rewatching one tree hill rn and as someone who really related to peyton in her teenage years, it's kind of infuriating how the writers didn't let her have shit ??? she legitimately lost two moms, every guy she loved, her best friend, her dad was never around, she had a stalker pretend to be her brother and then when she actually met the real one he left too... i know it's just a show but it kinda breaks my heart 💔 she didn't need to go through all of that

So my final group therapy class last night was on how to do termination and endings with groups. My prof co-runs a DBT group for people with BPD and explained how termination prepared in advance is really important, especially for people with trauma histories and high levels of abandonment fear. As well as saying that we work towards the goal of people leaving us...in other words, help them in their progress so they hopefully reach a point of no longer needing treatment.

And once again, I am sitting there like 🤡🤡🤡 with my attachment panic ready to spill over. Because T has said as much. That the goal is not dependence on him/treatment.

Intellectually, I get it. But, emotionally I'm screeching and wailing as I internally bang my head against a wall 🫠
