just posted the first chapter of you weren't thinkin' and i was just drinkin' - percy x apollo in which they had a one night stand four years ago and now apollo is his teacher and percy definitely doesnt have feelings but did break up with his girlfriend exactly an year ago about an arguement that wasnt related to the personification of everything shiny and meanwhile apollo who had thought that the one night stand was more than just that, would rather go jump off olympus rather than go through that again.

also neptune is there and beefing with poseidon and amphitrite/salacia is a queen and we all love her.

Percy was fine, okay? He was in his fourth and final year of nursing school and he'd somehow managed to maintain his sanity even after his girlfriend broke up with him an year ago. And then Professor Sunday waltzed into the classroom with his perfect face and perfect smile and everything came crumbling down.

He was not built to withstand this storm.

Apollo just wanted a break, how was he supposed to know Percy Jackson was studying nursing of all things at New Rome University? He does not want to see the demigod again, not after Percy ghosted him the morning after they slept together.

Or, idiots to lovers. Percy copes with projecting his entire life's issues into his relationships. Apollo just wanted a one night stand and did not expect the intensity with which Percy Jackson loves. Poseidon is trying but Percy has daddy issues so Neptune decides to swoop in- except he has absolutely no idea about land customs. Amphitrite/Salacia are the best and Triton is mouring the fate of yet another sibling falling for a sun god.

to say he’s actually dumb is to disagree with those three women. and if you are disagreeing with 3 of the most knowledgeable, capable, and badass characters in the series… what are you even doing?

Love how Percy just casually drops lore all throughout the Son of Neptune. Frank and Hazel are getting the encyclopedia knowledge on every monster they encounter plus some extra side stories from how he fought them in gym classes and "oh yea, I had a fist fight with Kronos in Manhatten."

And then they meet Annabeth and realize that behind every goofy looking powerful guy, there's an incredibly smart, capable and even more powerful woman who makes sure he doesn't die on a daily basis and are like, "oh. thats why he's still alive."

if annabeth had been taken by juno instead you know perfectly well she would’ve remembered percy. bc percy was the first to acknowledge her as a person and not a warrior or an error. the only reason juno didn’t take annabeth was because percy would’ve pulled a ‘rage of achilles’ type shit

amnesiac!percy being super, super, super protective of hazel to a concerning degree but he brushes it off as maybe she reminds him of someone from his life before. when percy explains his plan of drinking gorgons blood, hazel offers herself up to drink the blood. she’s died once before, she can do it again. percy has something to do, he has people to find. he can’t risk his life for something like this. hazel can do it. chances are, with the doors of death open and thanatos locked up, she can find her way back as a child of pluto.

percy refuses. he won’t let her get a word out. she insists. he refuses. their argument crescendos into him calling her bianca. its draws them all up short. percy is confused, he has no idea whose name that is. he has no idea why his chest hurts so bad. hazel does. hazel knows. its her dead sister’s name. nico’s real sister. the one he lost years ago.

she knew that percy and nico knew each other, nico pretty much confirmed it but he refused to elaborate on any of the details. percy must’ve known bianca. that must be where percy and nico knew each other from. she has grown somewhat used to nico calling her bianca, she had been a substitute, a consolation prize from the underworld. nico couldn’t find his real sister so he settled for a shadow of her. she had thought percy, someone she had grown to think of as an older brother, would be different. yet here he is, with no memory, calling her the name of a ghost, someone she can never hope to live up to. someone she can’t compete with. someone who will always be better than her.
