First Meeting

Osomatsu

A groan left Osomatsu when he saw that his horse lost. 'Man, this is why I stick to pachinko' he grumbled in his head. He looked at the little paper in his hand.

"Now, what do I do? It's too early to head back home" he whined, wanting to stay out longer

"Why not just bet on one more horse?" Jyushimatsu asked

Osomatsu narrowed his eyes at his little brother. Yeah, because it was that easy. "Yeah sure, you got couple more yen I can barrow?" he asked to which Jyushimatsu shook his head rapidly, "well, there's the answer! I don't have money and neither do you" he sighed once more, "let's just go, I'll try pachinko tomorrow"

Jyushimatsu stuttered as he tried to warn his older brother, but it was too late. As Osomatsu turned around to leave, he bumped into someone else so comically that they both fell back on their butts. Jyushimatsu went to help his brother who was about to shout at the person who he bumped into, only to stop when he saw it was a cute girl.

"Ow, that hurt" she muttered and then looked up at the guy who she bumped into, "Oh, sorry about that" she chuckled

Osomatsu smiled and pushed Jyushimatsu away, "Oh no problem, it was my fault" he said as he hurried to help her up. As he did, he took a quick look over at the girl while she patted the dirt off her clothes.

She was so cute! (H/L) (H/C) hair, (E/C) eyes, and (S/T) skin. She wore a (F/C) sweater over a white shirt and a cute blue skirt. Pretty normal for a day out but she looked so damn cute in it.

"Oh, sorry you lost" she said, bring him out of his head. He blinked at her in question, and she pointed to the paper in his hand, "your horse. Sorry you lost"

Osomatsu glanced at his paper, remembering why he was angry a while ago, and scoffed, "oh don't worry about that" he laughed, "no big deal, nothing to worry about" he rubbed the back of his head and then gave her a smile, "so what brings you here? You don't seem like the type to be here"

The girl shrugged, "dad, asked me to come" she answered, "he said he was too busy with work but that he really wanted to come and bet on one of the horses" she rolled her eyes, "so he told me to come and try out my luck with his money"

"Oh really? So how lucky are you?" Osomatsu asked as he wiggled his eyebrows at her. Jyushimatsu rolled his eyes at his older brother. 'I thought we were leaving'

She chuckled at his actions, "Are you asking about right now or with the horses?" She asked, "cause I'm liking my situation right now"

Osomatsu's eyes gleamed as a blush rose to his cheeks. Jyushimatsu's eyes widened at the fact that a girl, any girl, was flirting with his shitty older brother.

The girl giggled and showed him her paper, "but my luck with the horses is pretty good too" she said and Osomatsu's eyes widened when he saw that she had bet on the winning horse. He's had his small lucks with the horses too, but with the way she's talking, it was as if she rarely came here. The girl smirked as she watched his eyes turn to stars, "do you want it?" she asked. Osomatsu snapped out of it and starred at her in shock, "I don't really care about these things and dad could use a break from all this" she said as she nudged to paper towards him

Osomatsu stared at her with wide eyes. Jyushimatsu couldn't believe his ears either. Was she new in town? There was almost no one in this town who didn't know about him and his brothers at this point. Let alone anyone who would be so nice to give them a winning chance at anything! It almost brought tears to his eyes!

"Hellooo?" she called bringing him back again, "you want it or not?" Osomatsu blinked in confusion as his mouth opened and closed, not sure what to say. The girl chuckled and took his paper and replaced it with hers, "it's not a lot but at least you won something, right?" she said as she started walking past him

Osomatsu finally snapped out of it and turned to her, "Wait!" he called and ran up to her, getting her attention. She turned around and smirked at him, "uh, um, thanks for this" he gestured to the paper, "w-what's your name?"

The girl turned around and gave him a wink, making both Matsu's eyes widen, and their cheeks redden. "My name's (y/n) (L/n)" she chirped and walked over to the boy in the red sweater, "and what's your name?"

"Oh, I'm Osomatsu Matsuno" he said very excitingly, making (y/n) smile happily at him

"Well, I hope I see you again soon, O-So-Ma-Tsu~" she sang and turned to walk away.

Jyushimastu gasped and jumped back to his spot next to Osomatsu. "Did that just happen?" Osomastu asked with a goofy grin, to which Jyushimatsu just nodded his head strongly. Osomastu's smile grew as he clenched his hands, scrunching up the paper, "the others won't believe this" he said just as happily.

Jyushimatsu, again, shook his head rapidly. 'No way they'll believe us' he thought

Karamatsu

"Come on, Karamatsu!" Todomtsu whined, "we have been here for hours, when can we go?"

The two Matsunos have been at the clothing store for hours. The second oldest Matsuno had been looking though the racks, saying he's looking for the perfect clothes for himself, but to no avail yet. Todomatsu agreed to go, thinking he could get some clothes for himself. But he had chosen his clothes, bought them and now they were in their bags, and all that was left was for Karamatsu to choose his own clothes.

"Not just yet my brother" he said, not taking his eyes off the clothes, "these clothes just aren't right" he grumbled, "how will I impress my Karamatsu girls with these clothes? They have to be right, or it just won't work"

"Then let's go! You can try again tomorrow" Totty cried out

Karamatsu only hummed in thought. Yes, he could leave but if he did, he could miss the opportunity to find something really good right now. "I don't know..." he grumbled

Totty was about to scream at his brother when all of a sudden, a shimmering shirt was nudged on Karamatsu's arm. The two turned their attention to whoever was holding it and they saw a cute girl with (H/L) (H/C) and (E/C) eyes looking up at him a bit shyly.

"Sorry for being so forward, but I happened to overhear your little problem" she said with a small smile. The two blushed at her and listened attentively. "I wouldn't suggest this, but I did notice your pants and thought you might like this shirt"

Todomatsu and Karamatsu looked at his pants to see that he was wearing his sparkly pants...again.

Karamatsu smiled at her, "You're totally right! That is a great shirt!" he said happily as he took it

Todomatsu narrowed his eyes at his brother, "Yeah, no way in hell" he muttered quietly, but loud enough for Karamatsu to glare at him

"Do you work here?" Karamatsu asked, "I would certainly come by more often if a cutey like you were here" he said with a wink, "especially when you seem to understand my taste in fashion so well"

The girl blushed and waved her hands, "oh no, I don't work here" she smiled, "I just thought you needed help" she said and then glanced at the pink covered boy next to him, "your brother seemed ready to explode"

"Oh don't worry about him" Karamatsu said quickly before Totty could say anything, "what's your name beautiful?"

The girl's eyes widened at his forwardness, "(Y/n) (L/N), nice to meet you" she said

"I'm Karamatsu, the pleasure is all mine" he said eccentrically, Totty only rolled his eyes at him

The girl chuckled, "Um, I have to go but I hope to see you soon, Karamatsu" she said sweetly and walked off, but she turned back before that, "and I bet you'll look good in that" she said and walked off

The two brothers' eyes widened, and Karamatsu blushed as he watched (Y/n) walk away. "NO WAY!" Todomatsu yelled as he grabbed his brother's shirt, "A cute girl wants to see you again!? You!?" he screamed. Only for Karamatsu to have a smile on his face, not listening to his younger brother.

Choromatsu

"Nyaa-chan was as cute as ever!" Choromatsu fawned as he walked out of the concert hall. "So was Totoko"

It was one of those days where he just got to be by himself, without his brothers to judge or ruin the moment for him. "Oh, I wonder what souvenirs they have" he said out loud and ran to where they had all the merch at a table near the exit. He would do another Meet&Greet but he didn't have enough for that this time around. That and he was still embarrassed from when his shitty oldest brother did.

He'd have to give it a little longer before he did that again. He was pretty sure Nyaa-chan still remembered that incident.

"Let's see here" he wondered as he looked around the table. As usual, there was more stuff for Nyaa-chan then poor Totoko. "What to get? What to get?" he muttered. Then he saw a small figure of Nyaa-chan at the corner of the table...the very last one, too!

Choromatsu reached over to grab it. Only for his hand to bump into a smaller one's. He was about to yell at the person to get lost it was his, but his mouth closed when he saw a girl look up at him in surprise.

"Oh, sorry, were you going to buy it?" she asked

His cheeks grew pink as he gave her a once over. Her pretty (H/C) hair was up in a (short/long) ponytail and her (E/C) looked at him all innocent-like. He blinked when she spoke up again.

"Oh, uh, you can have it" he said happily

"But, you were going to buy it, right?" she asked

Choromatsu waved his hands, "Oh don't worry about it!" he chuckled, "there's always next time"

"But this is a limited edition Nyaa-chan model" she said making him freeze in his spot. She realized that he did not know that, and she chuckled. She picked up the model and placed it in his hands, making him shake his head and look at her, before she picked up a, smaller, Totoko model.

"What? But-"

"How about, you take Nyaa-chan and I take Totoko-chan" she said happily. "I don't mind, I like them both"

Choromatsu couldn't believe it! Someone was doing something nice for him? Not even his brothers would be this nice to him! His cheeks turned red and small tears appeared on the side of his eyes, making her look at him in question.

"Um! What is your name, please?" he asked, rather aggressively, making her jump

"I-I'm (Y/N) (L/N)" she replied, "Nice to meet you..."

"Choromatsu Matsuno!" he replied to her with a very low bow

"Oh, well, it's nice to meet you, Choromatsu" she replied with a smile.

Choromatsu turned red all over and was close to exploding in happiness. (Y/n) Smiled at him once more and bowed before walking off to pay for her figurine. Once she was gone, Choromatsu couldn't help but swoon and fawn over the girl, gaining weird looks from the other people around him. Until he realized that no way was anyone going to believe that he just talked to a cute girl.

Ichimatsu

'Where are all the cats?' Ichimatsu thought as he walked around the streets. It was strange. Ichimatsu almost never had any difficulty finding cats. Usually, some of them showed up on his window and he'd give them some treats.

He needed to get out of the house anyway. His brothers were getting on each other's nerves, so it seemed like a good time to get out while he still could. But for some reason, he couldn't find the cats even with a bag full of cat treats and the memory of the map the Riceballs gave him a while ago.

'They all must have found a place with good food somewhere else' Ichimatsu thought somewhat sadly as he continued to walk and look around. Up until now, he thought that he was the best place for them to get treats but looks like they found some place else.

"Good kikies" the fourth Mastu stopped in his tracks when he heard a very sweet voice from the alley right next to them. He was about to keep walking when he heard a couple of meow's coming from that same alley. He smiled lightly and walked in, forgetting about the voice already.

As he got further in, he stopped when he saw a figure crouching down, their back facing him, in front of a big pile of cats. "cute kikies" they coo'd

From where he stood, he could see that they were giving the cats treats, same as what he was going to do. He looked at the group of cats sadly and was about to turn to walk away, when one of the cats saw him and ran to him. 'ESP Kitty?'

The figure turned to follow the cat, and noticed Ichimatsu standing there. The boy flinched, his mind already thinking the negative of the situation. 'She's probably gonna scream and report me' he thought shakingly, 'she's alone in an alley and a random guy is standing behind her like a creep? Yeah, I'm getting my ass reported for sure'

The girl looked at him in question and then noticed the sardine snacks in his hands. She then smiled at him, "are giving the cats food too?" she asked, surprising him, "no wonder they've looked well fed for strays" she pet one of the cat's heads, "come on over. I bet they're still hungry, I didn't really bring a lot of snacks"

In his confusion, Ichimatsu got a good look at her. She had (h/l) (h/c) hair and she had a (f/c) shirt and black leggings with running shoes. Looks like she was out for a run and decided to feed the cats while out here.

The girl looked over at him when he didn't move. She then got up and walked over to him. He flinched lightly when she got closer, making her chuckle. "I'm not a biter" she said lightly and grabbed his hand to drag him over to the group of cats. Stiffly, he opened the bag of sardines and started giving them to the cats one by one.

The girl smiled as she watched the cats go up to him in comfort, as if they knew him personally already. As Ichimatsu fed the cats, he slowly started forgetting about the cute girl next to him...that is until he ran out of sardines and the cats all moew'd as if thanking him before they dispersed and walked, or jumped, off.

"Bye, kikies!" the girl smiled as she waved at them, making Ichimatsu jump, remembering that she was there. "You have a way with cats" she marveled as they walked out of the alley, "I bet they all know you really well by now, huh?" Ichimatsu only nodded as he led the way out of the alley. "Aw c'mon, cat got your tongue?" she asked with a light tease

Ichimatsu blushed lightly, "I-I always give them treats" he said

The girl gasped, "aw, you're so sweet!" she said and brought out her hand, "I'm (y/n) (l/n)" she introduced, "and who is the cat savor of the city?" she asked, only making him blush harder

"Ichimatsu Matsuno" he said as he shakingly brought his hand up to meet hers.

"I gotta go, but I hope I meet you again soon" she said as she brought out some headphones and placed them on. Ichimatsu's eyes widened, and small stars appeared in them, when he saw that she had on cat ear'd headphones without a care in the world. With a final wave, she jogged off.

Ichimatsu stayed froze for a while, his hand still in its outstretched position. Once she was out of sight, she brought his hand close to his face as if inspecting it. He had just spoken with a girl...and he even touched her! After maybe 5 minutes of staring at his hand, he stiffly walked back to his house, hoping that he does see her again.

Jyushimatsu

"Hussle, hussle! Muscle, muscle!"

Like every other day, Jyushimatsu was at the park, either practicing his swinging or playing with the kids there. Today, a little (h/c) haired boy ran over to him as asked him if he could teach him how to pitch and swing correctly.

Jyushimatsu being the silly, nice, person he is said he would if he paid him. The boy nodded and said he'll pay him if he managed to pitch and swing correctly. With a little thought, Jyushimatsu agreed.

So here they were, running laps because the boy, who is named (Brother name: B/N), messed up a swing. "Hustle, hustle! Muscle, muscle!"

"Why am I running laps!" (B/n) yelled angrily

Jyushimatsu stopped running and looked at him, "I don't know, pros run laps when they mess up don't they?" he asked as he picked up his bat

"I don't know!" (b/n) yelled, "let's just focus on pitching instead, for today" he said. Jyushimatsu agreed and did his best to explain how he should pitch correctly, only gaining a confused look from the little boy. He was about to try throwing the ball when he heard someone calling for him.

"(B/n)! (B/n), there you are!" a girl ran over to them and leaned down to catch her breath before glaring at the boy, "you're supposed to let us know when you want to come to the park! Not just walk out on your own!"

"Sorry, but I knew that this guy was going to be here for a bit today, so I had to get here before he left" (B/n) said, gesturing to the yellow clad guy next to him with the huge smile.

The girl looked over at him and noticed that he was just staring at her. She sighed and brought her hand out, "I'm (Y/n) (l/n), I'm his older sister" she introduced herself. Jyushimatsu brought up his sleeve covered hand and shook it rapidly, making her chuckled

"I'm Jyushimatsu Matsuno" he said, his smile not faltering, "(B/n) just asked me to teach him how to pitch, so I'm teaching him now" he said, clarifying what the little guy told her, "is he playing?" he asked

(Y/n) shook her head, "no, but he wants to. He's gonna enter the baseball club at his school later"

"But I need to practice first so I don't suck getting in" (B/n) grumbled as he crossed his arms

"I don't think you have to worry" Jyushimatsu said, "you're good for someone who's never played before"

The little boy's eyes widened and a huge smile spread across his face, almost rivalling Jyushimatu's own huge smile. After that, they agreed to practice a little while longer, while (Y/n) sat at a bench, watching them. After a little longer, (b/n) got so sleepy that he when he sat down next to his sister, he fell asleep.

(Y/n) giggled and Jyushimatsu helped her pick him up so she could get a good grip around him. "Hey, thank you for taking time to teach him" she thanked him

"It's no trouble at all" Jyushimatsu said, waving his sleeve around, "I always come to the park to play around...well almost every day. Sometimes I don't"

(Y/n) chuckled, "well, I hope I see you again" she said and walked away with (b/n) in her arms.

Jyushimatsu waved as she walked away and then turned to get his stuff when he suddenly stiffened up. "Did I hang out with a girl!?"

Todomatsu

"What a great haul!" Todomatsu sighed as he sat down on a bench. He had just gotten some really good looking clothes, the day was great and none of his annoying brothers were around to make him mad. "I gotta take a pic of this once-in-a-lifetime day" he said as he brought his phone out. Then he realized that he forgot his selfie stick at home. Oh well, outstretched pic it was.

He tried to take a picture, but he wasn't liking how it was coming out. He wanted everything he bought to be in the picture, but it wasn't possible.

As he tried over and over again, he didn't notice the girl who stopped walking and saw that he was struggling. After maybe 10 minutes of trying to get the perfect picture to post, he then noticed her looking at him. She flinched and bowed.

"I'm sorry for staring" she said quickly and looked at him, "I just noticed that you were having trouble taking the picture" Totty looked at his phone and then back at her, as if asking if that was all. "if you want, I can take it for you" she said

Todomatsu took a quick second to take her in. She had (h/l) (h/c) tied back so it was out of her face, she had (e/c) eyes and she wore a mask over her mouth, not uncommon around these parts. And she was wearing a simple (f/c) track suit. Totty didn't see anything wrong with her offer so he smiled and lent her the phone, "okay, sure" he said and got in position as she took his phone

With a quick couple photos, Totty asked her which ones looked the best, and with her help, chose the best and posted them on his social media.

"Wow thanks" he chirped once they were posted, "if it wasn't for you, I probably would've just given up and went home without taking a good selfie" he laughed, "hey, what's your name? Maybe I can tag you on it. You know, credit the camera person. I'm Todomatsu" he added quickly, leaving out his last name for obvious reasons

The girl's eyes widened when she realized she didn't even introduce herself yet, "Oh, sorry about that. I'm (Y/n), nice to meet you" she brought down the mask and smiled at him, "you don't have to add me or anything, I was just happy to help

"Well, your help was greatly appreciated" he smiled at her, "well, I better get home. My poor mother will be needing my help with my brothers soon" he said

"Your brothers?"

"Yeah, they're a handfull and I help mom out around the house" he lied

"Oh, well, I shouldn't keep you, then" she smiled at him, "nice to meet you"

"Same, I hope to meet you again" he said with a wave. 'Oh man, she was really cute' he thought as he walked off, then he paused when he realized something, 'damn it! I forgot to get her phone number!' he internally panicked, 'now I really hope to meet her again!'

what was osoeri's first date like !!

Osomatsu and erina went on sooo many “dates” pre relationship when they hung out, but I imagine when they actually got together and schedule their first official lovey dovey date as a couple… Osomatsu might overthink it and get nervous and stiff about it… this is a big milestone… he should be more proper right??

He’s never cared about being proper before, but he doesn’t want erina to rethink their relationship if the date goes badly.. it’s one of his rare moments of overthinking with his pea brain.. hiding under the couch because now that they’re dating there’s serious risk of things going wrong….

And so he picks her up in his blue suit, trying to be flirt but uncharacteristically stiff. He is blown away by Erina’s charismatic cheerfulness, treating this like it’s one of their ordinary hangouts! It’s not that she isn’t nervous either but she can mask it more easily.. and when she sees that Osomatsu is nervous, she takes the responsibility of taking the lead, not minding to take his hand first and yap at him and there’s never any pressure for him to answer .. and he is googoo eyes at her as he’s dragged along.. looking at shops in town as they swing their hands together

I think they would go to kareoke and order drinks and snacks… Osomatsu quietly shaking the maracas at erina singing upbeat goofy songs, and eventually he’d be laughing and loosening up. They duet funny dirty songs, watch videos, do bits!!

And I think they would go to chibitas where Osomatsu would brag to chibita about their new relationship, and erina gushes comically.. making a big gross played up lovey dovey bit in front of chibita who is just like e___e ok… Erina always pays him so he’s not as cruel this time… plus they seem happy as creepy as it is to him… it would be silly and not too serious.. being more genuine when they’re alone again

I think on the quiet walk home to Erina’s place, Osomatsu would be more bold in testing out affection with erina, even though it wouldn’t be his first time putting his arm around erina it would feel a lot more intimate as he doesn’t need to hold back as much… aarughhh googoo bears ok that’s it bye eep 😳

I will try to keep this organized, I'm a bit messy with my writing so apologies.

Describing Mizuki's personality: Mizuki is a very optimistic and seemingly oblivious person who has people pleasing habits and sorta sucks-up to anyone who they feel a connection with. They're somewhat self aware of their shitty habits and want to fix it but for now its easier to try to act oblivious towards others as they believe others think they're stupid. They have an inferiority complex, they think they're more pathetic and stupid than they actually are and some of their other traits, like their clumsiness, doesn't make them feel any better about it. They're a very happy person nonetheless and are very enthusiastic about anything new that happens in their life. They're a very polite, shy person when talking but when familiar with someone, will express their emotions much more and often talk too fast for their head because of how rarely they do talk to others, words get jumbled.

Zuki Lore stuff lol: Mizuki has spent the majority of their adult (and late teen) life alone, besides an elderly dog they'd once adopted, they regularly went out and got jobs and such but they never got close with others after they ran away from home and felt very isolated. They barely ever scraped by, and it hasn't changed even as a full-time dog walker, but they're very optimistic about things, despite what they've experienced, and enjoy the job and the dogs whom they see as company. (I'll explain why they ran off someday but for now here's where they were right before meeting Karamatsu)

Mizuki was out walking to their next job when they saw Karamatsu in one of his usual shitty outfits, and they got really excited about his outfit. They admired him for it and wanted to go compliment him, but because they're a big scaredy cat, they basically walked around in a big circle trying to work up the courage to do it. Eventually they went up and complimented him, Karamatsu reacted differently than what Zuki expected cause he started talking and wouldn't stfu. Despite not fully understanding what he was saying, they listened to him and eventually they asked him if they could walk and talk. Mizuki enjoyed talking/listening to him and wanted to seize the opportunity to make a friend. Because they haven't casually conversated with another human being in a long time, they just ended up sounded like some obsessed idiot, which Kara was taken aback by and stopped the "cool guy" act for genuine shock. Anyway, Zuki gives Kara their number and asks him to call to hang out again (Zuki doesn't fear stranger btw (idiot has no self preservation)). And they both separate and neither know if the other will see eachother again

Mizuki doesn't get a call but they do start seeing who they think to be Karamatsu everywhere and they start getting confused. Eventually, it leads to the brothers contemplating lying and pretending to be Kara to hang out, which eventually fails when Zuki meets Osomatsu at a park while walking a dog in the evening. Oso explains the whole spiel about the others and sextuplets and the like. Zuki is hesitant of him as he is a lot more rude than the others, but they walk him home anyways for company. Oso is the one to break the silence and get's on Karas ass for not saying anything about his new "friend".

The noise level at Chibita's oden cart could have been labeled as a disturbance of the peace had Chibita thankfully not placed his establishment outside of the neighborhood. Osomatsu, who was already three beers deep had of course taken his usual boisterous approach of fawning and flattery with Totoko, who had decided to join him strictly with the premise that he was paying of course. But even after his fanboying and praises, at some point, and maybe it was just the beers finally living up to its name of liquid courage - Osomatsu decided that he would ask Totoko for her honesty in a question that he'd thought about for a while now. "Do you actually ever plan on getting married one day, Totoko-chan? Isn't that just some bullshit to tie you down?" he murmured, poking a piece of konnyaku. She scoffed, "Please, I'd only be in it for the wealth anyway. Love is really what's bullshit." Osomatsu laughed to himself while he watched her pour another beer for herself, "Wow, you really are just as shitty as me." Immediately rage seethed through Totoko, and her hand curled around the beer bottle threateningly, "Don't insult me, you stupid, braindead NEET." He tilted his head to lean on his hand now, his opposite hand swaying his glass of beer from side to side, "Ehhh? But I'm only telling you the truth - we think a lot alike. Who needs love when I could have the shit I really want in a woman - money and a stupid hot body." Totoko swore she would have punched him square in the face if it didn't mean spilling her drink at the same time. She instead turned her head at his grotesque words, "Hmph. You're annoying when you're honest, Osomatsu-kun." He chuckled at that and took another swig. Pleasant exhales simmered down to a thoughtful hum, "Ahh, but at least I mean it when I say it." That caught her attention. With some confusion clearly in her expression he continued, “You know you don’t mean that shit. You want love and chemistry and to be happy whatever whatever, and sure if the money’s there it’s a plus,” he exentuated that last word with a verbal shrug before he popped a boiled egg into his mouth, “But you want something real. Someone real. I may be stupid, but even I can see that.”

Osomatsu munched on the bits of oden he picked at, effectively stunning Totoko to silence. Rarely was Osomatsu ever this honest, yet she knew he only reserved it for when he was being purely genuine. Still, it shook her that he could see right through her so easily. She absorbed his words, realizing that her stints in trying to procure a husband strictly for monetary gain never ended well. It was always she asked for too much or she smelled like fish or worse - they played her at her own game, using her for optics to the point where it felt like a contractual agreement. None of those things felt good to her.

She watched the eldest of the sextuplets as he simply kept eating and drinking, as though he hadn’t just verbally told her about herself. This same idiot who, even though he and his brothers basically worshipped the ground she walked on, had no problem being blunt with her when he felt it called for it. Something most people never wanted to do, lest they fall out of her good graces or worse: piss her off. But Osomatsu didn’t fear her. Never judged her. Supported her without question. Maybe he even…actually could love…

Totoko stood up. The noise startled Osomatsu at first until he realized she was leaving, “Haaa? Where you going, Totoko-chan?” he slurred, eyes following her movements. Something inside her stirred…but she felt she needed some time first. Maybe the beer was starting to affect her - maybe it was something else. Either way, she needed to be alone and think on what this feeling in her chest was.

“Home, for now” she replied flatly. The eldest groans of disappointment sounded behind her, but she lent him a small smile as a consolation, “Let’s come back here soon together, okay?”

Osomatsu’s normal grin doubled in size, eyes shining like headlights, “You got it! I’ll always say yes for beers with you, Totoko-chan!” She rolled her eyes and turned on her heel towards home, “Yeah, yeah…goodnight, Osomatsu-kun.”

Cheesy grin melting into his tone he drunkenly waved her off, “Bye bye, love youuuu Totoko-chaaaaan.” Misjudging whether or not she was within earshot, Osomatsu turned to Chibita, his voice sobered and absolute when he said, “That woman’s gonna be my wife one day.”

Totoko smiled inwardly at that.

Matsuno Karamatsu as a Caregiver

Karamatsu is the coolest caregiver in the world and he wants everyone to know it! He'll show his kiddo off every chance he gets to anyone who'll listen.

Has a bajillion pet names for his kiddo (usually in his flashy English) from “little one” to “little angel” to “little rock star,” but he always tacks on “little” or some other adjective to make his kiddo feel small.

Loves to dress his little one up, and is especially fond of matching them with his own outfits. Fashion shows are a VERY common thing with him.

He writes special songs for him to play on his guitar and sing along with his kiddo, but also is eager to strum along as his little one takes the stage and makes up a song as they go.

Very rowdy and playful having grown up with five brothers, but not quite as rough-and-tumble as Osomatsu or Jyuushimatsu. He's big on playful hair ruffles, piggy back rides, and spinning his kiddo around in the air.

He's a fan of theatrics, so he's very good at pretend play! He can make up a good story on the fly, be it a daring adventure for a knight in shining armor, an elegant tea party for a sophisticated royal, or an epic rock concert in front of millions of fans! He's happy to fill whatever role his kiddo needs, though he can sometimes get a little dramatic and goes all-out with costumes and props!

On the rare occasions that he has to take his young one along with him on errands or to do chores, he’ll use that theatrical advantage of his to spin it into some kind of game. A run for groceries turns into a quest for lost relics, or maybe cleaning a messy room becomes an archaeological excavation.

He likewise uses his outrageous storytelling to get his kiddo to do things they need to do but might not want to at first. Don’t want to take medicine? Well, what if I told you this was a very special medicine with friendly little Jyuushimatsus inside that would go into your body to fix it up? Don’t want to clean up toys? Oh no! You gotta help all your stuffies get in their homes because a BIG rainstorm is coming! Don’t let them get rained on!

He makes a point to be very attentive to all of his little one's needs, all with his own Karamatsu flair. Is their sparkly sippy full? Have they had a fancy snack recently? Is it a nice day to play outside in the gorgeous sunshine or stay indoors and sing the rain away? He prides himself on being able to provide for his kiddo before they even realize what they need and spoils them to the moon and back.

That being said, he has a tendency to run himself ragged this way and often joins his little one in much-needed afternoon naps.

Sometimes he gets caught up in his own head if he can’t get a good read on his kiddo’s needs or makes a mistake. He gets really self-conscious, and it’s times like those when a little reassurance from his little angel goes a long way, in the form of snuggles, a drawing, or a game of pretend where it’s his turn to be the star!

Okay so this is continuing off the 'first' meeting, Choro has approached the table with Oso, (who just witnessed Otome pull a con while being cute and bubbly, and then watched as she let that mask fall to talk with their buddies) and they're now being all bubbly cutey again toward the brothers.

So then theyre like doing their cute little shtick to them and even tho Oso knows its a scam to get money from otaku pervs, he almost finds himself falling for it, i genuinely think she gets the rest of Choros money that he had planned to use for other artists by paying Otome to give him these kisses (on the merch and on his cheeks), and afterwards he's like, shriveled and deflated. Otome looks to Oso and …… like i know what i WANT to be said here but, i don't know how Oso would reply, but i think... Otome asks him if he's interested as well and he turns them down either because he opens his wallet and a fly flies out OR like, i want him to maybe say something like that he KNOWS their shtick and that he was watching the whole time and Otome just responds with like the expression below being like "tee hee you got me"

OKAY SO I think that ends with like Oso picking up the shriveled, lipstick mark covered Choro and he looks at Otome, he looks at her wares one more time, which has boobs plastered everywhere, and then looks at Otome again who is standing there with their hands on their hips cause since he knows the cute thing is a scam might as well just stand normally and he just smirks and says 'nice tits' and she pauses and smirks and she crosses her arms in a way that pushes up her boobs and is like 'mine or the art?' and i thiiiink he would respond with 'why not both?' and laughs and walks off with Choros corpse?? i think... yeah

So the next time they cross paths is a few weeks later actually and its late at night and Otome is chilling at night in the park, like same one where Nyaa 'fell in love with' Oso i think?? Otome is just on a bench, drinking some beer, relaxing, and Oso is cutting through the park to head home and sees them and i think he doesnt know/remember their name so i think he, because he is Oso and has no tact and doesnt care if there are people around (there are) and just yells 'hey pervert!' basically yelling 'hentai' at them, and they have a little spat like 'oh my god dont go around just yelling that!' and hes like 'whaaaat why not its what you are isnt it? whacha doin out here? ohh hey you got beer? any chance youd be willing to give me one????' and they look in their plastic bag with their beer and their snacks and are feeling generous so they actually do give him one and they kinda just shoot the shit? like they talk, they finally learn eachothers names… i want the exchange to be funny but im not sure how… but anyway he ends up asking about their work, like asking about different kinks theyve drawn and stuff, and theyre just being totally open about it and not being shy or anything about sex stuff and Osomatsu is like… not smitten but like… hes like enraptured with her? like 'hoooolllyyy shit shes just talking about blowjobs and tit fucks like its nothing' in his head and then its revealed that theyre out right now procrastinating working because, the scene from this piece, theyre on the bench complaining about their editor not liking armpits or whatever, so theyre procrastinating and theyre out drinking cause they cant get any good ideas and then they kinda falter and they get this look on their face that they just got an idea, but right then they get a call from their editor or something to figure out their gameplan and they have to leave and tell Oso that its been fun and give him the last beer to take And then timeskip to a few weeks later and Oso is reading hentai Choro picked up, and theres a story thats kinda vaguely familiar about two people meeting in the park, theyve met before at a book fair or something, then they have sex in the park or something like that, and Oso realizes that its Otome who drew it and basically assumes that they wanna have sex with him…. tee hee end episode/bit there

My personal headcanon is that. What actually brings them all together is ichimatsu ending up in the hospital from his illness..I mean they were all apart for like Months ic . And he was definitely on the streets for a While. But as you saw he was getting pretty sick and collapsing in front of strangers. He's lucky that the couple was there to help catch him otherwise he would just hit the pavement. But he's clearly too prideful to return back home and doesn't want the shame and stigma of needing help from his family and I know it's a cultural thing but also I think he's just generally very... Stubborn. Absolutely wouldn't want to ask for any help. So it would end until he got brought to a hospital and that's the thing that brings everybody back together and gets them talking. Because the same thing happens in season 2 with the father. They were having a big fight and the one thing that could get them all together was their father in a similar sitch and then they all started taking life a little more seriously? You'll see when we get there but yeah I think that it would be the only realistic thing that could get them talking . Ichimatsu is going to be fine he's not going to be like injured or hurt or anything. He's just going to be very badly sick for a bit

But also. Ichimatsu's self worth is so abysmally low as we know . That like... Not only do I feel that would lead him properly being taken care of and have the others help him understand his worth, and show how they value him... But I also think that's actually something he desperately needs to hear. He's not a guy who lets others take care of them very often. But I think that.. because of how dysfunctional the family has become and the drifting from most of the brothers. Even if they do still deeply care about one another it's clear their dynamics are all sorts of fucked up , and ichimatsus depression and isolating tendencies are left to fester a bunch when jyushi isn't trying to help .

I think it would really do him good to have a reminder every now and then that his family does actually care about him ( or at least his brothers do .. their parents are fuucked up most of the time and don't bother to remember their names idk how to feel about them ) Even if he usually hates such attention It's... necessary sometimes And honestly would kickstart ichimatsus character development to what he Becomes in these next seasons bc otherwise there's no real reason why he just turns to a weird little cat guy Who isn't as much of a freak

And then there could have been a whole reaction from oso himself. Maybe he's even the reason they are all united again, with reaching out to the bros even if he feels like it's a long shot. Maybe he found ichi, too. Would rattle him into loosening up and we know that would be the case cause of season 2. Talking out why he was so angry instead of him letting it fester. AND A FUCKING APOLOGY TO JYUSHI

Personally I think it's like. He genuinely felt betrayed not because he didn't want his brothers to succeed but because he wasn't ready to separate in any way / he is .. like very over protective in his own way ( even if he rarely shows it ) over his brothers. He doesn't care if they have a job or a girlfriend or if they try to better themselves. We see that he is completely okay with that stuff. But he is absolutely not fine with anyone leaving , for a variety of reasons that only make sense if you know the context of osomatsu-kuns series. It shouldn't have manifested as anger but it did and then he just kind of got this attitude like "well clearly you don't care about US if you're moving out so I'm not gonna care about you. You're dead to me."

But then he kept. Hurting his brothers or getting really dicey and mean to them because he doesn't know how to regulate not lashing out Which isn't great but . That's what it feels like they were going for. and on top of that, they all felt like they needed to rush out and get a job and be like choro, grow up and function without any actual guidance or clue as to how to actually make it. Otherwise, the show wouldnt have gone out of its way to show how they were barely scraping by / how uncomfortable and miserable they were; they werent ready for this in the slightest, but it's what is expected of them. even if it crushes their spirit. even if they miss home and they miss their brothers so badly.

anyways ... it was pretty clear that osomatsu absolutely should have received that letter choromatsu wrote. Hed moved out basically the same day he told them he had a job -- all ready to leave without saying a prior word ( and he meant to leave that letter for them but alas he forgot to ) Nobody was happy about anyone moving out but the parents, and with osomatsu refusing to apologize/ getting so physical if you tried to bring it up. None of the other brothers wanted to be around him I mean. Osomatsu isn't a guy you can just drop that on and he'll be ok with it. He needs a lot more heads up before it happens, because he's clearly got some attachment issues and a weird relationship with family feelings.

The others weren't very happy, they said they were pretty sad but wanted to celebrate being happy for choros sake. But you saw how he hurt jyushi, and then how he hurt todomatsu after Todo scolded him for not seeing choro off. which is significant, because despite not acting like it totty DOES deeply care for his brothers ( otherwise he wouldn't have been in tears when choro Did leave . And he left cause oso hurt him pretty bad; if oso hadn't done that I genuinely think he'd have stayed ) Plus also choromatsu did arrange all of the living place arrangements without letting anyone know for a long time. I guarantee he felt betrayed because.. well in ep 23s end in the bathhouse choromatsu straight up lied to them When he said he would give up on a job and a house and blah blah blah He was being weirdly dodgy and nervous and then that carried into ep 24 When it's revealed the reason WHY is because he was about to drop that moving out the same day bombshell on them

]And if there is one thing osomatsu hates the most. It is ABSOLUTELY. liars Of any kind. That is consistent throughout the show. He hates when his brother's lie to his very core. He hates in anybody lies really but especially his brothers. That's why he sabotaged totty's job at Starbucks, because totty didn't think being himself was good enough. Everything he SAID to the girls he was hitting on was a complete lie, he was ashamed to be who he was and osomatsu was having none of it They could handle the insults and the worries about girls. But where osomatsu draws the line is all the lying about University, his home life, his personality, everything. So he got all the brothers to go along with him and make an ass out of themselves to get totty fired Cuz they were being completely normal at first until they found out that he Was being such a liar I have analysis on totty about why he did that too but the focus is osomatsu here

and i just think it's criminal that they were too cowardly to tackle and discuss this unlike in later seasons. didn't grow their balls yet i guess basically though about choro's letter. that could have been key to help osomatsu understand hiding it wasn't a choice choromatsu made out of maliciousness but rather nervousness. i think if anyone needed to hear those words it was very much osomatsu and it was a cop out that he never got to. that wouldn't have fixed everything, but it would have fuckin helped.

...But in a living situation like the brothers where their trust is constantly shattered all the time by everyone but each other ( + all the trauma that happens to them both as kids in osokun and adults in ososan that's just.. shrugged off and never thought about again despite being Canon and very clearly still affecting them in later eps ) and how oso insists many things should be a "sibling discussion" even if it makes little sense to be. and why he's so brutally honest ( too much so at times. he won't even really tell little white lies even when he knows they can be useful ) + prioritizes honesty and hates liars so much. too many people lie to them already, can he not even trust his own brothers now?

so, i can see why he acts the way he does. doesn't JUSTIFY it. i still wanna kiill s1 oso with hammers. but. hey he gets better <:3 also one last addendum my friend theo said becauyse this is also truth

Osomatsu is a character that needs communication. he exists insecurely which makes me rather sad for his existence where he will be in vulnerable situations and ask for reassurance / look for it which is something that he isn't good at, him isolating and shutting down is his way to ask for help and reassurance,. only in season 2 after the scare of thier father is when he actually begins to communicate and be more vocal about the way the world is effecting him and the fear he experiences. that's when he realizes ' hey.. why am I forcing myself to exist and rush through all of this right now because my dad was sick and i realized the mortality and fragility of life and how it can end in a second ' and it helps him grow up very quickly in a short time as we see the effects in the third season ( and the first movie ). HE"S STILL NOT THE BEST BROTHER MIND YOU but he's also in a position where he's learning and growing as a person through his experiences in his life and these crushing realities of how the adult world is and how they are expected to act

Oh I never like "reviewed" Classicaloid

Legitimately hard to describe this anime...

I started it when it was airing back in 2016. Would have preferred one of those short 12 or 13 week animes but... it turned out to be a 25 week anime and then season 2 that same year so...

It was 50 eps.

It did not need 50 eps.

Regardless, its a fine anime. Like, nothing to write home about, but fine. Its unique in the sense that it was about classical composers in the modern era all living under one roof. They all have their own main quirk.

Beethoven is an extreme hyper-focused perfectionist (I related hard) and is mainly obsessed with gyoza. Mozart takes nothing seriously/is super playful and is obsessed with girls (farts a lot too). List is obsessed with love and looking good. Schubert is obsessed with Beethoven and gets whisked away by a kite a lot. Chopin is an introverted gamer who mostly hides in a box. And there's more but I'm tired. Basically they play out these type of characters from ep 1 to the end while trying to live under a musical mansion roof of a (probably) 16 year old landlady always demanding they pay rent. And she has a mostly useless male friend.

A big positive and, I dont know if this was because of years (my liveblogs show this torture) of seeing non-stop sexualised female characters and an unequal ratio of males and females, that I cant help but praise any (rare) anime that does not do that, but this anime does not do that. At all. Pretty even split between male and female characters, and bc more male and well known composers are male, they just made those composers female in this anime. No sexualisation whatsoever. Not even slightly. So... yay.

Same director for Osomatsu, just... a lot less funny.

God this anime is just hard to describe. It literally feels like an island that only a small elite were allowed to go to for about a month before being kicked out and can never talk about it again.

Like, this anime is so unknown and idk if like... it should be more known. It's not exactly plot filled or have characters will incredible development.

• Out of all the brothers, Osomatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Karamatsu give the best hugs.

• Osomatsu because, as I mentioned before, this man has the potential to be genuinely nice and comforting when he actually tries, and the same applies to his hugs. When he is being genuine, his big brother energy also takes a massive spike. He's not the kind to act sappy or heartfelt, so he'll be running his mouth, throwing out teases and making jokes, but his hugs are very warm and full-bodied with just the right amount of squeeze.

"What, you done already? Nah, c'mere."

Is the type to hold on after the hug should have ended and fall backward, taking his huggie with him cause he thinks it's funny. But before that part, it's actually really nice!

• Jyushimatsu may be a little strange but he's undeniably a ball of joy as well and is the huggiest out of all the brothers. He's a pounce hugger too, so prepare to be jumped. Squeezes tightly and doesn't like to let go. Will koala cling to your torso or back and physically shimmie around your body to avoid being pulled off. You'll probably need help from one (or multiple) of the others to remove him, but it's still kinda sweet.

• Karamatsu likes to play Mr. Cool Guy but in reality, he's very nervous when it comes to physical affection. Offers hugs freely but gets flustered if someone takes his offer and wholeheartedly hugs him back. He'll try to keep playing it cool but has to try his hardest to hide the blush that will encompass his face. Kara lives for attention of any kind but in a much less shallow way than he may make it seem. He just wants to feel loved, so little things like that get to him.

His hugs are tight, firm, and very safe feeling. They also tend to linger for a while, so you may need to remind him to let go. He's one of the strongest of the brothers (besides Jyushimatsu, but he's a special case) so if he happens to get carried away, he might lift the person he's hugging off the ground for just a second.

His brothers rarely hug him, so when he finds someone that doesn't mind his hugs, he'll try to find any excuse to slip one into any interaction. For example:

"You dropped your hotdog? Truly a pity. Come, find solace in my arms!"

Or

"Y/n, it has been too long!"

"It's been like a week?"

"Far too long indeed! Let us commemorate our reunion with a grand embrace!"

• None of the brothers can cook very well, but Ichimatsu is probably the most capable out of all of them since he knows how to make a few simple things. He isn't nearly confident enough to let himself cook for or in front of other people, but he does so for himself sometimes when he's home alone.

• He actually started learning how because he saw someone make cat-shaped onigiri in a magazine once and had to try it himself. That's what he's best at, but he also knows how to make miso soup, okayu, and can put together a pretty cute bento box if he's feeling up to it. He also tries new recipes once in a while, provided they have a kitty-related twist that makes him want to put in the effort.

• It's not a lot, and certainly not all that impressive, but compared to his brothers it's a little something.

• I like the idea that Oso is the first of his brothers to actually get his driver's license. He doesn't have a car yet and won't anytime soon, but he puts in the time and passes his test with flying colors without much of a reason besides he just decided he wanted to do it.

• He keeps it a secret from his brothers and parents until he actually passes the exam and then brings his physical license home to show it off to no end.

• More than offended that he of all people would go ahead and do something so grown-up, Choromatsu and Karamatsu decide as the next oldest they need to as well. So this creates a domino effect, with Karamatsu deciding to take motorcycle lessons, much to the excruciation of his brothers, and Choromatsu desperately trying to catch up and get his driver's license so Oso can't hold it over him anymore.

•Surprising everyone, Karamatsu actually does manage to (just barely) pass his test and get his motorcycle license on his first try.

• Meanwhile, Choromatsu is still retrying and failing his driver's exam to this day. The poor guy is well studied and knows everything he needs to, but actually getting behind a wheel makes him so nervous that he inevitably messes up. So it looks like Oso's gonna be able to hold it over him for a while.

• The latter three are much less ambitious, since it's not like any of them even have a car to drive if they were to pass, and Totty says that their little brother privileges give them the right to be driven around by everyone else anyways.

Jyushi meta post

I haven’t seen much analysis on Jyushimatsu, so I thought I’d try and put some of the more underrated aspects of this ball of chaos into words! I have beef with some of the ways the adaptation for the dub made him seem dumber at parts, because he’s not actually that stupid, and there’s quite a bit more that makes him tick. A ton of random examples and screenshots below the cut, and a bit of extra analysis into Suuji and Kinniku. I did have a bit of difficulty splitting these into sections because some of these kind of bleed into one another, but hopefully it’s coherent enough!

1. He’s self-aware and crafty at times

Jyushimatsu definitely knows how he comes off to others, and has shown that he’s aware of how “stupid” he is a number of times.

He sometimes uses the way people perceive him to his advantage, such as how he gets out of being the one to handle all the chores in “Karamatsu and Brother”, or how he manipulates Karamatsu in order to get more candy in “Jyushimatsu and Secrets”. (Not explicitly stated but this is how I’m interpreting that skit)

In “Kerosene”, he avoids suspicion at first because no one imagines that he could be pretending to be asleep, since he’s way too stupid to do something like that. When this gets found out, he’s quick to push the responsibility of filling the kerosene onto Choromatsu. (A bit of revenge for insulting him earlier perhaps?)

His self-awareness and sneaky tactics are on full display in “The Eitarou Family”. He lies to Eitarou in order to make himself seem less of a pathetic NEET, and also bribes him with candy.

This sets him apart from someone like Osomatsu, as Jyushimatsu does actually care about how others might perceive him. It’s just that Jyushimatsu is Jyushimatsu, so the way he wants to be perceived is... unique, to say the least. This episode also shows that his gags are things that he has to intentionally come up with. He is perfectly capable of dropping the absurdity, and is visibly tense when meeting with Eitarou’s mother. He also speaks extremely politely to her throughout the interaction, and is also understanding and apologetic when she ends up freaking out over his gag, which he was reluctant to demonstrate because he had an idea of how she’d react.

Despite all of the offbeat things he says and does, Jyushimatsu isn’t exactly delusional, and is aware of how the world works a lot of the time (this is especially apparent throughout season 3).

2. He’s observant and sensitive to others’ feelings

This is shown a few times, but is probably most apparent in his dynamic with Ichimatsu. As Ichimatsu rarely voices his own feelings, Jyushimatsu has to able to pick up on when something’s off in order to make sure his brother is okay. As such, he frequently checks up on him in small ways throughout the series.

(In this scene he also cuts Ichimatsu off and leaves when he starts his self-deprecating spiel, which is neat) Jyushimatsu tries to take action for him, because he knows that Ichimatsu doesn’t usually outwardly express how he really feels.

In “The Way Home”, he tries to bring up the wedding a couple of times before he gets interrupted. We see him think carefully before he speaks, perhaps in an attempt to balance not wanting to make others feel uncomfortable with the necessity of unpacking their feelings in a healthy way. This is similar to how he sometimes goes against Ichimatsu’s surface level wishes in order to address the things that he thinks should be addressed.

He picks up on how the others are reacting to the subject, and tries to bring up the wedding again more gently by asking them about how they felt. He's also the one to bring up the subject of kids, setting the rest of the conversation into motion. He doesn’t want others to feel uncomfortable, but at the same time he wants them to be honest with themselves and their feelings.

(This isn’t to say he can’t be clueless sometimes, though.)

As Jyushimatsu wants others to be happy, he will be quick to attempt to de-escalate or lighten up a tense situation.

Speaking of being sensitive and observant, there’s also pretty much ALL of “Jyushimatsu Falls in Love”. From what we know now, it’s probably no coincidence that Jyushimatsu decided to stay in that exact spot and practice batting for over 6000 reps. Although a lot of his actions seem like the result of being both a cheerful madman and an idiot, he can also be quite thoughtful and doesn’t always do things without purpose.

At the end of the episode, we can see how determined he is to make Homura smile in between him going all out with his gags. Just Jyushimatsu doing what Jyushimatsu does best.

3. He’s rarely judgmental of others

Most of the duos with Jyushimatsu lack conflict, because Jyushimatsu is great at matching the other person’s flow. He doesn’t question them, and instead takes their lead, even if he doesn’t quite get their point of view at first. This is why he’ll often get swept up in shenanigans: he’s just here to have a good time and make others feel happy and comfortable!

Although this is one of the main reasons why Suuji get along so well, I feel as if this aspect of his character is most apparent with Kinniku. Unlike his other brothers, Jyushimatsu rarely tells Karamatsu off for being painful or embarrassing, and often humours his more outrageous statements.

In “I found this”, we can see that Jyushimatsu does not actually blindly believe Karamatsu’s nonsense as it might appear from the outside. He humours him and goes along with his weird train of logic excitedly,

but immediately chooses to go with the more logical option afterwards.

Obviously Jyushimatsu has his limits when trying to be patient and accepting.  He still gets caught up in ganging up on brothers from time to time, as is a part of being a Matsuno sextuplet.

Though more often than not, he doesn’t seem as actively malicious as his other brothers.

Most notably in “Todomatsu and the Five Demons”, he’s the only one who isn’t mad, and is just there to have a fun time. He even helps clean up afterwards!

(Maybe it’s just a Suematsu thing, actually) Other than that, he snaps at Choromatsu in “Sparkle Phantom Stream” in a rare show of anger. However, this was not before trying to help Choromatsu with each of his ideas (despite clearly being irritated).

In season 3 we got to see more of Jyushimatsu’s thought process, as he was able to play the tsukkomi role a lot more. It’s clear that Jyushimatsu is aware of his brothers’ faults, it’s just that he chooses not to criticize them most of the time. This is less so in season 3, as he expresses his opinions much more freely than before.

In short, Jyushimatsu is not limited to being just the stupid goofy brother, and I care him very much.

How would the boys react to a touch starved s/o? Like they've never cuddled, when they get hugs they kind of tear up because "wow affection is nice." I grew up in a sort of .. toxic home, so I never really got told "I love you," or got hugs, I was basically fending for myself and so now I'm kind of just touch starved and don't know how to not cry or embarass myself when someone is nice to me.

Osomatsu loves giving affection in general so expect a lot of it, he gets uncomfortable at the sight of crying so he kinda awkwardly pats you on the back lmao. He does feel bad that you’re so touch starved you cry when people hug you, but with him around you’ll get used to it in no time as he loves a good hug.

Karamatsu is a bit touch starved himself! Physical affection is his love language (along with .. yknow affirmations and such) but still! He loves to give you hugs even though you cry whenever it happens, payback for making him cry when you give him a million compliments.

Choromatsu rarely hugs as is, it was a heat of the moment kinda thing! He really missed you! He gets really worried when you start crying but when you explain why he feels terrible. No matter how flustered he gets about it he makes it a personal goal to make you no longer cry whenever hugged, so he hugs you a lot now.

Ichimatsu is a cuddly guy, can show you the ropes in that department and loves hugging so expect a lot of crying. He will awkwardly comfort you, and tell you it’s not a big deal. He guesses he kinda gets it but eh.. he does feel bad that this is the kinda reaction you get to hugs. A part of him just makes him worry why you’re touch starved.

Jyushimatsu will wipe those tears away and go back to hugging you (probably even tighter lol) and only wants for you to feel loved and cared for and will do everything he can to make sure you feel that! He hates that your so touch starved, not like he minds it in itself but it makes him sad to think you didn’t receive much of it.

Todomatsu doesn’t like seeing you cry, he can’t even tell if it’s a good or bad cry. Regardless tries to hug you more to get you more used to it so you’re ready for when his mother inevitably hugs you when you finally see her again lmao. Besides, it’s nice to feel loved and to feel special right?

Hi hello your Todomatsu takes are so so good and every time I read your posts/tags analyzing him I just go: "YES. Exactly."

I remember being active in the fandom a few years ago, and it was pretty common for people to just exclude him or make fun of him, because "satan".

(I don't know if I'm making this up or not, but I remember seeing posts laughing at those times he talked to himself, telling himself he loved himself, etc and I just ??????????)

Anyways I love how you deconstruct all of his "evil" moments and bring his underappreciated characteristics to light without reducing him to a pure angel. He is complicated and wonderful and thank you for everything you do for the Todomatsu agenda.

RIGHT?!?? PEOPLE HATED HIM!!!! like everything people hated totty for were literally just either shit his brothers did first and worst OR him being egged on by his brothers! Todomatsu's bad behavior that isn't instigated by others is SO rare!!

He's just unsympathetic lol. He's callous he's a bit more calculating than his brothers (not by much) and he's trying to set boundaries between the six. He's not nice!!! That's IT! HES NOT NICE!! And that's because he's TRAUMATIZED! he's not nice to his brothers in a way that screams nice to them because he's different!

The show doesn't point out Todomatsu's kindness because to drive the point home that the brothers are fucked up its to demonize quite normal behaviors. Todomatsu trying to have a life without his umbilical cord attached to the other five is demonized. Oh you got a phone? Evil. You can talk to people? Evil. A job? Who do you think you are, we're all neets.

And he is SO beaten down that he talks to himself because who tf is going to love him otherwise. Todomatsu constantly switches alliances and gangs up on others most of the time bc Osomatsu is doing it first but also because he needs to avoid being the one beaten. He can't rely on any of his brothers for comfort or support so he relies on himself. Which is also seen as inhuman.

Totty literally can't win for losing. If he's honest he's a piece of shit, if he lies he's a piece of shit. He isn't allowed space for himself, he isn't allowed to exist comfortably and he's not able to leave either.

But he is kinda a piece of shit still?? He's like a dog from a hoarder house and def needs a lot of specialized care and love before he should be rehomed but... I mean. He's so sweet. Not an angel but he wants to be. He's got this pure ideal of who he should be in his head, knows what to say to appear that way but falls short because no one has ever taught him patience and compassion. He's lacking examples of genuine kindness and that stops him from reaching his true potential.

Todomatsu is so interesting to me because lol same trauma same mental illness. I also hate sugary sweet totty, like if I wanted to romance a little devil archtype with no depth or bite there's probably an app for that but like. He's so realistic yknow? He's the type of guy who rehearses what to say so many times it comes out naturally.

He's the type of guy who is so desperate to appear likable that he actually repulses most people. He doesn't invoke sincerity in return for really no reason and so he's reluctant to extend it first.

But ykno I really just sit and think "what makes Todomatsu irredeemable compared to like Osomatsu?" and the simple fact boils down to people's aversion to his feminine behavior and because of projection. People often have mob mentality and only want the narrative to explain to them characters actions. Critical analysis is dead in fandoms so if the show says "He's evil" most people will mindlessly agree. If the show only says "Todomatsu is the only evil one" then people agree. It doesn't matter if the person who said it is angry at Todomatsu and is an unreliable judge bc its easier to agree if you already don't like him.

At the end of the day there's a million fucking essays about how Ichimatsu's stank ass farts are cries for helps or how Karamatsu is a poor sopping wet newborn bunny rabbit and exclusively a victim of abuse and not apart of an intricate orouboros of self cannibalism through others as both a victim and perpetrator.... Or whatever. Like people legitimately think Totty is normal and therefore not worthy of any compassion because he just has ptsd and not cptsd 🙄🙄🙄
