Waspstar receives xeir nine lives the way the Forest Four show xem to, in their new pool, by their new rules. While there, Heartstar assures xem that Juniperclaw has been removed as deputy, will never serve in a position of power again, has gone into exile.

...and Waspstar doesn't respond to that very quickly. Xe has a polite, pungent pause. "Is that the punishment for taking a life? By your code?"

"Our code," Heartstar corrects boldly, in a tone that suggests she sees this as reason and fairness. Our Code-- it protects you too, a gesture of sharing. It makes Waspstar's belly twist. "I've made his punishment VERY severe."

Severe. What a word to describe a vacation.

"He regrets what he's done?"

"Yes, very much."

Waspstar's ear flicks. No. Juniperclaw hasn't even begun to regret what he's done to SkyClan.

"SkyClan will be having a ceremony for Leafstar, to say our goodbyes and welcome in a new era," Xey offer in an even tone, "Spread the word that is is a time of forgiveness. All honored guests may come-- if they want to pay."

Heartstar waits for a beat. Then chuckles incredulously, "Your Clanmew skills could use a brush up. You mean pay their respects, yes? To honor the dead?"

"Oh my, how embarassing," Waspstar smiles back, "I'm so very sorry if I was unclear."

Clear as the sky on a cloudless day. Juniperclaw didn't make it out of that funeral alive. If a true warrior does not need to kill to win their battles, then he was no warrior under the Code at all.

i also think by fridging tante heleen they took a lot away from inej’s personal journey, the manipulation and abuse she experienced, the horror of being caught back in those fake silks, the triumph stealing the jewel right off her neck, all these things inej worked through herself and did for herself in the books become something solely for kaz to save her from, and sure he’s always played a part in her freedom but those steps were really important for inej to work through her trauma originally. consolidating inej’s trauma from heleen/the menagerie and his own into the one villain who was already always his to vanquish was such a bad move

it probably is insane how much I wish I could express the thing about spones. the vibes about spones. Like there's the joking fun fandom vibes and I love them, I love to play with them, of course of course. but the THING. the CORE to me. i wish i could capture it and share it.

I just finished The Magnus Archives for the first time last week! And thought it might be fun to compile the episodes that scared me the most and see which ones spooked the rest of the fandom as well!

#the magnus archives #tma #Guess which entity I dislike most #Spoiler alert it’s the one that’s nearly half the list #I had to replace a couple because I realized 6 of the 10 options were corruption and that wasn’t that fun a poll #Suprisingly though the Corruption isn’t reaponsible for the scariest episode in my mind #for me it’s 100% The Bone Turner’s Tale that story terrifies me so much.#And it’s really the only flesh episode to do that #Hell by the time of the Garden I kinda liked Jared. But for the fear that episode awakened in me he will always be known as The Bonebitch #Also I had to try really hard to find a scary episode of S5 #None of the other ones like actually affected me. Grossed me out perhaps but none of them really got me… frightened like S1 did.#It still took me ages to finish because I don’t like stories ending but… suprisingly it’s probably the breeziest season for me?#poll

the skull here is actually modeled closely after a deer skull, just compressed to fit a dog's overall face shape. also tried to make the eyes a little less wide-set than a deer's without making them completely front-facing like a dog's. here's the rest of the (still un-rendered) body:

Reading the comedic timing part on Acorn Swoop’s post has me wondering: is she considered a trickster god of sorts? Being blamed for when you trip over things when you look away from where you’re going for a moment, dropping acorns on your head while you aren’t looking at the trees and all that?

She isn't exactly a Patron of Luck or Tricks, y'know? But like Bumble, she can sometimes be blamed for tricky things. So that perfectly fits, she made you trip at the perfect time to win a laugh out of people.

Requiem for methuselah is such a spirk episode. Which is insane because the whole plot is kirk falling in love with some blond robot.

And its all bones’ fault. Because bones had that whole speech of “i feel sorry for you because you can’t love”

When he was fucking there when spock tried to stop kirk from seeing Rayna for what she was. I mean why would spock? It didn’t affect the mission, in fact it probably would have benefited them by ending the distraction. Spock did it because he cared for Kirk, and wanted to protect him from pain.

And then of course, famously, he does it again by removing the memory of her existence.

So this whole episode was about Kirk’s love sparking life into a robot, could very well be about Spock, who is often “criticized” for being a robot himself.
