hi! can i have prompts for rodolphus please?
SONGS ON RODOLPHUS LESTRANGE'S MIXTAPE COULD BE...
"You never listen to a word that I said. You only seen me. For the clothes that I wear. Or did the interest go so much deeper. It must have been. The colour of my hair." - Public Image, Public Image Ltd. (1978) [x]
Rodolphus' relationships with his friends is an interesting one, forged mainly through family ties and expectation. How does Rodolphus feel about the people he spends his time with outside of work, like BELLATRIX BLACK [close friend/potential love interest], ARISTAEUS GREENGRASS, DECIUS FLINT [best friend] and LUCIUS MALFOY [close friend]. Does he agree with them? Does he find them interesting? You could stage your sample at an event at somewhere like Moribund's or a pure-blood ball and contrast it with a time of Rodolphus at school, exploring if and how his view point has changed and how he moves in these circles.
"Sometimes I think I wanna but I don't know if I should. The way I walk is just the way I walk. The way I talk is just the way i talk. The way I smile is just the way I smile." - The Way I Walk, The Cramps (1983) [x]
Expectation has weighed heavily on Rodolphus since he was a young boy, how has this ubringing effected his life? Is he in a position he wants to be in, or is it because his family wanted it for him? How does he feel about blood supremacy and are any of those views his own? Consider who Rodolphus is in adulthood and how he was shaped to be the man he is. Is it something that still weighs on him now, the pressure to be prefect and has it effected his relationships with other people in his life, namely his colleague ANDROMEDA BLACK [colleague/potential love interest].
"The boy with the thorn in his side. Behind the hatred there lies. A murderous desire for love. How can they look into my eyes And still they don't believe me?" - The Boy with the Thorn in His Side, The Smiths (1986) [x]
Family means everything to the Lestranges and Rodolphus would do anything for RABASTAN LESTRANGE [brother], including lie cheat and put someone else in prison for a crime he committed. You could explore Rodolphus' relationship with Rabastan in your sample, maybe staging the sample when Rodolphus first confronted Rabastan about his involevment in AMELIA BONES' [former colleague] death, a time where Rodolphus was suspcious or the aftermath of throwing the trial. How does Rodolphus feel about what he's done for Rabastan and how does he feel about his involvement with his plans?

What do you think of Bellatrix? Would you have liked to explore more dynamics about her?
I *love* unpacking sibling dynamics and toxic relationships, so of course I find Bellatrix fascinating. (Also "Bellatrix Lestrange" might be my favorite name in a series full of very good names. 10/10.)
To me, what's key about Bellatrix is that she's the oldest of the three Black sisters. She could have been written as the indulged, attention-seeking bratty baby... but that would be a less interesting character.
Growing up, I think Narcissa was probably the quiet, passive child. That's her strategy when Voldemort shows up and she's once again living with a powerful, unstable authority figure. (I mean we have no info about what Cygnus Black was like, but he's Walburga Black's younger brother, and I imagine they probably enforced each other's extremism and intensity after their brother got blasted off the tapestry.) Narcissa's strategy is fade to the background, don't react, don't let them see what you're thinking, let them ignore you.
(I also think it's very believable that she went subtly went low contact with the Blacks after she married Lucius. The Malfoys have *always* been much more squeamish about violence, and much more politically moderate. I think Narcissa likes that.)
Andromeda you can take in a couple of different directions, but she was probably the problem child/scapegoat. And if she wasn't before she married Ted, she DEFINITELY was after. She also looks so much like Bellatrix that Harry does a double take, which I think... would have really bugged Bellatrix growing up, and informed their dynamic. Bellatrix sees herself as SO exceptional that she wouldn't want to be compared to anyone... but if she were, then it would be important that any casual comparisons come out in HER favor. (Which can't have been fun for Andromeda.) It's interesting that Voldemort underlines the connection between the two sisters as a way to get under Bellatrix's skin, and it works *really* well. She's got a competitive streak.
Because Bellatrix would have 100% grown up the *Golden Child.* Powerful, driven, beautiful in a striking way. The Daddy's Girl energy is off the charts (and she was probably Aunt Walburga's favorite too.) Bellatrix is described as acting like a queen, which is exactly how she sees herself. She grew up in an echo chamber not only telling her that people like her were special and better... but that she was the most Special one within the Special group.
So she meets Lord Voldemort. He's beautiful, driven, brilliant, power levels off the charts. He's Grindelwald born again (but straight) (probably.) He's not just the Dark Lord, he's a King. He wants to rule the world as an immortal god-king. He tells Bellatrix that this is going to happen, and she believes him.
And like - of course she's into that. But also, seeing yourself as a temporarily embarrassed Immortal Goddess Empress requires such a specific self-concept. You are going to need a delusionally high opinion of yourself... but also enough talent/power/beauty/external validation to carry that idea into adulthood.
(also Rodolphus... he doesn't count. Good Marriage was just another box to check as a young woman so Bellatrix could remain Perfect. The rules are different if you're a Immortal Goddess Empress anyway. Any consort she had would be so far below her own power level, or the power level of her King, that he literally would not matter. But she's not going to have a *kid* with Rodolphus. She's Voldemort's favorite, Rodolphus is not good enough. You sire PRINCES with the KING.)
Voldemort of course would know all this. And we see him have so much fun finding ways to creatively torture Lucius. He's a sadist in general sure, but there's something specifically about bringing pureblood royalty low that he gets REALLY into. He *likes* bringing up the werewolf nephew-in-law and and watching Bellatrix scramble desperately for ground, crying, while the rest of the Death Eaters point and laugh. Until he tells them to cut it out, because he's the only one with enough power to do that.
And then Bellatrix goes back to her room and probably constructs a whole narrative about how that was actually Voldemort protecting her, because she's the most Special, and it's all in good fun really. Because the alternative is having to admit that she's not extraordinary, she's just a punching bag (like Lucius Malfoy.) This is where a lot of her anger and instability come from. Every time she's in a situation where someone else is doing something *more* or *better* ... she lashes out.
In the main timeline of the books this mainly shows up in her dynamic with Narcissa. Bellatrix tries to give orders in Malfoy Manor (I am sure it really annoys her that Voldemort is using her sisters house as his HQ. That isn't how it's supposed to go.) Narcissa is sacrificing Draco for the Dark Lord? Well, Bellatrix would have five sons (hypothetically) and sacrifice them all (happily.) She tries to shift the blame for Department of Mysteries thing 100% onto Lucius, and gets really defensive when Snape implies that he has more emotional intimacy with Voldemort than she does.
But she's still really, really useful, and Voldemort knows this. She is talented, and powerful, and his best enforcer. So he would have so much fun dangling that carrot just out of reach, forever. The prophecy makes such a big deal about Voldemort marking Harry "as his equal," because that's just not a thing he does. BELLATRIX certainly isn't his equal.
(dumbledore though... we can maybe revisit.)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀* ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .

Premise: Everyone has light and dark inside them. That’s what Sirius told Harry that night in Grimmauld Place. It was how one chooses to act that sets the stone of who they are as a person. It’s something Harry has to remind himself when he encounters Sirius’s cousin, the youngest of the Black sisters, Y/n. After 14 years in a cold, dark cell, Y/n’s accepted she no longer believes in angels. And the Devil himself wouldn’t want to cross her
Note: this is part 1 to a 2 part imagine where I had the idea that Sirius had another cousin, Bellatrix & Narcissa's youngest sister who has quite the age gap between them and was forced to become a death eater but has no loyalty to either side since both failed her. Part 2 should be out later this week so i hope you enjoy this!
—————————
The floors of 12, Grimmauld Place creaked beneath Harry’s shoes as he entered the room at the end of the staircase he had been following Hermoine and Ron down. What drew his attention in the first place was the wallpaper. A green based mural branching out in the form of a tree. As Harry got closer he made out the portraits embedded into the wall, as were their names, birthdates and date of death if they’d passed. Some areas were black, covering up the picture seated above the name.
Harry flinched back upon notice of the house elf, Krecher, nestled inside the room. He mumbled something he couldn’t quite make out, then said, “Harry Potter. The boy who stopped the Dark Lord. Friend of mudbloods and blood traitors alike.” Unsure of what to say, Harry just stood looking down at the elf in silence. “My poor mistress--.” A loud voice cut him off.
“Kreacher!” It belonged to Sirius. “That’s enough of your bile.” Waving a finger, he dismissed the elf. “Away with ya!”
Clasping his hands, Krecher lowered his head, “Of course, Master. Kreacher is pleased to serve the Noble House of Black.” He stalked off and away from the two. Passing Sirius on his way out.
Entering the room, Sirius gave an apologetic look, “Sorry about that. He never was very pleasant--even when I was a boy.” There was a slight pause, “not to me.”
Surprise took over Harry’s face, “Wh-wha-you grew up here?”
“This is my parents' house,” his Godfather explained, “I offered it up to Dumbledore as headquarters for the Order.” A hand trailed the edge of the doorway, “About the only useful thing I’ve been able to do.” Dark eyes landed on the mural, seeing it was the object of Harry’s attention, “This is the Black family tree.”
Sirius couldn’t help but land his gaze on the branches depicting his cousins. Andromeda’s was burnt out, much like his. The only cousin he was still fond of.
Well…..she wouldn’t have been the only one.
For Narcissa, under her name was Lucius Malfoy, with a branch leading to their only son, Draco. Sirius’s eyes narrowed on the one beside Andromeda’s.
“My deranged cousin,” Harry picked up on the distaste in his tone. Following Sirius’ gaze where it landed on the portrait of a young woman with wild curly hair and high cheekbones. Bellatrix. Beneath her name was Rodolphus Lestrange. “I hated the lot of them.”
Looking past the next portrait, though Harry caught his posture stiffen when his eyes glazed over it, Sirius maintained his composure. Focusing back on his hateful family, “My parents with their blood mania.” Raising his hand, his fingers brushed over the blackened spot where his face once laid. Sadness laced his voice, “My mother did that after I ran away. Charming woman,” his arm dropped back to his side. “I was sixteen.”
Part of him wanted to question his Godfather’s reaction to the portrait, but knew it wasn’t the right moment. He was curious. Especially since the name was unlike the other members of the House of Black. Like Narcissa, she wasn’t named after a celestial body or constellation.
Frowning, feeling the hurt radiate off Sirius, Harry instead asked, “Where did you go?”
“To your dad’s. I was always welcomed at the Potters,” A small smile curled on Sirius’ lips as he glanced over Harry. Kind eyes the boy had grown accustomed to. “I see him so much in you, Harry. You are so very much alike.”
The next few minutes involved Harry confessing to Sirius his connection to Voldemort. Voicing concern of the possibility he was turning into him. Sirius assured Harry he was a good person, who’s had bad things happen to him. Followed by educating the boy on how everyone had their own angels and demons. Light and dark. Good and bad. How the only thing that matters is what part people chose to act on.
The entire time Sirius explained this to Harry, he thought of the portrait behind him. Almost like her painted eyes were boring into the back of his head. Reminding him of how he failed her. Much like everyone else in their family.
Once good. Turning bad due to the odds against her.
Maybe there was still some good deep down. Sirius prayed so. But the chances of him ever discovering were about as slim as convincing the Minister Voldermort was back.
“Sounds like you know from experience,” Harry said aloud, eyes trailing to the portrait behind Sirius. The one he noticed him trying to avoid. Yet managing to show how deeply this relative affected him.
Sighing, the man turned on his heel, staring at the portrait. No longer able to visibly hide his emotion as he read the name Y/n -- 1967.
“My cousin, Y/n,” his tone lacked malice compared to when he spoke of Bellatrix. “The youngest of the Black sisters. My aunt and uncle were shocked to learn they were expecting a fourth child--nearly twelve years after they had Narcissa.” Fingers brushed over her name, smiling softly as memories surfaced in his mind like a film. “Drove her parents wild with her energy. I was eight when she was born, and as I got older she’d follow me around the house. A little shadow if I must say.” Harry heard him chuckle to himself, “one summer I brought her to meet your father and Remus--didn’t tell her mother mind you. I nearly met my end at the hands of Druella’s wand when we returned that night.” It was as clear as if it were yesterday.
Young 14 year old Sirius with Y/n, aged six at the time, on his hip as they made their way to Diagon Alley to buy sweets she was not allowed to have. She instantly fell in love with James and Remus, as did the boys adore her. She was so different from her older sisters--who had graduated Hogwarts ages ago and were off with their own lives. Meaning the child was alone majority of the time with only the house elves tending to her. Her father worked and her mother did the bare minimum. That’s why Sirius would visit her often. To make sure she was okay. Y/n clinged to Sirius like a puppy. Much like that day where she begged to go with him to meet his friends. She wanted to explore the outside world her parents isolated her from.
Y/n didn’t display the blood mania her family was known for. And when her parents would preach it, the girl kept her attention on her dolls and drawing pictures with her crayons Sirius had smuggled her. The older cousin prayed she’d never turn out like them. Only he knew with the tensions of a certain Dark Wizard making rounds in London, Sirius feared for Y/n’s safety. And sanity. Especially after overhearing Bellatrix’s plans to begin teaching Y/n the dark arts before she entered Hogwarts.
If only Sirius took her away. Brought her to the safety of the Potters like she wanted. “You can’t leave, Sirius,” she cried, the now eight-year old grasping his pant leg to prevent him from leaving the house. Tears painted her chubby face. It broke his heart to see. “Please don’t leave me here--I-I’m scared of them. P-please, cousin. Take me with you!”
Oh how he wanted to. If he did then he’d save Y/n from her fate. From Bellatrix. From Voldemort. But a kidnapping charge he’d surely receive by taking Y/n Black away from her parents would have Sirius spend the rest of his life in Azkaban.
A reality he’d face years later for a different reason.
“What happened to her?” Harry’s voice brought him out his thoughts. The man shrugged his shoulders to shake off the tension in his muscles. A frown painted his features.
“She’s serving a life sentence in Azkaban.” It hurt him more to say it out loud. The reality had sunk in. As though it had been a dream the past 14 years. Sirius remembered how his heart dropped when the news spread of Y/n’s imprisonment. Bellatrix’s was no shock. He’d been hoping his deranged cousin would be locked away.
But his sweet baby cousin who cried when she saw her father yelling at the house elves. That he could’ve never imagined. Even when the headline on the Daily Prophet told him the truth in big, bold letters, ‘Life sentence for 15-year-old Death Eater, Y/n Black. Cousin of notorious mass murderer, Sirius Black and younger sister of Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange.’ Sirius didn’t believe for a second Y/n acted on her own accord.
“She was never like the rest of them,” He told Harry after a moment of silence. Noticing the boy’s worried look, Sirius softly shook his head. “My cousin is a rare case, Harry. A prime example of becoming everything she hated as a result of the circumstances around her. Not a day goes by where I don’t feel regret by not being there for her. Had I been so…,” he pictured what could’ve been, “She’d likely be here with us. The Order.”
Harry pictured it too. Sirius’s tone gives him indication that Sirius still cared for Y/n. Wishing fate had turned out different for her. For both of them.
Hermoine appeared moments later to announce they had to leave. Sirius ended the conversation with a promise to Harry that when all was over, they’d be a family again. Living in Grimmauld Place in peace. With a hug goodbye, Harry exited the room, but not before catching his Godfather gave one last glance to Y/n’s portrait.
Crouched in her cell, hands over her ears like they were most days, Y/n shook from the cold wind. Willing the voices in her head to disappear. A constant battle she faced everyday since the chains were first put on her. Some of them were the distant echo of Azkaban's prisoners below. Others she was sure she kept imagining.
The first two years Y/n cried every day. By the fifth year she stopped reacting to everything around her. Once the tenth year of her sentence passed, only a shell of her remained. Staring at the wall with her hands covering her ears. The same routine. Everyday.
But today was going to be different. The voices were louder than usual. Causing difficulty to keep them at bay.
Suddenly Y/n winced with a light shriek, a burning sensation erupting along her forearm. Gaze dropping down, the ink of where her dark mark laid bolded. The feeling intensified. Y/n didn’t know how to react. Only experiencing numbness at what it meant.
A loud explosion caught her attention on the left side of her cell. Followed by the maniacal laughter of her sister. Rising from her position, Y/n’s bare feet brushed against rocks and freezing water. Rats scurried past as she walked toward where the window of her cell had been. The wind grew stronger with each step, nearly sweeping her off balance.
When she breached the area responsible for the explosion, Y/n had a clear image of the sky above her. The ocean’s treacherous waves beneath her. And dementors flying rapidly in the distance. There was no stopping the smirk from painting her chapped lips. Her eyes that were normally empty pits of nothing, suddenly emerged with an emotion unable to contain.
She was free.
It was the only thing on his mind when he read the paper that morning. Plaguing his thoughts with a newfound fear. Everywhere he went that day Neville saw the headline, “Mass Breakout From Azkaban.” Following the names of the high security prisoners freed from its confines. On the front page below the headline, moving images of two women were enough to have some of the students shivering. Bellatrix, with her wild curly hair, appeared crazed. While the woman in the image beside her was in a state of despair. Neville shuddered when his eyes locked on hers. Y/n Black.
She couldn’t have appeared older than he was now. Fifteen.
Curiosity getting the best of him, Neville turned the page to read up more on the sisters. When he got to Y/n, Neville was shocked to learn the girl had been the youngest prisoner in Azkaban in its entire history. Aged fifteen, in her fifth year of Hogwarts. Juveniles were never sent to the hellish institution. Yet, due to the nature of her crimes and association to Voldermort, the Ministry bent laws to lock her up.
Reading the summary dedicated to her upbringing, Y/n had been sorted into Slytherin House at Hogwarts, skilled in Charms, and is alleged to be an Occulmens. It’s said she failed to return to Hogwarts during what would have been her fifth year. Not long after it was reported Y/n Black had been part of the group to torture esteemed Aurors Frank and Alice Longbottom to gain information on Voldermort. Alongside her sister, Bellatrix, her brother-in-law, his brother and Barty Crouch Jr. During her arrest and trial, Y/n insisted she’d been forced to use the curse for fear the others would kill her.
Which was true. Bellatrix made it clear to the young Black what the consequences for stepping out of line would be.
But it wasn’t enough in the Ministry’s eyes. Not when the other Death Eaters, Bellatrix included, testified Y/n had complied with no resistance. And so the first juvenile, the youngest Death Eater, was locked away in Azkaban. The sentence: eternity.
Now she was free.
Later that day, during DA practice, Neville found himself in front of the mirror showing pictures and news articles relating to their cause. The others saying goodbye and making their way out of the Room of Requirement. Neville, however, remained. His stare on the image of the original Order of the Phoenix. His parents.
Harry came up beside him, neither addressing the other at first. Then, after a moment of silence and confidence, Neville confided in his friend.
“Fourteen years ago, a Death Eater named Bellatrix Lestrange and her sister, Y/n Black, used the Cruciatus Curse on my parents. They tortured them for information, but they never gave in.” Looking down at Harry, Neville added after a pause, “I’m quite proud to be their son, but…I’m not sure I’m ready for everyone to know just yet.”
Harry nodded, understanding what his friend was asking of him. Swearing to secrecy. “We’re gonna make them proud, Neville. That’s a promise.”
The Hall of Prophecies was dark. Eerie. The only light emitting from the group's wands and orbs lightly glowing in their stands. The group had rushed to the Ministry upon Harry’s vision Sirius had been taken hostage by Voldemort, tortured into telling him where the prophecy was. They were in for a shock when they arrived.
Sirius wasn’t there. Neither was Voldemort.
It was Neville who alerted the boy of the glass orb dedicated to him. Grasping it in his hand, the voice of Sybil Trelawney echoed through the silence, “The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. And the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal but he shall have power the Dark Lord knows not…..and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives….”
“Harry!” he turned to his friends, finding them frozen as they stared at the figure approaching. Harry pushed past, standing in front of the group. The figure was masked by a silver face, cloaked from head to toe.
A Death Eater.
“Where’s Sirius?” Harry questioned him,his wand raised.
“You know you really should know how to tell the difference between dreams…..” the man removed his wand from a familiar cane, waving it in front of his face to remove the mask. Revealing none other than Lucius Malfoy. “And reality.” Everyone tensed, anxiety starting to consume them. “You saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see. Now hand me the prophecy.” Harry stood his ground.
“You do anything to us I’ll break it.”
Suddenly a maniacal laugh entered the scene. Intensifying their unease. The shadow of someone behind Lucius coming toward the dim lights. “He knows how to play. Itty. Bitty. Baby. Potter.” The group’s eyes landed on the face of one of the women plastered on every front page of the Daily Prophet. Neville was the first to address her.
“Bellatrix Lestrange.”
“Neville Longbottom, is it?” she mocked with a wicked smile, “How’s mom and dad?” Lucius rolled his eyes at her antics. Neville, however, was enraged.
“Better now that they’re about to be avenged.” In a split second he lifted his want, hoping to cast a spell on the one responsible for his parents torture. Harry was quick to stop him, just as Bellatrix raised her own wand to defend herself.
“Now let’s…” Lucius slowly held his hands up. “Everybody just calm down. Shall we?” The group lowered their wands slightly, but not completely. “All we want is that prophecy.”
Why did Voldermort need me to come get this?”
“You dare speak his name?” Bellatrix’s eyes widened, appalled by the boy’s courage. “You filthy Half-blood!!”
Again, Lucius attempted to de-escalate the scene, “It’s all right, he’s just a curious lad. Aren’t you?”
Before anyone spoke another word, footsteps from the side filled their ears. “You know what they say about curiosity?” her voice was raspy and void of any emotion. Almost robotic. Harry slowly turned his head, mentally preparing himself to face his Godfather’s youngest cousin. Beside him, Neville paled. Unable to comprehend being in the same room as the Black sisters. It was suffocating.
Y/n Black’s expression matched her tone. Numb. An empty shell was the best description. Not even reacting when Harry pointed his wand in her direction. She simply stalked toward them, finishing her riddle, “It killed the cat. But….something tells me you might be the lucky bastard to live to see it, Harry Potter.”
“Nice of you to finally join us, Y/n,” Lucius narrowed his eyes, watching her move so she was now in between the duo and group. Harry’s wand merely a few centimeters from her chest. The glowing light illuminating her face.
Comparing her to the portrait on the Black Family Tree, Harry noticed all the striking differences. Of course, nearly 15 years had passed since Y/n was locked away in Azkaban. Her baby fat completely gone, likely due from the malnourishment prison had to offer. However, unlike her sister Bellatrix and Sirius before them, Y/n did not come across as a walking corpse. Much time hadn’t passed since her escape, yet she looked healthy. Teeth white and hair silky. Nails long and painted black. Skin blemish free save for a tiny scar on her lip. She was strikingly beautiful.
Harry then remembered reading in the paper that Y/n was skilled in charms. Rumored to have created her own during her time at Hogwarts. She probably had one to alter her appearance. And considering Bellatrix looked rather unsettling, either Y/n did not offer her talent or Bellatrix refused. Judging by Y/n’s reaction to her associates, it was the former.
She ignored Lucius, answering Harry’s question instead, “Prophecies can only be retrieved by those about whom they are made. Which is lucky for you, really.” Her brow raised slightly, “Surely Sirius told you. He’d be foolish not when he knows the Dark Lord desires it.”
Backing away from Harry, Y/n turned on her heel, nudging Lucius with her shoulder causing him to groan. Focusing back on the task at hand, the blonde narrowed his eyes on Harry. “Haven’t you always wondered what was the reason for the connection between you and the Dark Lord?” He moved closer, hands still raised. It was then the group noticed more Death Eaters surrounding them. “Why he was unable to kill you when you were just an infant?”
Bellatrix trailed behind Lucius. Their associates closing in on the students. Meanwhile Y/n stayed behind, not bothering to engage. Harry caught her gaze a few times, noting how disinterested she was by the entire ordeal.
“Don’t you want to know the secret of your scar?” Lucius captured his attention once more. “All the answers are there. In your hand.” Lucius encouraged Harry with a look, “All you have to do is give it to me, and I can show you everything.”
“I’ve waited fourteen years,” Harry said, aware of the approaching footsteps of the Death Eaters getting louder. Waiting for the perfect moment.
“I know.”
“I guess I can wait a little longer--Now!!” Simultaneously, the group all shouted, “Stupefy!!”
After a brief fight against the Death Eaters to escape the Hall of Prophecies, the group found themselves falling to what they thought was their death. At the last second, Hermoine casted Arresto Momentum to slow time for them to safely land, grunting as their bodies met the rock. Scanning their surroundings, Harry spotted an archway with an iridescent glow to it. As he moved closer, voices were heard. “Voices, can you tell what they're saying?”
Confused, Hermoine replied with what they were all thinking, “There aren’t any voices, Harry. Let’s get out of here.”
“I hear them too,” Luna spoke, staring at the arch in wonder. It was difficult to hear clearly what the voices were saying. But they grew louder with each step.
“Harry,” Hermoine pleaded, “it’s just an empty archway.” In the distance, the group heard the Death Eaters approaching. “Please, Harry.” Harry spun around with his wand raised.
“Get behind me!” They followed his order, ready to confront the oncoming threat. They unfortunately, however, were blindsided when the Death Eaters in their black smokey form attacked from behind. Grunts and gasps left the teens, Harry dropping to the ground, clutching the prophecy in his hand. About 15 seconds passed before he opened his eyes to discover he was alone.
Dread consumed him, the boy standing to find his friends. He found them several feet away and spaced out. In the hands of Death Eaters. Ginny and Luna to his right, the Weasley girl gripped at the collar by Y/n Black. Neville struggles against Bellatrix Lestrange, Ron and Hermoine manhandled by the Lestrange brothers. A dry chuckle captured Harry’s attention, watching Lucius Malfoy stroll up to where he stood.
“Did you actually believe, or were you truly naive enough to think….children stood a chance against us?” Lucius made eye contact with the wicked smile of Bellatrix, whereas he met Y/n’s vicious glare. Her hold on Ginny wasn’t as tight as the others, almost like she didn’t view the girl as a threat.
“I’ll make this simple for you, Potter,” Lucius held out his hand. “Give me the prophecy now….or watch your friends die.” Harry looked at his friends, their frightened gazes making his heart fall to his stomach.
“Don’t give it to him, Harry!” Neville shouts, only to be hushed by Bellatrix, who snaps her wand from his head to his neck forcefully.
The Boy who Lived draws his eyes to the glowing prophecy. As if to be contemplating his choices, but deep down knew what he had to do. His friends were more important. He couldn’t risk their lives over a tiny orb. Slowly, he lifted his hand and placed the object in Lucius’s awaiting one. A satisfied smirk appears on the blonde’s lips. He had succeeded in his mission.
Or so he thought.
Bright light filled the area, Harry’s eyes widening as he took in the sight of Sirius behind Lucius. Malfoy’s expression turned to one of pure shock, meeting Sirius’s angry one.
“Get away from my Godson.” And before Lucius could react, he was falling to the ground from the force of Sirius’s right hook. More bright lights entered, members of the Order arriving. Tonks, Lupin, Kingsley, and Mad-Eye.
In the chaos, the prophecy was thrown from Lucius’ hand, shattering as it hit the ground in a cloud of blue-green smoke. The man was in disbelief, and fear at what consequences awaited him.
Beyond him, Y/n released her hold on Ginny Weasley, slightly pushing her away causing the girl to stumble off the rocks. At that moment she met Sirius’ eyes for the first time in nearly 20 years. Their last encounter when he ran from home at 16, and Y/n only 8.
She watched the horror appear on his face. Lingering with regret. She could see him fighting with himself on how to react, she too was fighting that battle. Tears threatened to spill from both their eyes, Y/n’s bottom lip quivering. Overwhelmed by the reunion.
Where they were on opposite sides.
His expression read, ‘I won’t fight you, cousin,” which was enough for the woman to turn on her heel and drop to the ground. Ignoring Sirius shouting her name, Y/n leaned against the rock, waiting for an opportunity to run. Above her Sirius and Harry were dueling Malfoy and Rabastan Lestrange. Bellatrix was being trailed in the air by their niece, Nymphadora Tonks, her diabolical laugh echoing against the walls.
A curse flew past her, hitting the rock causing Y/n to spin around where she met Lupin’s startled eyes. “Y/n….” the tone of his voice indicated he was surprised to see her. Likely assuming she’d been someone else. The werewolf always had a soft spot for the young Black. Thinking about the times she tagged along with them in Diagon Alley. Or when Sirius brought her to the Potter house and the two played with her in their animagi form to keep her entertained.
Now here she was with the enemy. A completely different person plagued with darkness. Lupin sighed, laced with despair, “Oh, love…what’ve they done to you?” Somehow that question was enough to send Y/n into a whirlpool of rage. How dare he say those words to her. When the Order had every opportunity to remove her from the Black household. When they could’ve placed her in hiding like James and Lily. Anything, to prevent the Death Eaters from claiming her.
“What you all failed to save me from.”
Before they knew it the two were dueling. Flashes of light leaving their wands, dodging those sent by the other. Despite Y/n spending half her life in prison with little combat experience under her belt, she was keeping up with Remus quite well. He noted the woman had yet to send a killing curse his way. Come to think of it, it appeared she was avoiding it all together. Unlike her associates who were not shy to use it.
“It doesn’t have to be this way, Y/n,” Remus attempted to convince her to yield. Ducking when she shot a curse at his head.
Scoffing, the woman spat, “Foolish for you to think such, Remus.” Her next attempt to get him away with a curse was more forceful, “I know how this dance between us ends, and I’d rather be sent to hell itself than be chained in Azkaban once more. So either man up and kill me, or turn away so I can get the hell out of here.”
Remus became conflicted, “You know I can’t do that.” He referred to both options. Not having the strength or heart to kill his best friend's niece whom he once adored. But also not allowing her to escape.
“Shame then,” she hissed, “I’ll try not to make this hurt.” After much struggle, where Remus had the upper hand in the dool, Y/n managed to send him flying back several feet, taking her chance to run to the nearest doorway.
“Avada Kedavra!!” Bellatrix’s voice made her feeze, turning around in time to see the green light hit their cousin straight in the chest.
It was as if time had stopped. All fighting ceased. Y/n heard a loud gasp--a scream, realizing moments later she was the one responsible for it. Hand raising to cover her mouth. Frozen as she watched Sirius fall back into the archway. Disappearing forever.
The silence was then interrupted by Harry’s wails. Held by Remus, he fought against him as though he wanted to join his Godfather. Y/n remained still. Processing what just happened.
Sirius was dead. Her sister killed him.
Y/n had to get out of there. No doubt the Aurors were alerted. They’d be arriving any second.
Witnessing Harry take off after Bellatrix, Y/n met Remus’ eyes. The man silently pleading to her, completely distraught over the death of his best friend. With James and Sirius dead and Peter’s betrayal to Voldemort, he was alone.
Y/n shook her head, unable to face him any longer. Instead of running into the main lobby of the Department of Ministries, the Death Eater looked up and allowed the black smoke to consume her, flying away from the Order. Her associates followed suit.
When the Minister and Aurors entered the lobby to the horrifying scene, they understood the future became plagued with an unavoidable truth.
The night officially marked the beginning of the Second Wizarding War.
Rain pelted against the ground, falling from the gray clouds painting the sky. Strolling down alleyways of London, three sisters in black were on a mission to locate a certain home. Hiding behind corners whenever cars and people passed by. The one leading the trio was the reason for this side quest. Meanwhile the one falling back voiced opposition. For the youngest in the middle, she was rather bored. Not caring what would come out of this meeting.
If Y/n were honest, she just hated getting her outfit soaked.
“Cissy, you can’t do this,” Bellatrix hissed, trailing after her sisters. “He can’t be trusted.”
“The Dark Lord trusts him,” Naricssa rebutted, not sparing her a glance. Y/n simply rolled her eyes.
“The Dark Lord’s mistaken.”
“Shhh,” Y/n interrupted. While she may agree with Bellatrix to some degree, she knew better than to question his judgment aloud. Anyone could be lurking.
Children’s laughter filled their ears, the sisters leaning against the brick walls until they passed. Once clear, they turned the corner and knocked on the door. Waiting for him to answer.
Instead of Snape, the trio were greeted by Wormtail--who was visibly surprised to see them on the steps of Snape’s home. Y/n gave one death glare to the man and he immediately opened the door fully to let them inside. Water droplets fell from their coats, Y/n waved her wand to dry herself, feeling satisfied with a low ‘hmm’.
Wormtail escorted them to the library, where Snape sat in a chair reading the Daily Prophet. Folding the paper, the sisters were greeted by his blank stare. “Run along, Wormtail.” With a flick of his wrist Wormtail was pushed out, door slamming in his face. Y/n smirked, overlooking Snape with a raised brow.
He matched her gaze, the two in silent conversation. Like they each had their secrets the other knew of…
In that moment Y/n thought back to the moment she and Snape reunited after her escape from Azkaban. Neither were fools to the other's facade. Both able to mask it with their talents in both Legilimency and Occlumency.
“I know your true intentions, Severus. You are not part of his cause anymore and haven’t been for fifteen years. Do not stand there and lie to me, I don’t take kindly to liars.”
“Make no mistake then, Y/n, you also have motives not aligned with the Dark Lord. You do not care who wins this battle, only that your freedom is the outcome. He’d not take kindly to your…..deception.”
“Then I guess this means you and I….have a lot to lose if we are not careful. I’ll say no word. I expect you to do the same.”
“You have yourself a deal.”
Wine was poured, Y/n and Narcissa seated in chairs while Snape and Bellatrix remained standing. The eldest sister pacing along the fireplace. Narcissa was the first to speak, “I-I-I know I am not to be here,” Pausing she shot Y/n a hesitant look, which was ignored. “The Dark Lord, himself, forbade me to speak of this--.”
“If the Dark Lord has forbidden it, you are not to speak--but it down, Bella, we mustn’t touch what isn’t ours,” Annoyed, the woman placed the object back on the mantel. Giving Snape a look of, ‘there, happy?’ He turned back to Narcissa, “As it so happens, I’m aware of your situation, Narcissa.”
“You?” Bellatrix narrowed her eyes, “The Dark Lord told you.”
Snape briefly glanced at Y/n, “Your sister doubts me.” The woman smirked.
“She doubts everyone,” she felt Bellatrix’s glare, paying no mind. “It’s not personal.”
“Understandable. Over the years I’ve played my part well--so well I’ve deceived one of the greatest wizards of all time.” Y/n sipped her wine to hide the smirk on her face.
For she knew exactly who he was referring to.
Unlike Bellatrix who simply snorted. Snape dismissed her remark, “Dumbledore is a great wizard. Only a fool would question it.”
Y/n examined her wine, acting like it was the most curious thing in the room. Rather bored by the conversation and Snape’s persistence of convincing her sisters of his motives. Bellatrix obviously had her suspicions. Narcissa, however, took the bait.
“I don’t doubt you, Severus.”
“You should be honored, Cissy,” Bellatrix told her. “As should Draco.” Of course her deranged self would see it that way. 16 year-old Draco tasked with the difficult mission to assassinate Dumbledore at Hogwarts. Punishment for Lucius for failing Voldemort too many times. The most recent being the damn prophecy he was to fetch.
Y/n couldn’t help but feel smug at the Malfoys predicament. Lucius deserved all he got. And while Narcissa may have been her sister, Y/n harbored enough anger and resentment to not feel sympathy for her. Draco was the only one innocent in the matter.
Narcissa’s face fell at Bellatrix’s words, pleading to Snape with her eyes, “He’s just a boy.”
“I cannot change the Dark Lord’s mind,” that was true. Nothing could alter Voldermort’s decision once it was made. Snape did have an idea, “But it might be possible for me to help Draco.”
That was enough for Narcissa. The woman rising from her seat, “Severus--.” She was cut off by Bellatrix.
“Swear to it. Make the unbreakable vow.” She moved toward them, circling Severus as her tone turned to mockery, “It’s just empty words.” Now Narcissa’s face read she wanted the same. Bellatrix continued, “He’ll give it his best, but when it matters most,” her chin rested on his shoulder, whispering in his ear. “He’ll just slither back into his hole. Coward,” she ended as she passed him.
Y/n stared at her associate, watching his reaction carefully. It was obvious the insult poked deep in his core. Though Snape did not let it show.
“Take out your wand.”
The sisters were pleased. Visibly showing this as they looked at each other. Y/n stood from her chair, moving closer as Narcissa and Snape held each other's wrists. Bellatrix withdrew her wand, allowing the glowing strands to encompass their hands.
“Will you, Severus Snape, watch over Draco Malfoy as he attempts to fulfill the Dark Lord’s wishes?”
“I will.”
Water glossed over Narcissa’s eyes, Bellatrix continued, “And will you, to the best of your abilities,” her chin rested this time on Narcissa’s shoulder, the two staring him down like a hawk. Y/n sipped her glass, leaning her head against Narcissa’s other shoulder, smirking slightly at the scene. “Protect him from harm?”
“I will.”
Bellatrix walked so she was directly in front of Snape, “And, if Draco should fail…will you yourself, carry out the deed the Dark Lord has ordered Draco to perform?” The pause was longer, Narcissa practically shaking making Y/n move away.
Finally, Snape made the last vow, “I will.”
The glowing strands disappeared, leaving scars on the two. A permanent reminder of the promise made. To protect Draco from harm and finish the job if it came to it.
Otherwise, the Devil would visit Snape earlier than planned.

"you are now allowed to leave." voldemort announced. "do not forget, bellatrix, that you and the lestrange brother ought to attack friday."
"yes, my lord." bellatrix bowed respectfully, and she and the two brothers left in silence, after they pulled up the cloak of their robes.
the people in the room disappeared quickly enough, besides regulus black and peter pettigrew.
as he saw peter getting up from his chair, his wand in his hand, regulus reached deep in his pocket and pulled his own out.
"expelliarmus!" he shouted, and peter's wand flew through the air straight in regulus' hand, who put it in his pocket.
peter looked at him strangely, like he'd lost his mind. "what came over you?" he asked, his watery eyes fixated on the man in front of him.
"i know who you are, peter alexander pettigrew," he said coldly. "and you're pathetic. where's that loyalty to the 'right cause' you talked about on your last ride on the hogwarts express?" regulus asked, cocking his eyebrow.
"i- i don't know what you're talking about, regulus..." peter said, backing off slowly, and he hit his leg in the table that merely minutes ago, the death eaters sat at.
"you know very well what i'm talking about." the younger man said, pointing his wand to peter's large chest. "all the train heard you, and the 'loyalty' towards your friends and dumbledore."
regulus stepped closer to peter, who bent backwards over the table. "you're stupid, pettigrew. i'd kill you myself, now, but it's not worth it. it's not worth it, staining my hands with the blood of someone this pathetic."
regulus backed off and looked at peter. "the order's going to find out soon that they have a spy among them, and they'll hear your name."
"you're going to tell them?" peter said, a smile spreading wide on his face. "and you think they're going to believe you to me? who do you think they're going to trust, the death eater or their best friend, who won their heart and the person who they believe in?" peter continued, walking around regulus.
"i'm sure sirius-" the younger one said, making a pause. "i'm sure sirius would believe me..."
"but would he really?" peter said on a mocking tone, like he'd be talking to a baby, staring into regulus' soul. "he hates that family, black. he hates you, all of you!" he laughed.
"you'll see." regulus straightened his back. "you'll see they're going to realize. and it's going to be the checkmate for you, pettigrew."
"oh, but they're my pawns." peter said, smiling viciously.

groomspeak || RodAnt
@viciousvisage
“Well it was about time Bella made an honest man out of you,” Antonin smirked, clapping Rodolphus on the shoulder as he came up from behind. It had taken the better part of an hour, but he had finally managed to catch the groom alone. Which was far less time than it had taken this wedding to come about.
“What has it been twelve years?” he asked. He would have said something about Rod finally sealing the deal, but he knew that had happened with Bellatrix long ago. She had insatiable appetites for a great many things, did their Bella.
“Seems like it must have taken that long just to plan all of this.” Antonin gestured to the room at large. He had an eye for detail, and could see all the extra care and effort that had been put into decorations, fabrics, and clothing. While he might have the patience for it when it came to things he was interested in, he knew that if the time ever came, he would be having someone else plan his wedding.
“Here,” he said, thrusting the extra glass of scotch towards his friend. “Have you been heartily congratulated by all yet?”

errand enacted // Rodolphus
@viciousvisage
Despite Amelia’s work centring around the Auror Department, she was interested in the workings of many different offices within the Ministry. The Wizengamot was one of them. It was the core of their justice system, and Amelia wanted to learn more about it, now that she had managed to not only get her foot in the door of the Ministry, but retain her position there.
Justice.
It had a good ring to it. But Amelia wanted to learn more about the laws, and whether justice really did have a part in their system. She spent some of her her free time reading through case files, and laws, eager to learn more. The Sorting Hat had considered putting Amelia in Ravenclaw due to her love of knowledge and learning, but her work ethic and staunch loyalty to those she loved had won out. Merlin only knew how the Sorting Hat could have decided such a thing when she was 11, but who was she to question centuries of tradition?
She was Amelia Bones, but that was beside the point. One institution at a time.
Today, she had been asked to deliver a file to one of the Wizengamot members. She was happy to do it, in that it got her away from her desk, and down a few floors to the busy offices. Earlier in her career, she may have bristled at being asked to play errand girl. But this was a favour for a friend in the department, and she knew it was not a request made to belittle or demean her. Amelia had shown that she would not stand for such long ago, while at the same time ingratiated herself gracefully with others, indicating she was always willing to help out a friend. She was a little apprehensive at having to approach Rodolphus Lestrange, though.
Squaring her shoulders, Amelia made sure her posture was as correct as ever. She walked through the halls of the Ministry with confidence and composure at all times. It was what her parents would have expected of her, and what she demanded of herself. Hide everything, nerves, fears, excitement.
Seeing him walking down the hall, Amelia quickened her pace, high heels tapping on the floor. “Mr. Lestrange?” she called out. “I have a file for you.”

CHAPTER MASTERLIST
Chapter Forty-Five:
When I wake in the morning, my body feels stiff. I shift, my brain slowly reconnecting as if it were fucking dial-up internet. There’s an arm around me, a body pressed up against my back – a living, breathing warmth trapped underneath the duvet.
I open my eyes, taking in the bedside table. The Return of the King is split open page side own. The sun coming through the window above it glints the gold embossing of the letters. When I spy a glass of water, my mouth suddenly feels like a desert.
I try pushing myself up onto my elbow, my arm reaching for the glass, but Thomus’ grip around my middle tightens. He pulls me back, grumbling something about “just a little bit longer”.
“I’m thirsty,” I justify, loosening his hold by pulling on his wrist. He lets me go, sighing heavily and rolling away.
When I’ve downed nearly half the glass, he takes it from me to finish it off. I don’t bother to wait for him to finish, and duck back under the duvet, settling on my back. He sets the empty glass down on the other bedside table while I stretch, arms above my head, toes pointed. Thomus saddles up right next to me again, arm stretched across my stomach, hand drifting down my hip. His head is right next to mine, too, just over my shoulder. I can’t even turn my head without shoving my nose into his eye.
I keep my eyes on the ceiling, thinking about last night. I’d been so exhausted, but I hadn’t wanted to sleep. After he’d looked at me like that, I didn’t want it to end. I’d shoved my insecurities aside and let my monkey brain take over. I had wanted him to fuck me one more time, and after sucking his dick, he’d been ready to. I didn’t even have to beg. After fucking for the third time last night, we’d both barely made it under the covers before passing out.
I think I feel a little bit better after some sleep. I still feel on edge, nervous, waiting for the inevitable, but not on the verge of crying anymore.
His hand is travelling back and forth from my hip to where my breast has pooled down my side. For as big as my boobs are, I’m practically flat-chested when I lie down. Occasionally his thumb brushes my nipple as he caresses my side. My hands curl around his arm. After a few moments I find the courage to speak. I want answers more than I am afraid.
“So, what was that last night?” I ask, my voice soft.
He takes a deep breath. “What do you mean?” His voice sounds dry from disuse, sleepy, hot as fuck.
“The, um, all the sex.”
“Well, I had to give you what you wanted, didn’t I?” he says, his tone accusatory and annoyed.
“What I wanted?”
Thomus sighs heavily, and pushes away from me, turning onto his back. He throws his arm over his eyes. I turn towards him, duvet pulled up to my chin and held firmly in place by my hands.
“Goldman, I suppose is one thing, with him being American and all,” he fumes. “But frankly I’m appalled you let Lestrange touch you.”
At first I don’t know what to say. I feel guilty, but I know that I shouldn’t.
“I didn’t choose to be in that situation,” I calmly point out. Rodolphus had been thrilling initially, but everything he said didn’t fall on deaf ears. “Honestly, I’m glad you intervened when you did.”
He scoffs and shakes his head. He removes his arm from his eyes and rubs his hands down his face. “Right.”
“No, I mean it,” I press. “He hit me and – “ under the duvet, my fingers drift along the scars on my forearm “– said he wanted to give me scars, too.” I’m staring at his shoulder, recalling what else Rodolphus had said. It makes my breath come faster and my chest tighten. When I look up at Thomus, he’s looking right back at me. “Are you really going to put me in a dog house?”
His eyebrows come together as he frowns. “No,” he murmurs after a moment.
I close my eyes and sigh with relief, turning my face down to press my face against his shoulder. I can say a lot about Thomus, but he’s never hit me. And yes, I know the bar is on the fucking floor.
Thomus shifts onto his side, facing me. His fingers tip my chin up and his lips meet mine. His kiss feels familiar now, comforting. I pull away before I get too swept up in it and turn onto my back again. He follows, moving closer until he can press his cheek on the front of my shoulder. His hand drifts over my hip again.
I remain still, knowing my next line of questioning could turn into another argument. One that could ruin this.
“So, what’s the reason this time?” I ask, my voice wavering.
“Hm?” he hums, his palm caressing my tummy below my belly button.
“Must’ve been a hell of a lust potion if you fucked me three times yesterday and you’re still –“ I stop when his head pops up, his expression angry, but then I continue before he can. “I just want to know what’s changed.”
“It’s what you wanted,” he bites out. “You just wanted to get fucked so badly, didn’t you?” His hand comes up to press against my throat. His face is a mere breath away from mine. “If anyone’s going to fuck you, it’s going to be me, do you understand?”
Everything he said while fucking me against the wall comes rushing back to me. “But that doesn’t make sense –“
“None of this makes sense, Melisa,” Thomus seethes. “All I know is that the very thought of you with another man makes me want to –“
“Okay okay,” I breathe, my hands coming up to caress his face. “I’m sorry.”
The anger leaves his face, replaced by confusion. “For what?”
My thumb rubs circles over his cheeks, swiping under his eyes. He’s so handsome. “For making you jealous,” I whisper. “I wasn’t trying to, but that’s what happened.”
The hand on my throat, while never really tight, loosens. His eyebrows have come together, his eyes never leaving my face. “What were you trying to do?”
My breaths turn shallower, my heart beating wildly under his hand. I press my lips together and shake my head.
I’d been trying to forget him and all the pain he’s made me feel. It’s barely been two fucking weeks since we fucked for the first time. So much has happened. Too much has happened.
Fuck, George is still in the attic.
Sure, I could tell him how I feel, but what good is it going to do? He’s just going to use it against me. Just because he’s jealous doesn’t mean he’ll reciprocate. He feels possessive because I’m just an object to him. There’s no way he’ll… feel anything. I shouldn’t even be feeling what I do. It shouldn’t hurt so much.
Eyes closed, he turns his head to place kisses on my palm, lingering, languid kisses.
“I just want to know what’s changed,” I whisper again. “For… this to happen.”
His eyes flutter open, his lips still pressed into my palm. For a moment his gaze isn’t focused and I can’t read his expression.
“Nothing’s changed,” he murmurs against my skin.
Disappointment sits heavy in my chest. He removes my hands from his face, lying back down next to me. His lips meet mine and he kisses me until I’m breathless.
“Enough talk,” he says, his voice gruff. Then he kisses me again. “I wanna fuck you again before I have to go.”
My hands find their way into his hair and his hand travels to my legs. He pushes roughly at one, forcing my thighs apart. His hand immediately cups me, fingers pressing in, circling, teasing me. His fingers slip between my quickly dampening lips, toying with my entrance before finding my clit.
I release a high-pitched sigh, my hips rolling. My lips part from his and I shove my face into his neck, licking and lapping at him. My other hand travels down his body to find him already semi-hard. I grip him tightly and start gliding over his smooth, hot skin. It doesn’t take long for his full size to greet me, a drop of pre-cum leaking from his tip.
He slips two fingers inside and I moan, biting into his neck. He groans, his fingers working expertly over my g-spot, thumb pressing in on my throbbing clit. My hips start to rock and while I can still think clearly, I bite him again and pump my hand. His hips jolt, his cock twitching. His fingers slip ever deeper into my dripping pussy.
His head falls forward and he kisses up my collar to my neck. I turn my face up to give him access. He wastes no time finding a spot he wants to sink his teeth into. High up on my neck, right below my jaw. He sucks and licks at the spot until it’s sensitive. I whimper as his hand gets more aggressive. My feet plant on the bed to lift my hips, returning each thrust of his fingers. His mouth finds another suction point, barely parting from the other spot, and does the same thing.
“Fuck fuck fuck,” I gasp. My whole body is wonderfully tense, desperate for the moment he’ll drive me over the edge. His hips are pumping into the tight grip I have on his cock. My fingers twist in his soft beautiful hair.
The third spot he bites into is right over my pulse. My orgasm breaks right then, back arching, head thrown back against the pillows. My body freezes, awash in the waves of pleasure, before I melt.
I loosen the unintentional death grip I have on his cock and he releases my neck. Instantly I can feel how sore it already is, given how hard he bit me. He pulls back, a smug smile curling his pink lips.
“I think you enjoyed that,” Thomus murmurs. I’m panting, brainless, and all I can do is nod. He slides his fingers out of me and brings them to his mouth, making me watch as he thoroughly cleans off my cum. His eyes travel down the rest of my body and he hums, “Turn over.”
I untangle myself from him and roll onto my stomach. He’s gotten up onto his knees and he straddles my thighs. I feel his cock heavy on my ass as his hands explore my backside. They knead and prod, caressing the curves and width. When he grips my cheeks and pulls them apart, I shove my hips up.
“Fuck,” I hear him gasp. His fingers circle the entrance to my pussy, dipping inside to wet them. With this angle, just the two fingers are a tight fit.
I let out a gasp when I feel one of his wet fingers circle my asshole.
“Have you ever done anything here?” he inquires. “Would you want to?”
“Um,” I hesitate. The only time I’d ever experimented with that hole I’d consequently had the least sexy experience of my life. “I like it teased, but that’s about it.”
“Ah,” he hums again, not displeased thankfully. “I can work with that.” He continues massaging my ass for a few moments before sliding off my thighs. “On your knees.”
I push my ass up, getting my knees under me. He quickly slides behind me, legs over mine. I wait with baited breath, elbows bent beneath me, cheek pressed into the mattress. With a hand on my hip, he guides his tip to my entrance and pushes in. One slow thrust and he’s seated fully, bottoming out. I let out a tortured noise from deep in my throat.
“Fuck,” he groans. I circle my hips, begging for movement. It feels like the position against the wall, but deeper, far deeper.
Hands gripping my fleshy hips, he starts to pull out and thrust back in. Each stroke turns my brain into utter mush. No coherent thoughts. Only the need for his cock to keep doing what it’s doing to me.
I push back into him with every thrust, the force of our skin hitting sending waves across my back. If I wasn’t so far removed I’d feel self-conscious about it. I hear the sloppy wet noises my pussy is making and I forget all about it.
Eventually he gets the idea to just stay still, letting me rock back against him. Impaling myself with his cock over and over again. Balancing on one hand, I shove my other down between my legs, bending around the curve of my hanging body. I shift my hips to get my fingers on my clit, but he slips out. He pushes in again and my back arches down, and I can’t reach anymore.
Frustration burns in ears and I shove myself back onto my hands, pushing myself back against him with more force.
“Fuck me, Thomus,” I plead. The desperation makes me sound demanding, so I add, “Please.”
“Just what I was fucking waiting to hear,” he growls and starts fucking me again.
He thrusting harder than before, maybe a little faster, and it’s so good I forget about my frustrations. My body is tense like I’m on the brink of another orgasm, but this feels so different, so fucking good.
His thrusts become erratic and he groans, suddenly stilling. My pussy feels fuller than it did before and when he pulls out, all of our cum erupts down my thighs. His hands are on my ass cheeks, pulling them apart. I peak over my shoulder to see him staring at it.
When he releases me, he chuckles. “I’ve sure made a mess of you, haven’t I?”
I straighten my body out, feeling utterly exhausted. He collapses next to me, just as out of breath as I am. I saddle up closer, and he immediately raises his arm to drape it around my shoulders as I rest my head on his chest.
After a moment, he reaches down and squeezes an ass cheek again. “I’m definitely going to miss that,” he says. His hand glides up my back, fingers drifting through my hair.
“Well, I’ll be here when you get back tonight,” I murmur.
He sighs heavily. “I’m going to be gone longer than that I’m afraid.”
“Oh,” I say, trying not to sound disappointed. I put my arm around his waist, curling myself closer. “Can I ask where?”
He pauses, considering. “I suppose I can tell you. Em, Draco and I have to go to Italy.”
“Oh, that’s a lot farther than you usually go, right?”
“Yes, Nott convinced the Dark Lord to give me a break from hunting Weasley. There hasn’t been a sighting in a couple weeks.” He laughs once, humorless. “Rabastan tried convincing me that he’s dead.”
At the mention of George, I try to remain calm. Deep breaths. Pretend nothings amiss. Keep asking questions.
“Do you think he is?” I ask hesitantly.
“Honestly, I don’t know,” he sighs. “I think it’ll be good to get out of the country and focus on something other than tracking.”
“How did you get to be such a good tracker? Is it hard?”
“For some.” His fingers start tracing patterns onto my back. “It’s about finding and understanding the clues that people leave. Knowing how to follow from one clue to the next.”
“Is that why you like mystery novels?”
Thomus chuckles. “Yes, I suppose so.”
“Is it like being an investigator for the Daily Prophet?”
“It’s a similar skillset, yes,” he answers. “It’s another reason why I’m going. They’ve just installed a new Prime Minister and the Dark Lord wants me to oversee a content transition of La Penna Di Venezia, the main Italian paper.”
“Hm,” I murmur. My hand comes up from his waist, fingers toying with his chest hair. “Need a photographer?”
I don’t know what made me offer, but it’s worth a shot.
“Do you speak Italian?” he asks after a moment.
I sigh heavily. “The only language class I took for high school and college was American Sign Language. So, no.” He laughs again and I huff, “Do you?”
“Devo paragonarti a un giorno d'estate?” he murmurs and I absolutely melt hearing his deep voice in my ear. “Tu sei più bella e più temperata. Finché gli uomini possono respirare, o gli occhi possono vedere, così a lungo vive questo, e questo d vita a te.” He pauses. “Other than those few lines, I only know it conversationally.”
I snort. “Well, if it sounds like that I’m sure you’ll do just fine. What did you say?”
He doesn’t answer and I push myself up onto my elbow to look at him. He’s smirking.
“I think I’ll keep that to myself.”
Not really thinking about it, my lip juts out in a pout. “Oh, come on.”
His eyes have dropped to my mouth. “Not a chance.” He leans forward and kisses me, tongue sweeping through my mouth and tracing my lips. All too soon, he parts, sighing. “Come on, we have to go.”
I sit up. “We? You’re letting me go with you?”
He’s sat up, too, legs over the edge of the bed. He looks back at me sheepishly. “Not quite. I’m taking you to the Manor.”
I blink. “Wait, so how long will you be gone?”
“Two, probably three weeks,” he replies. “I know you have that cat, but I figured you didn’t want to be alone for all that time.”
“Um, yeah,” I say slowly, my brain whirring. I start moving towards the other side of the bed, closer to the bathroom. “I need to shower.”
Before I shed the duvet from myself, I turn back to him to see he’s stood up, naked, rummaging through his wardrobe. Fuck, fuck, fuck… he’s like a god.
“Wait, did you leaving have something to do with the sex magic you were trying to do last night?”
He bonks his head on the hanger rod inside the wardrobe as he spins to face me. “What?” he asks, rubbing the new sore spot. “Sex magic?”
A blush blooms across my face. “Yeah, last night. When – when you were rubbing our… stuff, and saying whatever it was. I couldn’t really hear you.”
Confusion on his face quickly shifts to realization, and I see red creep up his neck. “No, it wasn’t sex magic,” he snaps.
“Then what was it?”
Thomus sighs heavily, waving his hand vaguely towards the bathroom. “Oh, go on then, off with your shower.”
With his back turned once again, I dash into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.
~*~
After my shower, he brought me a trunk. It’s black with silver embellishments. A silver snake is etched on top and initials that I assume are his, T.M., are bolded on the side.
I ponder the stack of vinyl leaning against the wall. The trunk might just be wide enough to fit the record player.
“I wouldn’t bother,” Thomus says to me from the bathroom. He’s standing in front of the mirror, running a damp comb through his hair. “There’s no electricity at the Manor.”
I sigh. “Good God… No wonder the Malfoy’s breed Death Eaters. Y’all aren’t living in the 21st Century.”
With nothing left to pack, I close the trunk, enjoying the feel of clicking the clocks into place.
My gaze flashes to the bedside table, remembering something in the drawers. I go and pull out the hook shaped rock he’d found for me. It feels like it’s been ages since the time we spent in the creek.
“Ready?” Thomus asks.
I quickly turn, shoving the rock into my pocket. “Yup.”
“The elves will get your trunk after we leave,” he says, turning to go down stairs. I follow him to the living room.
As Thomus preps the fireplace for the Floor, I glance towards the utility room where I’d left a note for Caelan and George, explaining where I was going and for how long. I’d also told them about Kyle Goldman, asking that they’d let him know, too. I’d explained I’d probably have similar, if not more, freedoms there than I do here. So with any luck, I’ll still be able to be contacted.
Thomus brings my attention back to him by grabbing my arm, saying the location, and pulling us through the mantle. The green flames flash at my vision and we come to a stop in the familiar Manor entrance hall.
Narcissa’s waiting for us. She smiles at me and brings my hands into hers. “Melisa, dear, it’s going to be lovely to have you staying with us.” She looks to Thomus, who’s still standing near the fireplace. “Draco’s at the gate waiting for you, Thomus. Please take care of yourself, and keep an eye on Draco.”
“Of course,” he murmurs, giving her a small smile.
When he doesn’t move, Narcissa picks up on something I hadn’t, her eyes jumping between the two of us. She drops my hands and starts backing away.
“If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be right back,” she says, disappearing behind a corner.
The moment she’s gone, Thomus steps forward, slipping an arm around my waist. He pulls me close, dipping his chin to place a kiss to my crown. He smells good, which is strange after all the sex we had. He smells like his usual cedar and pine, but a undertone of… musk? Whatever it is, it reminds me of said sex, what he smelled like panting above me.
I can’t remember the last time I had a hug, so I slip my arms around his waist. His hands cradle my face, tilting it upward so he can place his lips on mine.
The kiss makes me fucking sad. Ugh. I hate goodbyes.
“Oh, um, here,” I say, pulling back from his kiss to dig into my pocket. I grab his hand and put the rock into his palm. “I don’t know if it’s any luck, but it’s cool, so that’s something.”
Realizing what it is, he starts shaking his head. “No, it’s yours, I –“
“I know,” I shrug awkwardly, not meeting his eyes. “All the more reason to bring it back. You can use it as a paper weight or something.”
My hands hold onto his closed fist, feeling reluctant to let go.
“Thank you,” he says. I still don’t want to look at him. It’s just going to make me cry. He leans forward, placing anther kiss on my temple. I let go of his hand and step back.
He turns and I watch him walk away.

Wand Description/Picture: Cedar, Dragon Heartstring, 13 inches
[Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.]

The Last Dream of my Soul pt. 5 (R.L.)
Hello!!! The newest part has arrived and i hope you all enjoy it! Also. I am aware that hippogriffs are a third year lesson but pleaseeeee just pretend it makes sense...
Pairing: Remus Lupin x Reader
Summary: The very bookish (Y/n) has spent most of her life alone, aside from her best friends Lily and her beloved books. But when the infamous Marauders get thrust into her life, how could she resist the beautiful and unattainable Remus.
Warnings: Angst
Word Count: 2.2k
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
The two weeks at home were rough. As excited as you were to return to the place that you grew up, you soon came to the realization that Hogwarts and the wizarding world were your true home. As much as you loved your parents and the creaky floor of your old bedroom, you couldn’t help but feel entirely out of place. And as much as your parents loved you, they could never understand you.
But still, you enjoyed Christmas dinner and watching your old favorite shows on the television. Despite this though, you were near tears every night when you thought of your friends and the old castle walls of your school. You missed them immensely.
You were at a great disadvantage as you did not own an owl. Luckily, your friends sent plenty of letters, and you held their birds hostage until you could scribble out a response.
You received the most letters from Lily. She related to your feelings of feeling out of place in the muggle world. It was made worse for her by her sister, Petunia. Petunia was jealous of Lily to a near disturbing extent. It made your best friend’s time at home miserable.
You received one letter from Peter on Christmas. It was a simple letter that mostly just wished you a happy holiday, but nevertheless, it made you smile.
From Sirius and James, you received joint letters as they were both staying at the Potter’s house for Christmas. The letters detailed all of the mischief they got up to and they never failed to make you laugh. You’d always send back a letter reprimanding them but also subtly egging them on.
Remus’s letters were your favorite. He wrote to you relatively often, describing his family and what he was reading. You did the same, raving about the book that he had gifted you. You loved the way he wrote his letters. It was almost like poetry. You weren’t surprised though. How could someone spend their whole life reading and not have a way with words?
But despite the comfort that the letters brought you, you couldn’t help but wish that the words could be spoken in person instead.
But soon enough the time came for you to return to your real home and greet your chosen family. In a flurry of brotherly hugs and high pitched squeals, you said hello to Lily and the marauders with a grin stretched ear to ear.
As excited as you were to return to Hogwarts, the return to lessons was less exciting. Soon, you were once again drowning in school work and waiting for a chance to breathe. Classes were beginning to pick up and become more challenging, and you were doing your best to scrape by.
“Hey (Y/n),” Sirius said, catching your attention as you walked to your care for magical creatures class.
“Yes, Sirius?” you inquired.
“Have you finished the transfiguration essay yet?” he asked. You smirked at him.
“Are you asking because you’re curious or because you want to copy it?” you asked teasingly. Sirius groaned.
“Oh sod off (Y/n),” he retorted, shoving your shoulder. You yelped as he d pushedyou a tad too hard and braced yourself, preparing to hit the ground. Instead, you felt strong hands grab your arm.
“You okay?” Remus asked as he helped you steady yourself.
“Yeah I’m fine,” you said breathlessly, your arm burning from his touch. You sent the concerned boy a quick smile before turning to face Sirius. You punched him quickly in the shoulder.
“Ow!” he exclaimed, rubbing his arm.
“That’s what you get for assaulting me,” you retorted and you heard Remus chuckle from your left.
“Yeah yeah I’m sorry,” Sirius said, waving his hands in the air. You smiled, satisfied, and skipped the rest of the way to class.
When you arrived at the forbidden forest Professor Kettleburn stopped the group at the edge of the woods.
“Now students, we have a very special lesson today,” he explained to your peers. You danced on your toes in excitement. You loved care for magical creatures, enough to take it in your N.E.W.T.S years, and you were excited at the prospect of an exciting lesson. Sirius shifted impatiently on his toes, having only taken the course for an easy E, while Remus smiled at your antics.
“Today we will be in the presence of one of our realms' most compelling creatures,” Professor Kettleburn continued mysteriously. A smile spread its way across your face as you waited for him to reveal the creature. Professor Kettleburn led his herd of students into the forest, pausing a few paces in. He pushed back a branch of a large, sweeping tree, to reveal a herd of creatures. You felt your mouth drop open in astonishment. You turned to Remus, a wide smile adorning our features.
“Hippogriffs,” you whispered excitedly. Remus smiled at you, nodding in affirmation.
Professor Kettleburn walked to stand before the class.
“The hippogriff is an incredibly unique creature. Its front half bears the resemblance of an eagle, while it’s back half is one of a horse. The hippogriff’s closest relative is the griff, a creature that is half lion and half horse. The Hippogriff is also an especially proud creature. Can anyone tell me the proper etiquette for greeting such an animal?” the professor asked. You did not hesitate to shoot your hand into the air.
“Yes, Miss (L/n),” he said, calling on you.
“When approaching a hippogriff, the proper thing to do is to bow and wait for the hippogriff to do the same. You wait for the creature to approach you, and you must maintain eye contact,” you explained, almost reciting the textbook exactly.
“Very good,” the professor replied with a smile. Professor Kettleburn rambled on for a few more minutes, describing the deity habits and the ideal habitats for hippogriffs. You excitedly listened to him, soaking up every bit of knowledge that you could. You could hear some boys in your year laughing, mocking your professor’s eccentric habits, and you turned to glare at them. The group’s ringleader, Rodolphus Lestrange, turned and glared back at you, sending you an unflattering gesture.
Eventually, Professor Kettleburn clapped his hands together and stopped talking.
“Now,” he began, “who would like to be the first to greet the hippogriff?” Your hand immediately went up, waving back and forth through the air. You heard Sirius and Remus laugh at your behavior from either side of you.
“Okay Miss (L/n), please step forward,” the professor said as he motioned you towards him. He gave you a quick rundown of how you were to approach the creature, before sending you off with a quick pat on the shoulder.
You approached the creature and admired its beauty. It's gorgeous storm grey coat glistened under the late afternoon sun and its eyes were a brilliant shade of orange. You stopped about six feet in front of the creature before bowing, maintaining strong eye contact the entire time. After a beat, the hippogriff bowed as well. You smiled widely as you stood, awestruck by the creature before you. You stepped forward with your hand outstretched.
“Hello, you beautiful creature,” you spoke softly. The hippogriff leaned towards your hand before nuzzling his beak into it. You caressed his beak and gently carded your hands through its feathers. After a few minutes, Professor Kettleburn ushered you back. You reluctantly bowed to the creature before scurrying back to your friends.
When you returned, Sirius patted you on the back.
“Good job (Y/n). I would’ve been scared the thing was going to rip me to shreds,” he said. You shook your head at him.
“Oh come on, it’s a gentle creature,” you said. Remus grimaced from beside you.
“Yeah but one wrong move and it tears you to shreds,” he said quietly. You roll your eyes.
“Don’t you think that’s a bit of an overreaction?” you asked. Remus opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by the professor.
“Now who else would like to greet our friend?” he asked the class. Before anyone could respond, Rodolphus strutted up the front. The professor leaned over to go over the proper etiquette, but Rodolphus just waved him off. You frowned.
“This is not going to end well,” you mumbled to yourself. Rodolphus swaggered up to the hippogriff, giving him a shallow bow. The hippogriff hesitated but eventually bowed in return. Rodolphus walked up to the creature, his first mistake, and immediately reached in to touch it. The hippogriff flinched, which caused Roldophus to say something to him. You could not quite make out what he said, but it angered the hippogriff. He reared his head and lunged towards the boy. The students around you began to scream and run away. Professor Kettleburn lunged forward, trying to get the student out of the hippogriff’s path. Remus grabbed your arm, attempting to pull you away, but you broke free from his grasp and headed in the opposite direction. You heard him shout after you as you ran towards the creature but you ignored him. Professor Kettleburn was attempting to keep the creature at bay while Rodolphus tried to crawl away. You approached the creature and tried to get its attention.
“Don’t waste your energy on him,” you shouted at the animal. It paid you no mind.
“You’re a magnificent creature! You have no business having to deal with someone like him!” you shouted. “You’re too good for him!”
After hearing the compliment, the hippogriff turned towards you. His orange eyes still glinted with aggression and his body was tense. Rodolphus got up and sprinted away. You quickly bowed, trying to appease the creature. It huffed and shook off Professor Kettleburn’s hand. You stayed in the same position, maintaining eye contact with the creature. You silently pleaded with it to calm down. Eventually, the hippogriff lowered its head in return, the aggression leaving its eyes. You waited for him to approach you before tentatively touching his beak. The air was thick with anticipation as your peers watched you, all of them scared for your safety. After a beat, the creature nuzzled into your hand, causing you to let out a sigh of relief. Professor Kettleburn came up behind you and placed a hand on your shoulder. He ushered you back towards the other students, before dismissing class for the day.
“Okay children, that’s enough excitement for today. Feel free to head back to your dorms,” he stated, shooing you all with his hands.
You pushed through the crowd towards your friends. You were immediately wrapped into a strong hug. Sirius released you after a moment, a wide smile across his face.
“Godric you scared me half to death!” he exclaimed. “But that was wicked!” You smiled at his words. You turned towards Remus, hoping to see him smiling as well. But when he came into view, he looked the opposite of happy. His face was hard and cold and his arms were crossed stiffly over his chest.
“Remus what’s wrong-”
“How could you be so stupid,” he asked angrily, cutting you off in the process. You blinked at him, confused.
“What are you talking about?” you asked softly.
“Do you not realize what you just did? You approached that- that monster! And you practically begged him to attack you!” he yelled. You flinched at his words.
“He’s not a monster,” you responded, your voice wavering. Remus frustratedly ran his hands through his hair.
“Yes he is! Yes he is (Y/n)! But just can’t see it,” he exclaimed. Confusion filled your features.
“Remus I-”
“No. You do not get to speak. You can’t just go around and expect things like that- monsters- to not hurt you,” he yelled. Your face hardened.
“Remus I am perfectly capable of handling myself!” you yell back, anger coursing through your veins.
“No, you’re not! You’re too naive,” he responded angrily.
“I am not naive and you do not get to talk to me like I’m a child,” you yelled back. Remus just shook his head.
“One day, you’re going to try and tame the wrong creature and you’re going to get hurt. You don’t understand these things,” he said, quieter than before. He takes one last look at you before turning on his heel and storming off towards the castle.
You watch him leave, tears forming in your eyes. Your anger had dissipated, leaving only sadness and confusion in its wake. Remus had never spoken to you like that before. He had always been soft and sweet, the opposite of the man who had just screamed at you. You turn towards Sirius, who’s shocked expression matched yours.
“What was that all about?” you asked Sirius, who was avoiding your eyes. He sighed.
“Remus is going through some things right now,” was his only response. You scoffed through your tears.
“And how does that give him the right to speak to me like that?” you countered. Sirius kicked a pebble on the ground.
“It doesn’t. But just give him time,” was his reply. You shook your head, begging the tears to stay at bay. You quickly turned and stalked back to the castle.

𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐒, 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐃'𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐑. Parte III
—No, mejor iré a preparar té.
—Tenía razón Bella, no dijo absolutamente nada.

Is that RODOLPHUS LESTRANGE stepping out into Diagon Alley? Ministry records tell us that they were born on 19 FEBRUARY and are a 40 year old, PURE BLOOD who works as a WIZENGAMOT AT THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. Some have said that they can be described as being CHARISMATIC, WELL KEPT & SMOOTH however, they also see themselves as being COLD, MERCILESS & SPITEFUL. Apparently, HE looks a lot like DAVID GANDY, whoever that is, and if they had to pick a side in the war, they would choose to JOIN THE DEATH EATERS.

POSITIVE TRAITS: Charismatic, Well Kept, Smooth
NEGATIVE TRAITS: Cold, Merciless, Spiteful
PATRONUS: A Snowy Owl: The snowy owl is traditionally thought to possess strong magic and have insight into the future. Snowy owls, like other varieties of owls, represent wisdom, but the white bird also means a transition may be coming.
BOGGART: A Sword: The Boggart would take the form of a sword. It seems odd to most, but it represents falling on a sword. Whether it’s losing his family, losing the war or dissapointing those who look up to him. Pride and ego hold a large place in Rodolphus’ heart and loosing that means losing everything. When casting the Riddikulus charm, the sword would turn into a serpent that he could order away.
WAND TYPE: Length: 13.5” Wood: Redwood, rigid, . Wand-quality redwood is in short supply, yet constant demand, due to its reputation for bringing good fortune to its owner. As is usually the case with wandlore, the general populace have the truth back to front: redwood wands are not themselves lucky, but are strongly attracted to witches and wizards who already possess the admirable ability to fall on their feet, to make the right choice, to snatch advantage from catastrophe. The combination of such a witch or wizard with a redwood wand is always intriguing. Core: Dragon Heartstring. As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner. The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental

TATTOOS: Rodolphus has ink covering the top of both his hands. It’s full coverage that reaches his top knuckles, with letters one each finger in the space between top and middle knuckles. There’s a rose with the stem tattooed down the length of each thumb, one for his father and one for his mother. The family crest is woven into an intricate design on his right hand and the names of Rabastan, Rosemary and Bellatrix are woven into the left along with a depiction of a wild wolf for Fenrir. Those he cares for the most. For now, the tattoos reach the top of his wrist but will eventually spread to full sleeves on both sides.

There are few wizards Death Eaters fear as much as they do Voldemort… Rodolphus Lestrange is one of them. He may not be among the same caliber as Voldemort and Dumbledore but his mean streak rivaled that of the Dark Lord. He instilled fear into his victims long before allowing them the mercy of death and even then, it was slow and excruciating. It is for that reason, and the trust the Dark Lord has in him that placed him as the Leader of the Death Eaters, he answers only to their Lord. He holds the respect of those in the Rebellion, whether it be by fear, envy or mutual appreciation- he doesn’t care, they know better than to go against his orders. In a time of such turbulence, insolence will not be tolerated. If they wanted to win this war, tightening their ranks was the only course of action.
