something we as orchestral musicians simply do not talk about enough is how the true purpose of concert black attire is not professionalism but the way it makes you feel like a spy or a sorcerer

The title theme of ORAS gives me actual chills at the end. Not many songs do that if that says anything about ORAS music

hey can we please talk about the immense shame associated with self-doubt. like i love music and ive been taking steps to be able to study it in college and frankly that’s not cheap, like i take lessons and at the moment i’m even borrowing a marimba from someone, which isn’t a piece of equipment a person can very easily get their hands on, and sometimes i just start wondering why i’m not the best person in band because i’ve had access to all these resources and i have to remember that growth takes time. and sometimes i wonder if i’m not serious enough about music and i’ve had my parents invest so much into it for nothing and i have to remember that my self-dough isn’t necessarily fact. and i don’t know, i just want to be enough and i want to chase my dream without hurting anyone but i’m scared i have commitment issues or something and like maybe i’m not passionate enough but also i have to remember to stay the course

Spitfire Audio is Pretty Neat!
My first proper plugins for orchestral works have been and still are with Spitfire Audio and their great libraries ranging from pretty expensive with so many bells and whistles to dirt cheap... also with a good amount of bells and whistles. BBC Symphony Orchestra is my go-to for someone on a budget currently.

Going further with different game tracks I wanted to incorporate more and more and eventually stumbled upon a couple more awesome plugins: Cinematic Percussion and Epic Choir!

Hoping to utilize more in the future! Until then, time to put these tools to good use!

Today's goal was to build off of the texture in studies 35 and 36, this time for percussion. I found that I needed two marimbas, so that the same tone could be struck on succesive 16ths, which also let me use many more tones in the clusters. Lastly, I added some chimes for some contrast, and a melodic layer.
As always, these pieces are welcome for anyone and everyone to play! All I ask is that you share it with me, because I'd love to hear it done by live players!
