moon and remove and banish with the full moon.

Now we add in our astrology. All eclipses are just supercharged new or full moons where the lunar event falls into alignment with the lunar nodes. The lunar nodes aren’t objects in the sky, they are imaginary points – actual representations of the places in the sky where the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth could fall into a line with one another. This line is oppositional, in the sense that it has a North Node and a South Node which are always found within opposite signs in the natal horoscope chart.

Eclipses always come in pairs*. A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth passes in between the Sun and the Moon and a solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. This always happens on the full moon and new moon, respectively. Because this happens near the lunar nodes, these cosmic events always include a conjunction between the Moon and either the North Node or the South Node.

This is where the complexity of eclipse magic comes into play.

Again – let’s simplify. The north and south nodes are a set of points that travels around the horoscope wheel. Energetically, they represent the tension point between where we’ve been (the South node) and where we are going (the North Node). In order to understand the energies of an upcoming eclipse, you must combine the energy of the lunar event (wax on for new moon/wax off for full moon) with the energies of whichever of the two nodes the moon will be conjunct at that time.

There are three possible options: new/new, old/old, and new/old.

I want to use the two upcoming eclipses to illustrate my point. On Tuesday, 9/17, we will experience a lunar eclipse (an eclipsed full moon) at 25° Pisces. Right now, our North Node is sitting at 06° Aries, and our South Node at 06° Libra; from this we can see that our lunar eclipse will be (widely) conjunct to the North Node. Therefore, we combine the energy of the full moon (old/waning) with the energy of the North Node (new/where we are going).

Likewise, our solar eclipse (eclipsed new moon) will occur at 10° Libra on Wednesday, 10/2. So we combine a new moon's waxing/new energy with the waning/where we’ve been energy of the South Node.

In both cases, these two lunar events will have both the energy of release and the energy of new beginnings at the same time. This is, I believe, the signature that has led many a witch to call eclipse energy “unpredictable” because if you are not accounting for both the push energy of the new and the pull energy of the old, you could easily get caught in a weird magic sandwich somewhere in the middle. We’re not those people though – we are empowered, well-informed witches!

The best way to harness eclipse energy, then, is to make sure that you have accounted both for the lunar energy and the nodal energy within your spell. See also: banishing an old love to make space for the new, or doing a ritual to remove something that is holding you back from pursuing your current goals. Just makes sure that you are working on both the bringing in and the letting go. You could include double action candles to represent both the push and the pull or have a part of the ritual dedicated to each aspect. That part is all you.

In this way, I believe that eclipses may be the best days of the year to perform big magic workings because, it seems to me, that all great endeavors involve both sides of the energetic coin in some fashion or another.

Sidereal Aries Moon: Your mother may have been unable to protect herself growing up. Learning to temper between where your mother didn’t speak out at all vs knowing when to call something out is a skill to master.

Sidereal Taurus Moon have come from a mother that didn’t stick to what was right for her. There is a way of having standards that doesn’t sacrifice the overall, longterm goal. But settling for next best means knowing that that is not a final destination.

Sidereal Leo Moon: You may have a mother who wasn’t confident in herself. Her want to appease others may led to the protection of you being more independent and self sufficient. You’ll have to learn that even tho you stand alone, a lot of people benefit from what you do and show appreciation through how you inspire them.

Sidereal Libra Moon and the want to maintain peace because the mother had no control over her problems. Sometimes you’ll have to learn that you’re not going to be agreeable and digestible to everyone.

Sidereal Scorpio Moon: The mother may have made movements that caused her to lose out on a lot. She told everyone her business. You may have to learn how to trust in this lifetime, and know who to trust.

Sidereal Sagittarius/Pisces Moon children may have grown up with a mom that had the brains, but not necessarily the experience necessary to move things forward like she wanted to.

For Sag Moon: Make sure you’re digesting everything before you make a move. Not everything is going to be worth the time you spent on it.

For Pisces Moon: You will sometimes have to ask yourself “why am I doing this” and use those actions towards digging yourself out of a hole and getting back on track.

November 2023 Important Dates

AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's November Forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock. Recap of last month is extensive and has been moved to the end of the post.

We're going into this month right off the back of a lunar eclipse, which astrologically sets the tone for November.

October 28th Lunar eclipse:

The Moon at 05Taurus opposes Jupiter at 05Scorpio, while Mercury (10♏) is conjunct Mars (11♏), opposing Jupiter (11♉). This is the last of a series of eclipses on the Taurus/Scorpio axis over the past 2 years. Thus this signals the culmination of a series of events and end of a chapter in people's lives. Austin describes it as an epilogue--one last thing that modifies what came after it--as the nodes have already moved on to Aries/Libra. Chris brings up how Taurus lunar eclipses have coincided with high-profile cryptocurrency crashes (Lunacoin in 2021, FTX last year), and Austin points out the FTX CEO's upcoming trial and sentencing. Taurus signifies both currency and food; the spike in cost of basic necessities worldwide is part of this story. Eclipses are the end of one era and the beginning of another: "the king is dead, long live the new king!" This has played out literally with UK monarchs in the 20th century. The Scorpio-Taurus eclipses have also occurred with increased labor actions. We'd like to think Jupiter's presence on this eclipse is an ameliorating factor, but the December 2019 eclipse "ruined" Jupiter's chances of helping us (Austin's words), so don't count on it.

Mars opposite Jupiter is tension between war and peace, both in our personal lives and world events generally. Even when these planets work together, Jupiter enables Mars's combativeness. Formicus writes in that in martial pursuits, Mars aspecting Jupiter indicates full legal and social support for aggression.

November 4th - Saturn stations Direct in Pisces This will intensify Saturn's significations in Pisces. Saturn entered Pisces earlier this year with nautical disasters, and with Mars in a water sign as well Austin advises us to keep our eyes on the seas. Saturn in Pisces also connotes poisons in the water and sources of water drying up. If there is water, it's not of the right type or amount for sustaining life. In nativities, this station signals the final Saturn return for those born under Saturn in late degrees of Aquarius (Chris suggests an orb of 3°).

Just before Saturn stations, Venus opposes Neptune on the 3rd; soon after Mercury opposes Uranus, with Venus trining Pluto on the 6th. Venus may want to bring us peace, but Neptune's tendency to dissolve boundaries bodes ill for human beings. Mercury-Uranus keywords include disrupted communication and jarring messages. This all happens after Jupiter in Taurus opposes the Sun in Scorpio on the 2nd, shining a light on a lack of basic necessities.

November 8th - Venus enters Libra The Moon enters Libra soon after Venus, activating the ingress and bringing us a good day in the bad week. Domicile Venus will have the strength to help balance us. After Mars's trampled through the Scales, she can help us balance and cool off, especially with the South Node copresent. She sextiles Mercury around the 15th as well, easing communication and bringing harmony to previously polarized talks.

November 10th - Mercury enters Sagittarius Though he initially confronts Saturn, Mercury approaches a sextile to Venus, definitively ending his copresence with Mars. Though Mercury is in detriment, he's optimistic, especially in the first decan of Sagittarius, which he rules. Mercury runs into a barrier wall with Saturn, his optimism immediately quashed, but after changing direction is able to bring some small victories. While the greater structure must be endured, we can do a few things to make the situation better.

November 11th - Mars opposite Uranus The Sun opposes Uranus around the same time, with the Moon following soon after.

November 13th - New Moon in Scorpio

Usually we expect relief with the first New Moon after an eclipse, but with a Sun-Moon-Mars conjunction opposite Uranus, things are gonna be intense. Mars-Uranus is an especially explosive contact, and an opposition is the most tense aspect. Calls for freedom are intense and combative. However, once the faster planets pass this Uranus opposition, we'll have seen the last unexpected stick of dynamite. The upcoming Mars-Sun conjunction is far from calm, but it is expected.

November 18th - Sun conjunct Mars in Scorpio (cazimi) This happens opposite Uranus, trine Neptune, and sextile Pluto. As with other planets, this is a renewal of Mars's 2-year cycle, resetting the paradigm for Mars matters. Mars has his domicile in Scorpio, bringing intense tenacity, even if we may not want it. Distressingly, Chris has found this aspect to historically coincide with shootings and bombings. Austin has identified engineering developments, water-based natural disasters, and setting a new direction/paradigm in ongoing conflicts (though not new wars starting).

Mars cazimis in Scorpio don't happen that often; this is the first one in 32 years (the preceding was 32 years before the most recent, and the next one out was ~60 years before its successor). Hot-headedness, special forces (especially in Scorpio), and ambition or daring are some keywords. To quote a song by Sun-Mars conjunction native Nelly, "it's getting hot in here, so"...put on your blast-proof gear. Other Sun-Mars natives include Jonas Salk, inventor of the polio vaccine, politician Robert F. Kennedy, and controversial investigative journalist Nancy Grace. This is a very powerful reset with Mars in domicile, and in a fixed sign. It has the most staying power and determination.

November 22nd/23rd - Sun enters Sagittarius

November 23rd/24th - Mars enters Sagittarius Soon after he squares Saturn. He's also under the beams of the Sun (invisible) from the cazimi well into December, and takes longer than any other planet to emerge from beneath the rays. Thus the meanings of Mars's journey through the underworld won't be apparent all at once.

November 25th - Mars square Saturn Something that normally happens quickly hits a wall and has to slow down suddenly--this aspect aligned with COVID lockdowns and the discoveries of new variants. The theme of this month: there will be some initial attempts to speed ahead, but we'll run into insurmountable obstacles we have to accept. Mars square Saturn is still fully operative when we encounter our next lunation of the month.

November 27th - Full Moon in Gemini

Still close to the Sun, Mars (02♐) opposes the Moon (04♊), forming a T-square with Saturn (00♓). Additionally, the Moon's ruler Mercury (24♐) squares Neptune (24♓) exactly, bringing muddled communication or even outright deception. Thus Mercury, the Moon's ruler, is not much help to her. Neptune doesn't bring hostility and bad news to Mercury like Mars did, but makes it difficult to see clearly. Think of a goldfish's (purportedly) short memory. Full Moon in Gemini wants to go fast, but Mercury-Neptune confuses the direction. Overall this is a rather difficult lunation.

November 30th - Auspicious election for the month (not pictured)

Around 1-2AM local time, with the Ascendant around 6° of Libra, giving you Venus in the first house in a night chart (a very potent place for her). Note that the South Node is conjunct Venus (though Spica nearby affirms our aspirations). The Moon is domicile in Cancer in the 10th house, separating from a sextile to Jupiter (07♉) and applying to a square with Venus (24♎). This gives us two very strong rulers in the first and tenth houses, good for aesthetic situations and public image. With Saturn in the 6th house, it's not recommended for matters involving people you employ or matters of illness. This election takes advantage of our domicile benefic Venus, and is at the end of the month to give as much distance as we can from the difficult Mars & outer planet configurations.

October Recap: There were 4 major earthquakes in Afghanistan, 2 of which coincided with the Mars-Pluto square on Oct. 7th, and the next two on the 11th and 15th clustered around the solar eclipse in Libra; the WHO estimates 100,000 people need humanitarian aid.

In the US, a shop that offered Tarot readings in Pennsylvania was threatened by police, citing anti-fortune-telling laws. There are quite a few similar laws still on the books across the country that are rarely enforced...until they are. 20 years ago, metaphysical bookshops were being raided by police, with their lawyers citing freedom of speech and religion to exonerate them. As Saturn approaches Neptune in Pisces and Neptune prepares to exit the sign, we can expect a backlash against astrology. No rising tide lasts forever; what's it going to look like when this tide breaks? Austin advises viewers to be careful how they represent the craft and not to take for granted that we can talk openly about it right now. Chris urges astrology organizations to prepare for litigation and pushback from skeptics and religious crowds alike.

The Pluto, Mars, and South Node activity last month heralded difficulty or conflict, which we've seen most prominently with the warfare in Palestine and Israel. Eclipses feature heavily in this history. The timing of recent major events has aligned strongly with the Mars & Pluto movements: Mars squared Pluto exactly on the 7th-9th, Pluto stationed on the 10th, Mars entered Scorpio on the 12th, and there was a solar eclipse in Libra on the 14th. (A/N: After this episode was recorded, the second (lunar) eclipse occurred today, October 28th, with the blackout and ground invasion in Gaza). Our hosts had stayed metaphorical last month in predicting asymmetric conflicts or excessive strength with Mars-Pluto last month, and in Indian astrology Mars-Ketu (SN) conjunctions indicate one who acts as if possessed by rage, which is how even supporters have characterized Netanyahu's actions.

Going into more detail on this:

The chart of Israel's founding has 25 Libra rising, the degree Mars was transiting on the 7th when Hamas launched their surprise attack; Mars was also square the Midheaven, while Pluto was directly on the IC and thus opposing the MC, all of which was activated by the Moon's transit on Oct. 7th--the Moon triggers that which is waiting to happen. Venus was also at 28Leo, the degree at which she stationed this summer, conjunct Israel's Mars. Eclipses like the pair in October have always coincided with defining new borders for Israel, which was founded shortly after a Taurus solar eclipse (same as today's, Oct. 28th). Israeli PM Netanyahu was born under a total solar eclipse in Libra as well. If we take December 10, 1987 as the founding date for Hamas, whose military arm led the October 7th attack, it was founded under a Pluto-Mars conjunction in Scorpio and a Saturn-Uranus conjunction (orb 1°) in Sagittarius.

More generally, many nations founded soon after WWII with Saturn in Leo (malefic in a sign of ruling or sovereignty) have had major disputes over where the border lines have been drawn. 2025 brings a Uranus return for both Israel and the US, close allies.

Chris was also looking at the astrology of different peace attempts, and found that while the Oslo accords were discussed under Saturn in Aquarius, the Peace Prize for it was given out during Saturn in Pisces, (where Saturn is now) with rx Venus conjunct Jupiter & the North Node (a nodal opposition to Israel's founding chart). However, Rabin (Israel's PM who signed the accords) was assassinated during an eclipse the following year. Eclipses occur in the same sign every 19 years, and in 2004 Israel began invading and settling northern Gaza. With the advent of smartphones and Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions moving from earth to air signs (200-year cycle), there may be some small hope that the fighting won't be as prolonged and ugly as it has been in the past. Unfortunately, November's astrology does not bode well for peace.

More on the Moon triggering configurations into action: aside from Oct. 7th, when her opposition to Pluto/square to Mars triggered that configuration with the initial Hamas attack, during the hospital bombing on the 28th she squared Saturn from 28Scorpio. More positively, on the 20th Hamas released two hostages when the Moon (♑) approached a grand trine with Venus (11-12♍) and Jupiter (12♉), and Israel let in 20 aid trucks on the 21st when this aspect went exact. Positive aspects in the midst of difficult configurations indicate a glimmer of hope.

Lunar Partial Eclipse in Taurus 

On Saturday, October 28th @ 1:24 AM there will be a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. This will be the last eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio axis till 2031!! We are finishing up a cycle that began in November 2021. Think about where you were, what you were doing, and how did you feel during that first set of eclipses? 

This eclipse will be happening @ 5° of Taurus. Check your chart for where Taurus sits to give you insight to the area this eclipse will be impacting you. Unlike the Annular Solar Eclipse we had on Oct 14, this Lunar Partial will be a Full Moon, so the same Full Moon energies are on a larger magnitude. Endings. What are you letting go? What lessons have you learned in the past two years that you can incorporate to help you grow? 

With a Lunar eclipse this means the Sun is opposite the Moon. Sun in Scorpio is opp Moon in Taurus @ 5°. How are you balancing what you say/need on the surface level with what your subconscious think about or may obsess with? For example, are you searching for material possessions (Taurus) because you obsess over (Scorpio) lacking or not having security/stability? This also happening at 5° (Leo degree), which may bring up feelings and conversations about your father/male or an authority figure in your life. Check in with you heart, literally. Think heart health. Do you need to go to the doctor? Are you worried about your health?

This eclipse is happening in the 3H in this forecast, so what communication/conversation (3H=gemini) will you be having? The Sun (self) will be in the 9H, so your mindset and outlook (philosophy) may change six months from now. Depending on where this eclipse sits, you may be thinking about going back to school (higher education). Some of you maybe moving or doing some long distance travel (9H=sagittarius). Others may be beginning their spiritual journey (9H=Jupiter). Again, this will also depend on where this eclipse sits in your chart. The chart for this transit is a snapshot.

People in the spotlight, celebrities, monarchies, and politicians may fall from grace. Full Moons are still about illuminating, and although the moon is moving into Earth’s shadow, it is highlighting what is behind the surface. Highlighting, what is hiding literally in the shadows. Especially with this eclipse happening in 5°, more news may come out heads of countries. Someone may die and it may bring suppressed information to light.

On this day, we also have Neptune in Pisces @ 25° semi-square to Jupiter in Taurus @ 11°. How can you turn your dreams into reality? What actions do you need to set into motion? Semi-squares are about internal frustration or conflict. What is stirring inside you that you need to change? The Neptune in Pisces @ 25° is signaling a new beginning, new step being taken (25°=Aries=Cardinal degree). The expansive Jupiter in Taurus at 11° is letting us know you may be taking an unorthodox way of achieving your dreams. Neptune and Jupiter co-rule Pisces, which is in the 2H for this transits chart. Cash flow (income) may change following this transits. Maybe you are purging material possessions, and letting go of old habits, to reprioritize what you truly desire. This might be a highly emotional time.

Mercury @ 10° and Mars @ 11° will form a conjunction in Scorpio. This eclipse will be an ideal time to journal and think about whatever is on your mind. Are you thinking about work? Relationships? Energy Update: June 2023

June is a "4" Universal Month [6 (June) + 7 (2023) = 13 = 1+3 = 4] in a "7" Universal Year. The number 4 is considered stable or stabilizing and months that carry 4 energy are much the same. Where in your life do you need to slow down to make sure the pieces are fitting right? We are coming out of a rough two months that involved two intense eclipses that overlapped with Mercury's second retrograde of the year. Things got stirred up. June is the month to let the dust settle and get back to it, whatever "it" is for you.

The Set Up

We begin the month of June with the Sun in Gemini, Mercury playing catch-up in Taurus, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Leo, Jupiter Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. By month's end, the Sun will have entered Cancer, Mercury will have moved through Gemini and on to Cancer to join the Sun, Venus will have entered Leo, and retrograded Pluto will have re-entered Capricorn from the back-end. Additionally, Saturn and Neptune will station retrograde this month, and Venus will enter her pre-retrograde shadow period. That's a lot of change for a month where we are supposed to pick up the pieces, but it's where we are. All we can do is live in it.

The Nitty Gritty

We come into June under the energy of the waxing moon that will peak on 6/3 or 6/4 depending on your timezone. The full moon in Sagittarius is traditionally a time for excitement and newness, as is represented by Sagittarius's ruler, Jupiter. This year will be no exception as this will be further augmented by Venus in Cancer's watery trine with Neptune in Pisces (a sweet aspect of togetherness on 6/2) and Mercury's annual conjunct with Uranus at 20° Taurus on 6/4. This is a great time to start a new project - especially one that is creative in nature (Venus) or some sort of higher learning (Sag). If you don't know where or what to start, this is a great time to ask Mercury and Uranus for inspiration. Mercury and Uranus have a close relationship with one another and can be seen to be two sides of the same coin - Mercury awakens in the human realm, and Uranus is the awakening of the beyond.

On 6/5, Venus enters our fixed fire sign Leo where she will remain for the next three months. This is an exceptionally long time as she normally moves through a sign in two to three weeks. We are gearing up for another Venus retrograde. Venus last retrograded at the beginning of 2021 in the sign of Capricorn so we may see some of the same themes start to arise from June-October that we experienced them. Because Venus is one of the personal planets, her retrogrades are always felt deeply both by the collective and in our individual lives.

Interestingly, Venus in Leo immediately meets up in opposition with Pluto in Aquarius who has already entered their retrograde cycle. When Venus last went retrograde, she did so in direct conjunction with Pluto. This again shows this recurring theme - something about our way of drawing in and getting what we want (themes heavily ruled by Venus) needs to change. Whereas last time, while the planets were in conjunction, the change may have had to be personal - we may find that this time, with the opposition, the change needs to come from or be helped by our closest Others. Venus will not make an aspect with Pluto during her retrograde cycle, so this is something that has passed us, even if we need to momentarily revisit it.

This is likely an old ego story that needs revising. Venus and Pluto's opposition will align with our lunar nodes that are just barely hovering on the line between Taurus/Scorpio and Aries/Libra to create a fixed grand cross. This may highlight an area where you feel very stuck in your life. Even though Venus will move quickly on Pluto and the nodes will hold this as a t-square throughout the month which shows that it is an ongoing situation. If you identify the problem, great. But be aware that the energy to shift and move through it may not come until Pluto reenters Capricorn (6/11) and the nodes switch to Aries/Libra (7/17). Aries, Libra, and Capricorn are cardinal signs, after all, and cardinal signs NEED to move. Use that to your advantage when you can.

The weekend of 6/9-6/11 will likely be eventful. The sun in Gemini meets up in sextile with Chiron in Aries so we can assume our core wounds are close to the surface. Additionally, Mercury and Pluto meet up in trine with one another as they each change signs. Mercury is moving forward into its home sign of Gemini where it really likes to be. Pluto is moving backward into Capricorn, a transit that has been shaking up the old bones of our financial systems for the last 14 years. Additionally, Venus in Leo squares off with Jupiter in Taurus. This is a week to lie low if you can, or accept what comes up if you can't. Watch out for excesses, particularly excessive spending or overindulgences fueled by a hedonist Jupiter in Taurus. This would be a great weekend to do work towards ending addictive cycles as the energy of the waning moon will support you in these endeavors.

On 6/15, Mercury in Gemini squares off with Saturn in Pisces - this is our regular reminder that words have power, and with great power, comes great responsibilities. (thanks Uncle Ben) If you've been speaking out of turn, you may need to eat your words or fess up. In general, communication may just feel heavy through all of this week.

On Saturday, Saturn retrogrades at 07° Pisces. When considering Saturn, one should always remember that it is always somewhat looked at in its relationship with Jupiter. Where Jupiter expands, Saturn contracts. In this way, as our two intermediate planets, they are the inverse of one another. And when one of the two retrogrades, it takes on some of the natural energy of the other as often works with inverses. Saturn retrogrades start out like you got hit with a ton of bricks but tend to lighten considerably. When Sky Daddy Saturn's not home, all bets are off. Do you even need to follow the rules? Do you even need to do your homework? Because Jupiter is still moving in a direct motion, we've got the energy of Jupiter (expansion) now combined with the energy of retrograde Saturn (expansion/contraction) to contend with. It can be a bit unbalanced if you've sensitive to Saturnian movements.

The next day we will experience a new moon at 27° Gemini which will form a tight square with Neptune in Pisces. Gemini and Pisces have a lot in common with each other. For one thing, they are both mutable signs. They are also both twin signs - Gemini is literally the sign of the twins and Pisces is represented as two fish swimming in opposite directions. Both also like to live in a fantasy world of their own creation and have a tendency to (at times) lose track of reality - a trait that will further be enhanced by Neptune, the planet of secrets and illusions. All that glitters is almost certainly not gold during this time - in fact, it's probably a mimic and not gold at all. If it looks too good to be true, it certainly is. Save your decisions for another day and practice your very best self-care if this energy is too much for you.

Venus enters her pre-retrograde shadow the very next day at 12° Leo. Venus will retrograde at 28° Leo on 7/23 and remain in retrograde until the beginning of September, casting the second half of our summer in pallid tones. It can be really hard to find love or compassion when Venus retrogrades and this will be doubly so while Venus is in the ego-drive sun-ruled sign of Leo. This is just the warm-up, though - she needs to pass through her pre-retrograde steps first. Remember that from here on out, every aspect Venus makes will be made thrice: once in forward motion, a second time backward while in retrograde, and a third time again in forward motion. If you work astrological energy to mollify the effects of personal planet retrogrades, now is the time to start planning your strategy for this transit.

On 6/21, the Sun enters Cancer and Summer officially begins. Happy Summer Solstice! The Sun immediately meets up in sextile to our North Node in Taurus and in trine to our South Node in Scorpio. We are almost at the end of this lunar node story which may be triggering for some. Mars in Leo trines Chiron in Aries the same day which shows that old pains may lie close to the surface.

Mercury enters Cancer on 6/26 and Mars in Leo squares off with Uranus in Taurus. Mars plus Uranus is pretty intense no matter the aspect and the square creates a lot of tension - watch out! Stay away from explosives in general, including but not limited to explosive conversations. This is break-up weather - watch what you say because you may not be able to take it back. The Sun in Cancer sextiles retrograde Saturn in Pisces two days later so consequences may be swift and swampy. On 6/29, Venus in Leo trines Chiron in Aries to activate those old wounds. Try to use it to heal them rather than wallowing in the pain, if you can.

On the last day of the month, Mercury trines retrograde Saturn which is another day when consequences may be close to the forefront. Pay the piper for your mistakes if you need to. Own up to your part in things. Look at it rather than away from it.

I can see how some of you after reading this would be going: Minx, how is this a break from all of this intense astrology we've been having?

I assure you that it is. Venus is going to retrograde through the second half of the summer - make amends while you can now. This is the easiest most that we will have for a hot minute, so try to enjoy it. Okay?

Weekly Forecasts: 10/23/23

BIG week ahead for the week of October 23rd! We have a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on Saturday, Oct 28th at 1:24 PM PST. This will be the final eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio axis, closing a period that started in November 2021. Think about where you were, what you were doing, and how did you feel during that first set of eclipses?

Monday 10/23

Monday starts off with some direct tension in our relationships and emotions. Venus is Virgo @ 13° is making an sesquisquare to Pluto in Capricorn @ 27° may bring up some external conflicts. You will have to check where Virgo and Capricorn sit in your chart for tips on where the friction may come from. For example, if you have Virgo in your 6H (daily habits/routine/work) that means Capricorn is in your 10H (career & reputation). The external friction may come from your work and career. Are you finding it full-filling? Are you wanting to leave? Sesquisquares bring up annoyances that can often be easily pushed aside, but if you confront them, growth can happen. Pluto in 27° of Capricorn makes me think that a conversation will be had (27°=gemini degree). Maybe you’ll have a conversation with your siblings or even do some small distance traveling. Venus, a personal placement deals with our partnerships (romantic, personal, business). Be mindful of the conversations you start today.

The Moon in Aquarius @ 21° is squaring Uranus Rx in Taurus @ 21° may bring some pressure to work on an issue. As we get closer to the eclipse we are going to be put in positions to help bring about any necessary change the areas (houses) that will be impacted. You’re looking for some stability in change. We do have one ‘easy’ transits on this day, which is Sun in Scorpio @ 0° making a trine to Saturn in Pisces @ 0°. Think of this as iff the energies or Scorpio and Pisces being one. The Moon in Pisces @ 20° makes a sesquisquare to Mercury in Scorpio @ 5°. You may have to conversation with an authority figure dealing with deep topics or having a deep conversation. Some secrets make be uncovered, with Moon in Pisces @ 20° (Scorpio degree). Are you worried about something coming to light? Whatever is bothering you may be an accumulation of behavior.

Use of steel/iron make escalate in the coming weeks as the Sun, Mars, and Mercury move through Scorpio. Eyeing occupied Palestine and the use of weapons used by Israeli settlers. The price of steel may change as western forces demand more military aid. Additionally, as world powers try to switch to greener options, the current use of steel and iron may change.

Another transit in the sky for Wednesday is Moon sextile to Uranus in Taurus @ 21° giving opportunity for growth without the tension. Think of these energies cooperating with one another. You might be more inclined to take slightly rebellious action (Uranus) based on how you are feeling (Moon). Now, moving based on how you feel is not inherently bad or antithesis to logic. Be deliberate with your action as you will have the energy necessary to resolve issues.

As we move into Thursday we will have Mars in Scorpio @ 9° sesqisquare with Neptune in Pisces @ 25°. Your energy may be low. Neptune will sit in the 3H of intellect, siblings, and communication. The 3H is ruled by Gemini, which is ruled by Mercury. As Neptune in Pisces sits in this house new communication or new way of thinking may be establish with it being in 25° (Aries degree=cardinal). Mars @ 9° in the 10H is signaling some are breaking away or shaking up their career and reputation. Think unorthodox and unconventional. The 9° is a Sagittarius degree, the half man half horce. The horse desire to run and be free, whereas half man understands responsibilities and conformity.

An external conflict that you’d rather push to the side may rise. Sesquiquadrate highlight repeated conflicts we have yet too or refuse to address. What tension between different ideas are you having? Taking action (Mars in Scorpio) vs day dreaming (Neptune in Pisces). Face it, but be intentional. This is an opportunity for growth. You might be hyper suspicious of others and vice versa because of this transit, and with Mars being Scorpio. Pisces is a mutable sign meaning it is adaptable (fish swimming). Jupiter in Taurus @ 11° opposite to Mars in Scorpio @ 10°. Check in with your family, particular a mother or woman figure in your life. The Mars is more calculated with it being @ 10° (Capricorn degree). I like to think of Capricorn has playing the long game, they know what they want, and like to planTaurus is ruled by Venus, and in this transit, Venus is in the 9H, which is ruled by Jupiter the planet of law & religion. My first thought is ‘justice for women and children.’ Events from your childhood are coming full circle with Jupiter in 4H. Of course with it at 11° these opportunities will come about through unconventional ways, maybe through attention or spotlight since Venus is @ 17°.

Next week Mercury will join in Sidereal Aquarius recreating & continuing the Aquarius Stellium. Pisces transits will begin with the Sun 3/14/22. I’ve been talking some about Capricorn, but I’ve been more focused on Aquarius. This is because since December all Sidereal platforms, including this one have been talking about April 2022 —- THE SHIFT 🌪💨 of Saturn to Aquarius. March is the prelude to things that will become our new collective and individual priorities for a large part of 2022 & years to come. Once again we’re retrograde-free this month, but 🪐 Saturn did enter its shadow over the past weekend, beginning preparations for its June 2022 Retrograde.

Sorry if you have to squint or zoom in to see, spirit had a lot to say. These are the principle energies of April 2022 and the messages coming from them. Some messages may be lingering from the Winter Season, which means the assignment didn’t change just because the energy did. Spring is going to go by much faster than Winter 2022! Don’t miss out, plant your seeds! We ALL have an individual part to play to advance the whole. I didn’t speak on the remaining #Capricorn energy because its fading away quickly! Mars & Saturn are the last planets lingering in Capricorn. Soon those two will be changing to Aquarius! But remember all the things Capricorn has shown you and handle yourself and your situations with #MATURITY

MAY 2022 :

I am left speechless by April. Entering May, Spirit had little to offer me as a channeled message for the energies of this month. Remember just because the energy changed, doesn’t mean the assignments did 🤷🏻‍♀️. That’s not how this stuff works. However, just as April was the completion of our collective & individual “shifts”… May is pushing us to embrace the change welcomed or not. We have a Mercury RX in Sidereal Taurus that snuck up on us real fast and quiet! This RX started April 25th when Mercury entered its shadow & the sign of Sidereal Taurus simultaneously. This entire month, MRX is in Sidereal Taurus and will not be over until the 1st week in June. Amongst that we also have a second eclipse - Sidereal Scorpio Full Moon Eclipse, the last of the TaurusxScorpio Eclipse series from 2021. I didn’t even notice this until I looked at my Sidereal calendar for May… I was actually shocked! BUCKLE THE FUCK UP 😵 SPRING 2022 IS SNATCHING WIGS & HAIRLINES. Keep in mind Saturn has been in its shadow for a few months preparing for its RX in newly entered Sidereal Aquarius. Jupiter also enters its shadow in Sidereal Pisces tomorrow. For the past few months we’ve been shifting around and now we gotta let it all settle. Above are the energies dominating this month & Per usual, opposing forces you can tap into if something is becoming “too much” for you. Notice how as things start to heat up towards Summer, its our job to bring in those cooler energies. 

JUNE 2022 :

Spring 2022 was a powerful season with lots of uncomfortable, but game changing moments 💖 Summer is only going to build on top of that! This first few weeks of June are a crossroads into the next season. Not much has changed in the messaging from transits happening in the following zodiac signs, but here’s some minor changes and reminders as we kick off June! There will ALWAYS be a challenge , its simply about how you handle it!

FULL MOON IN PISCES

On Monday, 20 September 2021, there is a Full Moon in Pisces and occurs on Pisces – Virgo on the zodiac. Full Moons always shining a light or are a culmination point of what we have achieve so far as a result of our action or intensions which we have put on from the New Moon (in Virgo) during this Lunar Cycle. Every Full Moon brings emotional tensions but this Full Moon is Pieces is levelled up in this regard because Pisces are one of the most (if not the most) emotional sign. We may also find that we not only feel our personal emotions but we can be influenced from others’ emotions too. This Full Moon is in axis of healing, health and wellbeing, therefore expressing/releasing our feelings and emotions (in one way or another) may have a purifying and healing effect on our health, respectively wellbeing. The Pisces Full Moon suggests, that results of our actions towards our dreams and intensions could manifest fully or into some extend during this period. We may also leave behind things behind us or closing a chapter which no longer serves our interests and take on board things which could be useful in our next steps towards our dreams, goals and desire. We may also leave distractive habits and behaviours in aim to improve/maintain our health - physical, mental, professional, etc... Full Moon in Pisces also is asking us to tap in into spiritual realm, to look at the things from a higher perspective, to transcend and to listen to our inner voice so we seek for the right direction in our life journey. The best way to channel this energy is through: meditation, prayer, rituals, candle lights, being around water, listening to music, reading book, using our imagination and intuition while seeking for inspiration. Sun is in the sign of Virgo (earth signs, opposite Full Moon) which also is calling us to appreciate Nature, to take care about Mother Earth, to be grounded in our thoughts and actions, and to be realistic in our dreams and desires. The message of this Pisces Full Moon is dream big but take and appreciate the small steps towards your dreams and wishes. This Full Moon is also well supported from Mercury – Jupiter trine aspect which could be a source of opportunities and optimism especially for the next few days.         Keep in mind that these are GENERAL ASTROLOGICAL TENDENCIES and how exactly this energy will influence you it’s depending on your personal horoscope, but most definitely you will feel these astrological events in one way or another, especially, in some areas in your life.
