And yeah, sorry for going wild in the tag section of your post. It just reminded me on my current chapter where Alistair is aware of ppl whispering behind her back and wants to punch everyone due to that. Tho then Mahariel is already one step ahead and opens up her speech to the troops with “Listen up assholes” (if for other reasons, but ehh details) and Alistair is all “You got this, I hold your flower” xD 

No but for real, I love their equal footing and supportive dynamic with (my) Mahariel being the one handing out the punches and Alistair cheering her on. (As it should be)
