goop creature but i redesigned him to appeal to me specifically: a ref (?)
i also like the idea of him becoming somewhat sentient overtime. because of palisman juice.
now the question is: does the curse use palismen's combined brainpower to think for itself or do palismen completely take over the curse and it's a hivemind situation?

which of these headcanons ive seen about the grimwalker creation process is y'all's favorite
throw all the raw ingredients in the hole, bury em, and water it with magic until your new child soldier grows big enough to harvest
carve a wooden doll out of palistrom wood, add the bone and galderstone and stonesleeper lungs all at once, cover in selkidomus scales like they do with fish skin on burns, and then bury until the pressure from the soil + magic fuses it all together
carve a fetus out of palistrom wood, put bun in oven (palisman baby in it's womb-grave), bake at 60 degrees fahrenheit for several months/years while you add the other ingredients at various intervals just to make sure it cooks properly, and continue to baste in magic juice until it's a perfect golden guard
it's an extremely complex and difficult process that cant really be described or summarized so easily. due to our lack of knowledge on how magic really works, especially magic that isn't simple glyphs or made from the phlegm in a witch's bilesac, it's not something that you want to put detail into until we are given more detail of the magic system on the boiling isles from dana terrace.
use a glyph to combine all the ingredients and then bury the body until the stone activates and brings your new homunculus to life

Whenever Beardo Philip gets the urge to eat Palisman despite not being around any, he distracts himself by thinking about Camila or spending time with her to keep his mind busy, sometimes having a make out session helps too~
Ooo, yes!
Beardo Philip finds Camila to be the perfect cure for his palisman slurping addiction.
I mean, WHY EAT PALISMAN WHEN YOU HAVE A WHOLE WIFE YOU CAN "DEVOUR" AT ANYTIME ~ 😉 😜 💕 💟
He loves sucking on ... the other straw of the green juices that Camila makes for him that he likes to share with her.
Said drink is a much better substitute for palisman spirits. 👍

TOH Head-Cannon
TW! Blood & Needles Also this is just a head-canon because I thought it would be funny and I got my blood drawn today and wondered what would happen if they got blood drawn as well. Context: while the Hexsquad (Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter) were stuck in the human realm, Camila took them all to get blood drawn, and this is how I think it would go for each character. Also they all get stickers, fishy crackers or normal crackers, and they get to choose between apple juice, orange juice, grape juice, or cranberry juice afterwards.
Luz: She knows the drill and she goes first to show everyone that there’s nothing to worry about. Doesn’t even flinch or freak out when she gets her blood drawn. Also when Luz gets her blood drawn she holds Amity’s hand for no reason other than she can. Luz got a cute hognosed snake sticker, some fishy crackers, and apple juice afterwards.
Amity: She’s scared at first, when the nurse rubbed the alcohol on her skin she flinched a bit. She also brought her palisman Ghost who sat on her lap and purred to calm her down. And yes, she held Luz’s hand. Well, she squeezed it, really hard. Amity got a cat sticker, normal crackers, and orange juice.
Willow: She’s tough surely she would do this with ease. She sat down, saw the needle…and immediately asked if there was something she could hold or squeeze. The nurse gave her a foam stress ball, she squeezed it and it broke. The nurse looked frightened and gave her another one. Willow looked away, squeezed the stress ball, and when she was done she got a little bee sticker. She also got cranberry juice and fishy crackers.
Gus: Gus, he uh, he was a little frightened and jumpy. But, Camila had a great suggestion, she suggested that Gus should listen to music while he gets his blood drawn. And he did that, but he started dancing…he had to sit down and fight the urge to dance while getting blood drawn. He was a little squirmy during it though. Afterwards, Gus got grape juice, a rocket ship sticker, and fishy crackers.
Hunter: Oh, this poor teenager. Willow and Camila had to hold this poor boy down because when it was his turn, he looked at the needle, looked at the nurse, got up, walked to the chair, AND MADE THE FASTEST U-TURN EVER AND SPRINTED TOWARDS THE DAMN DOOR!! Mind you the entire time he was eyeing that same door. Willow ran after him and he was in the hallway, two feet away from the door! But Willow grabbed him and tackled him to the ground. She picked him up and put him in the chair. He was very squirmy. Willow asked Camila to help hold him down to which she said yes and walked over to help. Gus started recording this by the way. Hunter was still putting up a fight which at this point the nurse was starting to wonder what the hell was going on. Hunter finally got his blood drawn and he received a wolf sticker, apple juice, and normal crackers.

Phillip from my OpenMind!AU has much better control of his powers, this is pretty much the worst that happens to him after the first few years
(That's what happens when you don't carve glyphs into your arms and snort up palisman juice, Bitchlos)

re: why Belos would go back to the Isles… well I mean. Not a lot of Palisman juice on Earth now is there. I figure that as long as he was in delusional "I'll get a hero's welcome" mode, he was telling himself that he was okay with the idea of living out a few golden years on Earth and then passing away… but when push came to shove and he started to feel The Hunger he'd change his mind like a good self-centred hypocrite, and find some reason why God *clearly* wanted him to go back after all.
granpa needs his snackies!
#'you can barely keep your human shape anymore'#yeah that's also a good reason he'd decide to go back#who needs a human shape when you can eat magic spirits and be a goo monster#replies#toh#princess luz au#belos toh

Hunter TOTALLY should've gotten a harpy form.
If Eda can get one because she's the host of The Owl Beast's soul, why couldn't Hunter have one, too?
Flap's... soul juices were absorbed into him. So, the argument can be made that Hunter is ALSO hosting Flap's soul.
i mean... i think it gets tricky when you consider that the owl beast probably wasnt a palisman. flapjack was just a guy taking the shape of a bird if you wanna look at it that way so to me it makes sense that hunter is not a harpy

I just found out about that detail that I hadn't paid attention to before. Most plants on the Boiling Isles are various kinds of red, not green, and yet plant magic from both glyphs and witch circles conjure green plants regardless of location.
Do you think it means something, or did the animators decide that the plant magic should be green no matter what?
I think the animators might've wanted to make plant magic obvious as plant magic and not like, red meat tendril magic that Belos uses too.
However, considering how in the Demon Realm green is associated with magic (palisman juice, Belos' rot, bile sacs, Titan's heart), we could explain that design decision with some world building headcanons!
In my opinion, the presence of green pigmentation in flora of the Demon Realm might actually be the main giveaway that it can be manipulated with magic or possesses magical qualities. Then again, that's just a guess and you're free to have your own interpretation!

Question
That again I’m surprised I haven’t asked yet but
Weapons
What kind of weapons do you see witches using because honestly with magic at their disposal one would think they wouldn’t need them but history has often proven the foolishness in such thoughts. See all the times a gun line was overrun by calvary/pikemen/swordsman throughout history.
Sure a witch can disarm, harm, or kill an opponent with a single spell circle but a sword or arrow is still a dangerous weapon and they are faster than people give credit. And it’s canon that some witches and demons don’t have magic so they must rely on other methods. Plus there were Smiths and rune chains which I can only drool over the implications and their uses in metalworking. Staffs are useful and were the universal weapon, seriously a lot of sword forms and strikes use staff fundamentals and you can’t tell me that the palisman teleporting wouldn’t inspire a fighting style of some kind.
Gosh I’m kinda realizing how stupidly massive this question is. Of course they’d have weapons. We’ve even seen them and magic, specifically runes interact with one another in the Grom fight. And we’ve seen weapons made of abomination slime, What with the swords, ball and chain, scythe, gauntlets, knife and whatnot most abomination users have brought out. Hell blight industries had essentially firearms with goo cannons and abomination lasers! Which suggests some fundamental concept of explosive based projectiles! Ah I’m rambling and getting…well not exactly off topic but excessive perhaps…
But weapons!!! And violence! The titan is a rather violent place and all
…I guess?
No question is stupid!!! Keep asking them! Causes the brain juices to flow 😌
But yes! Witches do utilize weapons, but considering the “Savage Ages” are over there’s no need for such ridiculous tools of violence. Most of them are imbued with Wild Magic anyways.
From knives, swords, glaives, gauntlets, and hammers, there’s a good handful of different weapons enchanted in peculiar ways to help enhance combat or protection!
Again, I curse and praise you for having such wonderful questions Dragon. Because I can’t fully answer this one on detail just yet without giving away the secrets/spoilers of the Smiths (and it will be a bit because Hunter may be inclined to take that particular path).

but WAIT, THERE'S MORE (to the gravity falls - amphibia - owl house same universe theory)
if the core is a replication of Bill, like i said here, what other loose threads could be tied up in this theory? don't bother answering i already have a theory
when sasha fights darcy in the final battle and scratches her cheek, marcy’s blood comes out green
and we assume it’s not calamity related bc anne never mentions having blue blood and sasha’s blood and stone are- well- red
plus, at this point her connection to the stone had been severed in the first temple
so we can assume the green blood thing is a “not dying after getting impaled” development
so it's no surprise that i’ve seen it put forward before that it was some kind of meditation andrias had her injected with after killing her so she wouldn’t stay dead, and that it has some sort of alien dna that keeps her from dying like a normal human would
now this reminds me of another green lifesaving substance....
the palisman juice
it keeps belos/phil alive for hundreds of years, and keeps his failing corpse together as he attacks some kids (before the collector shows up)
whether or not Phil/Belos is alive, he functionally is becoming like the TOH equivalent to a zombie, held together by the palisman juice.
Phil/Belos is an example of palisman juice/power keeping someone alive or hundreds of years, and Flapjack's sacrifice is a good example of the juice/power bringing someone back from the dead
where am i going you ask? well, if it can save Phil/Belos and Hunter from(the brink of) death, i'm willing to bet it has the power to bring a teenage girl back to life
so if the cross-dimensional theory is correct
marcy surviving on palisman juice, or failing that, an newt attempt to replicate it, wouldn’t be out of the question
#i swear im not insane#actually i cant make that promise#Bill Cipher#bill cipher being a bad bitch#gravity falls#gravity falls theory#the owl house#owl house theory#amphibia#amphibia theory#im bad at tags#gravity falls owl house amphibia all same universe theory#you might want to send help#my villain era is referencing different fandoms in a theory#anne boonchuy#sasha waybright#marcy wu#luz noceda#amity blight#hunter toh#flapjack#toh#ford pines

Coven head reveals?
Okay. Seems interesting.
Oh, is he cursed too?
Okay, so he also eats palismen? I thought it was someone’s heart juice last time. Hang on...
D’oh! That is a little critter. I didn’t catch the face when I watched the episode; I just saw a misshapen blob and assumed it was that part of someone’s heart that magic comes from.
Uncle? Okay. I was thinking he might be a son or something.
Go on...
Ayyyy! I was thinking it would be odd to put green haired Amity in the new title sequence, just for her to change it in 5 episodes.
Eda serving looks.
What?! She’s missing palisman day?!?!
!!
It’s the bird. I kind of wish I hadn’t stumbled into so much foreknowledge, but also I wouldn’t have found the show if it weren’t for people I follow posting about it, so...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Noticing the score again in this scene. ♪ ♫
So I was previously assuming that the red gem on his staff actually was the bird. Is that a different kind of palisman on his staff, or not a palisman at all? Do the Emperor’s Coven not actually have palismen on their staves? Didn’t Lilith have a raven though? Or am I misremembering that?
And again the score is catching my attention. Last season I felt like the score was mostly just subtly supporting the scenes, but not really coming out front and making an impression. I’m starting to notice it more and more this season.
Okay, revising my theory. They’re Philip’s descendants. They’re part human so they end up like Luz, relying on other forms of magic.
So he is the one with the bird. Hrmmm. Lots to think about with this episode. And I’ll try not to get too caught up in the foreknowledge.
I wonder what kind of palisman Luz will have. The fact that they’re taking their time with it, and saying she can’t picture the future until she sees her mom again, makes me think they’re building up to something momentous.

belos has adhd like luz but palistrom juice acts like a stimulant to humans which is why he gets so calm after taking a hit off a palisman. they’re all basically adderall inhalers to him
#krav talks#this is also why it took him like 4 months to figure out how to get back to the demon realm#he was off his meds for the first time in like 300 years#adderall withdrawal is the WORST

It’s truuuue!
I remember seeing a lot of people say “but the viola is always being broken”
I’m gonna assume that it’s just the viola itself that’s breaking, but not the palisman.
