Probably not for you two, but I’m sure being an adult sidekick has its rewards.” “Merlin, listen to him,” Weasley said, not to Draco but to Granger. “Did we step through a Floo or a Time-Turner?” “As if, Ron, look at him,” said Granger, who was not exactly a nubile eighteen-year-old herself, thanks. “Can we please go? If Lucius and Narcissa come in here, I think I’ll scream.” “Right, off we go,” Weasley said. “Enough silliness, Malfoy, get your shoes on.” Some sloppy wandwork from Weasley dumped Draco’s bit loafers at his feet. “No, I won’t,” Draco said. Then, fearing they’d leave: “Where are we going?”

I added this to the author note of my podfic, but this is me trying to be eloquent about peu's writing while expressing why I love her fics so much.

Now that reveals have happened, I can express more fully my delight in this fic. It was only until I was about halfway through reading this for the first time that I started to think about the mystery author. And instantly, I knew who it was. Peu has such a distinct style, not only in writing, but in her characterization of Draco and Harry. The tenderness and biting humor and faux confidence all mix together to make an irresistible pairing.

Rookie Moves was written from Harry's POV and in this, you're treated to a story from Draco's POV. He manages to make me laugh and feel tender towards him, even as he acts like an ass, and if the end doesn't melt your cold dead heart, I don't even know what to tell you.
