#gravity falls owl house amphibia all same universe theory

So we all know the theory that Gravity Falls, The Owl House and Amphibia take place in the same universe right?

its a pretty well know theory (even if you don't believe it) in all three fandoms but if you don't here's the gist of it:

so basically that theory is built off easter eggs, like willows dads having a book with Hop-Pops face on it

and references to the other shows like that entire Gravity Falls episode in Amphibia,

that imply that they’re taking place simultaneously, with gravity falls taking place in 2012 and TOH and amphibia taking place in 2019-2020 (without the covid the lucky bastards) with Camilla reading an article about a girl returning from a frog world in the season 2 finale of TOH

but that opens the door for a whole lot of inter-dimensional *shenanigans* and so many plot points i can and will argue reference and overlap with each other.

now theres the obvious similarities like how bills minions fit the description of beast demons from the owl house:

and bill himself is on one of kings posters when he tries to teach Luz about demons:

Bill is also in the book that tells marcy about the calamity box:

a book I believe was written by ford since the cover says its by "Dr. P" (P-ines anyone?) and has eyes that look awfully familiar, which I think are a reference to either the cores eyes, the portal doors eye from toh, or Bills eye (and the fact that this eye symbol is so similar across shows feeds the theory that they're all in the same universe)

meaning the Bill is a semi-universal character/figure throughout the different realms

if the other realms (Bill's realm, the several Ford got trapped in, the Boiling Isles, and Amphibia) have access to each other, and Bill is as universal as he seems, he probably interacted with some citizens of those realms, and probably left a mark

now it's finally time for my personal take/add-in:

we never get an origin for the core 

or the newts relation to the core

we get an episode about Andrias's personal history and his individual relation to the core, and how he came to be the guy who manipulated and then stabbed a very vulnerable teenage girl, but it seems like the core has just been with the Leviathan lineage since at least before Andrias's dad (who's over a thousand years old since thats how old the flashback is)

so, what am I rambling about?

well, if bill, a dream demon, made his way to amphibia, the core might have been the newts attempt to artificially replicate his powers

NOW HEAR ME OUT: on top of being incredibly powerful once he’s released in gravity falls

he also has the power to go into other peoples minds and search their memories like he does to Stan in his very introduction

which is an awful lot like what the core tries to do, since Andrias says the core is the hive mind of a dozen of the greatest newt minds and when Darcy happens it has complete access to her memories

not to mention how when it talks to andrias what physically appears when it talks are it’s eyes, which is what changes on dipper and Blendin (time travel dude) when bill possess them

the amphibians (powered by the music box) were an incredibly advanced civilization capable of a lot of damage (as seen by the literal frobot army they created

so i don't think it would be crazy to say that when they (specifically the newts) saw what a being like Bill could do, they would try to replicate it.

Obviously, the core and Bills mind-jumping powers are not the same, which is a way I'd say the Amphibians failed: instead of popping in and out of peoples minds like Bill does, the core completely takes their minds, more like a parasite.

we don't know all the parameters since we know basically nothing about the other newts in the hive mind, other than that each mind shows up as an eye on the cores "head" before and after it possesses Marcy. and speaking of the girl, she has no control or consciousness (that we know of) while under the cores control.

but we do get one and a half-ish examples of people who are very aware of the cores presence in their mind (unlike Bill) but are physically controlling their own bodies (we think) (unlike Marcy) and those two are Andrias and his dad, who both communicate with the core more like it's just a very dangerous, intrusive thought.

so.... yeah...

There's one question/theory about The Owl House I still need answers to:

IS THE HUMAN REALM FULLY AWARE OF THE BOILING ISLES NOW?

From the looks of it, the portal isn't exactly hidden like it used to be; there's a welcome sign and you hear The Collector saying, "Welcome to the Boiling Isles!". Also, Gus is teaching in a Human-Demon Realm Exchange Program?

Does this mean that human other than Luz and Camila can freely cross over into the Demon Realm now? If so, what does the government/world authorities say about this?

It doesn't look like there's any trouble (then again, this is the finale, why would there be any conflict still lols).

But, we also know that Amphibia shares the same Human Realm as The Owl House from the season two finale easter egg. Since the government is most likely aware of Amphibia, does this mean they are fine with the Demon Realm existing too??

We can also take it a step further and say that Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and The Owl House take place in the same universe. At this point, from all the weird anomalies that have taken place from their respective shows, has the world just completely accepted all these weird new realms and events?? And just, let them happen LOL??

It would be so cool and funny if someone drew this headcanon of a Gravity Falls x The Owl House crossover where Grunkle Stan and Ford "investigate" the Demon Realm and sees Meredith (aka Eda) again LMAO.

plus if Devil from Cuphead Show, has been around for centuries to even eons, that would make him an Eon-Boomer.

anyway the reason why Cadance, Shinning Armor and Cozy Glow’s Cutie Marks

are in the same space, has to do with a theory I have that is about Cozy Glow secretly being Shining and Cadance’s daughter.

both Chrysalis and Tirek are Royalty, and Cozy Glow is possibly Royalty,

and she has blue mane, pink coat and is a pegasus.

it does kind of suck that out of all the ponies that don’t get reformed,

it’s Pegasi, I can’t be the only one who notice this, right...?

unless there is a comic that shows different, and I guess I could try to look it up to see if there is a comic canon about a Villain Pegasus being reformed...

but my theory about Cozy Glow is wrong, and maybe she isn’t their daughter.

but it doesn’t change the fact that there could be a reason why she ended up with a twisted view and became corrupted.

and from what we know of the whole ponies throwing some creatures from their native homes in the forest, and right into Tartarus.

oh and let’s not forget, instead of just sending Cozy Glow to the Human World (where Sunset Shimmer lives currently.)

they decide to send her to Tartarus.

I can still like a show but can disagree with certain actions that heroes end up doing, that can do more harm than good.

maybe magic leaving Equestria was Karma.

it’s like you can only misuse magic so much before karma comes to play.

same goes for Star Butterfly scapegoating magic as the problem,

but in truth it was her and her family that were the problem, because of their misuse of the magic.

magic can only become a problem, if it is being misused by it’s wielder.

and I still think Chrysalis became traumatized and it is the reason why she rejects the magic of friendship, and I also believe she isn’t really Thorax and Pharynx’s Mother, and that she was once a pony before being brought back to life as a changeling.

plus Princess Celestia keeping Magical Artifacts that don’t belong to the ponies, and one of them belonging to possibly Thorax and Pharynx’s True Mother....

 it just doesn’t seem right, shouldn’t all those artifacts be returned to the Changelings, Yaks, Dragons, Griffin and Hippogriff...?

and there could be other fans who have been starting to question it as well.

maybe just don’t worry about it for now...

besides Cozy, Shining and Cadance’s Cutie Marks being in this drawing,

kind of reminds me of Purple-Guy, for all we know we might of been tricked and “Purple-Guy” could turn out to be The Puppet of The Classic Animatronics, and Toy-Puppet was their replacement.

Amphibia Prophecy Theory

Three Stars Burning Bright, Come From Beyond to Expel The Night, Should They Fight Or Embrace The Fall, Their Choice Will Determine All.

One thing that struck me about this prophecy that Andrias built his entire plans to subvert, is where we find it. A map presumably showcasing how Amphibia's colonial Empire looked like.

There's some valid speculation that one of these planets is the planet the Owl House takes place in(Since we know that these two series are set in the same overall setting as Gravity Falls), but what i find more interesting is what we can gleam from this picture.

The only thing we actually know about the worlds that Amphibia subjugated, is that the Mossmen originated from one of them, and the Shadowfish was presumably from another.

However, from this map, it looks like Amphibia had at the time of its fall subjugated 3 other worlds(judging by those straight lines), and at the time of this prophecy was in the process of subjugating another(The bottom left, which has some weird stuff with the lines going on).

And finally, there is Earth. Earth is clearly different than the other 4 planets, since it doesn't have a single line between it and Amphiba(messed up or straight), and in fact looks like it's deliberately marked off from the others.

Presumably, Earth had been scouted out by Amphibians, but was at the time planned for a later conquest(Once the current on was done.), one that the Amphibians never got around to doing before Andrias resurrected the Empire of old.

But this does raise the question. Why was this prophecy about the defeat of the core, put alongside a map of Amphibia's overall empire?

Well, there is the possibility that though the rulers of Amphibia didn't know where these supposed "Burning Stars" would come from. But they knew enough about the world to realise that "From beyond" meant from another world. So they listed all the worlds they knew about at the time, and guessed the answer was that this threat would come from one of them.

Given the sun and moon imagery on the top of the page, along with the text around the page, it seems that this section of the book was an in universe speculation on the prophecy. What is the night? Where will these "Stars" come from? On this page, the author laid out all his speculation on the topic. Including listing the planet where the stars would eventually come from. Earth.

And when Andrias friend stole the box and crippled the empire, she decided that the best place to go, was the one planet the Amphibians knew about, but who would not have any negative experiences with it, which would for obvious reasons make her a hated figure in her exile.

Why, mayhaps the only reason she knew about the Earth speciffically was through this book that was meant to warn the rulers of this coming danger, thus ironically laying the foundations of the Core's demise in the book meant specifically to help future monarchs protect it.

Mayhaps it was Andrias himself who showed it to her, showing her the world that HE would take and "civilize" for the empire(Or whatever justification they would have been raised on to justify their colonial empire). Maybe he even took her there personally to impress her, or sweep her off her feet.

And in the end, when going into exile, she choose this planet, that Andrias himself introduced her to. Choosing Earth, over him.

It certainly would go a long way to explain why when remaking the empire of old, Andrias has a particular hatred and obsession with Earth, despite it never having been a colony.

My theory on the timeline with Amphibia and it’s crossovers

So far, the only cartoons that we’re sure that are connected to Amphibia are; The Owl House, Gravity Falls, Tgamm, and Steven Universe.

I am 100% sure that Gravity Falls happened either years or months before Amphibia did. Years cause the characters canon birth years and months because the cameos on season 3a could just be brand new.

So with this, Marcy has two jobs; webcomic artist and works for Dipper in whatever paranormal job it is. He could be either her boss or just coworkers.

The Owl House has to be the same timeline as Amphibia. Cause other wise, Sasha fell into a time pool and got stuck on being the boiling ilses therapist.

Speaking of therapy, I am pretty sure that Steven’s therapist is Sasha. Cause his therapist has to be completely normal with all the gem shit that happened to him and Sasha is the perfect person for the job. Also the cameo with the van is probably just Steven, Greg, and Pearl going on a trip to that hotel where Pearl sang it’s over isn’t it?

Tgamm. I’m half convinced that Anne and Molly are related. Either distant cousins or great-great-great-something niece. Just imagine that Oum’s or Bee’s family have a long line of being restaurant owners. Nin could be Anne’s younger sister or her distant cousin.

That last one is a stretch but I’m sure of the 1st 3.

I decided in this post, I am just going to discuss Gravity Falls fanzine ideas I had in mind, that I figured others might be interested in. (my next post will contain my aus and short descriptions of them) Second Summer- The title is pretty self explanatory. After the end of their 8th grade year, Mabel and Dipper return to Gravity Falls for another action packed summer, this time spending all of it with both Grunkles. From creatures they've already encountered, to ones they've never seen before, hanging out friends old and new (maybe some Dipcifica would be going on), going on a few high seas adventures with their uncles on the Stan O' War ll. So many possibilities! Crossovers- We all know how lots of cartoons have been making little crossover hints to being connected to GF, such as Star vs the Forces of Evil, The Owl House, Amphibia, Rick and Morty, Big City Greens, and if you squint really hard Phineas and Ferb, just to name a few 😁. And there are some crossovers that people have made on their own accord, like with Steven Universe and Over the Garden Wall. So, why not turn these crossovers into a reality with a zine and merch? Disney AUs- Now, I know there has already been the So Many Falls zine @gravityfallsauzine and artists/mods have made, but this one's a bit different. These aus would revolve around other Disney movies/shows, but in place of their original characters are the Gravity Falls characters. For example, The Beauty and the Beast au, The Owl Shack au, Crystal Falls/Crystal Pines au, Parent/Grunkle Trap au, etc. The Same Coin- A zine revolved around the Same Coin Theory, that Bill is Stan reincarnated. And after the events of Weirdmageddon and Bill (his evil self) being supposedly destroyed, Stan starts developing Bill's powers and remembering things that never took place, at least not in his life as Stanley Pines. So, this would pretty much be a zine filled of different artists' and writers' takes on the theory. (Could have it to where every artist/writer makes an art piece/comic or fic from different points in the theory in order. Like, when Stan firsts starts acting different, his inner turmoil, how he tries to protect his family from himself because he believes Bill is coming back, his and his family's acceptance of who he is NOW, etc) Brothers (couldn't think of a better name): A fanzine revolving around the Stan bros, from when they were younger to when they're older, following the lines of canon a bit, but stuff that wasn't shown in the show can be filled in by the fans. Such as the adventures and escapades they got into in their kid/teen years, times they thought about each other during their 40 years apart, treasure hunting and anomaly discoveries while sailing, their older age (way past canon). Hurt/Comfort- As the name implies, a bunch of art/comics and fics revolving around hurt and comfort between GF characters. The Stan Twins: Into The Unknown- Tales of the Stan Twins' sea adventures aboard the Stan O' War ll. From discovery New anomalies/fighting them, seeking lost treasures, visiting new places, and just chilling on the beach. That's all the GF zine ideas I have as of currently. If someone reads through these ideas and decides to try making one of them a reality, feel free to do so. I only ask of two things. 1. Please give me credit for the idea. I don't mind someone using them, just don't pass it off as your own, thank you. 2. If you could, let me know. I would really like to be a part of creating the zine, rather it be creating an artwork or writing a fic. Anyways, thank you for taking interest in reading my zines ideas!

ok i do think that predicting that actual plot points of entirely different shows will hinge on things that only gravity falls fans will understand is when the theories become ridiculous, but the idea that the weird occult gravity falls references in amphibia and the owl house means that these shows all take place in the same universe is hilarious and also really interesting

A Theory on Dr. P

In regards to who Dr. P is, I highly doubt it would be Stanford Pines or anyone in the Pines family. Sure, Amphibia does leave references to Gravity Falls, but that is the truth of the matter: they are just references. It's like how people try to loop all the Pixar films as being in the same universe through Easter eggs. Just because shows like Amphibia or the Owl House have references to GF, it does not immediately mean they are 100% in the same universe.

It makes more sense to me that "P" would stand for Plantar. If you recall in "Family Shrub," the kids find out that there was more to the ancestry of the Plantar family than they realized. They had ancestors who were a lot of things, one in particular being a scientist. Because of that, it is reasonable to assume that the Calamity Box was created by one of the ancestors of the Plantars. But who would the identity of the ancestor be?

Remember how everyone came up with the theory that Andrias' friend was really Sprig and Polly's mother as a younger frog? Ultimately, I am unconvinced that is their mother because of Hop-Pop explicitly saying she was eaten by herons. Assuming Hop-Pop isn't a lying man, you could argue that maybe that wasn't as clear cut as it first appeared.

While we know that Andrias is over thousands of years old, to me, wouldn't it be more conceivable that it couldn't possibly have been Mrs. Plantar? While the show never makes it clear how long Amphibia frogs and toads live in comparison to their Earth cousins, considering how massive Andrias is, I have taken it to mean that there were more going on underneath his skin that could enable him to live a long life, certainly more than a salamander from Earth can attest to. Pushing the longevity thing aside, you have Hop-Pop who is definitely an elderly frog. So maybe the more down the line from "elites" like the salamanders, there still would be no way that Sprig's mother could have been around thousands of years ago and then suddenly decides to have children half a millennium later.

We know in the episode that one of the ancestors of the Plantars was a scientist. So, could it be that the scientist then had a daughter who was either handed down the Calamity Box as a family heirloom or could have overseen its creation?

but WAIT, THERE'S MORE (to the gravity falls - amphibia - owl house same universe theory)

if the core is a replication of Bill, like i said here, what other loose threads could be tied up in this theory? don't bother answering i already have a theory

 when sasha fights darcy in the final battle and scratches her cheek, marcy’s blood comes out green

and we assume it’s not calamity related bc anne never mentions having blue blood and sasha’s blood and stone are- well- red

plus, at this point her connection to the stone had been severed in the first temple

so we can assume the green blood thing is a “not dying after getting impaled” development

so it's no surprise that i’ve seen it put forward before that it was some kind of meditation andrias had her injected with after killing her so she wouldn’t stay dead, and that it has some sort of alien dna that keeps her from dying like a normal human would

now this reminds me of another green lifesaving substance....

the palisman juice 

it keeps belos/phil alive for hundreds of years, and keeps his failing corpse together as he attacks some kids (before the collector shows up)

whether or not Phil/Belos is alive, he functionally is becoming like the TOH equivalent to a zombie, held together by the palisman juice.

Phil/Belos is an example of palisman juice/power keeping someone alive or hundreds of years, and Flapjack's sacrifice is a good example of the juice/power bringing someone back from the dead

where am i going you ask? well, if it can save Phil/Belos and Hunter from(the brink of) death, i'm willing to bet it has the power to bring a teenage girl back to life 

so if the cross-dimensional theory is correct

marcy surviving on palisman juice, or failing that, an newt attempt to replicate it, wouldn’t be out of the question

Okay so. Talking about portals, crazy fan theories and all that and the interconnectedness of the Hirsh/Braley/Terrace shows got me thinking. The US government clearly has the means of locating and visualizing other dimensions like the Demon Realm as shown in Amphibia when an image of The Owl House shows up, and how multiple realms canonically do exist as demonstrated by the Box’s ability to world jump. So finding the means and power isn’t something necessarily new to the shows. Heck, it’s not even new to Earth. And I’m not just taking about the US government.

Now, bear with me here but do you remember Ford’s portal? The one that got him lost for decades and still functions to this day? Yeah. That one.

Now, this is a stretch but think back to Frobo’s final design and the Mabel sticker on his hand. It might be Mabel’s merch, it might be the same brand she got her sweaters from, I don’t know. The point is, there’s a common source on the West Coast for that stuff, Mabel or otherwise.

So what am I getting at here? It’s that there’s a working, stable portal (albeit expensive to power as we know from Gravity Falls) just west of weird in the world and a couple of twins who are well-versed in world saving and stuff. Actually, make that two for both sets of Pines Twins. But I digress; all I want to say is there’s one hundred percent a way for the Trio to go to Amphibia again, it might just take a lot of trawling obscure internet boards and urban legends for the crazy kids who fought a giant space dorito in their house gundam.

And if you’re thinking “wait a second, what if Amphibia and Gravity falls are in parallel universes?” So what? The Pines still have the portal. It wouldn’t be hard for them to find spikes in weird activity, like say an otherworldly power source suddenly bringing a giant lizard and his tiny kid/parent to conquer the world? Plus TOH also having a known reliable way of traveling between realms via portals if they can keep them stable soooooo. Anyways. Matt said something about a 3-way crossover and I am more than down.
