rewatching one tree hill rn and as someone who really related to peyton in her teenage years, it's kind of infuriating how the writers didn't let her have shit ??? she legitimately lost two moms, every guy she loved, her best friend, her dad was never around, she had a stalker pretend to be her brother and then when she actually met the real one he left too... i know it's just a show but it kinda breaks my heart 💔 she didn't need to go through all of that

Good morning , it’s 12:30 am my time here in Winnipeg , Manitoba. “ People always leave”. These are the famous words of the one and only Peyton Sawyer. For those who know “One Tree Hill”, you know that Peyton had many issues with Ellie her real mom. She was adopted. I was fostered. She found her mother deceased with the light and smoke of a candle dispersing / dying out. My mother is still dead to me and always will be. Never needed parents to succeed and become an amazing and intellectual writer. My personality is Peyton and Lucas combined. I love hard , I learn how to love. I communicate through my music and words that I write through my vocabulary and writing skills. My book will come out but we all knew Lucas Scott took forever to publish his novel. My forever right now in this moment in time is my everything ! He’s my safe haven, protecter , best friend , partner , companion and provider. We laugh until we cry and can’t breathe ! I haven’t been this happy in 12 years. However , you learn that people always get up and go ! Quite frankly it feels great to let my guard down but always be prepared to provide for yourself and love yourself before you love someone else ! No one said I was perfect ! But I know you gotta be ready because that feeling hits you and before you know you let your guard down after years of saying f*** love because clearly you’re Childhood Trauma was so psychologically traumatizing that your demons f****** with you’re head and you were always prepared for cheating. You did it on your own without help ! Graduated with two abandoned parents and quite frankly don’t need parents to write my Memoir. If my Romeo is up for the ride on my saddle than giddy up ! But if not I’m riding this one on my own and coming out stronger / better than ever.

Anyhow enough babbling lol !

Have any of you had to experience abandonment issues with parents and them trying to come back after thirteen years of clearly no effort ; Than showing up unexpected at your door trying to come back and make up for the lost memories/time that they missed out on ? If y’all are like me you all know that clearly baggage and addiction comes along with this. Never EVER let you’re guard down ! You are a fighter ! You are better ! You will over come this with or without parents ! You don’t need drugs and bull spit ! Love hard and always treat your neighbours with kindness because you never know what demons they are battling mentally ! Stay kind and be silent ! So my final group therapy class last night was on how to do termination and endings with groups. My prof co-runs a DBT group for people with BPD and explained how termination prepared in advance is really important, especially for people with trauma histories and high levels of abandonment fear. As well as saying that we work towards the goal of people leaving us...in other words, help them in their progress so they hopefully reach a point of no longer needing treatment.

And once again, I am sitting there like 🤡🤡🤡 with my attachment panic ready to spill over. Because T has said as much. That the goal is not dependence on him/treatment.

Intellectually, I get it. But, emotionally I'm screeching and wailing as I internally bang my head against a wall 🫠
