I had forgotten just how bad the consequences were for allowing this horrible child into the clan. Even Fireheart has a moment of "I can't believe I have to put up with this" as if he didn't choose to bring this child into the clan lmfao

I'm actually really loving Cloudkit in this book. He's so fun and he's so MEAN to people. The way he doesn't even hide his disgust or dislike of Tigerclaw? The way he sideeyes cats when they tell him what to do? This boy has shitton of problems with authority figures and I love that for him.

ALSO THE ELDERS LOVE HIM AND HE LOVES THEM AND THAT'S ADORABLE. The way he hangs out with them everyday, and the elders even tells off Fireheart when he tries to discipline the bastard child? Hilarious. Fantastic, even.

Another Warrior Cats rarepair comic: PrincessXDustpelt <3

The more I think about them the more bummed I am it did not happen in canon. A grumpy character with a more naive and sweet one is already cute but extra layer of comedy when its making a former bully awkward in-laws with our poor protagonist. Also step-dad Dustpelt and Cloudkit interactions are funny to me as well since that little shit is my favorite character. <3

Other thoughts- Fireheart is so stressed and anxious durning this period of the series since he's already dealing with Tigerclaw being deputy and knowing his secret, plus Graystripe sneaking off to see Silverstream.

Personally a bit more of a sapphic Princess enjoyer myself (Sandstorm and/or Silverstream would be cute) but this would fix the Erin's 'Dustpelt didn't get a mate :( "'problem" without pairing him up with an apprentice. My HCs for them are trans man and bisexual Dustpelt and pansexual Princess.

I got emotional about Fireheart and Cloudkit when I got to that part of the book. I dont know why, but thoughts of the wasted father/son potential got me annoyed and now I must draw what could have been

Love that Cloudkit tells everyone that Fireheart's his Uncle. It's such a little kid thing to do.

Little kids having one item of information and telling everyone that because they have nothing else to share and they find their information very, very important and special always amuses me. It made Cloudkit a lot of fun to write.
